PRODUCT DESCRIPTION
This passive infrared sensing system, connected to a 12V solenoid valve, is used
to control urinal flushing. This product is especially well adapted for locations
where there is heavy use, due to its capacity to conserve water. Its ceiling
installation avoids problems with vandalism. The kit is supplied complete with
electronics, solenoid, power pack and air break.
SETTINGS
•The electronic unit allows a large range of setting customization during the
installation process. Sensitivity can be adjusted up to a maximum range of
6mt.
• The flush duration can be adjusted anywhere from 1 – 20 seconds.
•For hygiene and odour elimination, the unit comes with pre-flushing enabled
by default. This pre-flush time is equal to half the flush time. This can be
easily deactivated during installation if so desired.
• An automatic flush occurs after the urinal has not been used for 6 hours.

The sensor eye has a maximum detection distance of 6 Metres. It has a pattern
approximate to the measurements below.

1. Install the sensor on the flush feed
line as shown in figure 2.
2. Program the selected settings using
the two jumpers and the coding wheel
as shown on the table below.
3. Connect the red and black wires to
the Faston terminals on the solenoid
valve.
4. Connect the power supply cord to the
12V DC power supply.
5. Once the unit has been connected, a
red LED (located in the centre of the
module) will blink for a few seconds
(installation phase)

• In order to set the sensing distance, turn the potentiometer clockwise to increase
the distance, and anti-clockwise to decrease it.
• Pre-flushing is deactivated when the jumper used for this function (pre-flush) is
set to the left (OFF) and active when it is set to the right (ON). In the latter case,
the pre-fl ush time is equal to half the flush time.
• A jumper (TIME) linked to the coding wheel serves to set the flush duration.
• When the jumper is set to the right, the flush duration can be set from 1 to 10
secs (coding wheel set to 1, 2, 3, ...; 0 for 10 secs).
• When the jumper is set to the left, the fl ush duration can be set from 11 to 20
secs (coding wheel set to 1, 2, 3, ...; 0 for 20 secs).

• When a user enters the detection zone, the pre-flush is triggered (if activated)
and the sensing system enters «Off set 1» mode. This means that a full flush will
occur 30 seconds after the user leaves.
• If a second user comes in during this 30-second period, the sensing system will
again enter the «Off set 1» mode. This operation may be repeated for 2 minutes,
after which a full flush will occur despite any new arrival.
• When the last user has left and the full fl ush is completed, the sensing system
returns to the «Off set 2» mode. If a user arrives while the sensing system is in
this mode, it will return to the «Off set 1» mode without a pre-flush (even if it is
activated), and after 30 seconds after the users departure a full flush occurs.
• An automatic flush occurs after the urinal has not been used for 6 hours.
