English
1. Connect preattached cable from Blanketrol CoolRepeat
to stereo input on top right side of Blanketrol console.
2. Connect cable from Blanketrol CoolRepeat “monitor”
output to temperature input on patient monitor.
3. Connect extension cable from Blanketrol CoolRepeat
“thermistor” output to patient temperature probe.
4. After connecting all cables, attach Blanketrol CoolRepeat
below cable input on body of Blanketrol console; internal
magnets will ensure it remains in place.
NOTE:
• After connecting device, please wait 30 seconds
before initiating therapy as device will proceed with
automatic self-test at start up; device ‘turns on’ when
thermistor is connected.
CoolRepeat®
CoolRepeat is a connectivity solution that allows for
patient temperature information from an indwelling patient
temperature probe to be communicated to the Blanketrol
cooling/warming system and a patient monitor.

illuminated when connected to thermistor.
• Inspect all components prior to use. Do not use any
component that appears damaged.
• For unit to function, please make sure battery is
installed and all cables are properly connected.
• Make sure to disconnect thermistor cable after use
to avoid depleting battery as device ‘turns on’ when
thermistor/patient temperature cable is connected.
• Only change battery when device is not connected
to patient.
• Remove battery from device if not likely to be used
for more than 6 months.
• Avoid movement of console when device is
connected to minimize loads on connecting cables.

equipment should be used no closer to any part of the
Blanketrol CoolRepeat device, Model 25-01, including
cables, than the recommended separation distance
calculated from the equation applicable to the frequency
of the transmitter.
Recommended separation distance:
where Pis the maximum output power rating of the
transmitter in watts (W) according to the transmitter
manufacturer and dis the recommended separation
distance in meters (m). Field strengths from fixed RF
transmitters, as determined by an electromagnetic
site survey, ashould be less than the compliance level
in each frequency range.bInterference may occur in
the vicinity of equipment marked with the following
symbol:
aField strengths from fixed transmitters, such as base stations
for radio (cellular/cordless) telephones and land mobile
radios, amateur radio, AM and FM radio broadcast and TV
broadcast cannot be predicated theoretically with accuracy.
To assess the electromagnetic environment due to fixed
RF transmitters, an electromagnetic site survey should be
considered. If the measure field strength in the location in
which the Blanketrol CoolRepeat device is used exceeds
the applicable RF compliance level above, the Blanketrol
CoolRepeat device should be observed to verify normal
operation. If abnormal performance is observed, additional
measures may be necessary, such as re-orienting or relocating
the Blanketrol CoolRepeat device.
bOver the frequency range 150 kHz to 80 MHz, field strengths
should be less than 3 V/m.
NOTE:
1. At 80 MHz and 800 MHz, the higher frequency range applies.
2. These guidelines may not apply in all situations.Electromagnetic
propagation is affected by absorption and reflection from
structures, objects and people.

The Blanketrol CoolRepeat device, Model 25-01, is intended
for use in an electromagnetic environment in which radiated
RF disturbances are controlled. The customer or the user of the
Blanketrol CoolRepeat device, Model 25-01 can help prevent
electromagnetic interference by maintaining a minimum distance
between portable and mobile RF communications equipment
