5. Delivery and unpacking
❖Before installation, ensure that there is sufficient free space for the MLK Physio
relevant to its total length.
❖In some countries, the MLK Physio is delivered in a cardboard (depending on
delivery).
5.1 Unpacking
WARNING! While unpacking, the packaging materials (polythene
bags, polystyrene pieces, etc.) should be kept away from children and
pets. CHOKING HAZARD! RISK OF INJURY!
PLEASE OBSERVE THE FOLLOWING WHEN THE MLK PHYSIO IS DELIVERED IN
A CARDBOARD:
➢Open the top of the packaging carefully. Do not use any sharp-edged items which
can damage the upholstery.
➢Do not lift the MLK Physio but remove the top packaging first. Then you can
lift and remove the outer packaging.

conditions are e.g. narrow doors, narrow corners behind doors, narrow corridors,
narrow staircases, spiral staircases etc. The weight of the MLK Physio is at least
85 kg (without options). Please note that the manoeuvrability of the MLK Physio
is thus limited.

12

relevant to its total length. Dimensions of the MLK Physio in lowest position
(L*W*H): 200*70*61 cm. You can adjust the height up to 91 cm using the lifting
motor. A lateral shift (14 cm) occurs when adjusting the height (parallelogram
principle). Always provide a minimum distance of 50 cm to any wall. Look at the
figure below:
NOTICE! When you have placed the MLK Physio in a suitable position
providing sufficient free space, remove the carrying supports
6
if necessary
and store them at a safe place for future use.
6.3 Assembly
❖The MLK Physio is easy to install and can be adapted to all human body
measurements. You can adjust the desired positions electrically in a very short
period of time and then focus entirely on your customer.

to provide the required information to the customer service.
On the cover page of this instruction manual is an empty field in
which you can enter the serial number of your treatment table. So
you have the serial number always at hand.

10. Pneumatic adjustments
❖The pneumatic adjustments of the MLK Physio (armrests / headrest) are
carried out using the appropriate gas pressure springs by means of the associated
levers; s. the following chapters.
❖The electrical adjustments of the MLK Physio are carried out using the manual
control panel (MCP); s. chapter 11. ELECTRICAL ADJUSTMENTS et seq.
❖Optionally, the electrical adjustments can be carried out using a foot control
panel; s. chapter 12. FOOT CONTROL PANEL (OPTIONAL EQUIPMENT).
10.1 Gas pressure springs
❖The armrests as well as the headrest can be adjusted pneumatically using the
appropriate gas pressure springs by means of the associated levers.
❖If you carry out any setting by means of the lever of the gas pressure spring, you
only need to operate the lever when lowering the armrests or headrest.
❖Carry out a pulling movement upwards (without operation of the respective
lever) to lift an armrest and / or the headrest again.
YOU CAN LIFT THE ARMRESTS AND / OR THE HEADREST IN TWO WAYS:
a) Pull the armrest and / or the headrest upwards carefully using your hand.

18
b) “HANDS FREE OPERATION”: You can lift the armrests as well as the headrest
without using your hands. To do this, use your arm, elbow, etc. to push against
the underside of the armrest or headrest carefully to move it upwards
10.2 Adjustment of the headrest
