1. Safety instructions
Read the safety instructions carefully before you operate the appliance for the
first time. All information included in those pages serve for the protection of the
operator. If you ignore the safety instructions, you will endanger your health and
life.
DANGER! indicates a hazardous
situation which, if ignored, will result in
death or serious injury.
WARNING! indicates a hazardous
situation which, if ignored, could result
in death or serious injury.
CAUTION! indicates a hazardous
situation which, if not avoided, may
result in minor or moderate injury.
NOTICE! indicates possible damage to
the appliance.
Store this manual in a safe place so you can use it whenever it is needed. Strictly
observe the instructions to avoid damage to persons and property.
DANGER!
1. All electrical work to connect the MLR to the mains must be carried out by a
qualified professional. Do not modify the energy supply. The connection must
be carried out in accordance with the current local and legal regulations.
2. Do not connect the MLR to the mains if the MLR itself or the power cable or
the plug are visibly damaged.
3. Never try to repair the MLR yourself. If the MLR does not operate properly,
please contact the manufacturer or the shop you purchased the appliance at.
Original spare parts should be used only.
4. When the power cable is damaged, it must be replaced by the manufacturer or
an authorized aftersales service or a qualified professional only.
WARNING!
1. Use a properly-grounded socket with proper voltage (230V AC/50 Hz) only.
The electric components must not come in contact with water. Check all cables

regularly and call the aftersales service when any cable is in improper condition.
RISK OF ELECTRIC SHOCK!
2. Do not open the housing of the manual control panel! Failure to do so will
expire the guarantee.
3. Liquids must not get into the manual control panel.
4. Never use the MLR when your patient is under the influence of alcohol or
drugs.
5. Never sit on the headrest or use excessive force. Otherwise you can damage the
supporting structure of the MLR. RISK OF TIPPING! RISK OF
BREAKAGE! RISK OF INJURY!
6. Do not place any objects between the base and the upper structure. RISK OF
COLLISION!
7. Do not use the base as a foot rest. RISK OF CRUSHING!
8. Persons/animals or body parts of persons/animals must not be positioned
between the base and the upper structure. RISK OF CRUSHING!
9. Unplug the MLR before cleaning or maintenance.
10. Never immerse the MLR or its individual components in water.
11. Check the power cord regularly. The power cord must be replaced by a qualified
professional or our aftersales service only!
12. While unpacking, the packaging materials (polythene bags, polystyrene pieces,
etc.) should be kept away from children. CHOKING HAZARD!
13. Always keep children away from the MLR.
14. Children must not play with the MLR or its single components.
15. This appliance is not intended to be operated by persons with reduced physical,
sensory and mental capabilities or lack of experience or knowledge, unless they
are supervised or instructed concerning the use of the appliance and do
understand the danger resulting thereof.
2. General information.
Dear customer!
We would like to thank you for purchasing this quality-product as well as for your
confidence. Read the complete IM before you use the MLR for the first time.
Reading the complete IM is essential for its proper and confident use and will help
you to operate the MLR to your entire satisfaction .Our MLR is very robust and
has a long operating life if it is operated properly.
Read the instructions very carefully and operate the appliance in its intended use as
described only to protect you and your customers from danger. Keep the IM handy
and near of the MLR.
WARNING!Failure to follow these instructions will endanger the operator`s
health and life and/or can damage the appliance.

3. Intended use
The Gharieni MLR WET is a versatile Spa Table which can be used for e.g.
cosmetic applications or full-body massages. The MLR is intended for indoor use
only.
The maximum load capacity of the MLR is 200 kg. The lifting capacity is 180 kg.
The MLR is equipped with two motors; all settings are operated electrically. The
manual control panel is included in delivery. You can set the height of the MLR,
the head and back rest and the inclination of the leg/footrest using the manual
control panel.
Only operate the MLR in accordance with its intended use.
4.Delivery
If delivered by a forwarding company , the MLR is delivered on a special pallet
(packaged in cardboard boxes). The MLR is in complete horizontal position and
the upholstery is installed. Open the top of the cardboard box carefully. Do not use
any sharp-edged items which can damage the upholstery. Do not lift the MLR but
remove the cardboard packaging.
5. Before initial operation
1. Check before initial operation that all components are complete and the MLR is
not visible damaged.
2. Before installation provide sufficient free space for the MLR. The required
minimum free space is 300*180 cm.
6. Rating plate
WARNING! The rating plate is on the second cross brace of the metal frame
below the lying surface of the foot section. Do not make the rating plate illegible!
Do not remove the rating plate! Failure to do so will expire the guarantee.

7. Initial operation
The MLR is ready to be operated in a few simple steps. Depending on the type of
use you can adjust the desired position electrically in a very short period of time.
The power cable has to be connected to the socket directly. Do not lead the power
cable through the round opening of the lower wooden panel.
8. Manual Control Panel
For safety reasons, the MLR moves only while pressing a key of the
MCP. When you stop pressing, all moving-operation will stop
immediately.

8.1 Head/back section
You can adjust the inclination of the head/back section electrically so the
inclination can be adapted relevant to the needs of the application you would like
to carry out.
The upholstery of the headrest has an opening for the nose usable when carrying
out back-massages (fig. 1). The cover plug of the opening is removable. Using a gel

cushion (fig. 2; optional available from Gharieni) on the headrest upholstery can
additionally support the face of the person being treated.
8.2 Leg/foot section
The inclination of this section can be adjusted electrically using the relevant key on
the MCP. The inclination covers the complete thigh area, the knee and the feet.
8.3 Height of the MLR
The height of the lying surface can be adjusted from 57 cm to 97 cm.
8.4 Inclination - Trendelenburg/Anti-Trendelenburg
The inclination of the lying surface can be adjusted up to 160to the desired
direction using the relevant keys on the MCP. The MLR will move up automatically
unless it has reached a sufficient height while adjusting the inclination to avoid
collision with the base.

9. Heater Smart Thermo
The lying surface of MLR can be heated to maximize the treatment comfort. You
can set 10 heating levels using the HCP (fig. 3). For quick heating of a cold lying
surface, after starting the heater will operate with max. power during the pre-
heating period. The parameters of the heater can be programmed and saved if
desired. Check the current temperature before using the MLR. Disconnect MLR
from the mains when it is not used for a longer period of time, e.g. during the
night.
9.1 Heater control panel
You can operate the heater using the 4 buttons ON/OFF/+/-.The setting of the
heating power is indicated by a 10-level LED bar-diagram. The green LEDs 1-4
indicate low power/low temperatures. The yellow LEDs 5-7 indicate medium
power/medium temperatures. The red LEDs 8-10 indicate high power/high
temperatures.

1. Do not use the option Smart-Thermo when your customer
has got a pacemaker.

2. Do not exceed the default values set by the manufacturer (pre-
heating period approx. 6 minutes; treatment heating-level approx
30%, 3 LEDs) when programming the heater yourself.
3. When the treatment is stopped prematurely, cancel the Smart-
Thermo function by pressing the OFF-button on the HCP to avoid
heat accumulation.
4. Disconnect the MLR from the mains when it is not used for a longer
period of time, e.g. during the night.
9.2 Heating
Switch on the heater using the ON-button on the control panel (fig. 3). The
preheating period starts on highest setting. After the pre-heating time has elapsed,
the normal treatment setting will start. You can stop the pre-heating period using
the + and - buttons and set the temperature to one of the 10 levels. Switch off the
heater using the OFF-button on the HCP.

9.3 Manufacturers setting
Default operating parameters of the heater when delivered:

9.4 Programming
The values of uninterrupted operation, the pre-heating period and the heating
power are programmable.
Use the following combination to enter the programming mode:
1. Press and hold the OFF-button.
2. Press and release the ON-button.
3. Release the OFF-button and enter the
Setting of the total operation period
You can set 10 levels from 10 to 100 minutes. The position of the single and
illuminated LED - from the left to the right - indicates the level. The
manufacturer´s setting is 60 minutes.
Example for level 6 = 60 minutes total operation (fig. 3):

Setting of the pre-heating period
Each illuminated LED indicates a pre-heating period of 3 minutes. The
manufacturer´s setting is 6 minutes. The max. pre-heating period available is 30
minutes. Do not exceed the default values set by the manufacturer.
While the heater is still warm, the pre-heating period may be shorter when the
heater is switched on again.
Press the ON-button to save your setting, then you enter the

The currently-saved value is indicated by one LED bar. The number of illuminated
LEDs indicates the set heating power in 10% steps. Manufacturer`s setting is 30%.
Set the desired value by pressing the +and -buttons. Save your setting by pressing
the ON-button.
The programming of the heater is complete.
You can finish the programming of the heater by pressing the OFF-
button at any point of time.
10 Cleaning
1. Clean the housing using a damp cloth or sponge and a small amount of soap
only.
2. The standard upholstery surface of the MLR is made of synthetic leather or PU
(polyurethane). We recommend the use of suitable protective covers to keep the
lying surface in good condition.

4. Clean the upholstery using a small amount of water and soap.
5. You can clean synthetic leather using or special detergent (article number
79444).
6. If the upholstery of your MLR is customized, we strongly recommend to call
our aftersales service for further information before cleaning the upholstery.
11. Maintenance
We are responsible for safety and reliability of the MLR under the following
conditions only:
1. Repairs and modifications must be carried out by Gharieni Group GmbH or a
person authorized by Gharieni Group GmbH.
2. The electrical installation of the room the MLR is installed in must meet the
current legal regulations (corresponding to German VDE 0100 or 0107) at the
site where the MLR is operated.
3. The MLR is operated as described in the instruction manual.
Unauthorized modifications or manipulating the MLR will void the liability of the
manufacturer.
12. Guarantee
The Gharieni Group GmbH grants a guarantee of 2 years for all new couches.
1. The guarantee does not include parts subject to wear (e.g. bulbs, UV-tubes,
consumables, etc.).
2. The guarantee does not include any kind of damage caused by improper use,
non-compliance with the instructions of the instruction manual and/or gross
negligence.
3. The guarantee also expires:
a. when labels (e.g. the rating plate, warning signs etc.) have been removed.
b. when equipment or components of it were opened unless the opening was
explicitly permitted in the instruction manual (e.g. for cleaning the
equipment).

13. Waste management
Do not dispose of the MLR together with your domestic waste. Old
and unused appliances must be send for disposal to the responsible
recycling centre for electric appliances. Do not remove the relevant
symbol from the product.
The MLR is made of metal and plastic components, electronic
components, electric cables. Dispose of the separate components in
accordance with the current local disposal regulations. For further
