❖You can pull out the lower part of the leg section (footrest) to increase its length.
Furthermore, you can remove the lower part, so you can work on the heel area
(pedicure). This setting is also suitable when you want to carry out massages
without using additional tools (lowered foot position).
10. Adjustments of the SPL med
❖The electrical adjustments of the SPL med 4 and SPL med 5 are carried out
using the relevant manual control panel (MCP).
The actuators of the SPL med are equipped with the SPLINE - FUNCTION. The
SPLINE - FUNCTION causes the actuators to run the lifting movement only, the
lowering movement is performed by dead weight.
WARNING! The SPLINE - FUNCTION does not protect from injuries. It is
essential that no parts of the body or items are below or between the parts
of the SPL med while adjusting the lying position. RISK OF CRUSHING!
For safety reasons, the SPL med moves only while pressing a
button of the MCP. When you stop pressing, all moving-operation
will stop immediately.
10.1 Manual control panel (MCP)
❖The manual control panel (MCP) is a wired control operating with low voltage
(24 V). The electrically-controllable functions are controlled via the MCP.
❖You can control each of the 4 or 5 actuators (depending on model) individually
by simply pressing the relevant button(s) (level 1, standard mode, black lettering).
❖Furthermore, you can save and set max. 8 memory positions (level 2, shift mode,
grey lettering).
❖The manual control panel has 12 buttons; the upper 8 buttons (SPL med 4) or
the upper 10 buttons (SPL med 5) of the relevant MCP are defined for both
levels: i.e. for level 1 functions as well as level 2 functions.
How to save specific lying positions is described in section MEMORY FUNCTIONS
OF THE MCP (s. chapter 10.1.5: SPL med 4 or chapter 10.1.6: SPL med 5).
