3.Placecomponentsona groundedantistaticpador on thebagthatcamewiththe
componentswheneverthecomponentsareseparatedfromthesystem.
Thecardcontainssensitiveelectriccomponents,whichcanbeeasilydamagedbystatic
electricity,sothecardshouldbeleft in itsoriginalpackinguntilitisinstalled.
Unpackingandinstallationshouldbedoneona groundedanti-staticmat.Theoperator
shouldbewearingananti-staticwristband,groundedatthesamepointastheanti-static
mat
Inspectthecardcartonforobviousdamage.Shippingandhandlingmaycausedamage
toyourcard.Besuretherearenoshippingandhandlingdamagesonthecardbefore
proceeding.

2.2.HardwareInstallation
Nowthatyouhavepreparedyourcomputer,youarereadytoinstallyourgraphicscard.
Step1.
LocatethePCIExpressx16slot.Ifnecessary,removethe
metalcoverfromthisslot;thenalignyourgraphicscardwith
thePCIExpressx16slot,andpressitinfirmlyuntilthecardis
fullyseated.
Makesurethatthegoldedgeconnectorofthegraphicscardissecurely
noiir-'inserted.
Step2.
Replacethescrewtofastenthecardinplace,andreplacethe
computercover.

CAUTION
Afterinstallation,remembertoconnectthepowercabletoyourgraphics
card,orthesystemwillnotboot.Donottouchthecardwhenit'soperating
topreventsysteminstability.
Step3.
Plugthedisplaycableintoyourcard;thenturnonthecomputer
andmonitor.Toconnecta D-Submonitortoyourgraphicscard,
usetheD-Subconnector.Toconnecta flatpaneldisplaytoyour
graphicscard,usetheDVI-Iconnector.ToconnectanHDMI
monitortoyourgraphicscard,usetheHDMIconnector.

1.FirstmakesureyoursystemhasinstalledDirectX9 orlaterversion.
2.Makesureyoursystemhasinstalledtheappropriatemotherboarddrivers(forthemotherboard
drivers,pleasecontactthemotherboardmanufacturer.)

Afterinstallingtheoperatingsystem,insertthedriverdiskintoyouropticaldrive.ThedriverAutorun
screenisautomaticallydisplayedwhichlookslikethatshowninthescreenshotbelow.(Ifthedriver
Autorunscreendoesnotappearautomatically,gotoMyComputer,double-clicktheopticaldriveand
executethesetup.exeprogram.)
