Assembling your Candy Floss maker
Before using the machine for the rst time, you should clean it
thoroughly. To do so, follow the instructions in the section
‘Cleaning’.

1. Place the bowl on the body and turn it clockwise so that it ts securely.
See Fig. 1
2. Fit the carameliser onto the drive spindle. Make sure that the carameliser is
correctly positioned on the pins of the drive spindle as shown in the illustration.
The carameliser is correctly tted when there is a gap of 5 to 8 mm between the
carameliser and the metal housing. See Fig. 2
3. Place the splashguard onto the bowl. See Fig. 3
ENSURE THAT ALL THE HOOKS ON THE SPLASHGUARD HAVE SNAPPED
INTO POSITION ON THE BOWL.

1. Place the machine on a smooth, level surface. Make sure the suction feet are
holding the machine securely in place.
2. Plug the machine in.
3. Switch the machine on (set switch to 1) and wait for about 3 minutes for the
carameliser to heat up to the correct temperature.
4. Switch the machine off (set switch to 0) and wait for the carameliser to stop.
5. Pour one level scoop of caster sugar into the hole at the centre of the carameliser.
6. Switch the machine back on (set switch to 1).
7. Move a wooden stick in clockwise movement around the carameliser, twisting it
with your ngers so that candy oss is evenly distributed on the wooden stick.
8. Once the rst layer of candy oss is in place on the stick, hold it horizontally over
the machine. Keep twisting the wooden stick with your ngers.
9. When the machine stops producing candy oss, the portion of sugar has been
used up and your rst stick of candy oss is ready. Switch the machine off and
wait for the carameliser to stop before you pour in the next portion of sugar.
10. Carefully clean the machine after use as described in the ‘Cleaning your machine’
section.
Should you need new wooden sticks- you can use normal wooden kebab skewers
that are widely available in the shops.
Making your Candy Floss
Candy Floss consists of caramelised strands of sugar. The candy
oss machine melts the sugar. As the carameliser rotates, liquid
sugar spins out and cools in the air to produce delicious
candy oss.

Cleaning your machine
Before using the machine for the rst time, you should
clean it thoroughly.
1. Lift up and remove the
splashguard.
2. Pull the carameliser up and off.
3. Turn the bowl anticlockwise until
you can lift it up and off.
• The bowl, splashguard and measuring scoop can be cleaned in the dishwasher.
• Clean the carameliser in warm water. Leave it to soak in a solution of warm
water (60oC) and washing up liquid for 20 minutes if you need to remove stubborn
sugar incrustations.
• Carefully wipe the machine body with a damp sponge. Make sure that no water
gets inside! If water does get inside the body, let it dry completely before you use
the machine again.

Fault Remedy
IMPORTANT SAFETY PRECAUTIONS
• Only use caster sugar.
• The candy oss machine is designed for making domestic quantities of candy oss
and is not suitable for commercial purposes.
• To protect against electric shock, do not immerse the main unit, cord or plug,
in water or other liquid. The drip tray is removable and can be immersed in water.
• The appliance is not intended for use by young children or inrm persons, without
supervision. Young children must be supervised to ensure they do not play with the
appliance.
• Unplug from power supply when not in use and before cleaning. Allow to cool before
putting on or taking off parts and before cleaning.
• Do not operate the appliance if the cord or plug appears to be damaged or if the
appliance malfunctions or has been damaged in any way.
• It is not recommended to use this appliance with an extension cord or power board.
Please ensure that the appliance is plugged directly into the electrical outlet.
• Do not use outdoors.
• Do not let cord hang over edge of table or counter, or come in contact with hot
surfaces.
• Do not place on or near a hot gas or electric burner or in a heated oven.
• Do not leave grill near or below curtains and other combustible materials.
• Do not clean with metal scouring pads.
• In order to comply with safety regulations and
to avoid hazards, repairs of electrical appliances
must be carried out by qualied personnel,
including the replacement of the power cord.
