LIMITED WARRANTY
• Subject to the term and condition of thi Limited Warranty a herein tated, all Gile Enterpri e , Inc.,
Food ervice Equipment and part purcha ed new from an authorized Gile Enterpri e , Inc., repre entative are
warranted a to defect in material or workman hip for a period of 24 month from the date of in tallation, pro-
vided, however, that with regard to labor co t in
connection with thi warranty, ee below. All in tallation mu t be made by a qualified in talling agency in
accordance with all applicable code and/or regulation in the juri diction in which in talled. Limited warranty
coverage i extended to the original owner only and i void if the unit i re old.
• During the Limited Warranty period, Gile Enterpri e , Inc. will replace or recondition, at it
factory, any part or part of thi unit which Gile Enterpri e , Inc. in pector judge defective, provided the unit
ha been ubjected to normal u age, properly in talled, operated and erviced. Thi Limited Warranty doe not
cover co metic damage, and damage due to act of God, accident, mi u e,
alteration, negligence, abu e of the Gile Food ervice Equipment or the u e of unorthodox repair method . All
part replaced under thi Limited Warranty carry only the unexpired term of thi Limited Warranty. Limited
Warranty ervice may be furni hed only by an authorized Gile Enterpri e , Inc., repre entative.
• If Limited Warranty ervice i reque ted, Gile Enterpri e , Inc., will end factory-authorized
ervice repre entative to repair, recondition, replace or in pect unit of it manufacture with uch labor being
rendered without co t to owner for 24 month from the date of in tallation. Otherwi e, ervice, including labor
and tran portation charge or other expen e , in connection with the removal or in tallation of any part or
part upplied under thi Limited Warranty, are pecified on the original ale contract between the purcha er
and the authorized Gile Enterpri e , Inc.,
repre entative.
• Failure to use Giles OEM replacement Parts and Filters may void the factory warranty.
• Gile Enterpri e , Inc. re erve the right to change or improve it equipment and part in any way without
obligation to alter uch equipment or part previou ly manufactured.
• Gile Enterpri e , Inc. make no further warrantie , expre or implied including implied warrantie of mer-
chantability or fitne for a particular purpo e, and ha no other obligation or liability not pecifically tated
herein.
• Repair or replacement a provided under thi limited warranty i the exclu ive remedy. Gile Enterpri e ,
Inc., hall not be liable for any incidental or con equential damage for breach of any expre or implied warran-

- all electrical specificati ns and c des are met.
- wiring and circuit breakers are f sufficient rating and gauge t p wer the unit.
• Fryers must be adequately and pr perly gr unded. Impr per gr unding may result in electrical sh ck t the user. Always
refer t l cal electrical c de t ensure pr per gr unding f this r any ther electrical equipment. A wiring diagram has
been pr vided with each unit.

• Pri r t sale, r c nsumpti n, c ked f d items must be maintained at a minimum temperature f 150°F (65.5°C), r in
acc rdance with prevailing g vernmental health regulati ns.
• Giles electric Fryers are available fr m the fact ry wired f r vari us v ltages and phases. Check the rating label n the rear
panels the fryer units t determine c rrect p wer supply. NOTE: Each fryer unit requires a separate p wer supply.
• Ensure the unit is p siti ned in a secure, stable l cati n. Place caster brakes in the l cked p siti n. S me c mmercial
c des may require that the unit be secured t an imm vable structure with a restraining cable t restrict m vement.
• Due t the high temperature f frying sh rtening during c king, t av id pers nal injury it is extremely imp rtant that
users exercise cauti n when perating, r w rking in the vicinity f this equipment.
• Be careful n t t puncture the filter media used in the Filter Pan. D ing s c uld result in cl gging and damage t the Filter
Pump.
• All w the unit t c l d wn a minimum f 15 minutes bef re cleaning r servicing.

Thank you for purchasing new Giles equi ment, model EOF-BIB/FFLT/24/24, manufactured by Giles Foodservice
Equi ment; Montgomery, Alabama (USA), hereafter referred to as "Giles". This model is a multi- ur ose, high-
ca acity, electric Fryer, featuring two (2) 24” frying vats, one (1) 20” Boil-in-Bag (BIB) water vat for rethermalizing
ouches of frozen food, and a built-in Dum Station. Every unit is thoroughly ins ected and tested rior to shi -
ment, and with ro er care and maintenance, will rovide years of trouble-free service.
To hel rotect your investment in this state-of-the-art cooking equi ment, we recommend taking a few moments
to become familiar with the rocedures in this Manual, ertaining to installation, o eration, cleaning and mainte-
nance. Adhering to these recommended rocedures minimizes otential for costly downtime and equi ment
re airs. Please retain this Manual for future reference.

Micro-Processor Cooking Contro er: Controls cooking oil tem erature and cooking time. Two inde endent basket

Oi Fi tration System: Built-in oil filtering system servives all fry vats; can extend the life of cooking oil by as much as
50%.

Installation
2. Installation
This section summarizes the procedures necessary for proper installation of the new unit. To prevent personal injury or
equipment damage, please ensure the following steps are ta en.
It is recommended that this equipment be installed by professional commercial kitchen equipment specialists.
2-01. Location
DO NOT ALTER, ADD ATTACHMENTS, OR OTHERWISE MODIFY THIS EQUIPMENT.

1. Keep the appliance and surrounding area free and clear from combustible materials, 3" (7.6cm)
2. Please note, a wiring diagrams for each Fryer unit is attached to the rear panel. Ensure that it matches the
electrical specifications stated on the rating label.
3. Please ensure this appliance is electrically grounded in accordance with local codes, or in the absence of local
codes, with the current National Electrical Code, ANSI/NFPA 70.
4. Please provide adequate room for servicing and proper operation of this appliance. Also, provide
adequate ventilation in the operating area as required.
5. Consult with a certified electrician, or other qualified technician, prior to installing this equipment.
6. Ensure the electrical circuits supplying power to the unit meet the specifications shown on the Fryer unit’s
rating label. Each unit of the ban ed system requires a separate power supply.
7. Ma e sure the unit is located on a level floor, in a stable position, and cannot be unintentionally moved.
Loc ing casters are installed along the front of the unit ... place the caster bra es in the loc ed position. Some
commercial codes may require that the unit be secured to an immovable structure (wall, etc.) by means of a
restraining cable to restrict movement.
8. Appliance is to be installed, used and maintained in accordance with the current Standard for Ventilation
Control, and Fire Protection of Commercial Cooking Operations, NFPA 96.
Compliance with the above steps will help to ensure safe and proper installation of this equipment. If there are any

1. Carefully cut and remove the plastic shipping wrap and any strapping.
2. Using appropriate tools, carefully remove the wooden framewor from around the unit.
3. Using appropriate handling equipment and wor practices, carefully remove the fryer from the shipping
platform. The unit is extremely heavy, the uncrated weight for the EOF-BIB/FFLT/24/24 is in excess of 890 lbs
(404 g). Only use mechanical lifting equipment such as a for lift to lift the unit from s id, see Section 2-03.
4. Remove all the auxillary items (Filter Pan, Bas ets, Screens, Brushes & Tools) from the unit and set aside in a
safe place.
2-02. Unpacking
NOTE:
If crate exhibited obvious signs of damage when received, the unit and other contents of the shipment should
have been immediately inspected. If damaged, the shipment should have been refused and the freight carrier
immediately notified of the damages. Typically, it is purchaser’s responsibility to negotiate freight damage
claims.
The unit will arrive on a shipping s id, enclosed by a wooden framewor . It is secured to the wooden platform by
means of high-tensile strength strapping and the entire s id is wrapped in machine-applied stretch wrap. Certain
auxillary items (Filter Pan, bas ets, fryer tools, etc.) will be pac ed on top of the unit or contained inside the vats.
•Exercise care when lifting or moving the unit. Appropriate lifting equipment will be required to remove the
unit from the shipping skid. DO NOT attempt to manually lift the unit, it is extremely heavy.
•Exercise care when removing the wooden crate from around the unit.
•Failure to comply with these CAUTION notices may result in minor to moderate in ury, equipment or property
damage, and void the factory warranty.

2-03. Shipping Bars
Reinforcement bars are attached to the framewor , at the front and rear of the Fryer ban . These bars are provided
as a stabilizing reinforcement for removing the unit from the s id, and during installation process. Please note the
following:
1. The bars must remain in place until the fryer is positioned in the designated final position.
2. Preferred method of removing unit from s id:
Using a motorized for lift truc with for extensions, approach the unit from either end. Carefully lift unit until
it is fully clear of the shipping s id risers. Have helpers pull s id from under the unit. Carefully lower unit to the
floor and bac for lift away. Unit can be easily rolled into a desired location.
Caution must be used when lifting the Fryer bank to be sure that piping, or components on the underside of
unit, is not contacted by the forks, or damaged when lifting.
!CAUTION
3. After the Fryer ban is located in its final position, remove the front reinforcement bar. IMPORTANT! Bar must
be removed to allow installation of the Fryer Filter Pan.
4. The rear reinforcement bar can remain in place and will not affect fryer operation.
5. Remove the front bar by removing all the screws fastening the bar to the unit frame. Note that the bar is
fastened to the fryer at all vertical uprights.
6. It is advisable to retain the bar and all the mount hardware. In the event that the unit is moved to a different
location in the future, the reinforcement bar should be reinstalled prior to moving it.
7. After the front bar is removed, follow the instructions provided in this Manual for the remaining installation and
operation of the equipment.
NOTE:
Giles shall not be liable for damages to a unit caused by the improper use of forklifts or other handling
equipment, or by premature removal of the reinforcing bars. The bars must remain in place until the fryer has
been located in the designated final operating position. Failure to follow these instructions could void the
factory warranty.
Giles shall not be liable for in uries incurred during installation of this equipment. Installation of this
equipment is the sole responsibility of the purchaser. It is advisable to engage professional, commercial
kitchen equipment specialists to perform installation of this equipment.
