SPECIFICATIONS
This appliance is equipped with a polarized plug in which one prong is
wider than the other. This is a safety feature to reduce the risk of electrical
shock. The plug will t into a polarized outlet only one way. If you are
unable to insert the plug into the outlet, try reversing the plug. If it sll
does not t, contact a qualied electrician. Do not aempt to modify the
plug in any way. Ginny’s cannot accept any liability for damage or
injury resulng from failure to observe these safety procedures.

Ne: Your electric knife sharpener will sharpen knives of alloy,
carbon steel, or stainless steel. Do not aempt to sharpen
scissors, serrated knives, or any blade that does not t
freely in the blade guides.
WARNING: Never insert the p of the knife into the blade guide rst and
push through. This could damage the knife sharpener and
your knife.
STAGE 1 – COARSE GRINDING: begin sharpening and create a precision
angled edge (see gure on page 7).
1. Hold the knife parallel to the table or counter top, except when
sharpening the p of the blade.
2. To sharpen the p, li up on the knife handle slightly as the curved
poron of the blade is drawn through the blade guides.
3. When drawing the knife through the blade guides, allow approximately
one second for each two inches of blade. For example, if sharpening a
knife with a 6” blade, you should take approximately three seconds for
each pass.
4. Slowly draw the knife toward you through each guide slot in stage 1 three
mes, alternang passes between the two slots.
STAGE 2 – FINE HONING: complete the knife sharpening process by
honing and polishing the knife to an exact razor-sharp edge.

approximately three or more seconds, again depending on the blade
length.

Ne: If knife does not slice food with ease, repeat stage 1 and 2.
2. Complete the honing process with one quick pass (approximately one
second) through both slots of Stage 2.
3. Before using the sharpened knife to slice food, always wash the knife
blade with warm, soapy water and wipe with a so cloth.
CLEANING & CARE
1. The outside surface of the knife sharpener may be cleaned with a damp
cloth. Do not use abrasive pads or cleaners.
2. Your knife sharpener has two receptacle plugs on the boom of the unit
for collecng metal lings from your knives. Aer each use, empty the
receptacles by removing the plasc plugs and shake out the metal lings.
3. NEVER IMMERSE THE KNIFE SHARPENER IN WATER OR ANY OTHER
LIQUIDS.

WARRANTY
Ginny’s warrants this product free from defects in material and
workmanship for one year from provable date of purchase.
Within this warranty period, Ginny’s will repair or replace, at its opon,
defecve parts at no charge, provided the product is returned, freight
prepaid with proof of purchase to Ginny’s. Allow 2-4 weeks for return
shipping.
This warranty does not cover improper installaon, misuse, abuse or neglect
on part of the owner. Warranty is also invalid in any case that the product is
taken apart or serviced by an unauthorized service staon.
This warranty gives you specic legal rights and they may vary from
state to state.
