ELECTRICAL SAFETY
SPECIFICATIONS
This appliance is equipped with a polarized plug in which 1 prong is wider
than the other. This is a safety feature to reduce the risk of electrical shock.
The plug should be aached to the appliance before connecng to an
electrical outlet. The plug will t into a polarized outlet only 1 way. If you
are unable to insert the plug into the outlet, try reversing the plug. If it sll
does not t, contact a qualied electrician. DO NOT aempt to modify the
plug in any way. Ginny’s cannot accept any liability for damage or injury
resulng from failure to observe these safety procedures.

HOW TO OPERATE

Nes:
• Before making coee, use the coee maker once with water only
(without a lter). Dispose of water when nished.
• Only use cold water in the coee maker.
• Switch o the coee maker and let it cool down for about 5
minutes between brewings.
TO PREPARE COFFEE
1. Open the lter basket door and rmly put a standard #4 cone paper
lter in place. Add the desired amount of coee (about 3 level Tbsp. for
8 cups of coee—add more or less to achieve desired taste). Close the
lter basket door.
2. Fill the carafe to the 8-cup line with cold water.
3. Open the reservoir lid and pour the water into the coee maker reservoir.
4. Close the reservoir lid and put the carafe in place on the base.
5. Switch the coee maker ON. The indicator light will come on and the
coee will begin to brew.
6. This coee maker has an an-drip valve; while the coee is brewing,
you can remove the carafe to pour a cup. Dripping will stop when the
carafe is removed and start again aer the carafe is returned to posion.
To prevent overow from the lter, return the carafe to posion within
20 seconds.
7. Aer brewing, the coee maker will turn o automacally in 2 hours.
8. Turn OFF and unplug the coee maker when nished brewing coee.

1. Turn o and unplug the coee maker.
2. Always allow the appliance and carafe to cool completely before cleaning.
3. Remove and dispose of the coee lter with used coee grounds.
4. DO NOT use abrasive brushes or pads, or harsh cleaning soluons.
5. Wipe the exterior of the base with a damp cloth.
6. Wash the carafe with warm, soapy water and a so brush. DO NOT clean
the carafe in a dishwasher.
7. DO NOT IMMERSE ANY CORD, PLUG OR ELECTRICAL APPLIANCE INTO
WATER.
8. Descaling may be necessary occasionally, depending on the hardness of
your tap water. If the me it takes to brew a pot of coee suddenly is
increased, it is me to descale.
a. Fill the carafe half full with white vinegar, pour into the reservoir
and run a brewing cycle.
b. When done, turn the coee maker o and let it cool completely.
Dispose of used vinegar.
c. Run a second brewing cycle with a full carafe of water. Dispose of
water.
9. Ensure all parts are dried thoroughly before reassembling and using
this appliance.

WARRANTY
Ginny’s warrants this product free from defects in material and
workmanship for one year from provable date of purchase.
Within this warranty period, Ginny’s will repair or replace, at its opon,
defecve parts at no charge provided the product is returned
freight prepaid with proof of purchase to Ginny’s.
Allow 2–4 weeks for return shipping.
This warranty does not cover improper installaon, misuse, abuse or neglect
on part of the owner. Warranty is also invalid in any case that the product is
taken apart or serviced by an unauthorized service staon.
This warranty gives you specic legal rights and they may vary from
state to state.
