This is how to adjust CORPO to the anatomy of your body by
using the synchronous mechanism.
Seat height
Use the lever behind the crossbeam
on the right of the seat (from the
seated perspective) to adjust the
seat’s height: Pull the lever up, then
let it go as soon as the seat reaches
the right height.
Seat depth
The sliding seat can be pushed
forward or backward after the twist
grip under the back of the seat has
been loosened.

Weight adjustment
The twist grip under the front of
the seat can be used to adjust
the chair’s tension. This allows you
to adapt the backrest support to
exactly suit the weight of your
body. Turn the grip clockwise and
the supportive pressure will be
increased. Turn it in the opposite
direction and the pressure will be
reduced.
Synchronized dynamic sitting
The lever under the front left side of
the seat allows you to choose
between synchronous movement of
the chair, or fixing the seat and
backrest in their foremost position.
If you draw the lever back and
lean against the backrest, then
CORPO will follow your movements
synchronously. If you push the lever
forward, CORPO will lock into
position.

Armrests
CORPO offers a choice of fixed
or height-adjustable armrests. The
armrest height can be adjusted by
pressing the push-button which is
located under the armrest cap. It is
also possible to adjust the angle of
the armrest cap by ±30°. Equipping
the chair with armrests at a later
date is not a problem.

Find your ideal sitting position.
The height of your seat is correct
when your legs form an angle of
90° at the knees, with thighs and
feet horizontally positioned. Make
sure that there is no pressure on
the underside of your thighs (blood
congestion!). Your work surface is
at the right height when your arms
also form an angle of approximately
90° at the elbows, and your fore-
arms rest in a horizontal position on
top of the desk.
The proper care for your CORPO
All of CORPO’s mechanical and
movable parts, as well as all alu-
minium or dyed-through plastic
parts, are maintenance-free. The
upholstery can be cleaned with a
soft brush and a normal fabric
cleaning agent. Napa leather should
be washed occasionally with well-
diluted soapy water and wiped off
with clear water afterwards. Allow
to dry, then polish with a woollen
cloth. Do not use a cleaning agent!
The aluminium parts can be cleaned
with a fine, damp microfiber cloth. If
the chair is on a carpet, you should
periodically remove the carpet fluff
which can accumulate around the
castors.

A word on safety
CORPO’s construction is based on
international safety standards and
requirements, as well as on years of
Girsberger expertise in office seat-
ing techniques. All of the chair’s
plastic parts are resistant to impact,
scratches and chipping. CORPO is
designed to be used as an office
chair for one person. If the chair is
put to any other use, Girsberger will
not accept liability. Children should
not be allowed to play unsupervised
in the vicinity of CORPO. The pneu-
matic spring unit should not be ex-
posed to heat or opened by force.
Work on or replacement of the
pneumatic springs may only be
done by trained specialists.
The standard model comes with
castors for carpeted floors. Soft
castors for hard floors can be recog-
nized by the coloured ring on the
outside rim.
