1. Never turn the dispenser upside down or tilt more than
45 degrees. If the unit has been resting on its side for an
extended period of time, place the water dispenser in the
upright position for approximately 12 hours before turning
it on.
2. For use with 3 or 5 gallon (11.3 or 19 liter) water bottles and
most water ltration systems.
3. Never use this dispenser with water that is unsafe to drink
or is from an unknown source.
4. Never use any other liquid in the dispenser other than
known and microbiologically safe bottled water.
5. This water dispenser is equipped with a grounded power
cord plug for your safety.
6. Keep your water dispenser in a dry place away from direct
sunlight.
7. Leave a minimum of 2 in. (5 cm) around the back and sides
of the dispenser for proper ventilation.
8. Always install your water dispenser on a level oor. Wait
3 minutes before restarting the machine after shutting it
down.
9. Always unplug the water dispenser before servicing or
cleaning it.
10. Regular cleaning of your water dispenser is required for your
warranty. Please follow the cleaning instructions outlined in

conditions for one (1) year from the original date of purchase. This warranty applies only in the country in which it is sold and is available to the

This warranty and the CSA International listing for this water dispenser are void if the water dispenser is altered, modied, or combined with
any other machine or device. Alteration of this water dispenser may cause serious ooding and/or hazardous electrical shock or re.

INITIAL PRODUCT CLEANING PROCEDURE
The dispenser must be cleaned before the rst use. To maintain a hygienic
environment within your water dispenser and prevent potential formation
(growth) of bacteria, we strongly recommend regular cleaning (i.e. every
4 months). A cleaning kit can be ordered online at www.homedepot.com.
□Unplug the unit.
□Remove the bottle support collar (A), saturate a clean cloth with a water
dispenser cleaner (not included) or vinegar, and wipe the inside of the
reservoir.
□Pour the water dispenser cleaner, or a mixture of 4 cups (1 L) of vinegar
with 4 cups (1 L) of hot water, into the reservoir and wait 20 minutes.
□Press both dispensing buttons (D and E) until water no longer comes
out.
□Using a bucket, drain the reservoirs from the drain valve (H) on the back
of the unit.
□Rinse again with clean water, re-install the drain valve plug, and cover.
□Place the bottle support collar (A) back on top of the the dispenser.
IMPORTANT: To avoid water overow while cleaning the dispenser,
always remove the bottle support collar (A) before pouring water or
cleaning solution into the reservoir.
IMPORTANT: Always wash your hands prior to installing the water
bottle! Clean the top (neck) of the bottle with a clean cloth, and do not
touch the part of the unit that the water touches. Unplug the unit. The
water bottle can be purchased from your local retailer.
INSTALLING THE WATER BOTTLE
□Remove the protective cap from the end of the water bottle, unless the
bottle has a puncturable cap or sticker.
□Lift and turn the bottle upside down, placing it securely on the bottle
support collar (A).
□Press and hold both dispenser buttons (D and E) until water ows from
the dispenser. Drain about 4 cups (1 L) of water before initial use. This
does not need to be repeated with replacement bottles.
□Plug in the water dispenser.
□Switch on the hot water power switch (B) on the rear of the dispenser.

ANTI-LEAK BOTTLE SUPPORT COLLAR
The bottle support collar (A) on your water dispenser is engineered with a
special anti-leak system to prevent accidental loss of water, (ooding) as a
result of inadvertently installing a defective water bottle. Unfortunately, not all
water bottles are created equal. Almost all 3 and 5 gallon (11.3 and
18.9 L) water bottles are recycled and handled extensively during cleaning,
lling, and shipping. As a result, they are very prone to developing hairline
fractures and pinhole leaks that are not always obvious to the end user until
the time of installation.
If you are experiencing a leak, this simple test will allow you to determine
whether your water bottle or dispenser is the source of the problem.
□Unplug the unit and remove the water bottle.
□Remove the bottle support collar (A), and check the water level inside
the reservoir. It should be roughly three-quarters full.
□Add or drain a few glasses of water to achieve the required ll level.
□Closely monitor the water level inside the reservoir (1-2 hours). If the
water level drops, immediately drain the remaining water from the unit
and call customer service at 1-877-527-0313. If the water level remains
constant, it is the water bottle and not the dispenser that is leaking.
Please contact your water supplier for a replacement bottle.
IMPORTANT: Never knowingly install a defective water bottle on a
water dispenser. Return immediately for replacement.

IMPORTANT: Drain approximately 4 glasses of water from each tap before initial use. This does not need to be done with replacement
bottles.

Dispensing cold water
□Place a glass under the spigot.
□Press the cold water dispensing button (E) until the desired amount
of water is dispensed.
□When the blue LED light (L) illuminates, the cold water has reached
optimum temperature (compressor is off).
□When the blue LED light (L) is off, the cooling cycle is active (compressor
is on).

Dispensing hot water
To prevent hot water from being dispensed accidentally and possibly harming
a child, the hot water dispensing button can only be operated when the child
resistant safety feature is activated.
□Place a glass under the spigot.
□While holding down the red child safety lock (C), press the hot water
button (D) until the desired amount of water is dispensed.
□Release the hot water dispensing button, and the child safety lock (C)
will re-engage (locks) automatically.
□When the red LED light (L) illuminates, the hot water has reached
optimum temperature (heater is off).
□When the red LED light (L) is off, the hot water heating cycle is active
(heater is on).

WARNING: The hot water is heated to approximately 194˚F / 90˚C. Temperatures above 125˚F / 52˚C can cause severe burns from scalding.
DO NOT ALLOW CHILDREN TO USE THE HOT WATER DISPENSING BUTTON WITHOUT PROPER AND DIRECT SUPERVISION.

Adjusting the cold water temperature
□By turning the thermostat (G) at the back of the unit, the temperature can
be adjusted. Turn the dial clockwise between the Min. (cool) and Max.
(colder) levels until the desired temperature is reached.
NOTE: If the water dispenser is not dispensing water, there could
be a possible ice buildup due to the thermostat being set too cold. If
this happens, unplug the dispenser overnight, and then reset. Set the
thermostat to Min., slowly increasing based on your use and need for
cold water.

Like most appliances, your water dispenser requires periodic maintenance for maximum efciency and performance, and must be cleaned
on a regular basis (i.e. every 4 months). To maintain a hygienic environment within your water dispenser and prevent potential formation
(growth) of bacteria, we strongly recommend regular cleaning. A cleaning kit is available through our Customer Service Department at

CLEANING THE OUTSIDE OF THE WATER DISPENSER
The outside of the dispenser can be wiped clean with a mild soap and water mixture. Never use harsh chemicals or abrasive cleaners. Rinse
thoroughly with clean water, and then dry the surfaces.
CLEANING THE DRIP TRAY
To remove, take the grill (1) off the removable drip tray (F) and rmly lift the tray up,
dislodging it from the guides. Drain and clean. The removable drip tray (F) should be
emptied and cleaned regularly to remove spotting and any mineral deposits. Clean
with a water dispenser cleaning solution (not included) or a mild soap and water
mixture. For tough deposits, add vinegar and let it soak until the deposits come
loose. Then wash, rinse, and dry thoroughly. To replace, put the grill (1) back on
the removable drip tray (F), and slide the tray onto the guides (not dishwasher safe).
CLEANING THE CONDENSER
Vacuum or sweep away the dust from the condenser coils at the back of the dispenser. For best results, you can purchase a brush designed
specically for this purpose from your local appliance store. This will improve cooling and efciency.
DRAINING THE RESERVOIRS
Drain the reservoirs before and after cleaning, when going on long vacations, or if not using the dispenser for long periods of time.
□Remove the water bottle.
□Press both dispensing buttons until water no longer comes out.
□Place a bucket beneath the drain valve on the back of the dispenser.
□Remove the cap and plug from the drain valve, and let the water ow into the bucket. Replace the cap and plug. (A screwdriver or coin
can be used to help loosen the drain cap.)
□
□Replace the water bottle (see “Installing the Water Bottle”).
WARNING: Unplug the dispenser before performing any of the following cleaning procedures.

CLEANING THE INSIDE OF THE DISPENSER
To prevent mineral deposits that can affect the taste and ow of the water, and to ensure proper product performance, clean your water
dispenser every 4 months.
□Unplug the power cord and switch off the heating power switch (B) at the rear of the unit.
□Remove the water bottle and bottle support collar (A).
□Drain the reservoirs (see “Draining the Reservoirs”).
□Pour a water dispenser cleaner (not included) or a mixture 4 cups (1 L) of vinegar with 4 cups (1 L) of hot water into the reservoir and
wait 20 minutes. If using a water dispenser cleaning solution, please follow the manufacturer’s instructions.
□Press both dispensing buttons (D and E) until water no longer comes out.
□Drain the reservoirs.
□Rinse with clean water.
□Replace the bottle support collar (A) and the water bottle (see “Installing the Water Bottle”).
GOING AWAY ON VACATION
When not using the dispenser for long periods of time or when going on vacation, conserve energy by unplugging the dispenser and draining
the reservoirs (see “Draining the Reservoirs”). Upon return, follow the initial product cleaning procedures before using the dispenser.
IMPORTANT: To avoid water overow while cleaning the dispenser, always remove the bottle support collar (A) before pouring water or
cleaning solution into the reservoir.
IMPORTANT: Collect the water into a container, not the drip tray.

The water dispenser
is leaking. The drain cap and silicone seal are not secure. Ensure the seal is secure in the drain plug, and tighten the drain cap.
Water was poured directly into the bottle support collar
and overowed. Drain by pressing the dispenser buttons.
The water is not hot or
cold enough. All the water in the tank has been used. Replace the empty bottle with a full one, and wait
approximately 1 hour for the water to cool /
15 minutes for the water to heat.
The unit is unplugged. Plug the unit into the outlet.
The hot water power switch is not activated. Activate the power ON/OFF switch.
The circuit breaker in your home is tripped, or the fuse
has blown. Reset the breaker, or replace the fuse.
The temperature limit tripped.
Allow the temperature of the hot water tank to cool
for approximately 30 minutes. Reset the hi-limit
thermostat by pressing the reset button (J) located
on the rear side of the unit.
The thermostat needs to be adjusted to a cooler
setting. Adjust the thermostat between Min. (cool) and Max. (colder) levels to achieve the desired temperature.
The water dispenser is not
dispensing water. The water bottle is empty. Replace the empty bottle with a full one.
Mineral deposits are clogging the tanks. See “Cleaning the Inside of the Dispenser”.
There is a possible air pocket. Push down on the dispenser buttons to prime the
unit.
There is possible ice buildup because the thermostat is
set too cold.
Unplug the unit overnight, then reset. Set the
thermostat to Min., slowly increasing based on your
use and need for cold water.
The water dispenser is
noisy.
The bottle is making a gurgling noise as it lls
the tank. This is normal.
The water dispenser is not level. Make sure the dispenser is on an even surface that
can support its full weight.

Q: Why is my water dispenser leaking?
A: If you are experiencing a leak with your water dispenser, please do the following to see if the water bottle or the dispenser is leaking.
□Unplug the unit, and remove the bottle.
□Remove the bottle support collar and check the water level inside the reservoir. It should be roughly three-quarters full. The water level
should be approximately 3/4 in. to 1 in. (1.9 cm to 2.5 cm) below the vent tube.
□Allow the water to sit for approximately 2 hours and closely monitor the reservoir water level. If you see any change/decrease,
immediately drain all remaining water from the unit, (see “Draining the Reservoirs”) and contact customer service at
1-877-527-0313. If the water level does not change, it is the water bottle that is leaking due to a small crack or pinhole, and needs
to be replaced.
Q: Why do I get a plastic taste from my dispenser?
A: As with most new appliances such as coffee makers and kettles, there is often a plastic taste upon initial start-up of the unit. To
remove this taste, simply follow the cleaning instructions outlined in “Cleaning the Inside of the Dispenser.”
Q: What is the spike that goes into the bottle?
A: Glacier Bay water dispensers feature a “piercing valve” as part of the bottle support collar, providing added convenience for water
bottle installation. Depending on the water bottle supplier, some water bottles incorporate a self-piercing membrane in the bottle cap
for this specic purpose (ask your water bottle supplier if your water bottle incorporates this feature). If your water bottle does not
incorporate this feature, the entire bottle cap must be removed to eliminate possible damage to the piercing valve.

NETTOYAGE INITIAL DE PRODUIT
Le distributeur doit être nettoyé avant la première utilisation. An de proter
d'un distributeur d'eau sécuritaire et d'empêcher la prolifération des bacté-
ries, nous vous recommandons fortement de le nettoyer régulièrement (c'est-
à-dire à tous les 4 mois). Vous pouvez obtenir un nécessaire de nettoyage le
commander en ligne à l'adresse www.homedepot.com.
□Assurez-vous que l'appareil est débranché.
□Retirez le collier de soutien de la bouteille (A), imbibez un chiffon propre
avec le produit de nettoyage du distributeur d’eau ou du vinaigre et
essuyez l'intérieur du réservoir.
□Versez le produit de nettoyage du distributeur d’eau ou un mélange
contenant 4 tasses/1 L de vinaigre et 4 tasses/1 L d’eau chaude dans le
réservoir et attendez 20 minutes.
□Appuyez sur tous les robinets de distribution (D and E) jusqu'à ce que
l'eau ne sorte plus.
□Vidanger les réservoirs à l’aide de la vanne de vidange (H) située à
l’arrière de l’appareil.
□Rincez l’appareil encore une fois avec de l’eau propre.
□Remettez le collier de soutien de la bouteille (A) sur le distributeur.
IMPORTANT: Pour éviter tout débordement d'eau pendant le
nettoyage du distributeur, retirez le collier de soutien de la bouteille (A)
avant de verser l'eau ou la solution de nettoyage dans le réservoir
IMPORTANT: Lavez toujours vos mains en premier ! Nettoyez le
dessus (col) de la bouteille avec un chiffon propre et ne touchez pas aux
composants de l’appareil qui sont en contact avec l’eau. Assurez-vous
que l'appareil est débranché. La bouteille d’eau peut être achetée chez
votre détaillant local.

MISE EN PLACE DE LA BOUTEILLE D’EAU
□Soulevez et tournez la bouteille sens dessus dessous et placez-la bien
en contact avec le collier de soutien de la bouteille.

□Appuyez sur tous les boutons (D and E) du distributeur jusqu'à ce que
l'eau coule du distributeur. Vidangez environ 4 tasses/1 L d’eau avant
d’utiliser votre appareil pour la première fois. Il n’est pas nécessaire
de répéter cette fonction chaque fois que vous installez une nouvelle
bouteille.
□Branchez le distributeur d’eau.
□Allumez l'interrupteur d'alimentation de chauffage (B) à l'arrière de
l'appareil.

COLLIER DE SOUTIEN DE BOUTEILLE ANTI-FUITE
Le collier de soutien (A) de la bouteille sur votre distributeur d'eau est conçu
avec un système spéciale anti-fuite pour éviter la perte accidentelle d'eau,
(inondations) à la suite de l'installation par inadvertance, une bouteille d'eau
défectueuse. Malheureusement, toutes les bouteilles d'eau sont créées
égaux. Presque tous les 3 et 5 gallons (12 et 19L) bouteilles d'eau sont
recyclées et traitées intensivement pendant le nettoyage, le remplissage
et l'expédition. En conséquence, ils sont très vulnérables aux fractures en
développement et les fuites sténopé qui ne sont pas toujours évidents à
l'utilisateur nal jusqu'au moment de l'installation.
En cas de fuite d'eau, ce simple test vous permettra d'établir si la bouteille
d'eau ou le distributeur est à la source du problème.
□Débranchez l'appareil, et retirez la bouteille d'eau.
□Retirez le collet de soutien de la bouteille (A) et vériez le niveau d'eau
à l'intérieur du réservoir – il devrait être environ aux trois quarts plein.
□Ajoutez ou videz quelques verres d'eau pour atteindre le niveau de
remplissage requis.
□Laissez l'eau reposer pendant environ 2 heures. Si le distributeur
ne fuit pas, c'est la bouteille d'eau qui fuit (petites fentes ou trous).
Communiquez alors avec le fournisseur d'eau pour obtenir une bouteille
de rechange.
IMPORTANT: Ne jamais installez une bouteille d'eau défectueuse sur
un distributeur d'eau. Retournez la bouteille immédiatement pour un
remplacement.
