Unpack the FlexiVap work station. The unit comes unassembled so it is not damaged
during shipping.
Take the rack & pinion drive and mount it to the base with the four screws provided.
Place the manifold on the two dowel pins located on the rack & pinion drive and secure it
with the two screws provided.
Next secure the 1/8” tubing from the flowmeter to the manifold as shown in the diagram
below.

Set-Up:
Place the heat block control onto the two dowel pins located on your
FlexiVap work station base. Plug the power cord from the control into a
grounded outlet. The power switch for the control is located on the front
of the unit. Connect the thermocouple from the heated block to the
control.
Loading the Block:
Position an aluminum insert on the top of your heat block. The unit is now
ready for operation.
Operating the Unit:
Once the power switch is engaged, the block will start heating. To change the
temperature setting:
Press SET. SP text will appear on the display.
Press SET again. The setpoint value is shown on the display.
The value can be modified with the UP and DOWN arrows.
Press SET to enter any new values.
Press SET and DOWN at the same time to quit programming or wait one minute
and the display will automatically exit programming mode.
Maximum temperature of the block is 100oC. The control is factory set and cannot
exceed this maximum temperature limit.
Maintenance:
Glas-Col heaters do not require regularly scheduled maintenance. However, regular
inspection is recommended. Glas-Col heaters should be protected from chemical spillage,
mechanical damage and corrosive atmospheres so far as possible. Contamination,
overheating and general misuse will greatly reduce the life of the block heater.

Returns:
Call or fax Customer Service for a Return Goods Authorization (RGA) number before
returning a heating mantle.
Reference the RGA number on the shipping box and on a written description of the
problem.
A 20% restocking charge of the net price is changed for all standard products returned to
stock.
