operation of this product. This product has unique features and, even if you are familiar with similar products,

Speciﬁcation WARNING: Always wear ear protection where the sound level exceeds 85dB(A) and limit the time of exposure

if necessary. If sound levels are uncomfortable, even with ear protection, stop using the tool immediately and

check the ear protection is correctly ﬁtted and provides the correct level of sound attenuation for the level of

sound produced by your tool.

WARNING: User exposure to tool vibration can result in loss of sense of touch, numbness, tingling and

reduced ability to grip. Long term exposure can lead to a chronic condition. If necessary, limit the length of

time exposed to vibration and use anti-vibration gloves. Do not operate the tool with hands below a normal

comfortable temperature, as vibration will have a greater effect. Use the ﬁgures provided in the speciﬁcation

relating to vibration to calculate the duration and frequency of operating the tool.

Sound and vibration levels in the speciﬁcation are determined according to EN60745 or similar international

standards. The ﬁgures represent normal use for the tool in normal working conditions. A poorly maintained,

incorrectly assembled, or misused tool, may produce increased levels of noise and vibration.

www.osha.europa.eu provides information on sound and vibration levels in the workplace that may be useful

to domestic users who use tools for long periods of time.

General Safety

WARNING Read all safety warnings and all instructions. Failure to follow the warnings and instructions

may result in electric shock, ﬁre and/or serious injury.

WARNING: This appliance is not intended for use by persons (including children) with reduced,

physical or mental capabilities or lack of experience or knowledge unless they have been given

supervision or instruction concerning use of the appliance by a person responsible for their safety.

Children must be supervised to ensure that they do not play with the appliance.

Save all warnings and instructions for future reference.

The term "power tool" in the warnings refers to your mains-operated (corded) power tool or battery-operated

(cordless) power tool.

1) Work area safety

a) Keep work area clean and well lit. Cluttered or dark areas invite accidents.

b) Do not operate power tools in explosive atmospheres, such as in the presence of ﬂammable liquids,

gases or dust. Power tools create sparks which may ignite the dust or fumes.

c) Keep children and bystanders away while operating a power tool. Distractions can cause you to lose

control.

2) Electrical safety

a) Power tool plugs must match the outlet. Never modify the plug in any way. Do not use any adapter

plugs with earthed (grounded) power tools. Unmodiﬁed plugs and matching outlets will reduce risk of

electric shock.

b) Avoid body contact with earthed or grounded surfaces, such as pipes, radiators, ranges and

refrigerators. There is an increased risk of electric shock if your body is earthed or grounded.

c) Do not expose power tools to rain or wet conditions. Water entering a power tool will increase the risk

of electric shock.

d) Do not abuse the cord. Never use the cord for carrying, pulling or unplugging the power tool. Keep

cord away from heat, oil, sharp edges or moving parts. Damaged or entangled cords increase the risk of

electric shock.

e) When operating a power tool outdoors, use an extension cord suitable for outdoor use. Use of a cord

suitable for outdoor use reduces the risk of electric shock.

f) If operating a power tool in a damp location is unavoidable, use a residual current device (RCD)

protected supply. Use of an RCD reduces the risk of electric shock.

3) Personal safety

a) Stay alert, watch what you are doing and use common sense when operating a power tool. Do not

use a power tool while you are tired or under the inﬂuence of drugs, alcohol or medication. A moment

of inattention while operating power tools may result in serious personal injury.

b) Use personal protective equipment. Always wear eye protection. Protective equipment such as dust

mask, non-skid safety shoes, hard hat, or hearing protection used for appropriate conditions will reduce

personal injuries.

c) Prevent unintentional starting. Ensure the switch is in the off-position before connecting to power

source and/or battery pack, picking up or carrying the tool.

Carrying power tools with your ﬁnger on the switch or energising power tools that have the switch on invites

accidents.

d) Remove any adjusting key or wrench before turning the power tool on. A wrench or a key left attached

to a rotating part of the power tool may result in personal injury.

e) Do not overreach. Keep proper footing and balance at all times. This enables better control of the

power tool in unexpected situations.

f) Dress properly. Do not wear loose clothing or jewellery. Keep your hair, clothing and gloves away

from moving parts. Loose clothes, jewellery or long hair can be caught in moving parts.

g) If devices are provided for the connection of dust extraction and collection facilities, ensure these

are connected and properly used. Use of dust collection can reduce dust-related hazards.

4) Power tool use and care

a) Do not force the power tool. Use the correct power tool for your application. The correct power tool

will do the job better and safer at the rate for which it was designed.

b) Do not use the power tool if the switch does not turn it on and off. Any power tool that cannot be

controlled with the switch is dangerous and must be repaired.

c) Disconnect the plug from the power source and/or the battery pack from the power tool before

making any adjustments, changing accessories, or storing power tools. Such preventive safety measures

reduce the risk of starting the power tool accidentally.

d) Store idle power tools out of the reach of children and do not allow persons unfamiliar with the

power tool or these instructions to operate the power tool.

Power tools are dangerous in the hands of untrained users.

e) Maintain power tools. Check for misalignment or binding of moving parts, breakage of parts and

any other condition that may affect the power tool’s operation. If damaged, have the power tool

repaired before use. Many accidents are caused by poorly maintained power tools.

f) Keep cutting tools sharp and clean. Properly maintained cutting tools with sharp cutting edges are less

likely to bind and are easier to control.

g) Use the power tool, accessories and tool bits etc. in accordance with these instructions, taking

into account the working conditions and the work to be performed. Use of the power tool for operations

different from those intended could result in a hazardous situation.

5) Battery tool use and care

a) Recharge only with the charger speciﬁed by the manufacturer. A charger that is suitable for one type

of battery pack may create a risk of ﬁre when used with another battery pack.

b) Use power tools only with speciﬁcally designated battery packs. Use of any other battery packs may

create a risk of injury and ﬁre.

c) When battery pack is not in use, keep it away from other metal objects, like paper clips, coins, keys,

nails, screws or other small metal objects that can make a connection from one terminal to another.

Shorting the battery terminals together may cause burns or a ﬁre.

d) Under abusive conditions, liquid may be ejected from the battery; avoid contact. If contact occurs,

ﬂush with water. If liquid contacts eyes, additionally seek medical help. Liquid ejected from the battery

may cause irritation or burns.

6) Service

a) Have your power tool serviced by a qualiﬁed repair person using only identical replacement parts.

This will ensure that the safety of the power tool is maintained.

Additional Safety for Battery-Operated

Drills

WARNING: Important: It is imperative to follow all national safety regulations concerning installation,

operation and maintenance.

a) DO NOT allow anyone under the age of 18 years to use this tool, and ensure that operators are

qualiﬁed and familiar with the operating and safety instructions.

b) Battery chargers are for indoors use only. Ensure that the power supply and charger are protected

against moisture at all times.

c) When using the drill, use safety equipment including safety glasses or shield, ear defenders,

and protective clothing including safety gloves. Wear respiratory protection suitable for the work being

undertaken. A minimum rating of FFP2 is recommended. If operating the tool causes discomfort in any

way, stop immediately and review your method of use.

d) Use metal and voltage detectors to locate concealed electric, water or gas lines. Avoid touching live

components or conductors.

e) Ensure that the lighting is adequate.

f) Ensure that the drill bit is securely ﬁxed in the chuck. Insecure drill bits can be ejected from the

machine causing a hazard.

g) Ensure that the drill bit is not in contact with the workpiece prior to starting up the tool.

h) Before drilling, check that there is sufﬁcient clearance for the drill bit under the workpiece.

i) DO NOT exert pressure on to the tool. To do so would shorten its service life.

j) Drill bits get hot during operation, allow to cool prior to handling them.

k) NEVER use your hands to remove sawdust, chips or waste close by the bit.

l) If you are interrupted when operating the drill, complete the process and switch off before

looking up.

m) Where possible, use clamps or a vice to hold your work.

n) Examine the chuck regularly for signs of wear or damage. Have damaged parts repaired by a

qualiﬁed service centre.

o) ALWAYS wait until the drill has come to a complete stop before putting it down.

p) Periodically check all nuts, bolts and other ﬁxings and tighten where necessary.

Battery Charger Safety

Use the battery charger correctly

• Refer to the section of this manual relating to use of the battery charger before attempting to charge

the battery.

• DO NOT attempt to use the charger with any batteries other than those supplied. Keep your battery

charger clean; foreign objects or dirt may cause a short or block air vents. Failure to follow these

instructions may cause overheating or ﬁre

• If the supply cord is damaged, it must be replaced by the manufacturer, the service agent or similarly

qualiﬁed persons in order to avoid a hazard

WARNING: DO NOT attempt to recharge non-rechargeable batteries.

Battery Safety

WARNING: Li-Ion batteries, if incorrectly used, stored or charged are a ﬁre, burn and explosion hazard.

• Keep the battery out of reach of children

• ONLY charge Li-Ion batteries using the charger provided or designed speciﬁcally for your product

• ONLY use Li-Ion batteries provided with a product or speciﬁcally designed to be compatible

• Allow batteries to cool for 15 minutes after charging or heavy use. Failure to follow these instructions may

cause overheating or ﬁre

• When not in use batteries should be stored at room temperature (approximately 20˚C)

• Ensure that battery contacts cannot accidentally short in storage. Keep batteries clean; foreign objects

or dirt may cause a short. Keep away from other metal objects, for example paperclips, coins, keys, nails

and screws

• Under abusive conditions, liquid may be ejected from the battery. This liquid may cause skin irritation

or burns. Avoid contact. If contact accidentally occurs, ﬂush with water. If liquid contacts eyes, seek

medical help

• DO NOT open, disassemble, crush, heat above 60°C or incinerate. Do not dispose of in ﬁre or similar

Intended Use

General-purpose cordless power drill for driving screws and for light drilling applications, including masonry.

Unpacking Your Tool

• Carefully unpack and inspect your new sander. Familiarise yourself with all its features and functions

• Ensure that all parts of the tool are present and in good condition. If any parts are missing or damaged,

have such parts replaced before attempting to use this tool

Before Use

Removing a battery

• To remove the Battery (12) from the drill, press the Battery Release (13), then slide the Battery off the

Hand Grip (9)

WARNING: DO NOT try to remove the Battery without pressing the Battery Release button. The drill or Battery

could be damaged.

Fitting a battery

1. To ﬁt a charged battery, slide it on to the Hand Grip (9) of the drill until it clicks and locks into position

Note: Make sure the Battery and drill are lined up correctly. If the Battery does not slide into the drill easily,

don’t force it. Instead, slide the Battery out of the drill again, check the top of Battery and the drill battery slot

are clean and undamaged and that the contacts are not bent.

Setting up the battery charger

1. If ﬁtted, remove any battery from the Battery Charger (17)

2. Insert the Battery Charger mains plug into a suitable mains socket

Note: The Green LED (15) on the Battery Charger will blink to indicate that the Battery Charger is ready to

charge the battery.

WARNING: ONLY use this charger to charge the supplied battery or additional purchased batteries that are

speciﬁcally designed for this tool.

WARNING: The charger is designed for indoor use only, and MUST NOT be used in damp or wet

conditions.

Charging the battery

WARNING: Failure to follow the correct procedure when charging batteries will result in permanent damage.

Note: Normal charging time is 1 hour for a recently discharged battery. However, if the Battery (12) has been

left in a discharged state for some time, it may take up to 1.5 hours to charge.

1. Slide a fully or partially discharged Battery onto the Battery Charger (17)

Note: Make sure the Battery and Battery Charger are lined up correctly. If the Battery does not slide onto the

Battery Charger easily, don’t force it. Instead, remove the Battery, check the top of Battery and the Battery

Charger slot are clean and undamaged and that the contacts are not bent.

2. Once charging commences, the Red LED (16) will illuminate

3. When the Battery is fully charged, the Green LED (15) will be illuminated

Battery Charge Level: The battery has a built-in Charge Indicator (11), (Fig. I). Pressing on the button to the

right will indicate the charge level. The right LED indicates a high charge level and the left a low charge level

that will mean the battery pack will require charging soon.

IMPORTANT: When a low charge level is indicated be aware the tool may stop operating while using the tool.

In some instances this may be dangerous. It is recommended to always ensure the battery pack has a good

charge level.

Notes about battery charging:

• The battery should be charged at ambient temperatures between 10 and 40°C (ideally around 20°C)

• After charging, allow 15 minutes for the battery to cool before use

• Ensure that the charger is disconnected from the mains supply after use, and is stored correctly

• DO NOT leave batteries on charge for extended periods and NEVER store batteries on charge

• The Battery Charger monitors battery temperature and voltage while charging. Remove the Battery once

charging has been completed to maximise charge cycles of the battery and not waste power

• Batteries can become faulty over time, individual cells in the battery can fail and the battery could short.

The charger will not charge faulty batteries. Use another battery, if possible, to check correct functionality

of the charger and purchase a replacement battery if a faulty battery is indicated

• DO NOT store Lithium-Ion battery packs in a discharged state long term. This can damage the Lithium-Ion

cells. For long-term storage, store batteries in a high charge state disconnected from the power tool

• The capacity of batteries will reduce over time. After 100 charge cycles, the battery’s operation time

and the maximum torque performance of the drill will slightly reduce. This decline will continue until the

battery has minimal capacity after 500 charge cycles. This is normal and not a fault with the battery pack

Fitting drill bits and accessories

WARNING: ALWAYS remove the Battery from the drill before attaching, adjusting or removing accessories.

WARNING: DO NOT attempt to tighten drill bits (or any other accessory) by gripping the front part of the

chuck and switching the tool on. This can lead to personal injury and can cause damage to the chuck.

WARNING: NEVER ﬁt any accessory or bit with a maximum speed lower than the no load speed of the

power tool.

1. Open the Chuck Jaws (1) by rotating the Chuck Collar (2) anti-clockwise

2. Place the drill bit or accessory centrally into the chuck

3. Tighten the Chuck Jaws by rotating the Chuck Collar clockwise

4. When the drill bit or accessory is securely fastened, carefully run the machine to test that it is running

centrally, smoothly and evenly. If the bit is 'wobbling' or not running centrally, release the chuck, check

the accessory for damage, correct its position, retighten and test again

Operation

Direction control

WARNING: NEVER change the direction of rotation while the tool is running. This may cause permanent

damage to the tool.

• The direction of rotation can be set using the Forward/Reverse Switch (7)

• For anti-clockwise rotation, push the switch to the right

• For clockwise rotation, push the switch to the left

Note: When the Forward/Reverse Switch is in the central position, the drill is locked and cannot be switched

on. Use this setting as a safety feature to prevent the drill from being switched on accidentally.

Torque control

Note: This cordless drill is equipped with a torque control clutch allowing the machine to be set to the correct

torque for the individual application.

• The clutch settings are indicated by the symbols on the Torque Selector (3)

• Rotate the Torque Selector to select the desired setting: the higher the number displayed on the torque

ring, the higher the torque produced by the tool

Gear selection

• Select gear 1 on the Gear Switch (5) for the higher torque. A lower speed gear is generally more suitable

for driving screws and fasteners

• Select gear 2 on the Gear Switch for the lower torque. A higher speed gear is for drilling and must not be

used for driving screws and fasteners

Note: ALWAYS read the documentation provided with drill bits and accessories for the recommended or

maximum speed setting and use the most appropriate gear. See ‘Speciﬁcation’ for the maximum no load

speed of each gear.

Switching on/off

WARNING: ALWAYS wear adequate personal protection equipment when setting up and operating this

machine.

1. To start the drill, squeeze the Trigger Switch (8)

2. The built-in Work Light (10) will illuminate when the Trigger Switch is squeezed

Note: If the Trigger Switch cannot be pressed down, check that the Forward/Reverse Switch (7) is not set to its

middle position, which locks the device (see ‘Direction control’).

3. The speed of the drill is controlled by the movement of the trigger: the further the Trigger Switch is

pressed down, the faster the drill will run

4. Release the Trigger Switch to stop the machine

Screwdriver use

Note: Always use a universal bit holder when working with screwdriver bits. Do not mount screwdriver bits

directly into the chuck.

1. Select gear 1 using the Gear Switch (5)

2. Rotate the Mode Selector (4) to Drive

3. Adjust the drill to the appropriate torque setting (see ‘Torque control’)

• When driving screws NEVER use the machine in drill mode

Note: If in doubt which torque setting best suits the application, start with a low setting and increase, should

more torque be required (e.g. if the screw is not being driven far enough into the workpiece).

Drilling masonry and concrete

1. Select the appropriate gear using the Gear Switch (5)

2. Rotate the Mode Selector (4) to the hammer drill position

• Hammer drill mode should be used for drilling into masonry and concrete

• Apply moderate pressure to the rear of the drill, in line with the drill bit

• Use masonry drill bits only. Ensure that the bit size is within the maximum capacity of the machine (see

‘Speciﬁcation’)

• DO NOT apply too much pressure. If debris blocks the drill hole, run the drill slowly and remove the bit

from the hole. Repeat until hole is cleared

WARNING: The drill bit, especially the tip, will become very hot when drilling masonry and concrete. DO NOT

touch the bit and never allow it to come into contact with combustible materials.

WARNING: DO NOT inhale masonry dust. Wear adequate breathing protection. Dust from masonry, concrete

and similar substances is harmful and may be toxic.

Drilling wood

1. Select the appropriate gear using the Gear Switch (5)

2. Rotate the Mode Selector (4) to the drill position

• Ensure that drill bits are suitable for wood, and are within the maximum capacity of this machine (see

‘Speciﬁcation’)

WARNING: DO NOT inhale wood dust. Wear adequate breathing protection. Some wood dusts may be

toxic.

Drilling metal

• Select the appropriate gear using the Gear Switch (5)

• Rotate the Mode Selector (4) to the drill position

• Ensure that drill bits are suitable for the grade of metal being drilled, and are within the maximum

capacity of the machine (see ‘Speciﬁcation’)

• To ensure accuracy, mark the intended hole position using a hammer and centre punch

WARNING: The drill bit and the workpiece will become very hot when drilling metal. DO NOT touch the bit

and never allow it to come into contact with combustible materials when hot. Always use a suitable lubricant

or cutting ﬂuid, and drill at appropriate speeds.

• ONLY apply moderate pressure to the drill bit, ensuring efﬁcient cutting and prolonged drill bit life

• Use a countersink bit to remove sharp burrs from the hole, preventing cuts and other kinds of injury

WARNING: If the power tool gets excessively hot in use, stop using the tool immediately and allow to cool

before continuing work. The cooling period can be reduced by operating the drill at maximum speed with no

load. Always make sure the Motor Vents (6) are not blocked and do not allow dust to enter the body of the tool

through the Motor Vents; dust, especially metallic dust, may damage or destroy the tool.

Maintenance

WARNING: ALWAYS disconnect from the mains power supply, before carrying out any maintenance/

cleaning of the charger. Remove the battery before carrying out any maintenance/cleaning of the drill.

Note: Both the drill and the charger contain no user-serviceable parts. If the device does not perform as

outlined in this manual, return it to an authorised GMC service centre for repair.

General inspection

• Regularly check that all the ﬁxing screws are tight

• Inspect the supply cord of the tool, prior to each use, for damage or wear. Repairs should be carried out by

an authorised GMC service centre. This advice also applies to extension cords used with this tool

Cleaning

• Keep your tool clean at all times. Dirt and dust will cause internal parts to wear quickly, and shorten the

machine’s service life. Clean the body of your machine with a soft brush, or dry cloth. If available, use

clean, dry, compressed air to blow through the ventilation holes

• Clean the tool casing with a soft damp cloth using a mild detergent. Do not use alcohol, petrol or strong

cleaning agents

• Never use caustic agents to clean plastic parts

Lubrication

• Slightly lubricate all moving parts at regular intervals with a suitable spray lubricant

Storage

• Store this tool carefully in a secure, dry place out of the reach of children

Disposal

Always adhere to national regulations when disposing of power tools that are no longer functional and are

not viable for repair.

• Do not dispose of power tools, or other waste electrical and electronic equipment (WEEE), with household

waste

• Contact your local waste disposal authority for information on the correct way to dispose of power tools

GMC batteries are guaranteed for 6 months. If a defect occurs on a registered battery during the term

of the Battery Guarantee, due to material or manufacturing fault, then GMC will replace it free of charge.

This guarantee does not apply to commercial use nor does it extend to normal wear and tear or damage

as a result of accident, abuse or misuse.

Speciﬁcaties WAARSCHUWING: Bij een geluidsintensiteit van 85 dB(A) of hoger is het dragen van gehoorbescherming en

het limiteren van de blootstellingstijd vereist. Bij oncomfortabel hoge geluidsniveaus, zelfs met het dragen

van gehoorbescherming, stopt u het gebruik van de machine onmiddellijk. Controleer de pasvorm en het

geluiddempingsniveau van de bescherming.

WAARSCHUWING: Blootstelling aan trilling resulteert mogelijk in gevoelloosheid, tinteling en een vermindert

gripvermogen. Langdurige blootstelling kan leiden tot chronische condities. Limiteer de blootstellingsduur en

draag anti-vibratie handschoenen. Vibratie heeft een grotere invloed op handen met een temperatuur lager

dan een normale, comfortabele temperatuur. Maak gebruik van de informatie in de speciﬁcaties voor het

bereken van de gebruiksduur en frequentie van de machine.

Geluid- en trillingsniveaus in de speciﬁcatie zijn vastgesteld volgens EN60745 of een gelijksoortige

internationale norm. De waarden gelden voor een normaal gebruik in normale werkomstandigheden.

Een slecht onderhouden, onjuist samengestelde of onjuist gebruikte machine produceert mogelijk hogere

geluids- en trillingsniveaus. www.osha.europa.eu biedt informatie met betrekking tot geluids- en

trillingsniveaus op de werkplek wat mogelijk nuttig is voor regelmatige gebruikers van machines.

Algemene veiligheid voor elektrisch

gereedschap

WAARSCHUWING: Lees alle bediening- en veiligheidsvoorschriften. Het niet opvolgen van alle

voorschriften die hieronder vermeld staan, kan resulteren in een elektrische schok, brand en/of ernstig letsel.

WAARSCHUWING: De machine is niet geschikt voor gebruik door personen met een verminderde

mentale of fysieke gesteldheid of een gebrek aan ervaring, tenzij de persoon wordt begeleid of

geïnstrueerd door een persoon verantwoordelijk voor de veiligheid

Bewaar deze voorschriften voor toekomstig gebruik.

De term “elektrisch gereedschap” in alle hieronder vermelde waarschuwingen heeft betrekking op uw

elektrische gereedschap dat op de stroom is aangesloten (met een snoer) of met een accu wordt gevoed

(snoerloos).

1) Veiligheid in de werkruimte

a) Houd de werkruimte schoon en zorg voor een goede verlichting. Rommelige en donkere ruimtes

leiden vaak tot ongelukken.

b) Werk niet met elektrisch gereedschap in explosieve omgevingen, bijvoorbeeld in de aanwezigheid

van ontvlambare vloeistoffen, gassen of stof. Elektrisch gereedschap brengt vonken teweeg die stof of

dampen kunnen doen ontbranden.

c) Houd kinderen en omstanders uit de buurt wanneer u elektrisch gereedschap bedient. Door

aﬂeiding kunt u de controle over het gereedschap verliezen.

2) Elektrische veiligheid

a) De stekkers van het elektrische gereedschap moeten passen bij het stopcontact. Pas de stekker

niet aan. Gebruik geen adapterstekkers bij geaard elektrisch gereedschap. Het gebruik van

ongewijzigde stekkers en passende stopcontacten vermindert het risico op een elektrische schok.

b) Vermijd lichamelijk contact met geaarde oppervlakken zoals pijpen, radiatoren, fornuizen en

koelkasten. Het risico op een elektrische schok neemt toe als uw lichaam geaard wordt.

c) Laat elektrisch gereedschap niet nat worden. Wanneer elektrisch gereedschap nat wordt, neemt het

risico op een elektrische schok toe.

d) Beschadig het snoer niet. Gebruik het snoer nooit om het elektrisch gereedschap te dragen, te

trekken of om de stekker uit het stopcontact te trekken. Houd het snoer uit de buurt van hitte, olie,

scherpe randen of bewegende delen. Een beschadigd of in de knoop geraakt snoeren verhoogt het

risico op een elektrische schok toe.

e) Wanneer u elektrisch gereedschap buiten gebruikt, maak dan gebruik van een verlengsnoer dat

geschikt is voor gebruik buitenshuis. Gebruik een verlengsnoer dat geschikt is voor gebruik buitenshuis

om het risico op een elektrische schok te verminderen.

f) Indien het onvermijdelijk is elektrisch gereedschap te gebruiken in een vochtige omgeving, gebruik

dan een energiebron met een aardlek beveiliging (Residual Currency Device). Het gebruik van een

RCD vermindert het risico op een elektrische schok.

3) Persoonlijke veiligheid

a) Blijf alert en gebruik uw gezonde verstand wanneer u elektrisch gereedschap bedient. Gebruik

het elektrisch gereedschap niet wanneer u vermoeid bent of onder invloed van drugs, alcohol of

medicijnen. Onoplettendheid tijdens het bedienen van elektrisch gereedschap kan leiden tot ernstig letsel.

b) Maak gebruik van persoonlijke bescherming. Draag altijd een veiligheidsbril. Passende

bescherming voor de omstandigheden, zoals een stofmasker, niet-slippende veiligheidsschoenen een helm

of gehoorbescherming, vermindert het risico op persoonlijk letsel.

c) Zorg ervoor dat het apparaat niet per ongeluk wordt gestart. Controleer of de schakelaar in de ‘uit’

stand staat voordat u de stekker in het stopcontact steekt. Het dragen van elektrisch gereedschap

met uw vinger op de schakelaar of het aansluiten op de stroom van elektrisch gereedschap met de

schakelaar ingeschakeld kan tot ongelukken leiden.

d) Verwijder alle stel- of moersleutels voordat u het elektrische gereedschap inschakelt. Een moer- of

stelsleutel die zich op een draaiend onderdeel van het elektrische gereedschap bevindt, kan leiden tot

letsel.

e) Reik niet te ver. Blijf altijd stevig en in balans staan. Zo houdt u meer controle over het elektrische

gereedschap in onverwachte situaties.

f) Draag geschikte kleding. Draag geen loshangende kleding of sieraden. Houd haren, kleding en

handschoenen uit de buurt van bewegende delen. Loshangende kleding, sieraden en los hangende

haren kunnen vast komen te zitten in bewegende delen.

g) Als er onderdelen voor stofafvoer- en stofverzameling worden meegeleverd, sluit deze dan aan

en gebruik deze op de juiste wijze. Het gebruik van deze onderdelen kan het risico op stof gerelateerde

ongelukken verminderen.

4) Gebruik en verzorging van elektrisch gereedschap

a) Forceer elektrisch gereedschap niet. Gebruik elektrisch gereedschap dat geschikt is voor het werk

dat u wilt uitvoeren. Geschikt elektrisch gereedschap werkt beter en veiliger op een passende snelheid.

b) Gebruik het elektrische gereedschap niet als de schakelaar het apparaat niet in- en uitschakelt.

Elektrisch gereedschap dat niet bediend kan worden met de schakelaar is gevaarlijk en moet gerepareerd

worden.

c) Haal de stekker uit het stopcontact voordat u instellingen aanpast, toebehoren verwisselt of het

elektrische gereedschap opbergt. Dergelijke voorzorgsmaatregelen verminderen het risico op het per

ongeluk starten van het elektrische gereedschap.

d) Berg elektrisch gereedschap dat niet in gebruik is op buiten bereik van kinderen en laat mensen

die niet bekend zijn met het elektrische gereedschap of met deze instructies het elektrische

gereedschap niet bedienen. Elektrisch gereedschap is gevaarlijk in de handen van onervaren gebruikers.

e) Onderhoud uw elektrisch gereedschap. Controleer op foutieve uitlijning of het vastslaan van

bewegende delen, gebroken onderdelen en elke andere afwijking die de werking van het

elektrische gereedschap zou kunnen beïnvloeden. Indien het elektrische gereedschap beschadigd

is, moet u het laten repareren voordat u het weer gebruikt. Veel ongelukken worden veroorzaakt door

slecht onderhouden elektrisch gereedschap.

f) Houd snijwerktuigen scherp en schoon. Goed onderhouden snijwerktuigen met scherpe messen slaan

minder snel vast en zijn gemakkelijker te bedienen.

g) Gebruik het elektrische gereedschap, toebehoren en onderdelen, etc. volgens deze instructies en

volgens bestemming voor het speciﬁeke type elektrisch gereedschap, en houd daarbij rekening

met de werkomstandigheden en het uit te voeren werk. Gebruik van elektrisch gereedschap voor

werkzaamheden die verschillen van die waarvoor het apparaat bestemd is, kan leiden tot gevaarlijke

situaties.

WAARSCHUWING: Wanneer de machine in Australië of Nieuw-Zeeland gebruikt wordt, met een lekstroom van

30 mA of lager, is het gebruik van een aardlekschakelaar aanbevolen

5) Accu machine gebruik en onderhoud

a) Laad de accu enkel met de door de fabrikant gespeciﬁceerde accu op. Het gebruik van een accu,

geschikt voor één accusoort, voor een andere accusoort resulteert mogelijk in brand

b) Gebruik accu machines enkel met speciﬁek bedoelde accu’s. Het gebruik van andere accu’s resulteert

mogelijk in persoonlijk letsel en brand

c) Wanneer een accu niet gebruik is, houdt u deze uit de buurt van metalen voorwerpen als paperclips,

munten, spijkers, schroeven, etc. Het kortsluiten van een accu resulteert mogelijk in brand

Wanneer accuvloeistoffen in uw ogen terecht komt, zoekt u onmiddellijk medische hulp.

Accuvloeistoffen veroorzaken mogelijk irritatie en brandend gevoel

d) Misbruik van de accu resulteert mogelijk in vloeistof uitstoot. Voorkom contact. Spoel, wanneer

contact plaatsgevonden heeft, onmiddellijk met water. Wanneer de vloeistof in uw ogen terecht

komt zoekt u onmiddellijk medische hulp. Accuvloeistoffen veroorzaken mogelijk irritatie en brandend

gevoel

6) Onderhoud

a) Laat uw elektrische gereedschap onderhouden door een gekwaliﬁceerde vakman en gebruik

alleen identieke vervangstukken. Zo bent u er zeker van dat de veiligheid van het elektrische

gereedschap gewaarborgd blijft.

Veiligheid voor accuboormachines

Belangrijk: Het is noodzakelijk alle nationale veiligheidsregels met betrekking tot installatie, gebruik en

onderhoud op te volgen

a) Laat personen jonger dan 18 jaar de boorhamer niet gebruiken. Tevens horen alle gebruikers met

de gebruik- en veiligheidsinstructies bekend te zijn

b) Draag gehoorbescherming bij het gebruik in de hamerstand. Blootstelling aan hoge geluidsniveaus

resulteert mogelijk in gehoorbeschadiging

c) Gebruik wanneer mogelijk de hulphandvaten. Het verliezen van de controle over de machine resulteert

mogelijk in persoonlijk letsel

d) Houdt de machine bij de geïsoleerde grip vast, wanneer de machine tijdens gebruik in contact kan

komen met stroomdraad. Aanraking met stroomdraad kan resulteren in elektrische schok

e) Opladers zijn enkel geschikt voor binnen gebruik. Zorg ervoor dat de stroombron en oplader te allen

tijde beschermt zijn tegen vocht

f) Bij het gebruik van de boorhamer is de volgende veiligheidsuitrusting verplicht: veiligheidsbril,

gehoorbescherming en handschoenen. Wanneer het boren stof produceert draagt u een stofmasker.

Een minimale waardering van FFP2 is aanbevolen. Wanneer het gebruik van de machine op enige wijze

voor ongemak zorgt, stopt u het werk onmiddellijk.

g) Gebruik metaal- en spanningszoekers voor het vinden van verborgen water- , gas- en/of

elektrische leidingen. Vermijdt het contact met componenten die onder spanning staan

h) Zorg voor een goede verlichting

i) Zorg ervoor dat beitel of boor bits stevig in de boorhouder vast zitten. Losse bits kunnen losschieten

en ongelukken veroorzaken

j) Breng het bit in contact met het werkstuk voordat u de machine start

k) Controleer voordat u begint met boren of er genoeg vrije ruimte is onder het werkstuk

l) Oefen geen druk op de boorhamer uit waar dit de levensduur verslechterd

m) Boor bits worden tijdens gebruik erg heet. Laat ze na gebruik afkoelen.

n) Verwijder zaagsel of vuil dicht bij het boor bit niet met uw handen

o) Wanneer u tijdens het gebruik van de boorhamer gestoord wordt, maakt u het werk af en schakelt

u de machine uit voordat u opkijkt

p) Maak wanneer mogelijk gebruik van klemmen of bankschroeven voor het klemmen van het

werkstuk

Acculader veiligheid

Juist gebruik van de oplader

• Raadpleeg het deel in deze handleiding wat betrekking heeft op het gebruik van de oplader, voor het

opladen van de accu.

• Gebruik de oplader niet in combinatie met een accu, anders dan die verstrekt bij de machine. Houd

de oplader schoon; stof en/of vuil kan leiden tot kortsluiting en een geblokkeerde ventilatie wat kan

resulteren in oververhitting en/of brand

• Wanneer het stroomsnoer beschadigt is, laat u deze door de fabrikant vervangen om gevaren te

voorkomen

Waarschuwing: Herlaad geen niet-oplaadbare accu’s.

Accu veiligheid

WAARSCHUWING: Li-ion accu’s zijn, wanneer onjuist gebruikt, opgeborgen of opgeladen, een mogelijk

brand- en explosiegevaar

• Houdt de accu uit de buurt van kinderen

• Laad Li-ion accu’s enkel op met de oplader, inbegrepen bij het product of speciaal ontworpen voor uw

product

• Gebruik enkel Li-ion accu’s inbegrepen bij uw product of speciaal ontworpen voor compatibiliteit

• Laat accu’s na het opladen of na zwaar gebruik 15 minuten afkoelen om oververhitting en brand te

voorkomen

• Wanneer niet in gebruik dienen accu’s op kamertemperatuur (ongeveer 20°C) opgeborgen te worden

• Zorg ervoor dat de accu, wanneer opgeborgen, geen kortsluiting kan veroorzaken. Houdt accu’s schoon;

vreemde voorwerpen kunnen kortsluiting veroorzaken. Houdt accu’s uit de buurt van metalen voorwerpen

als paperclips, muntjes, sleutels, etc.

• Bij verkeerd gebruik kan vloeistof uit de accu lekken. De vloeistof veroorzaakt mogelijk huidirritatie

brandwonden. Wanneer de vloeistof in contact komt met de huid spoelt u uw huid onmiddellijk met water.

Wanneer de vloeistof in de ogen terecht komt zoekt u onmiddellijk medische hulp

• Open, demonteer, breek, verwarm (boven 60°C) en verbrand accu’s niet. Gooi accu’s niet in het vuur

Gebruiksdoel

Accuboormachine voor het indraaien van schroeven en lichte boordoeleinden, inclusief beton

Het uitpakken van uw gereedschap

• Pak uw toestel / gereedschap uit. Inspecteer het en zorg dat u met alle kenmerken en functies vertrouwd

raakt.

• Controleer of alle onderdelen aanwezig zijn en in goede staat verkeren. Als er onderdelen ontbreken of

beschadigd zijn, zorg dan dat deze vervangen worden voor u dit toestel / gereedschap gebruikt.

Voor gebruik

Het ontkoppelen van de accu

• Om de accu (12) te ontkoppelen drukt u de verlosschakels (13) aan beide zijden van de machine. Trek de

accu uit het handvat (9)

Let op: Probeer de accu niet te ontkoppelen zonder het indrukken van de verlosschakels. De accu en de

machine raken zo mogelijk beschadigd

Het aansluiten van een opgeladen accu

1. Schuif de opgeladen accu in de onderzijde van het handvat (9) tot deze in positie klikt

Let op: Zorg ervoor dat de machine en de accu juist zijn uitgelijnd. De accu dient gemakkelijk in de machine

te schuiven. Forceer de accu niet. Wanneer de accu niet soepel in de machine schuift, controleert u de accu,

de machine gleuven en de contactpunten voordat u het opnieuw probeert

Het opzetten van de accuoplader

2. Wanneer een accu is aangesloten, ontkoppeld u deze van de oplader (17)

3. Steek van de oplader in een geschikt stopcontact

Let op: Het groene LED lampje (15) op de accueenheid knippert wanneer de oplader in staat is de accu op

te laden.

WAARSCHUWING: Gebruik de oplader enkel voor het opladen van de inbegrepen accu, of voor aangeschafte

accu’s, speciﬁek ontworpen voor de machine

WAARSCHUWING: De oplader is enkel geschikt voor binnen gebruik en dient niet in vochtige

omstandigheden gebruikt te worden

Het opladen van de accu

WAARSCHUWING: Wanneer de instructies niet opgevolgd worden raakt de accu mogelijk permanent

beschadigd

Let op: De normale laadtijd van een onlangs ontladen accu bedraagt een uur. De laadtijd van accu’s die voor

langere tijd ontladen zijn bedraagt ongeveer anderhalf uur

1. Schuif de ontladen/gedeeltelijk ontladen accu op de oplader (17)

Let op: Zorg ervoor dat de accu en de oplader juist zijn uitgelijnd. De accu dient gemakkelijk in de oplader te

schuiven. Forceer de accu niet. Wanneer de accu niet soepel op de oplader schuift, controleert u de accu, de

oplader gleuven en de contactpunten voordat u het opnieuw probeert

2. Wanneer het opladen start zal het rode LED lampje (16) branden

3. Wanneer de accu volledig is opgeladen brand het groene lampje (15)

Accu laadniveau: De accu is voorzien van een laadniveau indicator (11) (Fig. I). Druk de knop aan de rechter

zijde in om het laadniveau weer te geven. Het rechter LED duidt op een hoog laadniveau en het linker LED

duidt op een laag laadniveau

BELANGRIJK: Wanneer de machine een laag laadniveau aangeeft, stopt de machine mogelijk tijdens gebruik.

In sommige gevallen is dit gevaarlijk. Het is aanbevolen de accu te gebruiken met een redelijk laadniveau

Opmerkingen betreft het opladen van de accu:

• De accu dient bij een omgevingstemperatuur tussen de 10 en 40°C (dicht bij 20°C is ideaal) opgeladen

te worden

• Na het opladen vereist de accu een afkoelperiode van 15 minuten

• Zorg ervoor dat de oplader na het opladen van de stroombron wordt ontkoppeld en juist wordt

opgeborgen

• Laad accu’s NOOIT voor langere periodes op en berg accu’s NOOIT op wanneer deze worden opgeladen

• Accu’s kunnen na verloop van tijd stuk raken, individuele cellen breken wat leidt tot kortsluiting in de

accu. De oplader laadt zulke accu’s niet op. Gebruik de andere accu om de werking van de oplader te

controleren en schaf een nieuwe accu aan

• Li-ion accu’s mogen niet voor langere tijd ontladen opgeborgen worden. Dit beschadigt de Li-ion

accucellen mogelijk. Accu’s dienen volledig opgeladen (ontkoppeld van de oplader) te zijn wanneer deze

voor langere tijd opgeborgen worden

• De capaciteit van accu’s wordt na verloop van tijd lager. Na 100 laadcyclussen zullen de gebruiksduur

en de maximale koppel van de boormachine lichtelijk verkorten/verlagen. Na 500 laadcyclussen is de

minimale capaciteit van de accu bereikt. Dit is normaal en duidt niet op een foutieve accu

Het bevestigen van boor bits en accessoires

WAARSCHUWING: Verwijder de accu van de machine voor het bevestigen, aanpassen of verwijderen

van accessoires

WAARSCHUWING: Zet boor bits (of andere accessoires) niet vast door de boorhouder vast te pakken en

de machine in te schakelen. Dit resulteert mogelijk in persoonlijk letsel en boorhouder beschadiging

WAARSCHUWING: Bevestig geen accessoires met een maximale snelheid, lager dan de onbelaste

snelheid van de machine

1. Open de spankop kaken (1) door de spankop hals (2) linksom te draaien

2. Plaats het accessoire in het midden van de spankop

3. Vergrendel het accessoire door de spankop hals rechtsom te draaien

4. Wanneer het accessoire vergrendeld is, schakelt u de machine in om te controleren of het accessoire

recht in de boorhouder zit. Wanneer het accessoire wiebelt, opent u de boorhouder, controleert u

het accessoire op schade, past u de positie van het accessoire aan, draait u de boorhouder vast en

controleert u het accessoire opnieuw

Gebruik

Rotatierichting controle

WAARSCHUWING: Wanneer de machine is ingeschakeld mag de rotatierichting NOOIT veranderd worden.

Dit voorkomt permanente schade aan de machine

• De rotatierichting kan met behulp van de rotatierichting schakelaar (7) veranderd worden

• Voor een rotatierichting linksom, duwt u de schakelaar naar rechts

• Voor een rotatierichting rechtsom, duwt u de schakelaar naar links

Let op: Wanneer de schakelaar in het midden staat is de machine vergrendeld en kan deze niet ingeschakeld

worden. Gebruik deze stand als veiligheidsfunctie om plotse inschakeling van de machine te voorkomen

Koppelcontrole

Let op: De draadloze machine is voorzien van een koppelcontrole waardoor de koppel juist kan worden

versteld voor elke uit te voeren taak

• De koppelstanden zijn met symbolen op de koppel stelring (3) aangeduid

• Draai de ring om de benodigde instelling te verkrijgen: een hoger nummer duidt op een hogere koppel

Versnelling selectie

• Selecteer versnelling 1 op de schakelaar (5) voor een hogere koppeling. Versnellingen met een

lagere snelheid zijn over algemeen het meest geschikt voor het indraaien van schroeven en andere

bevestigingsmiddelen

• Selecteer versnelling 2 op de schakelaar voor een lagere koppeling. Versnellingen met een

hogere snelheid dienen niet gebruikt te worden voor het indraaien van schroeven en andere

bevestigingsmiddelen

Let op: Lees de informatie betreft de aanbevolen maximale snelheid, voorzien bij de boor bits/accessoires,

Het in- en uitschakelen van de machine

WAARSCHUWING: Bij het gebruik van de machine is het dragen van de benodigde beschermende

uitrusting vereist

u deze wanneer meer koppel vereist is (v.b. wanneer de schroef niet ver genoeg in het werkstuk gedreven

wordt)

Het boren in steen en beton

1. Selecteer de gewenste stand op de versnellingsschakelaar (5)

2. Draai de stand schakelaar (4) in de hamerstand

• De hamerstand dient gebruikt te worden voor het boren in steen en beton

• Oefen een gematigde druk op de achterzijde van de machine uit, in lijn met het boor bit

• Maak enkel gebruik van beton boor bits. Zorg ervoor dat de maat van het bit binnen de maximale

capaciteit van de machine valt (zie: ‘Speciﬁcaties’)

• Oefen niet te veel druk op de machine uit. Wanneer het boorgat verstopt is, beweegt u de boor met een

langzame rotatiesnelheid in en uit het gat, tot het boorgat vrij is

WAARSCHUWING: Het boor bit, vooral de punt, wordt tijdens gebruik erg heet. Raak het boor bit niet aan en

voorkom het contact met ontvlambare materialen

WAARSCHUWING: Draag een geschikt stofmasker zodat het betonstof niet geïnhaleerd wordt. Stof van beton

Het boren in metaal

• Zorg ervoor dat het boor bit geschikt is voor het boren in metaal en binnen de maximale capaciteit van de

machine valt (zie: ‘Speciﬁcaties’)

• Voor nauwkeurige boorresultaten markeert u het te boren gat met gebruik van een hamer en een priem

WAARSCHUWING: Tijdens het boren van metaal worden het boor bit en het werkstuk erg heet. Raak het

bit niet aan en zorg ervoor dat het niet in contact komt met brandbare materialen. Maak te allen tijde gebruik

van een geschikt smeermiddel of boorvloeistof en boor op een geschikte snelheid

• Voor efﬁciënt boren en een maximale gebruiksduur oefent u enkel een lichte druk op de machine uit

• Gebruik een verzonken boor om de scherpe randen van het gat te verwijderen en zo de kans op letsel

te verminderen

WAARSCHUWING: Wanneer de machine tijdens gebruik heet wordt, schakelt u deze onmiddellijk uit en

laat u deze volledig afkoelen voordat u het werk hervat. Laat de machine voor korte tijd onbelast lopen om

de koelperiode te minimaliseren. Zorg ervoor dat de ventilatiegaten (6) te allen tijde vrij zijn en voorkom de

ingang van stof en vuil. Stof kan de machine beschadigen en mogelijk vernielen

• Een breed accessoire aanbod, waaronder boor bits, schroef bits, komborstels etc. is verkrijgbaar bij uw

GMC handelaar. Reserve accu’s zijn te bestellen bij uw handelaar of op toolsparesonline.com

Onderhoud

WAARSCHUWING: Haal de stekker uit het stopcontact voordat u de oplader schoonmaakt of enig

onderhoud uitvoert. Verwijder de accu voordat u de machine schoonmaakt of enig onderhoud uitvoert.

Let op: Zowel de machine als de oplader bevat geen door de gebruiker te repareren onderdelen. Wanneer de

machine niet juist functioneert als beschreven in deze handleiding, laat u de machine bij een GMC service

center repareren

Algemene inspectie

• Controleer regelmatig of alle bevestigingsmiddelen nog goed vast zitten. Door vibratie kunnen ze na enige

tijd los gaan zitten

• Inspecteer het stroomsnoer voor elk gebruik op slijtage en beschadiging. Reparaties dienen uitgevoerd

worden bij een geautoriseerd GMC service center. Dit geld tevens voor verlengsnoeren, gebruikt met de

machine

Schoonmaak

• Houd uw machine te allen tijde schoon. Vuil en stof doen de interne onderdelen snel slijten, wat de

levensduur aanzienlijk vermindert. Maak de machine met een zachte borstel of droge doek schoon.

Gebruik wanneer mogelijk zuivere, droge perslucht om door de luchtgaten te blazen

• Maak de behuizing met een vochtige doek en een licht schoonmaakmiddel schoon. Gebruik geen alcohol,

benzine of hardnekkig schoonmaakmiddel

• Gebruik geen bijtende stoffen voor het schoonmaken van plastic onderdelen

et limiter le temps d’exposition si nécessaire. Si l’intensité sonore devient inconfortable, même avec les

Attention : L’exposition de l’utilisateur aux vibrations peut engendrer une perte du toucher, des

1. Sécurité sur la zone de travail

a) Maintenir une zone de travail propre et bien éclairée. Des zones encombrées et mal éclairées sont

sources d’accidents.

b. Ne pas utiliser d’outils électriques dans des environnements explosifs, tels qu’à proximité

de liquides, de gaz ou de poussières inﬂammables. Les outils électriques produisent des étincelles

susceptibles d’enﬂammer la poussière ou les vapeurs présentes.

c. Éloigner les enfants et les passants pendant l’utilisation d’un outil électrique. Ceux-ci pourraient

vous distraire et vous faire perdre la maîtrise de l’appareil.

2. Sécurité électrique

a. Les prises des outils électriques doivent correspondre aux prises du secteur. Ne modiﬁez jamais

la prise en aucune façon. N’utilisez jamais d’adaptateur avec les outils électriques mis à la terre.

Des prises non modiﬁées, adaptées aux boîtiers de prise de courant, réduiront les risques de décharge

électrique.

b. Éviter le contact corporel avec les surfaces mises à la terre telles que tuyaux, radiateurs,

cuisinières et réfrigérateurs. Le risque de décharge électrique est plus important si votre corps est mis à

la terre.

c. Ne pas exposer votre outil électrique à la pluie ou à l’humidité. L’inﬁltration d’eau dans un outil

électrique augmentera le risque de décharge électrique.

d. Ne pas maltraiter le cordon électrique. N’utilisez jamais le cordon électrique pour porter, tirer ou

débrancher l’outil électrique. Conservez le cordon électrique à l’écart de la chaleur, de l’essence,

de bords tranchants ou de pièces en mouvement. Un cordon électrique endommagé ou entortillé

accroît le risque de décharge électrique.

e. Au cas où l’outil électroportatif serait utilisé à l’extérieur, servez-vous d’une rallonge appropriée à

c. Éviter tout démarrage accidentel. S’assurer que l’interrupteur marche-arrêt soit en position d’arrêt

(Off) avant de brancher l’outil sur l’alimentation secteur. Porter un outil électrique tout en maintenant

le doigt posé sur l’interrupteur ou brancher un outil électrique dont l’interrupteur est sur la position de

marche (On) est source d’accidents.

d. Enlever toute clé ou tout instrument de réglage avant de mettre l’outil électrique en marche. Une

clé ou un instrument de réglage laissé ﬁxé à un élément en rotation de l’outil électrique peut entraîner des

blessures physiques.

e. Ne pas essayer d’atteindre une zone hors de portée. Se tenir toujours en position stable et conserver

l’équilibre. Cela permet de mieux contrôler l’outil électrique dans des situations inattendues.

f. Porter des vêtements appropriés. Ne pas porter de vêtements amples ou des bijoux pendants.

Les vêtements amples, les bijoux pendants ou les cheveux longs peuvent être happé par les pièces en

mouvement.

g. Si l’outil est pourvu de dispositifs destinés au raccord d’équipements d’extraction et de

récupération de la poussière/sciure, s’assurer qu’ils soient bien ﬁxés et utilisés correctement.

L’utilisation de ces dispositifs peut réduire les risques dus à la poussière.

4. Utilisation et entretien des outils électriques

a. Ne pas surcharger l’outil électrique. Utiliser l’outil électrique approprié au travail à effectuer. Un

outil électrique adapté et employé au rythme pour lequel il a été conçu permettra de réaliser un travail de

meilleure qualité et dans de meilleures conditions de sécurité.

b. Ne pas utiliser un outil électrique dont l’interrupteur marche-arrêt est hors service. Tout outil

électrique dont la commande ne s’effectue plus par l’interrupteur marche-arrêt est dangereux et doit être

réparé.

c. Débrancher l’outil électrique avant d’effectuer tout réglage, changement d’accessoire ou avant de

le ranger. De telles mesures préventives réduiront les risques de démarrage accidentel.

d. Ranger les outils électriques inutilisés hors de portée des enfants et ne pas permettre l’utilisation

de ces outils aux personnes novices ou n’ayant pas connaissance de ces instructions. Les outils

électriques sont dangereux dans les mains d’utilisateurs inexpérimentés.

e. Veiller à l’entretien des outils électriques. Vériﬁer que les éléments rotatifs soient bien alignés et

non grippés. S’assurer de l’absence de pièces cassées ou endommagées susceptibles de nuire

au bon fonctionnement de l'outil. Si l’outil électrique est endommagé, le faire réparer avant toute

utilisation. De nombreux accidents sont causés par l’utilisation d’outils électriques mal entretenus.

f. Garder les outils de coupe affûtés et propres. Des outils de coupe bien entretenus, aux tranchants bien

affûtés, sont moins susceptibles de se gripper et sont plus faciles à contrôler.

g. Utiliser l’outil électrique, les accessoires et les outils à monter, etc., conformément à ces

instructions et selon l’utilisation prévue pour le type d’outil donné, en tenant compte des

conditions de travail et de la tâche à réaliser. Toute utilisation de cet outil électrique autre que celle

pour laquelle il a été conçu peut entraîner des situations à risque et entraînerait une annulation de sa

garantie.

5. Entretien et utilisation des outils électroportatifs

a. Ne rechargez qu’à l’aide du chargeur indiqué par le fabricant. Un chargeur fonctionnant avec un type

de batterie peut ne pas fonctionner avec un autre et engendrer un risque d’incendie.

b. N’utilisez que les batteries spécialement conçues pour l’outil. Utilisez un autre type de batterie peut

engendrer un risque de blessure et d’incendie.

c. Lorsque la batterie n’est pas utilisée, conservez-la à distance des objets métalliques comme

les trombones, pièces de monnaie, clés, clous, vis et tous les autres petits objets métalliques qui

pourraient entraîner une connexion entre les bornes de la batterie. Court-circuiter les terminaux d’une

batterie peut causer des brûlures et un incendie.

d) Dans des conditions abusives, du liquide peut être éjecté des batteries ; évitez le contact. En cas de

contact, rincez à l’eau. Si du liquide rentre en contact avec les yeux, demandez conseil à un

médecin. Le liquide éjecté des batteries peut causer des irritations et des brûlures.

6. Entretien

a. Ne faire réparer l’outil électrique que par un réparateur qualiﬁé utilisant uniquement des pièces de

rechange identiques. Cela permettra d’assurer la sûreté continue de cet outil électrique.

AVERTISSEMENT : il est impératif de suivre toutes les réglementations nationales de sécurité concernant

l’installation, le fonctionnement et l’entretien de l’appareil.

a) Il est interdit à toute personne de moins de 18 ans d’employer cet appareil. Tout utilisateur de

l’appareil doit être formé à l’utilisation d’une perceuse et doit connaitre les consignes de sécurité et les

instructions d’utilisation.

b) Les chargeurs de batterie sont pour un usage intérieur seulement. Assurez-vous que la source

d’alimentation et le chargeur soient protégés de l’humidité en permanence.

c) L’utilisation d’une perceuse demande le port d’équipements de sécurité tels que lunettes ou

visière de sécurité, casque anti-bruit et habillement protecteur tel que gants de sécurité. Portez

un masque protecteur adapté à la tâche. Un indice minimal FFP2 est recommandé. Si l’utilisation de cet

outil vous cause une gêne quelconque, arrêtez immédiatement et revoyez votre méthode d’utilisation.

d) Détectez la présence de câbles électriques et de conduites d’eau ou de gaz à l’aide d’un détecteur

de métal et de tension. Ne touchez pas les composants ou conducteurs électriques sous tension.

e) Assurez-vous de disposer d’un éclairage sufﬁsant.

f) Assurez-vous que les forets soient bien ﬁxés dans le mandrin. Les forets mal insérés peuvent être

éjectés de la machine et représentent un danger.

g) Assurez-vous que le foret ne soit pas en contact avec la pièce de travail avant de mettre la

perceuse en marche.

h) Avant de commencer le perçage, assurez-vous de disposer de sufﬁsamment d’espace libre sous la

pièce à percer.

i) N’exercez pas de pression sur l’appareil car cela réduirait sa durée de vie utile.

j) Les accessoires (mèches, etc.) pourront avoir atteint des températures élevées lors du perçage,

laissez-les refroidir avant de les manipuler.

k) Ne retirez jamais la sciure ou la poussière avec les mains à proximité de la mèche.

l) Si l’on vous interrompt pendant le perçage, terminez l’opération et éteignez l’appareil avant de

vous concentrer sur l’évènement.

m) Dans la mesure du possible, et s’il y a lieu, immobilisez bien la pièce de travail.

n) Examinez le mandrin régulièrement à la recherche de tout signe d’usure ou de dommage. Faites

réparer les pièces endommagées par un centre de réparation homologué.

o) Attendez toujours que la machine soit parvenue à un arrêt complet avant de la déposer.

p) Vériﬁez régulièrement que les écrous, boulons et autres dispositifs de ﬁxation soient bien serrés.

Consignes de sécurité relatives aux

chargeurs

Utilisation correcte du chargeur de batterie

• Reportez-vous à la section du présent manuel traitant de l’utilisation du chargeur de batterie avant de

commencer à charger la batterie.

• N’utilisez pas le chargeur pour d’autres batteries que celles fournies. Maintenez le chargeur propre car

les objets étrangers et la saleté peuvent entraîner un court-circuit ou boucher les oriﬁces de ventilation.

Le non-respect de ces consignes peut amener l’appareil à surchauffer ou à prendre feu.

• Si le cordon électrique est endommagé, il doit être remplacé par un centre agrée de réparation pour

éviter tout risque.

Attention : Ne rechargez pas une batterie non rechargeable.

Consignes de sécurité relatives aux

ATTENTION : Les batteries Li-Ion, si utilisées, rangées ou chargées incorrectement, représentent un

risque d’incendie, de brulure et d’explosion

• Gardez les batteries hors de portée des enfants.

• Ne rechargez les batteries Li-Ion qu’avec le chargeur fourni avec ou conçu spéciﬁquement pour votre

produit.

• Utilisez uniquement les batteries Li-Ion fournies avec le produit ou conçues spéciﬁquement pour être

compatibles.

• Laissez les batteries refroidir 15 minutes après toute recharge ou utilisation prolongée. Le non-respect de

ces consignes peut amener l’appareil à surchauffer ou à prendre feu.

• Lorsqu’elles ne sont pas utilisées, les batteries doivent être rangées dans un endroit sec proche de la

température ambiante (20 ˚C).

• Assurez-vous que les batteries ne peuvent pas se court-circuiter accidentellement pendant la période de

rangement. Gardez les batteries propres ; les corps étrangers ou la saleté peuvent causer un court-circuit.

• N’ouvrez pas, ne désassemblez pas, n’écrasez pas, ne chauffez pas à plus de 60°C et ne brulez pas. Ne

jetez pas les batteries au feu.

Usage conforme

Perceuse à percussion sans-ﬁl pour le vissage des vis et des opérations légères de perçage (y compris sur les

matériaux de maçonnerie).

Déballage

• Déballez le produit avec soin. Veillez à retirer tout le matériau d’emballage et familiarisez-vous avec

toutes les caractéristiques du produit.

• Si des pièces sont endommagées ou manquantes, faites-les réparer ou remplacer avant d’utiliser

l’appareil.

Avant utilisation

Retirer la batterie de la perceuse

• Pour enlever la batterie (12) de la perceuse, appuyez sur le clip de relâche de la batterie (13) puis faites la

glisser hors de la poignée (9).

ATTENTION : N’essayez pas d’enlever la batterie sans appuyer sur le clip de relâche de la batterie. Ceci

pourrait endommager la perceuse ou la batterie.

Insérer la batterie dans la perceuse

1. Pour insérer la batterie, faites la glisser sur la poignée (9) de la perceuse jusqu’à entendre le clic et que

la batterie soit bien ﬁxée.

Remarque : Assurez-vous que la batterie et la perceuse soient alignées correctement. Si la batterie ne glisse

pas facilement dans la perceuse, ne forcez pas. Retirez plutôt la batterie et vériﬁez que la partie haute de la

batterie et l’emplacement de la batterie dans la poignée sont propres et sans dommages et que les ﬁches de

contact ne soient pas pliées.

Brancher le chargeur

1. Si installée, retirez la batterie du chargeur (17).

2. Insérez la prise du chargeur dans une prise secteur adaptée.

Remarque : Le témoin LED vert (15) sur le chargeur clignotera pour indiquer que le chargeur est prêt à

charger la batterie.

ATTENTION : N’utilisez ce chargeur que pour charger la batterie fournie avec cet appareil ou des batteries

supplémentaires qui ont été conçues spéciﬁquement pour cet outil.

ATTENTION : Ce chargeur est conçu pour un usage intérieur uniquement, et ne doit pas être utilisé dans

des conditions humides ou mouillées.

Charger la batterie

ATTENTION : Ne pas suivre la procédure correcte de charge engendrera des dommages irréversibles.

Remarque : Le temps de charge normal est 1 heure pour une batterie récemment déchargée. Toutefois, si

la batterie (8) est restée déchargée pendant un certain temps, elle peut prendre jusqu’à une heure et demi

pour charger.

1. Glissez une batterie entièrement ou partiellement déchargée dans le chargeur (12).

Remarque : Assurez-vous que la batterie et le chargeur sont alignés correctement. Si la batterie ne glisse

pas dans le chargeur facilement, ne forcez pas. Retirez plutôt la batterie et vériﬁez que la partie haute de la

batterie et la fente de la batterie dans le chargeur sont propres et sans dommages et que les ﬁches de contact

ne soient pas pliées.

2. Une fois que la batterie commence à charger, le témoin LED rouge (16) s’allumera.

3. Lorsque la batterie sera complètement chargée seul le témoin vert restera allumé.

Niveau de charge de la batterie : La batterie dispose d’un témoin de charge (11), (Fig.I). En appuyant sur

le bouton sir la droite, l’état de charge de la batterie s’afﬁchera. La LED à droite indique un niveau de charge

haut et celle à gauche indique qu’il faudra bientôt recharger la batterie.

IMPORTANT : Lorsque le niveau de charge bas s’allume, il se peut que l’outil s’arrête d’un coup, ne pleine

utilisation. Cela peut parfois s’avérer dangereux. Il est conseillé de toujours s’assurer que le niveau de charge

de la batterie est sufﬁsant.

Remarques supplémentaires concernant la charge de la batterie

• La charge de la batterie doit se faire à température ambiante, entre 10 et 40° (idéalement autour de 20°).

• Après la charge, laissez la batterie refroidir pendant une quinzaine de minutes.

• Débranchez toujours le chargeur après utilisation et rangez-le correctement.

• Ne laissez jamais les batteries en charge pour de longues périodes, et ne rangez jamais des batteries

en charge.

• Le chargeur vériﬁe la température et la tension de la batterie lors de la charge. Retirez la batterie une fois

que la charge est terminée, aﬁn de d’optimiser les cycles de charge de la batterie et de ne pas gaspiller

de l’énergie.

• Les batteries peuvent devenir défectueuses avec le temps, les cellules de la batterie peuvent ne plus

fonctionner, ou la batterie peut se court-circuiter. Le chargeur ne charge pas les batteries défectueuses.

Utilisez une autre batterie pour vériﬁer que le chargeur fonctionne bien et remplacez la batterie si elle

est défectueuse.

• Ne laissez pas les batteries Li-ion rangées pour un certain temps si elles sont déchargées car cela peut

endommager les cellules Li-ion. Rangez les batteries Li-ion complètement chargées si elles ne vont pas

être utilisées pour un certain temps.

• La capacité des batteries diminue avec le temps. Après 100 cycles de charge, la durée d’utilisation de

l’appareil et la performance du couple maximum seront légèrement réduites. Cette diminution continue

jusqu’à ce que la batterie soit rechargée pendant 500 cycles, quand elle atteindra sa capacité minimale.

Ceci est tout à fait normal, ce n’est pas un défaut des batteries.

Installation des forets et des accessoires

ATTENTION : Retirez toujours la batterie avant de mettre, régler ou enlever un accessoire.

ATTENTION : N’essayez pas de de serrer un foret (ou accessoire) en tenant la partie avant du mandrin et

en mettant l’appareil en marche. Cela peut engendrer des blessures et endommager le mandrin.

AVERTISSEMENT : N’installez jamais de foret ou accessoire ayant une vitesse maximale inférieure à la

vitesse à vide de la machine.

1. Ouvrez les mâchoires du mandrin (1) en faisant tourner la partie la bague du mandrin (2) dans le sens

antihoraire.

2. Placez le foret ou l’accessoire dans le centre du mandrin.

3. Resserrez les mâchoires du mandrin en tournant la bague dans le sens horaire.

4. Une fois le foret ou l’accessoire bien serré, mettez en marche avec précaution pour vériﬁer le

positionnement de l’accessoire. Si l’accessoire est un peu lâche ou s’il ne tourne pas de façon régulière,

desserrez le mandrin, vériﬁez que l’accessoire soit en bon état et dans une bonne position avant de

resserrer. Refaites un test.

Instructions d’utilisation

Changer le sens de rotation

ATTENTION : Ne changez jamais le sens de rotation lorsque la machine est en marche. Ceci pourrait

causer des dommages permanents sur l’outil.

• Le sens de rotation se change en utilisant le bouton d’inversion du sens de rotation (7).

• Pour le sens de rotation antihoraire, poussez le bouton vers la droite.

• Pour le sens de rotation horaire, poussez le bouton vers la gauche.

Remarque : Lorsque le bouton est placé au centre, la perceuse est bloquée et ne peut pas être mise en

marche. Utilisez cette fonction de sécurité pour éviter les démarrages accidentels de la perceuse.

Réglage du couple

Remarque : La perceuse sans ﬁl est dotée d’un dispositif d’embrayage du couple aﬁn de sélectionner le

couple en fonction de la tâche à accomplir.

• Le réglage du couple est indiqué par les symboles se trouvant sur le sélecteur du couple (3).

• Faites tourner le sélecteur pour sélectionner le réglage souhaité : plus le nombre indiqué sur la bague est

grand, plus le couple produit sera important.

Sélection du régime

• Choisissez le régime 1 sur le commutateur du régime (8) pour un couple élevé, les vitesses basses sont

généralement utilisées pour des opérations de vissage.

• Choisissez le régime 2 sur le commutateur du régime pour un couple faible, les vitesses élevées sont

utilisées pour les opérations de perçage. N’utilisez pas les vitesses élevées pour les opérations de

vissage.

Remarque : Lisez toujours les documents fournis avec les forets et les accessoires pour connaitre leur vitesse

recommandée ou maximale et servez-vous du régime le plus approprié. Voir ‘Caractéristiques techniques’

pour la vitesse à vide maximale pour chaque régime.

Mettre en marche/arrêt

ATTENTION : Portez toujours les équipements personnels de protection lors des réglages et utilisation

de la machine.

1. Pour démarrer la perceuse, appuyez sur la gâchette (8).

2. Le guide de lumière intégré (10) s’allumera lorsque l’on appuie sur la gâchette.

Remarque : Si vous ne pouvez pas appuyer sur la gâchette, vériﬁez que le bouton d’inversion du sens de

rotation (7) ne soit pas dans la position du milieu, car cela bloque la perceuse (voir ‘changer le sens de

rotation’).

3. La vitesse de la perceuse est contrôlée par la gâchette : plus vous appuyez dessus, plus la vitesse est

importante.

4. Relâchez la gâchette pour arrêter la perceuse.

Utilisation en mode visseuse

Remarque : Utilisez toujours un porte-embout universel avec les embouts de tournevis. Ne jamais insérer un

embout directement dans le mandrin.

1. Sélectionnez le régime 1 avec le commutateur du régime (5).

2. Faites tourner le sélecteur de mode (4) sur visser

3. Sélectionnez toujours le réglage du couple approprié (voir réglage du couple).

• Ne vissez jamais en mode perceuse.

Remarque : Si vous avez un doute concernant le réglage du couple, commencez par le couple le plus petit et

augmentez le couple au fur et à mesure, si besoin est (comme par exemple pour une vis qui n’est pas assez

en profondeur dans la pièce de travail).

Percer la maçonnerie et le béton

1. Utilisez le régime approprié avec le commutateur du régime (5).

2. Sélectionnez le mode percussion avec le sélecteur du couple (3).

• Le mode percussion doit être utilisé pour percer dans la maçonnerie et le béton

• Exercez une pression modérée sur l’arrière de la perceuse, dans l’axe du foret.

• servez-vous de forets à maçonnerie uniquement. Assurez-vous que la taille du foret soit dans la plage de

capacité de la machine (voir ‘Caractéristiques techniques).

• N’exercez pas trop de pression. Si les débris bloquent le trou de perçage, faites marcher la perceuse

lentement et enlevez-le du trou. Répétez jusqu’à ce que le trou soit débouché.

ATTENTION : Le foret, et surtout sa pointe, deviendra très chaud lorsque vous percez la maçonnerie et le

béton. Ne touchez pas le foret et ne le faites jamais entrer en contact avec des matériaux inﬂammables.

ATTENTION : Ne respirez pas la poussière de maçonnerie. Portez une protection respiratoire adaptée. La

poussière de maçonnerie, béton et autres matières similaires est nocive et peut être toxique.

Perçage du bois

1. Utilisez le régime approprié avec le commutateur du régime (5)

2. Sélectionnez le mode perceuse

• Assurez-vous que le foret est adéquat au perçage du bois et vériﬁez la taille du foret avec la capacité

maximum de la machine (voir ‘Caractéristiques techniques’).

ATTENTION : Ne respirez pas la poussière créée par le perçage du bois. Portez des protections

respiratoires adéquates car la poussière peut être toxique.

Percer le métal

1. Utilisez le régime approprié avec le commutateur du régime (5).

2. Sélectionnez le mode perceuse avec le sélecteur du couple (4).

• Assurez-vous que le foret est adéquat au type de métal à percer, et vériﬁez la taille du foret avec la

capacité maximum de la machine (voir caractéristiques techniques).

• Pour un perçage plus précis, effectuez une marque avec un poinçon sur l’endroit à percer.

ATTENTION : Le foret et la pièce de travail en métal deviennent très chauds lors du perçage. Ne les

touchez pas ou ne les mettez pas en contact avec des matériaux combustibles. Utilisez toujours un lubriﬁant

ou un liquide de coupe, et percez avec une vitesse appropriée.

• Exercez une pression modérée sur l’arrière de la perceuse pour un perçage efﬁcace et augmenter la

durabilité du foret.

• Utilisez un fraisoir pour enlever les bords tranchants du trou aﬁn d’éviter les coupures ou autres

blessures.

ATTENTION : Si l’appareil devient excessivement chaud pendant l’utilisation, arrêtez immédiatement de

l’utiliser et laissez-le refroidir avant de recommencez à travailler avec. La période de refroidissement peut

être réduite en faisant marcher la perceuse à sa vitesse maximale à vide. Vériﬁez toujours que les oriﬁces de

ventilation du moteur (6) ne soient pas bouchés et ne laissez pas la poussière s’introduire dans les oriﬁces

de ventilation : la poussière, en particulier la poussière métallique peut endommager ou rendre l’appareil

hors service.

• Toute une gamme d’accessoires est disponible chez votre revendeur GMC, incluant divers forets et

embouts de tournevis. Des pièces de rechange peuvent être obtenues sur toolsparesonline.com.

Entretien

ATTENTION : Débranchez le chargeur de sa source d’alimentation avant de le nettoyer /entretenir. Retirez

la batterie pour effecteur l’entretien ou le nettoyage

Remarque : La perceuse et le chargeur ne possèdent pas de pièces réparables par l’utilisateur. Si l’appareil

ne fonctionne pas comme indiqué sur ce manuel, faites appel à un service de réparation GMC agréé

Inspection générale

• Vériﬁez régulièrement que les vis de ﬁxation soient bien serrées.

• Inspectez le câble d’alimentation de la machine régulièrement, avant chaque utilisation, pour tout signe

de dégât ou d’usure. Les réparations doivent être effectuées par un centre de service agréé GMC. Ce

conseil s’applique également aux rallonges utilisées avec cet outil.

Nettoyage

• Gardez l’appareil propre. La poussière et la saleté provoquent l’usure rapide des éléments internes de

l’appareil, ce qui réduit sa durabilité. Utilisez une brosse souple ou un chiffon sec pour le nettoyage. Si

possible, nettoyez les oriﬁces de ventilation à l’air comprimé propre et sec.

• Nettoyez le boitier de la machine avec un chiffon doux et humide.

• N’utilisez jamais d’agents caustiques sur les parties plastiques. Si un nettoyage sec ne sufﬁt pas, il est

recommandé d’utiliser un détergent doux sur un chiffon humide.
