Specication
WARNING:Always wear ear protection where the sound level exceeds 85dB(A) and limit the time of exposure
if necessary. If sound levels are uncomfortable, even with ear protection, stop using the tool immediately and
check the ear protection is correctly tted and provides the correct level of sound attenuation for the level of
sound produced by your tool.
WARNING: User exposure to tool vibration can result in loss of sense of touch, numbness, tingling and reduced
ability to grip. Long term exposure can lead to a chronic condition. If necessary, limit the length of time exposed
to vibration and use anti-vibration gloves. Do not operate the tool with hands below a normal comfortable
temperature, as vibration will have a greater effect. Use the gures provided in the specication relating to
vibration to calculate the duration and frequency of operating the tool.
Sound and vibration levels in the specication are determined according to EN60745 or similar international
standards. The gures represent normal use for the tool in normal working conditions. A poorly maintained,
incorrectly assembled, or misused tool, may produce increased levels of noise and vibration.

General Safety
WARNING Read all safety warnings and all instructions. Failure to follow the warnings and instructions may
result in electric shock, re and/or serious injury.
WARNING: This appliance is not intended for use by persons (including children) with reduced, physical
or mental capabilities or lack of experience or knowledge unless they have been given supervision or
instruction concerning use of the appliance by a person responsible for their safety. Children must be
supervised to ensure that they do not play with the appliance.
Save all warnings and instructions for future reference.
The term "power tool" in the warnings refers to your mains-operated (corded) power tool or battery-operated
(cordless) power tool.
1) Work area safety
a) Keep work area clean and well lit. Cluttered or dark areas invite accidents.
b) Do not operate power tools in explosive atmospheres, such as in the presence of ammable liquids,
gases or dust. Power tools create sparks which may ignite the dust or fumes.
c) Keep children and bystanders away while operating a power tool. Distractions can cause you to lose
control.
2) Electrical safety
a) Power tool plugs must match the outlet. Never modify the plug in any way. Do not use any adapter
plugs with earthed (grounded) power tools. Unmodied plugs and matching outlets will reduce risk of
electric shock.
b) Avoid body contact with earthed or grounded surfaces, such as pipes, radiators, ranges and
refrigerators. There is an increased risk of electric shock if your body is earthed or grounded.
c) Do not expose power tools to rain or wet conditions. Water entering a power tool will increase the risk
of electric shock.
d) Do not abuse the cord. Never use the cord for carrying, pulling or unplugging the power tool. Keep
cord away from heat, oil, sharp edges or moving parts. Damaged or entangled cords increase the risk
of electric shock.
e) When operating a power tool outdoors, use an extension cord suitable for outdoor use. Use of a cord
suitable for outdoor use reduces the risk of electric shock.
f) If operating a power tool in a damp location is unavoidable, use a residual current device (RCD)
protected supply. Use of an RCD reduces the risk of electric shock.
g) When used in Australia or New Zealand, it is recommended that this tool is ALWAYS supplied via Residual
Current Device (RCD) with a rated residual current of 30mA or less.
3) Personal safety
a) Stay alert, watch what you are doing and use common sense when operating a power tool. Do
not use a power tool while you are tired or under the inuence of drugs, alcohol or medication. A
moment of inattention while operating power tools may result in serious personal injury.
b) Use personal protective equipment. Always wear eye protection. Protective equipment such as dust
mask, non-skid safety shoes, hard hat, or hearing protection used for appropriate conditions will reduce
personal injuries.
c) Prevent unintentional starting. Ensure the switch is in the off-position before connecting to power
source and/or battery pack, picking up or carrying the tool. Carrying power tools with your nger on the
switch or energising power tools that have the switch on invites accidents.
d) Remove any adjusting key or wrench before turning the power tool on. A wrench or a key left attached
to a rotating part of the power tool may result in personal injury.
e) Do not overreach. Keep proper footing and balance at all times. This enables better control of the
power tool in unexpected situations.
f) Dress properly. Do not wear loose clothing or jewellery. Keep your hair, clothing and gloves away
from moving parts. Loose clothes, jewellery or long hair can be caught in moving parts.
g) If devices are provided for the connection of dust extraction and collection facilities, ensure these
are connected and properly used. Use of dust collection can reduce dust-related hazards.
4) Power tool use and care
a) Do not force the power tool. Use the correct power tool for your application. The correct power tool
will do the job better and safer at the rate for which it was designed.
b) Do not use the power tool if the switch does not turn it on and off. Any power tool that cannot be
controlled with the switch is dangerous and must be repaired.
c) Disconnect the plug from the power source and/or the battery pack from the power tool before
making any adjustments, changing accessories, or storing power tools. Such preventive safety
measures reduce the risk of starting the power tool accidentally.
d) Store idle power tools out of the reach of children and do not allow persons unfamiliar with the
power tool or these instructions to operate the power tool. Power tools are dangerous in the hands of
untrained users.
e) Maintain power tools. Check for misalignment or binding of moving parts, breakage of parts and any
other condition that may affect the power tool’s operation. If damaged, have the power tool repaired
before use. Many accidents are caused by poorly maintained power tools.
f) Keep cutting tools sharp and clean. Properly maintained cutting tools with sharp cutting edges are less
likely to bind and are easier to control.
g) Use the power tool, accessories and tool bits etc. in accordance with these instructions, taking into
account the working conditions and the work to be performed. Use of the power tool for operations
different from those intended could result in a hazardous situation.
5) Service
a) Have your power tool serviced by a qualied repair person using only identical replacement parts.
This will ensure that the safety of the power tool is maintained.
Hammer Drill Safety
Wear ear protectors when impact drilling. Exposure to noise can cause hearing loss.
Use auxiliary handle(s), if supplied with the tool. Loss of control can cause personal injury.
Hold power tool by insulated gripping surfaces, when performing an operation where the cutting
accessory may contact hidden wiring or its own cord. Cutting accessory contacting a "live" wire may make
exposed metal parts of the power tool “live” and could give the operator an electric shock
WARNING: If you suspect or discover asbestos is present in any area you are working seek professional advice
immediately. Removal of asbestos should be done by a licensed contractor. Contact the HSE in the UK (www.
hse.gov.uk) or your national health and safety authority in your country for further information about dealing with
asbestos. European Directive 2009/148/EC provides additional information related to exposure to asbestos
at work.
a) DO NOT allow anyone under the age of 18 years to use this tool, and ensure that operators are
qualied and familiar with the operating and safety instructions.
b) Use personal protective equipment (PPE) including safety glasses and protective clothing.
c) Wear respiratory protection suitable for the work being undertaken. A minimum rating of FFP2 is
recommended. If operating the tool causes discomfort in any way, stop immediately and review your
method of use.
d) Wear suitable protective anti-vibration gloves that are non-fabric or coated fabric to prevent loose
strands of material catching in the rotating drill bit. Discard gloves immediately if material is visibly
frayed.
e) Hammer drills produce a very high level of vibration when operating in hammer mode. Frequent
breaks are advised.
f) Use metal and voltage detectors to locate concealed electric, water or gas lines. Avoid touching live
components or conductors.
g) Extension cable reels used with this tool must be completely unwound. Minimum conductor cross
section: 1.0mm2.
h) When using this tool outdoors t a RCD (GFCI in USA and Canada) to the mains connection. Ensure
any extension cables used are suitable for outdoor use with water-resistant connections.
i) Ensure that the drill bit is securely xed in the chuck. Insecure drill bits can be ejected from the
machine causing a hazard.
j) Ensure that the lighting is adequate.
k) Ensure that the drill bit is in contact with the workpiece prior to starting up the tool.
l) Before drilling, check that there is sufcient clearance for the drill bit under the workpiece.
m) Use both hands when operating this tool.
n) DO NOT put pressure on the tool; to do so would shorten its service life.
o) Drill bits get hot during operation; allow to cool prior to handling them.
p) NEVER use your hands to remove sawdust, chips or waste close by the bit.

q) If you are interrupted when operating the drill, complete the process and switch off before looking up.
r) Where possible, use clamps or a vice to hold your work.
s) ALWAYS disconnect the hammer drill from the electric supply before changing a drill bit.
t) Examine the chuck regularly for signs of wear or damage. Have damaged parts repaired by a qualied
service centre.
u) ALWAYS wait until the drill has come to a complete stop before putting it down.
v) On completion of the work, disconnect the tool from the power source and remove bit from the
machine.
w) Periodically check all nuts, bolts and other xings and tighten where necessary.

Intended Use
Portable light duty corded impact drill suitable for drilling a wide range of materials, including masonry when using
the hammer mode function. Also compatible but not optimally congured for driving screws and fasteners.
Unpacking Your Tool
• Carefully unpack and inspect your new tool. Familiarise yourself with all its features and functions
• Ensure that all parts of the tool are present and in good condition. If any parts are missing or damaged, have
such parts replaced before attempting to use this tool
Before Use
WARNING: Ensure the tool is disconnected from the power supply before attaching or changing any
accessories, or making any adjustments.
Auxiliary handle
Note: The Auxiliary Handle (1) should always be used when drilling. Always hold the drill rmly with both hands.
1. Loosen the neck of the Auxiliary Handle by twisting the grip anti-clockwise
2. Fit the neck of the Auxiliary Handle over the Chuck (3) and Chuck Collar (4) onto the Auxiliary Handle Collar (5)
3. Tighten the Auxiliary Handle into position by twisting the grip clockwise until secure
Depth stop
1. Loosen the neck of the Auxiliary Handle (1) by twisting the grip anti-clockwise
2. The Depth Stop (2) will now be free to move. The offset end of the Depth Stop, should be positioned nearest
the Chuck (3)
3. Use the graduation markings on the Depth Stop, to accurately control drilling depth
4. To tighten the Depth Stop into position, twist the Auxiliary Handle clockwise until secure
Chuck operation
WARNING: Do not operate the drill to open or close the Chuck. Doing this will cause permanent damage to
the tool.
1. The keyless Chuck (3) can be opened by holding the rear of the Chuck Collar (4), and rotating the front of
the Chuck Collar anti-clockwise
2. Place the drill bit or accessory centrally in the chuck jaws. It is only necessary to open the jaws enough so
the bit slides in smoothly and remains in the centre before tightening
3. Tighten the Keyless Chuck by holding the rear of the Chuck Collar and rotating the front chuck ring
clockwise
Note: Do not use additional tools to tighten the chuck.
Operation
WARNING:ALWAYS wear eye protection, adequate respiratory and hearing protection, as well as suitable
gloves, when working with this tool.
On/Off Trigger
• To activate the drill, squeeze the On/Off Trigger (10)
• To stop the drill, release the On/Off Trigger
Trigger lock button
• The drill is equipped with a Trigger Lock Button (8). This allows the On/Off Trigger (10) to be locked into the
‘on’ position for tasks where holding the trigger continuously would not be possible. For example, when tted
to a drill press stand
• Depress the Trigger Lock Button after squeezing the On/Off Trigger to use the trigger lock function. The On/
Off Trigger can then be released and the drill will continue to run
• Squeeze then release the On/Off Trigger to stop the drill
Speed adjustment
• Rotate the Speed Control Dial (11) to set the maximum speed obtainable with the On/Off Trigger (10)
Drill Direction
WARNING: Do not attempt to move the Forward/Reverse Selector (7) whilst the drill is running.
WARNING: Do not attempt to run the drill with the Forward/Reverse Selector in the mid position.
• The direction of the drill can be changed using the Forward/Reverse Selector
• Push the Forward/Reverse Selector to the right to run the drill in a clockwise direction
• Push the Forward/Reverse Selector to the left to run the drill in an anti-clockwise direction,
Drill mode selection
WARNING: Do not attempt to move the Mode Selection Switch (6) whilst the drill is running.
• The drill can be used in either ‘hammer drill mode’ (for masonry work), or ‘conventional rotary drill mode’ (for
wood, metal etc)
• Slide the Mode Selection Switch to the left to select ‘hammer drill mode’
• Slide the Mode Selection Switch to the right to select ‘conventional rotary drill mode’
Drilling masonry and concrete
WARNING: The drill bit, especially the tip, will become very hot when drilling masonry and concrete. DO NOT
touch the bit and never allow it to come into contact with combustible materials.
WARNING: DO NOT inhale masonry dust. Wear adequate breathing protection. Dust from masonry, concrete
and similar is harmful and may be toxic.
• ‘Hammer drill mode’ should be used for drilling into masonry and concrete
• Apply moderate pressure to the rear of the drill, in line with the drill bit
• Use masonry drill bits only. Ensure the bit size is within the maximum capacity of the machine, see
‘Specication’
• Do not apply too much pressure to the hammer drill. If debris blocks the drill hole, run the drill slowly and
remove the bit from the hole. Repeat until the hole is cleared

Drilling wood
WARNING: DO NOT inhale wood dust. Wear adequate breathing protection. Some wood dusts may be toxic.
• Use ‘Conventional Rotary Drilling Mode’ only
• Ensure the drill bits are suitable for wood and are within the maximum capacity of the machine - see
‘Specication’
Drilling metal
WARNING: Never switch the machine to ‘hammer drill mode’ when drilling metal.
WARNING: The drill bit, especially the tip, will become very hot when drilling metal. DO NOT touch the bit and
never allow it to come into contact with combustible materials. Always use a suitable lubricant or cutting uid,
and drill at appropriate speeds.
• Use ‘Conventional Rotary Drilling Mode’ only
• Ensure the drill bits are suitable for the grade of metal being drilled, and are within the maximum capacity of
the machine - see ‘Specication’
• Mark the intended hole position using a hammer and centre punch to ensure accuracy
• Apply moderate pressure only to the drill bit, ensuring efcient cutting and prolonged drill bit life
• Use a countersink bit to remove sharp burrs from the hole, preventing cuts and other kinds of injury

Maintenance
WARNING:ALWAYS disconnect from the power supply before carrying out any inspection, maintenance
or cleaning.
General inspection
• Regularly check all the xing screws are tight
• Inspect the supply cord of the tool, prior to each use, for damage or wear. Repairs should be carried out by
an authorised GMC service centre. This advice also applies to extension cords used with this tool
Cleaning
• Keep the tool clean at all times. Dirt and dust will cause internal parts to wear quickly, and shorten the
machine’s service life. Clean the body of the machine with a soft brush, or dry cloth. If available, use clean,
dry, compressed air to blow through the ventilation holes
• Clean the tool casing with a soft damp cloth using a mild detergent. Do not use alcohol, petrol or strong
cleaning agents
• Never use caustic agents to clean plastic parts
• Water must never come into contact with the tool
Lubrication
• Slightly lubricate all moving parts at regular intervals with a suitable spray lubricant
Brushes
• Over time the carbon brushes inside the motor may become worn
• Excessively worn brushes may cause loss of power, intermittent failure, or visible sparking
• If you suspect that the brushes may be worn, have them replaced at an authorised GMC service centre
Storage
• Store this tool carefully in a secure, dry place out of the reach of children
Disposal
Always adhere to national regulations when disposing of power tools that are no longer functional and are not
viable for repair.
• Do not dispose of power tools, or other waste electrical and electronic equipment (WEEE), with household
waste
• Contact your local waste disposal authority for information on the correct way to dispose of power tools

Specicaties
WAARSCHUWING: Bij een geluidsintensiteit van 85 dB(A) of hoger is het dragen van gehoorbescherming
en het limiteren van de blootstellingstijd vereist. Bij oncomfortabel hoge geluidsniveaus, zelfs met het dragen
van gehoorbescherming, stopt u het gebruik van de machine onmiddellijk. Controleer de pasvorm en het
geluiddempingsniveau van de bescherming.
WAARSCHUWING: Blootstelling aan trilling resulteert mogelijk in gevoelloosheid, tinteling en een vermindert
gripvermogen. Langdurige blootstelling kan leiden tot chronische condities. Limiteer de blootstellingsduur en
draag anti-vibratie handschoenen. Vibratie heeft een grotere invloed op handen met een temperatuur lager dan
een normale, comfortabele temperatuur. Maak gebruik van de informatie in de specicaties voor het bereken
van de gebruiksduur en frequentie van de machine.
Geluid- en trillingsniveaus in de specicatie zijn vastgesteld volgens EN60745 of een gelijksoortige
internationale norm. De waarden gelden voor een normaal gebruik in normale werkomstandigheden. Een slecht
onderhouden, onjuist samengestelde of onjuist gebruikte machine produceert mogelijk hogere geluids- en
trillingsniveaus. www.osha.europa.eu biedt informatie met betrekking tot geluids- en trillingsniveaus op de
werkplek wat mogelijk nuttig is voor regelmatige gebruikers van machines.

Algemene veiligheid voor elektrisch
gereedschap
WAARSCHUWING Lees alle bediening- en veiligheidsvoorschriften. Het niet opvolgen van alle voorschriften
die hieronder vermeld staan, kan resulteren in een elektrische schok, brand en/of ernstig letsel.
WAARSCHUWING: De machine is niet geschikt voor gebruik door personen met een verminderde mentale
of fysieke gesteldheid of een gebrek aan ervaring, tenzij de persoon wordt begeleid of geïnstrueerd door een
persoon verantwoordelijk voor de veiligheid
Bewaar deze voorschriften voor toekomstig gebruik.
De term “elektrisch gereedschap” in alle hieronder vermelde waarschuwingen heeft betrekking op uw elektrische
gereedschap dat op de stroom is aangesloten (met een snoer) of met een accu wordt gevoed (snoerloos).
Kinderen mogen niet met de machine spelen
1) Veiligheid in de werkruimte
a) Houd de werkruimte schoon en zorg voor een goede verlichting. Rommelige en donkere ruimtes
leiden vaak tot ongelukken.
b) Werk niet met elektrisch gereedschap in explosieve omgevingen, bijvoorbeeld in de aanwezigheid
van ontvlambare vloeistoffen, gassen of stof. Elektrisch gereedschap brengt vonken teweeg die stof of
dampen kunnen doen ontbranden.
c) Houd kinderen en omstanders uit de buurt wanneer u elektrisch gereedschap bedient. Door aeiding
kunt u de controle over het gereedschap verliezen.
2) Elektrische veiligheid
a) De stekkers van het elektrische gereedschap moeten passen bij het stopcontact. Pas de stekker
niet aan. Gebruik geen adapterstekkers bij geaard elektrisch gereedschap. Het gebruik van
ongewijzigde stekkers en passende stopcontacten vermindert het risico op een elektrische schok.
b) Vermijd lichamelijk contact met geaarde oppervlakken zoals pijpen, radiatoren, fornuizen en
koelkasten. Het risico op een elektrische schok neemt toe als uw lichaam geaard wordt.
c) Laat elektrisch gereedschap niet nat worden. Wanneer elektrisch gereedschap nat wordt, neemt het
risico op een elektrische schok toe.
d) Beschadig het snoer niet. Gebruik het snoer nooit om het elektrisch gereedschap te dragen, te
trekken of om de stekker uit het stopcontact te trekken. Houd het snoer uit de buurt van hitte, olie,
scherpe randen of bewegende delen. Een beschadigde of in de knoop geraakte snoer verhoogt het risico
op een elektrische schok toe.
e) Wanneer u elektrisch gereedschap buiten gebruikt, maak dan gebruik van een verlengsnoer dat
geschikt is voor gebruik buitenshuis. Gebruik een verlengsnoer dat geschikt is voor gebruik buitenshuis
om het risico op een elektrische schok te verminderen.
f) Indien het onvermijdelijk is elektrisch gereedschap te gebruiken in een vochtige omgeving, gebruik
dan een energiebron met een aardlekschakelaar (Residual Currency Device). Het gebruik van een
RCD vermindert het risico op een elektrische schok.
3) Persoonlijke veiligheid
a) Blijf alert en gebruik uw gezonde verstand wanneer u elektrisch gereedschap bedient. Gebruik het
elektrisch gereedschap niet wanneer u vermoeid bent of onder invloed bent van drugs, alcohol of
medicijnen. Onoplettendheid tijdens het bedienen van elektrisch gereedschap kan leiden tot ernstig letsel.
b) Maak gebruik van persoonlijke bescherming. Draag altijd een veiligheidsbril. Passende bescherming
voor de omstandigheden, zoals een stofmasker, niet-slippende veiligheidsschoenen een helm of
gehoorbescherming, vermindert het risico op persoonlijk letsel.
c) Zorg ervoor dat het apparaat niet per ongeluk wordt gestart. Controleer of de schakelaar in de ‘uit’
stand staat voordat u de stekker in het stopcontact steekt. Het dragen van elektrisch gereedschap met
uw vinger op de schakelaar of het aansluiten op de stroom van elektrisch gereedschap met de schakelaar
ingeschakeld kan tot ongelukken leiden.
d) Verwijder alle stel- of moersleutels voordat u het elektrische gereedschap inschakelt. Een moer- of
stelsleutel die zich op een draaiend onderdeel van het elektrische gereedschap bevindt, kan leiden tot
letsel.
e) Reik niet te ver. Blijf altijd stevig en in balans staan. Zo houdt u meer controle over het elektrische
gereedschap in onverwachte situaties.
f) Draag geschikte kleding. Draag geen loshangende kleding of sieraden. Houd haren, kleding en
handschoenen uit de buurt van bewegende delen. Loshangende kleding, sieraden en los hangende
haren kunnen vast komen te zitten in bewegende delen.
g) Als er onderdelen voor stofafvoer- en stofverzameling worden meegeleverd, sluit deze dan aan en
gebruik deze op de juiste wijze. Het gebruik van deze onderdelen kan het risico op stof gerelateerde
ongelukken verminderen.
4) Gebruik en verzorging van elektrisch gereedschap
a) Forceer elektrisch gereedschap niet. Gebruik elektrisch gereedschap dat geschikt is voor het werk
dat u wilt uitvoeren. Geschikt elektrisch gereedschap werkt beter en veiliger op een passende snelheid.
b) Gebruik het elektrische gereedschap niet als de schakelaar van het apparaat niet in- en uitschakelt.
Elektrisch gereedschap dat niet bediend kan worden met de schakelaar is gevaarlijk en moet gerepareerd
worden.
c) Haal de stekker uit het stopcontact voordat u instellingen aanpast, toebehoren verwisselt of het
elektrische gereedschap opbergt. Dergelijke voorzorgsmaatregelen verminderen het risico op het per
ongeluk starten van het elektrische gereedschap.
d) Berg elektrisch gereedschap dat niet in gebruik is op buiten bereik van kinderen en laat mensen
die niet bekend zijn met het elektrische gereedschap of met deze instructies het elektrische
gereedschap niet bedienen. Elektrisch gereedschap is gevaarlijk in de handen van onervaren gebruikers.
e) Onderhoud uw elektrisch gereedschap. Controleer op foutieve uitlijning of het vastslaan van
bewegende delen, gebroken onderdelen en elke andere afwijking die de werking van het elektrische
gereedschap zou kunnen beïnvloeden. Indien het elektrische gereedschap beschadigd is, moet
u het laten repareren voordat u het weer gebruikt. Veel ongelukken worden veroorzaakt door slecht
onderhouden elektrisch gereedschap.
f) Houd snijwerktuigen scherp en schoon. Goed onderhouden snijwerktuigen met scherpe messen slaan
minder snel vast en zijn gemakkelijker te bedienen.
g) Gebruik het elektrische gereedschap, de accessoires en onderdelen, etc. volgens deze instructies
en volgens bestemming voor het specieke type elektrisch gereedschap, en houd daarbij rekening
met de werkomstandigheden en het uit te voeren werk. Gebruik van elektrisch gereedschap voor
werkzaamheden die verschillen van die waarvoor het apparaat bestemd is, kan leiden tot gevaarlijke
situaties.
5) Onderhoud
a) Laat uw elektrische gereedschap onderhouden door een gekwaliceerde vakman en gebruik alleen
identieke vervangstukken. Zo bent u er zeker van dat de veiligheid van het elektrische gereedschap
gewaarborgd blijft.
Boorhamer veiligheid
Draag bij het gebruik van een boorhamer gehoorbescherming. Langdurige blootstelling aan hoge
geluidsniveaus leidt mogelijk tot gehoorverlies/beschadiging
Hulphandvaten dienen, wanneer voorzien, te allen tijde gebruikt te worden. Controleverlies leidt
mogelijk tot persoonlijk letsel
Houdt elektrische machine te allen tijde bij de geïsoleerde handvaten vast, wanneer het boor bit
tijdens gebruik mogelijk in contact kan komen met elektriciteitsdraden. Het contact met elektriciteitsdraden
resulteert mogelijk in elektrische schok
WAARSCHUWING: Bij de aanwezigheid van asbest, tracht u onmiddellijk professionele hulp. Het verwijderen
van asbest dient uitgevoerd te worden door een geautoriseerd persoon. Neem contact op met uw lokale
autoriteit voor meer informatie betreft de verwijdering van asbest. De Europese richtlijn 2009/148/EG voorziet
informatie betreft de blootstelling aan asbest op de werkplek
a) Laat personen jonger dan 18 jaar de boorhamer niet gebruiken. Tevens horen alle gebruikers met de
gebruik- en veiligheidsinstructies bekend te zijn
b) Draag de geschikte beschermende uitrusting, waaronder een veiligheidsbril en beschermende
kleding
c) Draag een geschikt stofmasker. Een minimale waardering van FFP2 is aanbevolen. Wanneer het
gebruik van de machine enig ongemak veroorzaakt stopt u het werk onmiddellijk
d) Draag geschikte beschermende handschoenen, zonder deeltjes die door de roterende boor
gegrepen kunnen worden. Wanneer het handschoenmateriaal rafelt, gooit u de handschoenen weg
e) Boorhamers produceren hoge trillingsniveaus bij het gebruik inde hamerstand. Neem regelmatig
pauze
f) Gebruik metaal- en spanningszoekers voor het vinden van verborgen water- , gas- en/of elektrische
leidingen. Vermijdt het contact met componenten die onder spanning staan
g) Verlengkabels die in combinatie met de boorhamer gebruikt worden horen volledig afgerold te
worden. Minimale aderdikte: 1,00 mm2
h) Wanneer de boorhamer buiten gebruikt wordt, sluit u deze op een aardlekschakelaar aan. Zorg
ervoor dat verlengsnoeren geschikt zijn voor buiten gebruik en voorzien zijn van waterbestendige
aansluitingen
i) Zorg ervoor dat boor bits stevig in de spankop vast zitten. Losse bits kunnen losschieten en
ongelukken veroorzaken
j) Zorg voor voldoende verlichting

k) Zorg ervoor dat de boor in contact staat met het werkstuk voordat u de machine inschakelt
l) Controleer op voldoende ruimte voor de boor onder het werkstuk voordat u met het boren begint
m) Houdt de machine stevig, met beide handen vast
n) Oefen geen druk op de machine uit – dit kan de levensduur van de machine aanzienlijk verkorten
o) Boor bits worden tijdens gebruik erg heet. Laat ze na gebruik afkoelen
p) Verwijder zaagsel, houtstukken en ander hout afval nooit met uw handen
q) Wanneer u tijdens het gebruik van de boorhamer gestoord wordt, maakt u het werk af en schakelt u
de machine uit voordat u opkijkt
r) Klem het werkstuk wanneer mogelijk op uw werkbank vast
s) Ontkoppel de machine van de stroombron voordat bits gewisseld worden
t) Controleer de spankop regelmatig op tekenen van slijtage en/of schade. Beschadigde onderdelen
horen door een gekwaliceerd persoon vervangen te worden
u) Wacht met het neerleggen van de machine tot deze volledig tot stilstand is gekomen
v) Wanneer het werk voltooid is, ontkoppelt u de machine van de stroombron en verwijdert u het bit uit
de spankop
w) Controleer bouten, moeren en andere bevestigingsmiddelen regelmatig en draai deze wanneer
nodig aan

Gebruiksdoel
Draagbare boorhamer, geschikt voor het boren in verschillende materialen, waaronder beton bij het gebruik in

Het uitpakken van uw gereedschap
• Pak uw toestel / gereedschap uit. Inspecteer het en zorg dat u met alle kenmerken en functies vertrouwd
raakt
• Controleer of alle onderdelen aanwezig zijn en in goede staat verkeren. Als er onderdelen ontbreken of
beschadigd zijn, zorg dan dat deze vervangen worden voor u dit toestel / gereedschap gebruikt
Voor gebruik
WAARSCHUWING: Zorg ervoor dat de machine uitgeschakeld en ontkoppeld is van de stroombron voordat
u accessoires wisselt of aanpassingen maakt
Hulphandvat
Let op: Het hulphandvat (1) dient te allen tijde gebruikt te worden zodat de machine met beide handen stevig
vastgehouden kan worden
1. Draai de nek van het hulphandvat los door de grip linksom te draaien
2. Bevestig de nek van het hulphandvat over de spankop (3), over de spankop kraag (4) en op de hulphandvat
kraag (5)
3. Vergrendel het hulphandvat in positie door de grip rechtsom te draaien
Dieptestop
1. Draai de nek van het hulphandvat (1) door de grip linksom te draaien
2. De dieptestop (2) is nu vrij te bewegen. Het dunnere uiteinde van de dieptestop dient aan de spankop (3)
zijde te vallen
3. Gebruik de schaalverdeling op de dieptestop voor een nauwkeurige diepte instelling
4. Om de dieptestop in plaats te vergrendelen draait u het hulphandvat rechtsom
Spankop
WAARSCHUWING: Schakel de machine niet in voor het openen of sluiten van de spankop. Dit kan de machine
beschadigen
1. De spankop (3) kan geopend worden door de achterkant van de spankopkraag (4) vast te houden en de
voorzijde van de kraag linksom te draaien
2. Plaats het gewenste bit in de spankop. Open de spankop genoeg om het bit te plaatsen. De spankop dient
niet volledig open gedraaid te worden
3. Sluit de kaken door de achterkant van de spankopkraag (4) vast te houden en de voorzijde van de kraag
rechtsom te draaien
Let op: Gebruik geen bijkomende gereedschappen om de spankop vast te draaien
Gebruik
WAARSCHUWING: Bij het gebruik van de machine is het dragen van de geschikte beschermende
uitrusting, waaronder gehoorbescherming en beschermende handschoenen aanbevolen
Trekker schakelaar
• Om de machine in te schakelen knijpt u in de trekker schakelaar (10)
• Om de machine te stoppen laat u de trekker schakelaar los
Trekker schakelaar vergrendelknop
• De machine is voorzien van een aan-stand vergrendelknop (8). De trekker schakelaar kan in de aan-stand
vergrendelt worden voor werkzaamheden waarbij de trekker schakelaar voor langere tijd ingeknepen dient
te worden
• Druk de aan-stand vergrendelknop in terwijl u de trekker schakelaar ingeknepen houdt. De trekker schakelaar
kan los gelaten worden en de boor blijft ingeschakeld
• Knijp de trekker schakelaar in en laat deze gelijk weer los om de machine uit te schakelen
Snelheid verstelling
• Draai de snelheidscontroleschijf (11) voor het aanpassen van de rotatiesnelheid
Rotatierichting
WAARSCHUWING: Verplaats de rotatierichting schakelaar (7) niet wanneer de machine is ingeschakeld
WAARSCHUWING: Schakel de machine niet wanneer de rotatierichting schakelaar tussen standen in staat
• De rotatierichting van de machine is te veranderen met de rotatierichting schakelaar
• Duw de schakelaar naar rechts om de boor rechtsom te laten draaien
• Duw de schakelaar naar links om de boor linksom te laten draaien
Boorstand
WAARSCHUWING: Verplaats de stand keuzeschakelaar (6) niet wanneer de machine is ingeschakeld
• De boormachine kan ofwel in hamer- boorstand (voor metselwerk), ofwel in de rotatieboorstand (voor hout,
etc.) worden gebruikt.
• Om de hamer- boorstand te kiezen verschuift u de keuzeschakelaar naar rechts
• Om de conventionele boorstand te selecteren schuift u de keuzeschakelaar naar links
Het boren in metselwerk en beton
WAARSCHUWING: Bij het boren in metselwerk en beton wordt het boor bit (vooral de punt) erg heet. Raak het
bit niet aan en zorg ervoor dat het niet in contact komt met licht ontvlambare materialen
WAARSCHUWING: Betonstoffen (en andere soortgelijke stoffen) zijn mogelijk schadelijk en giftig en mogen niet
geïnhaleerd worden. Draag te allen tijde een geschikt stofmasker
• Bij het boren in metselwerk en beton gebruikt u de machine in de hamerstand
• Oefen een lichte druk op de achterzijde van de machine uit, in lijn met de boor

• Gebruik enkel beton boor bits. Zorg ervoor dat het boor bit binnen de maximale capaciteit van de machine
valt (zie: ‘Specicaties’)
• Oefen niet te veel druk uit. Wanneer het gat door afvalmateriaal geblokkeerd wordt, verwijderd u het
materiaal met een langzaam lopende machine. Wanneer het materiaal verwijderd is vervolgt u het boren
Het boren in hout
WAARSCHUWING: Houtstoffen zijn mogelijk giftig en mogen niet geïnhaleerd worden. Draag te allen tijde een
geschikt stofmasker
• Gebruik de machine enkel in de rotatieboorstand
• Zorg ervoor dat het boor bit geschikt is voor het boren in hout en binnen de maximale capaciteit van de
machine valt (zie: ‘Specicaties’)
Het boren in metaal
WAARSCHUWING: Schakel bij het boren van metaal nooit naar de hamerstand
WAARSCHUWING: Tijdens het boren van metaal worden het boor bit en het werkstuk erg heet. Raak het bit
niet aan en zorg ervoor dat het niet in contact komt met brandbare materialen. Maak te allen tijde gebruik van
een geschikt smeermiddel of boorvloeistof en boor op een geschikte snelheid
• Gebruik de machine enkel in de rotatieboorstand
• Zorg ervoor dat het boor bit geschikt is voor het boren in metaal en binnen de maximale capaciteit van de
machine valt (zie: ‘Specicaties’)
• Voor nauwkeurige boorresultaten markeert u het te boren gat met gebruik van een hamer en een priem
• Voor efciënt boren en een maximale gebruiksduur oefent u enkel een lichte druk op de machine uit
• Gebruik een verzonken boor om de scherpe randen van het gat te verwijderen en zo de kans op letsel te
verminderen

• Een breed accessoire aanbod, waaronder boor bits, schroef bits, komborstels etc. is verkrijgbaar bij uw GMC

Onderhoud
WAARSCHUWING: Ontkoppel de machine van de stroombron voordat u de machine schoonmaakt of enig
onderhoud uitvoert
Algemene inspectie
• Controleer regelmatig of alle bevestigingsmiddelen nog goed vast zitten. Door vibratie kunnen ze na enige
tijd los gaan zitten
• Inspecteer het stroomsnoer voor elk gebruik op slijtage en beschadiging. Reparaties dienen uitgevoerd
worden bij een geautoriseerd GMC service center. Dit geld tevens voor verlengsnoeren, gebruikt met de
machine
Schoonmaak
• Houd uw machine te allen tijde schoon. Vuil en stof doen de interne onderdelen snel slijten, wat de
levensduur aanzienlijk vermindert. Maak de machine met een zachte borstel of droge doek schoon. Gebruik
wanneer mogelijk zuivere, droge perslucht om door de luchtgaten te blazen
• Maak de behuizing met een vochtige doek en een licht schoonmaakmiddel schoon. Gebruik geen alcohol,
benzine of hardnekkig schoonmaakmiddel
• Gebruik geen bijtende stoffen voor het schoonmaken van plastic onderdelen
• De machine mag niet in contact komen met water
Smeren
• Smeer alle bewegende onderdelen regelmatig met een geschikt smeermiddel
Borstels
• Na verloop van tijd zullen de koolborstels in de motor verslijten.
• Bij overmatige slijtage van de borstels verliest de motor mogelijk vermogen, start het niet meer, en/ of
produceert het overmatig vonken.
• Wanneer u vermoedt dat de borstels versleten zijn, laat u deze bij een erkend servicecenter vervangen
Opberging
• Berg de machine op een droge en veilige plek, buiten het bereik van kinderen op
Verwijdering
Bij de verwijdering van elektrische machines neemt u de nationale voorschriften in acht.
• Elektrische en elektronische apparaten en accu’s mogen niet met uw huishoudelijk afval worden weggegooid
• Neem contact op met uw gemeente voor informatie betreffende de verwijdering van elektrisch gereedschap

Caractéristiques techniques
Attention : Toujours porter des protections sonores lorsque le niveau d’intensité est supérieur à 85 dB(A)

AVERTISSEMENT : Cet appareil n’est pas prévu pour être utilisé par des personnes (enfants y compris)
ayant des capacités mentales ou physiques réduites ou manquant d’expérience à moins qu’ils soient
supervisés ou qu’une personne responsable de leur sécurité leur donne des instructions concernant
l’utilisation de cet appareil.

Le terme « outil électrique » dans ces consignes concerne les outils branchés (laires) ou à batteries
(électroportatifs).
1. Sécurité sur la zone de travail
a. Maintenir une zone de travail propre et bien éclairée. Des zones encombrées et mal éclairées sont
sources d’accidents.
b. Ne pas utiliser d’outils électriques dans des environnements explosifs, tels qu’à proximité de
liquides, de gaz ou de poussières inammables. Les outils électriques produisent des étincelles
susceptibles d’enammer la poussière ou les vapeurs présentes.
c. Éloigner les enfants et les passants pendant l’utilisation d’un outil électrique. Ceux-ci pourraient vous
distraire et vous faire perdre la maîtrise de l’appareil.
2. Sécurité électrique
a. Les prises des outils électriques doivent correspondre aux prises du secteur. Ne modiez jamais
la prise en aucune façon. N’utilisez jamais d’adaptateur avec les outils électriques mis à la terre.
Des prises non modiées, adaptées aux boîtiers de prise de courant, réduiront les risques de décharge
électrique.
b. Éviter le contact corporel avec les surfaces mises à la terre telles que tuyaux, radiateurs, cuisinières
et réfrigérateurs. Le risque de décharge électrique est plus important si votre corps est mis à la terre.
c. Ne pas exposer votre outil électrique à la pluie ou à l’humidité. L’inltration d’eau dans un outil
électrique augmentera le risque de décharge électrique.
d. Ne pas maltraiter le cordon électrique. N’utilisez jamais le cordon électrique pour porter, tirer ou
débrancher l’outil électrique. Conservez le cordon électrique à l’écart de la chaleur, de l’essence, de
bords tranchants ou de pièces en mouvement. Un cordon électrique endommagé ou entortillé accroît le
risque de décharge électrique.
e. Au cas où l’outil électroportatif serait utilisé à l’extérieur, servez-vous d’une rallonge appropriée à
une utilisation en extérieur. Cela réduit le risque de décharge électrique.
f. Si une utilisation de l’outil dans un environnement humide ne peut être évitée, utilisez une
alimentation protégée par un disjoncteur différentiel. L’utilisation d’un disjoncteur différentiel réduit le
risque de décharge électrique.
3. Sécurité des personnes
a. Rester vigilant et faire preuve de sens lors de la manipulation de l’outil. Ne pas utiliser d’outil
électrique en état de fatigue ou sous l’inuence de drogues, d’alcool ou de médicaments. Un
moment d’inattention pendant l’utilisation d’un outil électrique peut se traduire par des blessures graves.
b. Porter des équipements de protection. Porter toujours des lunettes de protection. Le port
d’équipements de protection tels que des masques à poussières, des chaussures de sécurité
antidérapantes, un casque de sécurité ou des protections antibruit, selon le travail à effectuer, réduira le
risque de blessures aux personnes.
c. Éviter tout démarrage accidentel. S’assurer que l’interrupteur marche-arrêt soit en position d’arrêt
(Off) avant de brancher l’outil sur l’alimentation secteur. Porter un outil électrique tout en maintenant le
doigt posé sur l’interrupteur ou brancher un outil électrique dont l’interrupteur est sur la position de marche
(On) est source d’accidents.
d. Enlever toute clé ou tout instrument de réglage avant de mettre l’outil électrique en marche. Une
clé ou un instrument de réglage laissé xé à un élément en rotation de l’outil électrique peut entraîner des
blessures physiques.
e. Ne pas essayer d’atteindre une zone hors de portée. Se tenir toujours en position stable et conserver
l’équilibre. Cela permet de mieux contrôler l’outil électrique dans des situations inattendues.
f. Porter des vêtements appropriés. Ne pas porter de vêtements amples ou des bijoux pendants.
Les vêtements amples, les bijoux pendants ou les cheveux longs peuvent être happé par les pièces en
mouvement.
g. Si l’outil est pourvu de dispositifs destinés au raccord d’équipements d’extraction et de
récupération de la poussière/sciure, s’assurer qu’ils soient bien xés et utilisés correctement.
L’utilisation de ces dispositifs peut réduire les risques dus à la poussière.
4. Utilisation et entretien des outils électriques
a. Ne pas surcharger l’outil électrique. Utiliser l’outil électrique approprié au travail à effectuer. Un
outil électrique adapté et employé au rythme pour lequel il a été conçu permettra de réaliser un travail de
meilleure qualité et dans de meilleures conditions de sécurité.
b. Ne pas utiliser un outil électrique dont l’interrupteur marche-arrêt est hors service. Tout outil
électrique dont la commande ne s’effectue plus par l’interrupteur marche-arrêt est dangereux et doit être
réparé.
c. Débrancher l’outil électrique avant d’effectuer tout réglage, changement d’accessoire ou avant de le
ranger. De telles mesures préventives réduiront les risques de démarrage accidentel.
d. Ranger les outils électriques inutilisés hors de portée des enfants et ne pas permettre l’utilisation
de ces outils aux personnes novices ou n’ayant pas connaissance de ces instructions. Les outils
électriques sont dangereux dans les mains d’utilisateurs inexpérimentés.
e. Veiller à l’entretien des outils électriques. Vérier que les éléments rotatifs soient bien alignés et
non grippés. S’assurer de l’absence de pièces cassées ou endommagées susceptibles de nuire
au bon fonctionnement de l'outil. Si l’outil électrique est endommagé, le faire réparer avant toute
utilisation. De nombreux accidents sont causés par l’utilisation d’outils électriques mal entretenus.
f. Garder les outils de coupe affûtés et propres. Des outils de coupe bien entretenus, aux tranchants bien
affûtés, sont moins susceptibles de se gripper et sont plus faciles à contrôler.
g. Utiliser l’outil électrique, les accessoires et les outils à monter, etc., conformément à ces
instructions et selon l’utilisation prévue pour le type d’outil donné, en tenant compte des conditions
de travail et de la tâche à réaliser. Toute utilisation de cet outil électrique autre que celle pour laquelle il a
été conçu peut entraîner des situations à risque et entraînerait une annulation de sa garantie.
5. Entretien
a. Ne faire réparer l’outil électrique que par un réparateur qualié utilisant uniquement des pièces de
rechange identiques. Cela permettra d’assurer la sûreté continue de cet outil électrique.
Consignes de sécurité relatives à
l’utilisation d’une perceuse à percussion
ATTENTION : Portez des protections auditive lors de l’utilisation d’une perceuse à percussion.
L’exposition au bruit peut entraîner une perte d’audition.
ATTENTION : Utilisez les poignée(s) de protection lorsqu’elle(s) est (/sont) fournie(s) avec l’outil.
La perte de contrôle peut entraîner des blessures.
ATTENTION : Tenez l’outil par ses surfaces de préhension isolées lorsqu’il y a un risque que
l’accessoire de coupe rentre en contact avec des ls électriques cachés ou son propre câble
d’alimentation. Lorsqu’un accessoires de coupe rentre en contact avec un l sous tension les parties
métalliques de l’outil peuvent être mises sous tension et exposer l’utilisateur à un choc électrique.
ATTENTION : Si vous soupçonnez la présence d’amiante dans la zone de travail demandez conseil à un
professionnel immédiatement. L’enlèvement d’amiante doit être effectué par un professionnel agréé. Pour le
Royaume-Uni contacter le HSE (www.hse.gov.uk) ou l’organisme de santé de votre pays an d’obtenir des
informations concernant le désamiantage. La directive européenne 2009/148/CE donne des informations
supplémentaires concernant l’exposition à l’amiante dans le cadre du travail.
a) Il est interdit à toute personne de moins de 18 ans d’employer cet appareil. Tout utilisateur de
l’appareil doit être formé à l’utilisation d’une perceuse/marteau perforateur.
b) Utilisez un équipement personnel de protection comprenant des lunettes de protection et des
vêtements de protection. Portez une protection respiratoire adaptée lorsque vous effectuez un travail.
Il est recommandé d’utiliser une protection classée au moins FFP2. Si l’utilisation de l’outil entraîne une
sensation d’inconfort, arrêtez immédiatement et revoyez votre méthode d’utilisation.
c) Portez une protection respiratoire adaptée lorsque vous travaillez. Il est recommandé d’utiliser au
moins une protection FFP2. Si l’utilisation de l’outil cause une sensation désagréable arrêtez-vous
immédiatement et revoyez votre méthode d’utilisation.
d) Portez des gants de protection anti-vibration adaptés n’étant pas en tissu ou en tissu enduit
an d’éviter que des ls ne soient happés par des pièces en rotation. Jetez les gants eflés
immédiatement.
e) La perceuse à percussion produit un haut niveau de vibration lors de son utilisation en mode
percussion. Faites des poses régulièrement. Portez des gants anti vibrations n’étant pas en tissu ou en
tissu enduit an d’éviter que des ls ne soient happés dans l’embout en rotation. Jetez immédiatement des
gants abîmés.
f) Détectez la présence de câbles électriques et de conduites d’eau ou de gaz à l’aide d’un détecteur
de métal et de tension. Ne touchez pas les composants ou conducteurs électriques sous tension.
g) Toute rallonge électrique sur dévidoir éventuellement utilisée avec cet appareil doit être totalement
dévidée. La rallonge doit présenter un câble de section transversale d’au moins 1 mm².

h) Lors de l’utilisation de cet outil en extérieur, utilisez un disjoncteur différentiel (RCD) et une rallonge
de section transversale d’au moins 1,5 mm² ainsi que des prises électriques d’extérieur en bon état.
i) Avant de commencer le travail, vériez toujours que la mèche est correctement montée dans le
mandrin. Les mèches et les burins peuvent se trouver accidentellement éjectés de l'appareil et provoquer
des blessures graves.
j) Assurez-vous de disposer d’un éclairage sufsant.
k) Assurez-vous que le foret soit en contact avec la pièce à percer avant de mettre l’appareil en
marche.
l) Avant de commencer le perçage, assurez-vous de disposer de sufsamment d’espace libre sous la
pièce à percer.Tenez toujours cet outil à deux mains lorsqu’il est en fonctionnement.
m) N’appliquez PAS de pression sur l’appareil car cela réduirait sa durée de vie utile.
n) Les accessoires (mèches, etc.) pourront avoir atteint des températures élevées lors du perçage,
laissez-les refroidir avant de les manipuler.
o) Ne retirez JAMAIS la sciure ou la poussière avec les mains à proximité de la mèche.
p) Si l’on vous interrompt pendant le perçage, terminez l’opération et éteignez l’appareil avant de vous
concentrer sur l’évènement.
q) Dans la mesure du possible, et s’il y a lieu, immobilisez bien la pièce à percer.
r) Débranchez TOUJOURS l’appareil avant de changer tout de mèche.
s) Examinez le mandrin régulièrement à la recherche de tout signe d’usure ou de dommage.
Faites réparer les pièces endommagées par un centre de réparation agréé.
t) Attendez TOUJOURS que la machine soit parvenue à un arrêt complet avant de la déposer.
u) Une fois le travail terminé, débranchez l’appareil et retirez toujours l’embout de l’appareil.
v) Vériez régulièrement que les écrous, boulons et autres dispositifs de xation soient bien serrés.

Usage conforme
Perceuse à percussion pour tâches légères, convient pour le perçage d’un large éventail de matériaux dont la
maçonnerie lorsqu’elle est utilisée en mode percussion. Peut être utilisée pour des tâches de vissage, mais pas
de manière optimale.
Déballer votre produit
• Déballez le produit avec soin. Veillez à retirer tous les matériaux d’emballage et familiarisez-vous avec toutes
les caractéristiques du produit.
• Si des pièces sont endommagées ou manquantes, faites-les réparer ou remplacer avant d’utiliser l’appareil.
Avant utilisation
ATTENTION : Assurez-vous que l’outil est débranché avant d’installer ou de changer un accessoire ou
d’effectuer des réglages.
Poignée auxiliaire
Remarque : La poignée auxiliaire (1) doit toujours être utilisée lors de travaux de perçage. Tenez fermement la
perceuse avec les deux mains.
1. Desserrez le haut de la poignée auxiliaire en tournant la surface de préhension dans le sens antihoraire.
2. Faites glissez la poignée sur le mandrin (3) et le collier de serrage (4) et placez-la sur le collier de la poignée
auxiliaire (5).
3. Serrez la poignée auxiliaire en tournant la surface de préhension dans le sens horaire, jusqu’à ce qu’elle
soit xe.
Butée de profondeur
1. Desserrez le haut de la poignée auxiliaire (1) en tournant la surface de préhension dans le sens antihoraire.
2. La butée de profondeur (2) peut maintenant bouger. La partie avant de la butée de profondeur devrait être
positionnée près du mandrin (3).
3. Utilisez les graduations sur la butée de profondeur pour contrôler précisément la profondeur de perçage.
4. Serrez la butée de profondeur en position, resserrez la poignée auxiliaire en la tournant dans le sens horaire,
jusqu’à ce qu’elle soit xe.
Fonctionnement du mandrin
ATTENTION : Ne faites pas fonctionner la perceuse pour fermer ou ouvrir le mandrin. Cela peut entraîner des
dommages permanents sur l’outil.
1. Insérez la clé de serrage dans l’un des trous situés sur le mandrin (3).
2. Tournez la clé de serrage dans le sens antihoraire pour desserrer le mandrin.
3. Insérez complètement le foret désiré dans le mandrin et serrez-le en tournant la clé de serrage dans le sens
horaire.
Remarque : N’utilisez pas d’outil pour serrer le mandrin.
Instructions d’utilisation
ATTENTION : Portez TOUJOURS des lunettes de protection et des protections auditives ainsi que des
gants adaptés lorsque vous travaillez avec cet outil.
Gâchette marche/arrêt
• Pour faire fonctionner la perceuse, appuyez sur la gâchette marche/arrêt (10).
• Pour arrêter la perceuse, relâchez ma gâchette marche/arrêt.
Verrouillage de la gâchette
• La perceuse est équipée d’un verrouillage de la gâchette. Il permet à la gâchette marche/arrêt d’être bloquée
dans la position « marche » pour les tâches pour lesquelles tenir la gâchette appuyée n’est pas possible, par
exemple lorsque la perceuse est installée sur une colonne.
• Pour utiliser la fonction verrouillage de la gâchette, appuyez sur le verrouillage de la gâchette après avoir
pressé la gâchette marche/arrêt. La gâchette peut ensuite être relâchée et la perceuse restera en marche.
• Pressez puis relâchez la gâchette pour arrêter la perceuse.
Réglage de la vitesse
• Tournez la molette de réglage de la vitesse (11) pour sélectionner la vitesse maximale disponible avec la
gâchette marche/arrêt (10).
Sens de rotation
ATTENTION : N’essayez pas de pousser le sélecteur de marche avant/arrière (7) lorsque la perceuse est en
marche.
ATTENTION : N’essayez pas de faire fonctionner la perceuse lorsque le sélecteur de marche avant/arrière est
entre les deux positions.
• Le sens de rotation de la perceuse peut être modié en utilisant le sélecteur de marche avant/arrière.
• Poussez le sélecteur de marche avant/arrière à droite pour que la perceuse tourne dans le sens des aiguilles
d’une montre.
• Poussez le sélecteur de marche avant/arrière à gauche pour que la perceuse tourne dans le sens contraire
des aiguilles d’une montre.

Sélection du mode de perçage
ATTENTION : N’essayez pas de déplacer le bouton de sélection du mode (6) lorsque la perceuse est en
marche.
• La perceuse peut être utilisée en mode « percussion » (pour la maçonnerie) ou en mode « perceuse
conventionnelle » (bois, métal etc.).
• Poussez le bouton de sélection du mode vers la gauche pour sélectionner le mode « percussion ».
• Poussez le bouton de sélection du mode vers la droite pour sélectionner le mode
« perceuse conventionnelle ».
Percer la maçonnerie et le béton
ATTENTION : Le foret, en particulier sa pointe, deviendra chaud lors du perçage de maçonnerie et de béton. Ne
touchez pas the bout et ne l’approchez pas de matériaux inammables.
ATTENTION : Ne respirez pas la poussière de maçonnerie. Portez des protections respiratoires adéquates. La
poussière de maçonnerie, du béton et des matériaux similaires peut être toxique.
• Pour percer la maçonnerie et le béton, utilisez de préférence de mode « percussion ».
• Appliquez une pression modérée et dans le même alignement que le foret sur l’arrière de la perceuse.
• N’utilisez que des forets pour maçonnerie. Assurez-vous qu’ils correspondent à la capacité maximum de la
machine, (voir « caractéristiques techniques »).
• N’appliquez pas une pression trop importante sur la perceuse à percussion. Si des débris se coincent dans
le trou, faites tourner la perceuse doucement et retirez le foret du trou, répétez cette opération jusqu’à ce que
tous les débris soient évacués.
Percer le bois
ATTENTION : Ne respirez pas la poussière de bois. Portez des protections respiratoires adéquates. La
poussière de certains bois est toxique.
• Utilisez seulement le mode « perceuse conventionnelle »
• Assurez-vous que les forets sont adaptés au bois et qu’ils sont adaptés à la capacité maximale de la
machine (voir « caractéristiques techniques »)
Percer le métal
ATTENTION : Ne mettez jamais l’outil en mode « percussion » lorsque vous percez du métal.
ATTENTION : Le foret, en particulier sa pointe, deviendra chaud lors du perçage du métal. Ne touchez pas le
bout et ne l’approchez pas de matériaux inammables. Utilisez toujours un lubriant adéquat ou un liquide de
coupe et percez à une vitesse adaptée.
• Utilisez seulement le mode « perceuse conventionnelle ».
• Assurez-vous que le foret est adapté à l’épaisseur du métal à percer. Assurez-vous qu’il correspond à la
capacité maximum de la machine, (voir « caractéristiques techniques »).
• Pour assurer la précision du perçage, marquez la position du trou à percer en utilisant un marteau et une
pointe.
• Appliquez une pression modérée sur le foret an d’assurer une coupe efcace et une durée de vie du foret
prolongée.
• Utilisez une mèche conique pour ébarber le trou et prévenir les risques de coupure ou de blessure.

Entretien
ATTENTION : Débranchez TOUJOURS l’appareil avant d’effectuer une inspection, l’entretien ou le
nettoyage.
Inspection générale
• Vériez régulièrement que les vis de xation sont bien serrées
• Vériez l’état du câble d’alimentation avant chaque utilisation et vériez qu’il n’est pas usé ou endommagé.
Toute réparation doit être effectuée dans un centre technique GMC agréé. Ce conseil vaut pour les rallonges
utilisées avec cet outil.
Nettoyage
• Veillez à garder cet outil propre en permanence. La saleté et la poussière peuvent entrainer l’usure
prématurée des parties internes et raccourcir la durée de vie de l’appareil. Nettoyer l’appareil à l’aide d’une
brosse douce ou d’un chiffon sec. Si possible, utilisez de l’air propre et sec sous pression sur les orices
de ventilation.
• Nettoyez à l’aide d’un chiffon humide et un détergeant doux. N’utilisez ni alcool, essence ou de détergent fort.
• N’utilisez jamais d’agent caustique pour nettoyer des pièces en plastique
Lubrication
• Lubriez régulièrement les parties mobiles avec un vaporisateur de lubriant adéquat.
Balais
• Avec le temps, les balais de charbon du moteur s’usent. Ce processus d’usure est accéléré si la machine est
surchargée ou utilisée dans des environnements poussiéreux.
• Si les balais sont excessivement usés, le rendement du moteur peut diminuer, la machine peut ne pas
démarrer ou une quantité anormale d’étincelles peut être observée.
• Si vous soupçonnez une usure des balais, faites-les remplacer dans un centre d’entretien GMC agréé.
Rangement
Ranger cet outil dans un endroit sûr, sec et hors portée des enfants.
Recyclage
Lorsque l’appareil n’est plus en état de fonctionner et qu’il n’est pas réparable, recyclez l’appareil conformément
aux régulations nationales.
• Ne jetez pas les outils électriques, batteries et autres équipements électriques ou électroniques (DEEE) avec
les ordures ménagères.
• Contactez les autorités locales compétentes en matière de gestion des déchets pour vous informer de la
procédure à suivre pour recycler les outils électriques.
