GENERAL SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS
WARNING. Read all safety warnings and all
instructions. Failure to follow the warnings and instructions
may result in electric shock, fire and/or serious injury.
Save all warnings and instructions for future reference.
The term “power tool” in the warnings refers to your mains-
operated (corded) power tool or battery operated (cordless)
power tool.
1. WORK AREA SAFETY
a. Keep work area clean and well lit. Cluttered and dark
areas invite accidents.
b. Do not operate power tools in explosive
atmospheres, such as in the presence of flammable
liquids, gases or dust. Power tools create sparks which
may ignite the dust or fumes.
c. Keep children and bystanders away while operating
a power tool. Distractions can cause you to lose control.
2. ELECTRICAL SAFETY
a. Power tool plugs must match the outlet. Never modify
the plug in any way. Do not use any adaptor plugs
with earthed (grounded) power tools. Unmodified plugs
and matching outlets will reduce risk of electric shock.
b. Avoid body contact with earthed or grounded
surfaces such as pipes, radiators, ranges and
refrigerators. There is an increased risk of electric
shock if your body is earthed or grounded.
c. Do not expose power tools to rain or wet conditions.
Water entering a power tool will increase the risk of
electric shock.
d. Do not abuse the cord. Never use the cord for
carrying, pulling or unplugging the power tool.
Keep cord away from heat, oil, sharp edges or
moving parts. Damaged or entangled cords increase the
risk of electric shock.
e. When operating a power tool outdoors, use an
extension cord suitable for outdoor use. Use of a cord
suitable for outdoor use reduces the risk of electric shock.
f. If operating a power tool in a damp location is
unavoidable, use a residual current device (RCD)
protected supply. Use of an RCD reduces the risk of
electric shock.
3. PERSONAL SAFETY
a. Stay alert, watch what you are doing and use
common sense when operating a power tool.
Do not use a power tool while you are tired or under
the influence of drugs, alcohol or medication. A moment
of inattention while operating power tools may result in
serious personal injury.
b. Use safety equipment. Always wear eye protection.
Safety equipment such as dust mask, non-skid
safety shoes, hard hat, or hearing protection used for
appropriate conditions will reduce personal injuries.
c. Avoid accidental starting. Ensure the switch is in the
off position before plugging in. Carrying power tools with
your finger on the switch or plugging in power tools that
have the switch on invites accidents.
d. Remove any adjusting key or wrench before
turning the power tool on. A wrench or a key left
attached to a rotating part of the power tool may result
in personal injury.
e. Do not overreach. Keep proper footing and balance
at all times. This enables better control of the power tool
in unexpected situations.
f. Dress properly. Do not wear loose clothing or
jewellery. Keep your hair, clothing and gloves away from
moving parts. Loose clothes, jewellery or long hair can be
caught in moving parts.
g. If devices are provided for the connection of dust
extraction and collection facilities, ensure these are
connected and properly used. Use of these devices
can reduce dust related hazards.
4. POWER TOOL USE AND CARE
a. Do not force the power tool. Use the correct power tool
for your application. The correct power tool will do the job
better and safer at the rate for which it was designed.

b. Do not use the power tool if the switch does not turn
it on and off. Any power tool that cannot be controlled
with the switch is dangerous and must be repaired.
c. Disconnect the plug from the power source before
making any adjustments, changing accessories, or
storing power tools. Such preventive safety measures
reduce the risk of starting the power tool accidentally.
d. Store idle power tools out of the reach of children and
do not allow persons unfamiliar with the power tool
or these instructions to operate the power tool. Power
tools are dangerous in the hands of untrained users.
e. Always unplug your power tool when leaving
unattended. Such preventative safety measures
reduce the risk of starting the power tool accidentally
by untrained users.
f. Maintain power tools. Check for misalignment or
binding of moving parts, breakage of parts and
any other condition that may affect the power tools
operation. If damaged, have the power tool repaired
before use. Many accidents are caused by poorly
maintained power tools.
g. Keep cutting tools sharp and clean. Properly
maintained cutting tools with sharp cutting edges are
less likely to bind and are easier to control.
h. Use the power tool, accessories and tool bits etc.,
in accordance with these instructions and in the
manner intended for the particular type of power
tool, taking into account the working conditions and
the work to be performed. Use of the power tool for
operations different from those intended could result in
a hazardous situation.
5. SERVICE
a. Have your power tool serviced by a qualified repair
person using only identical replacement parts.
This will ensure that the safety of the power tool is maintained.
Additional Safety for Hammer Drills
For safety relating to protective clothing/equipment and
general health hazards relating to power tools; refer to
General and Electrical Safety sections in this manual
• Important: It is imperative to follow all national safety
regulations concerning installation, operation and
maintenance
• Use metal and voltage detectors to locate concealed
electric, water or gas lines. Avoid touching live
components or conductors
• Extension cable reels used with this tool must be
completely unwound. Minimum conductor cross section:
1.0mm2
• When using this tool outdoors, connect to a power
supply with an RCD device and minimum 1.5mm2
extension cable with water protected plugs in good
working order
• Ensure that the chisel or drill bit is securely fixed in
the chuck. Insecure drill bits can be ejected from the
machine causing a hazard
• Use both hands when operating this tool
• Always disconnect the hammer drill from the electric
supply before changing a chisel or drill bit
• Ensure that a chisel or bit is securely fixed in the chuck.
Insecure chisel and drill bits can be ejected from the
machine causing a hazard
• Examine the chuck regularly for signs of wear or
damage. Have damaged parts repaired by a qualified
service centre
• Always wait until the drill has come to a complete stop
before putting it down
• On completion of the work, disconnect the tool from the
power source and remove chisel/bit from the machine

The GMC SDSMHD1500 SDS Plus Hammer Drill is
supplied with the following accessories as standard:
• 1 x Point &1 x Flat Chisel (18 x 350mm)
• 3 x Drill Bits (6/18/20 x 280mm)
• Dust Protector Cap
• Pot of Grease
• Depth Stop
• Gearbox Pin Wrench
Unpacking
Carefully unpack and inspect your tool. Familiarise yourself
with all its features and functions.
Ensure that all parts of the tool are present and in good
condition. If any parts are missing or damaged, have such
parts replaced before attempting to use this tool.
Before Use
WARNING: Always disconnect the machine from the mains
power supply before making adjustments or changing
accessories.
Gearbox Care
IMPORTANT: Before first use and after every 6 hours
(approx.) of use, fill the gearbox cavity with gearbox
grease. A pot of grease is supplied for initial use. See
‘Gearbox Maintenance’ for application guidance
• Always check that there is sufficient grease in the
gearbox cavity before using the drill
Power indicator light
• The green Power Indicator Light (8) is illuminated when
power is available to the tool
Side handle
• The Side Handle (11) should always be used when
operating this tool
• The side handle can be adjusted to best suit the work to
be performed
• To adjust the side handle:
- Rotate the grip anti-clockwise. This will loosen the
handle assembly
- Move the side handle to the required position
- Secure in position by rotating the grip clockwise
Depth stop
• Loosen the Depth Stop Collar (3) locking screw to allow
movement backwards and forwards of the depth stop
• Tighten the screw to lock the depth stop at position
required
Operating the chuck
• This drill has a chuck designed for SDS Plus drill bits
• The SDS system allows the bit to move within the Chuck
(1). This means that it is unnecessary to tighten the
chuck around the bit
• Always grease the tail end of SDS bits; use pot of
grease supplied. Bits should be freshly greased and free
from dirt and dust before use
• To insert a drill bit:
- Pull back the Chuck Collar (2) and hold
- Insert SDS Plus drill bit fully into the chuck. Use a
twisting motion to line up the grooves in the
accessory
- Release the chuck collar
- The bit should now be locked into the machine.
Check by pulling the bit; if the bit can be
removed, repeat the above procedure until
secure

• To remove a bit from the chuck, pull the chuck collar
back, and pull firmly on the drill bit
• Be aware that it may not be possible to drill holes to
the same standards of accuracy as with a conventional
power drill. This is due to the small amount of ‘slack’
required in the SDS chuck to allow tools to move easily
WARNING: Never fit any attachment with a maximum
speed lower than the no load speed of the machine
Using the dust protector cap
• The dust cap can be used to give added protection
against dust and debris entering the SDS chuck
1. Place the cap over the shank of the bit and slide it
forward until it rests against the shoulder of the bit
2. Insert the bit into the SDS chuck as normal
Mode Selection
• The drill can be used in six different modes of operation
• To select the mode required, use the Rotation Selection
Dial (4) and Hammer Selection Dial (6)
• To use the mode Selection Dials (4 & 6), depress the
lock button on the side of each dial and rotate the dial to
the position required
• Do NOT attempt to move the mode selection dials whilst
the drill is running

Low speed, high torque for general drilling work
1. Align the Rotation Selection Dial (4) with the 1 symbol
2. Align the Hammer Selection Dial (6) with the symbol
High speed for precision drilling

Operating Instructions
IMPORTANT: Put on all safety equipment required before
you operate this drill
On/Off Trigger Switch
• Always hold the drill firmly using both hands
• To start the drill, squeeze the Trigger Switch (7)
• To stop the drill, release the trigger switch

Drilling Concrete
• Using hammer drill mode, apply pressure to the rear of
the drill, in line with the drill bit
• For efficient drilling, it is advisable to use TCT (tungsten
carbide tipped) drill bits. Ensure that drill bit size is within
the maximum capacity of the drill (see specifications)
• Do not apply too much pressure if debris blocks the drill
hole. Run the drill slowly, and remove the bit from the
hole. Repeat until hole is cleared
Drilling Wood
• Use rotary drill mode only
• Ensure that drill bits are suitable for wood, and are within
the maximum capacity of this drill (see specifications)
Drilling Metal
• To ensure accuracy, mark the intended hole position
using a hammer and centre punch
• Use rotary drill mode only
• Ensure that drill bits are suitable for the grade of metal
being drilled, and are within the maximum capacity of the
drill (see specifications)
• To ensure efficient cutting, and prolong drill bit life, use a
suitable lubricant or cutting fluid
CAUTION
• Applying excess pressure does not result in faster or
more efficient drilling. If the pressure applied to the drill
has a noticeable effect on the speed of the drill then
reduce the pressure. Overloading the drill will reduce its
service life
• As the drill bit penetrates the material being drilled, it
may ‘catch’ or ‘snag’. This can cause the machine to
suddenly ‘kick’, to prevent any possibility of injury always
hold the drill securely, use the side handle, and use
sharp drill bits
• Always ensure that material is secure. If appropriate use
a vice or clamp to hold the work, always keep two hands
on the drill
Maintenance
WARNING: Always remove the plug from the mains power
supply before carrying out any maintenance/cleaning.
Gearbox Maintenance
After every 6 hours of use (approx.), the gearbox must
be re-greased
1. Use the gearbox pin wrench to unscrew the Gearbox
Cover (5)
2. Use a spatula or similar instrument to apply general
machinery grease into the gearbox cavity until it is full. A
pot of grease is supplied with the tool
3. Be careful not to scratch or otherwise damage the
mechanism
4. Replace the Gearbox Cover (5)
NOTE: Do not over-tighten the gearbox cover or overfill the
gearbox with grease.
• If you run out of grease, or are not sure how to change
the grease, take your product to an authorised service
centre for advice
Cleaning
• Keep your machine clean at all times. Dirt and dust will
cause internal parts to wear quickly, and shorten the
machine’s service life. Clean the body of your machine
with a soft brush, or dry cloth. If available, use clean, dry,
compressed air to blow through the ventilation holes
Brushes
• Over time the carbon brushes inside the motor may
become worn
• Excessively worn brushes may cause loss of power,
intermittent failure, or visible sparking

• The red Carbon Brush Alert Light (9) will illuminate when
the brushes are worn down to 3mm thickness
• If the carbon brush alert light illuminates, have new
brushes fitted at an authorised service centre

Algemene veiligheidsregels
WAARSCHUWING Lees alle bediening- en
veiligheidsvoorschriften. Het niet opvolgen van alle
voorschriften die hieronder vermeld staan, kan resulteren in
een elektrische schok, brand en/of ernstig letsel.
Bewaar deze voorschriften voor toekomstig gebruik.
De term “elektrisch gereedschap” in alle hieronder vermelde
waarschuwingen heeft betrekking op uw elektrische
gereedschap dat op de stroom is aangesloten (met een
snoer) of met een accu wordt gevoed (snoerloos).
1) Veiligheid in de werkruimte
a) Houd de werkruimte schoon en zorg voor een goede
verlichting. Rommelige en donkere ruimtes leiden vaak
tot ongelukken.
b) Werk niet met elektrisch gereedschap in explosieve
omgevingen, bijvoorbeeld in de aanwezigheid van
ontvlambare vloeistoffen, gassen of stof. Elektrisch
gereedschap brengt vonken teweeg die stof of dampen
kunnen doen ontbranden.
c) Houd kinderen en omstanders uit de buurt wanneer u
elektrisch gereedschap bedient. Door afleiding kunt u
de controle over het gereedschap verliezen.
2) Elektrische veiligheid
a) De stekkers van het elektrische gereedschap moeten
passen bij het stopcontact. Pas de stekker niet aan.
Gebruik geen adapterstekkers bij geaard elektrisch
gereedschap. Het gebruik van ongewijzigde stekkers
en passende stopcontacten vermindert het risico op een
elektrische schok.
b) Vermijd lichamelijk contact met geaarde
oppervlakken zoals pijpen, radiatoren, fornuizen en
koelkasten. Het risico op een elektrische schok neemt
toe als uw lichaam geaard wordt.
c) Laat elektrisch gereedschap niet nat worden.
Wanneer elektrisch gereedschap nat wordt, neemt het
risico op een elektrische schok toe.
d) Beschadig het snoer niet. Gebruik het snoer nooit
om het elektrisch gereedschap te dragen, te trekken
of om de stekker uit het stopcontact te trekken. Houd
het snoer uit de buurt van hitte, olie, scherpe randen
of bewegende delen. Een beschadigde of in de knoop
geraakte snoer verhoogt het risico op een elektrische
schok toe.
e) Wanneer u elektrisch gereedschap buiten gebruikt,
maak dan gebruik van een verlengsnoer dat geschikt
is voor gebruik buitenshuis. Gebruik een verlengsnoer
dat geschikt is voor gebruik buitenshuis om het risico op
een elektrische schok te verminderen.
f) Indien het onvermijdelijk is elektrisch gereedschap
te gebruiken in een vochtige omgeving, gebruik
dan een energiebron met een aardlek beveiliging
(Residual Currency Device). Het gebruik van een RCD
vermindert het risico op een elektrische schok.
3) Persoonlijke veiligheid
a) Blijf alert en gebruik uw gezonde verstand wanneer
u elektrisch gereedschap bedient. Gebruik het
elektrisch gereedschap niet wanneer u vermoeid
bent of onder invloed bent van drugs, alcohol of
medicijnen. Onoplettendheid tijdens het bedienen van
elektrisch gereedschap kan leiden tot ernstig letsel.
b) Maak gebruik van persoonlijke bescherming. Draag
altijd een veiligheidsbril. Passende bescherming voor
de omstandigheden, zoals een stofmasker, niet-slippende
veiligheidsschoenen een helm of gehoorbescherming,
vermindert het risico op persoonlijk letsel.
c) Zorg ervoor dat het apparaat niet per ongeluk wordt
gestart. Controleer of de schakelaar in de ‘uit’ stand
staat voordat u de stekker in het stopcontact steekt.
Het dragen van elektrisch gereedschap met uw vinger
op de schakelaar of het aansluiten op de stroom van
elektrisch gereedschap met de schakelaar ingeschakeld
kan tot ongelukken leiden.
d) Verwijder alle stel- of moersleutels voordat u het
elektrische gereedschap inschakelt. Een moer- of
stelsleutel die zich op een draaiend onderdeel van het
elektrische gereedschap bevindt, kan leiden tot letsel.

e) Reik niet te ver. Blijf altijd stevig en in balans
staan. Zo houdt u meer controle over het elektrische
gereedschap in onverwachte situaties.
f) Draag geschikte kleding. Draag geen loshangende
kleding of sieraden. Houd haren, kleding en
handschoenen uit de buurt van bewegende delen.
Loshangende kleding, sieraden en los hangende haren
kunnen vast komen te zitten in bewegende delen.
g) Als er onderdelen voor stofafvoer- en
stofverzameling worden meegeleverd, sluit deze dan
aan en gebruik deze op de juiste wijze. Het gebruik
van deze onderdelen kan het risico op stofgerelateerde
ongelukken verminderen.
4) Gebruik en verzorging van elektrisch gereedschap
a) Forceer elektrisch gereedschap niet. Gebruik
elektrisch gereedschap dat geschikt is voor het werk
dat u wilt uitvoeren. Geschikt elektrisch gereedschap
werkt beter en veiliger op een passende snelheid.
b) Gebruik het elektrische gereedschap niet als de
schakelaar van het apparaat niet in- en uitschakelt.
Elektrisch gereedschap dat niet bediend kan worden met
de schakelaar is gevaarlijk en moet gerepareerd worden.
c) Haal de stekker uit het stopcontact voordat u
instellingen aanpast, toebehoren verwisselt of
het elektrische gereedschap opbergt. Dergelijke
voorzorgsmaatregelen verminderen het risico op het per
ongeluk starten van het elektrische gereedschap.
d) Berg elektrisch gereedschap dat niet in gebruik is
op buiten bereik van kinderen en laat mensen die
niet bekend zijn met het elektrische gereedschap of
met deze instructies het elektrische gereedschap
niet bedienen. Elektrisch gereedschap is gevaarlijk in de
handen van onervaren gebruikers.
e) Onderhoud uw elektrisch gereedschap. Controleer
op foutieve uitlijning of het vastslaan van bewegende
delen, gebroken onderdelen en elke andere afwijking
die de werking van het elektrische gereedschap
zou kunnen beïnvloeden. Indien het elektrische
gereedschap beschadigd is, moet u het laten repareren
voordat u het weer gebruikt. Veel ongelukken worden
veroorzaakt door slecht onderhouden elektrisch
gereedschap.
f) Houd snijwerktuigen scherp en schoon. Goed
onderhouden snijwerktuigen met scherpe messen slaan
minder snel vast en zijn gemakkelijker te bedienen.
g) Gebruik het elektrische gereedschap, de accessoires
en onderdelen, etc. volgens deze instructies en
volgens bestemming voor het specifieke type
elektrisch gereedschap, en houd daarbij rekening
met de werkomstandigheden en het uit te voeren
werk. Gebruik van elektrisch gereedschap voor
werkzaamheden die verschillen van die waarvoor het
apparaat bestemd is, kan leiden tot gevaarlijke situaties.
5) Onderhoud
a) Laat uw elektrische gereedschap onderhouden
door een gekwalificeerde vakman en gebruik alleen
identieke vervangstukken. Zo bent u er zeker van
dat de veiligheid van het elektrische gereedschap
gewaarborgd blijft.
Veiligheid voor boorhamers
Voor veiligheid met betrekking tot beschermende kleding
en algemene gezondheidsgevaren in relatie tot elektrisch
gereedschap, raadpleeg ‘Algemene veiligheid voor
elektrisch gereedschap’ in deze handleiding
• Belangrijk: Het is noodzakelijk de nationale
veiligheidsrichtlijnen met betrekking tot installatie,
gebruik en onderhoud te volgen
• Gebruik metal- en spanningszoekers voor het vinden
van verborgen water- , gas- en/of elektrische leidingen.
Vermijdt het contact met componenten die onder
spanning staan
• Verlengkabels die in combinatie met de boorhamer
gebruikt worden horen volledig uitgepakt te worden.
Minimale aderdikte: 1.0 mm2
• Wanneer de boorhamer buiten gebruikt wordt, sluit u
deze aan op een stroombron met een aardlekschakelaar

en gebruikt u verlengkabel met een minimale aderdikte
van 1,5 mm met waterdichte beschermende stekkers
• Zorg ervoor dat beitel of boor bits stevig in de spankop
vast zitten. Losse bits kunnen losschieten en ongelukken
veroorzaken
• Gebruik beide handen bij het gebruik van de boorhamer
• Ontkoppel de stekker van het stopcontact voordat bits
gewisseld worden
• Controleer de spankop regelmatig op tekenen van
slijtage en/of schade. Beschadigde onderdelen horen
door een gekwalificeerd persoon vervangen te worden
• Wacht met het neerleggen van de boor totdat deze
volledig tot stilstand is gekomen
• Wanneer het werk voltooid is ontkoppeld u de stekker
van het stopcontact en verwijdert u de beitel/ bit uit de
spankop
Accessoires
De GMC SDSMHD1500 schaafmachine wordt standaard
geleverd met de volgende accessoires:
• 1 x punt en 1 x platte beitel (18 x 350 mm)
• 3 x boor bits (6/18/20 x 280 mm)
• Stofkap
• Potje gereedschapsvet
• Dieptestop
• Pin moersleutel
Het uitpakken van uw gereedschap
Pak uw toestel / gereedschap uit. Inspecteer het en zorg dat
u met alle kenmerken en functies vertrouwd raakt
Controleer of alle onderdelen aanwezig zijn en in goede
staat verkeren. Als er onderdelen ontbreken of beschadigd
zijn, zorg dan dat deze vervangen worden voor u dit toestel
/ gereedschap gebruikt
Voor gebruik
WAARSCHUWING: Verwijder de machine van de
stroomtoevoer/stroombron voordat enige aanpassingen
gemaakt worden
Versnellingsbak
BELANGRIJK: Voordat de machine voor de eerste keer
gebruikt wordt en na elk ±6 uur gebruik hoort de holte
opgevuld te worden met vet. Een pot gereedschapsvet is
bijgeleverd. Zie ‘Versnellingsbak onderhoud’ voor meer
uitleg
• Controleer de hoeveelheid vet in de versnellingsbak holte
voor het gebruik van de boorhamer
Stroom indicator lampje
• Het groene indicator lampje (8) brand wanneer de
boorhamer voorzien wordt van stroom
Zijhandvat
• Het zijhandvat (11) hoort tijdens het boren te allen tijde
gebruikt te worden
• Het zijhandvat is verstelbaar voor een comfortabel
gebruik
• Om het handvat te verstellen:
- Draai het handvat linksom. Zo draait u het los
- Verplaats het handvat naar de gewenste positie
- Draai het handvat rechtsom om deze vast te zetten
Diepte stop
• Draai de dieptestop kraag (3) blokkerschroef los om voor-
en achterwaartse beweging toe te
• Draai de schroef vast wanneer wanneer de dieptestop
kraag in positive
De werking van de SDS Max spankop
• Deze boorhamer heeft een spankop geschikt voor
SDS-MAX boorbits en SDS-MAX beitels
• Het SDS-MAX systeem geeft de bits beweegruimte in de
spankop (1). Dit betekent dat het onnodig is de spankop
om de bits heen vast te zetten
• Zorg ervoor dat de voet van een boor bit vrij is van vuil en

stof, en ingevet is voor gebruik
• Het plaatsen van een boor bit:
- Trek de spankop kraag (2) naar achter en houd deze
in deze positie vast
- Plaats het SDS-MAX bit volledig in de spankop en
roteer tot de uitstulpingen in de inkepingen vallen
- Laat de spanklop kraag los
- Het bit hoort nu vast te zitten in de machine. Herhaal
de bovenstaande stappen wanneer het bit uit de
spankop te trekken is
• Om een bit te verwijderen trekt u de spankop kraag naar
achteren en trekt u stevig aan het bit
• Ben er van bewust dat het boren van gaten mogelijk
minder accuraat is dan die van een normale boorhamer,
door de vereiste hoeveelheid speling van de SDS-MAX
spanhuls
WAARSCHUWING: Bevestig geen beitels of boor bits met
een maximale snelheid, lager dan de onbelaste snelheid
van de machine
Het gebruiken van de stofkap
• De stofkap kan gebruikt worden voor het geven van
extra bescherming bij het binnendringen van stof in de
SDS-MAX spankop
1. Plaats de stofkap over het boorbit en schuif het naar
achteren tot het rust op de schouder van het bit
2. Plaats het boorbit in de spankop als normaal
Functie schakelaar
• De boorhamer kan in 6 verschillende standen gebruikt
worden
• Om een bepaalde stand te selecteren gebruikt u de
functieschakelaar (4) en de hamer selectie schakelaar (6)
• Om de schakelaars te (4 en 6) kunnen roteren drukt u de
blokkeerknop aan de zijkant van de schakelaars in
• Probeer de schakelaars niet te verzetten wanneer de
boor roteert

Aan-/uitschakelaar
• Houd de machine stevig met beide handen vast
• Om de machine te starten drukt u de trekker in
• Laat de trekker los om de machine stop te zetten
Boren in beton
• Gebruik de machine in de hamerstand en oefen druk op
de achterzijde van de machine uit, in lijn met het boorbit
• Voor efficiënt boren worden TCT boren gebruikt. Zorg
ervoor dat de maat binnen de maximum capaciteit van de
machine valt (zie specificaties)
• Wanneer het boorafval het gat blokkeert, laat u de
boorlangzaam draaien en beweegt u het op en neer tot
het afval verwijderd is
Boren in hout
• Gebruik de machine alleen in de rotatiestand
• Zorg ervoor dat de boorbits geschikt zijn voor het boren
in hout (Zie specificaties)
Boren in metaal
• Om zeker te zijn van nauwkeurig boren in metaal
markeert u het te boren punt met een hamer en priem
• Gebruik de machine alleen in de rotatiestand
• Zorg ervoor dat de boorbits geschikt zijn voor het te
boren metaal (Zie specificaties)
• Voor efficiënt boren en het langer behouden van
de kwaliteit van de boorbits gebruikt u een geschikt
smeermiddel
Beitelen
• Gebruik de rotatie-stop of rotatie-beitel stand, oefen druk
uit op de achterzijde van de boorhamer in lijn de beitel
• Let op: bij het beitelen is het risico op rondvliegende
splinters en ander materiaal groot
LET OP:
• Het uitoefenen van een grote druk op de achterzijde
van de machine geeft geen versneld of efficiënter effect
op het boren. Wanneer de snelheid van de boor lager
wordt hoort u de druk op de boor te verminderen. Het
overbelasten van de boor heeft een negatief effect op de
levensduur van de machine
• Tijdens het boren is de mogelijkheid daar, dat boorbits
vastraken in het materiaal waardoor de machine
plotseling slaat. Om ongelukken te voorkomen houd u de
machine stevig vast, gebruikt u het zijhandvat en gebruikt
u scherpe boorbits
• Zorg ervoor dat het te boren materaal goed vast staat,
bijvoorbeeld met behulp van klemmen, zodat de machine
met beide handen wordt vast gehouden
Onderhoud
WAARSCHUWING: Verwijder de stekker uit het stopcontact
voordat enige aanpassingen/schoonmaak wordt uitgevoerd
Versnellingsbak onderhoud
Na elk 6 uur gebruik van de machine hoort de
versnellingsbak gesmeerd te worden
1. Gebruik de pin moersleutel voor het losschroeven van de
afdekplaat (5)
2. Gebruik een spatel of een gelijkvormig voorwerp voor het
aanbrengen van het smeersel in de versnellingsbakholte
tot deze gevuld is. Een pot vet is verstrekt
3. Ben voorzichtig en kras of beschadig het mechanisme
niet
4. Plaats de afdekplaat (5) terug op de boorhamer
OPMERKING: Schroef de afdekplaat niet te strak vast en
stop niet te veel smeer in de versnellingsbakholte.
• Wanneer het smeersel op raakt, of wanneer u niet zeker
bent van het opvullen van de holte, breng het product
dan naar een bevoegd service center voor advies

Schoonmaak
• Houd uw machine te allen tijde schoon. Vuil en stof doet
de interne onderdelen slijten en vermindert de levensduur
van de machine. Maak de behuizing met een zachte
borstel of droge doek schoon. Gebruik wanneer mogelijk,
droge en schone perslucht om door de ventilatiegaten te
blazen
Koolborstels
• Na verloop van tijd verslijten de koolborstels in de motor
• Versleten koolborstels veroorzaken vermogen verlies,
intermitterende storing en/of zichtbaar vonken
• Het rode alarm lampje (9) brand wanneer de koolborstels
tot op 3 mm dikte zijn versleten
• Wanneer het rode lampje brand horen de koolborstels
vervangen te worden
Verwijdering
• Elektronische apparaten mogen niet met uw huishoudelijk
afval worden weggegooid
• Voor informatie betreffende het weggooien van elektrisch
gereedschap neemt u contact op met uw gemeente
