WARNING: Always wear ear protection where the sound level exceeds 85dB(A) and limit the time of exposure
if necessary. If sound levels are uncomfortable, even with ear protection, stop using the tool immediately and
check the ear protection is correctly fitted and provides the correct level of sound attenuation for the level of
sound produced by your tool.
WARNING: User exposure to tool vibration can result in loss of sense of touch, numbness, tingling and
reduced ability to grip. Long term exposure can lead to a chronic condition. If necessary, limit the length of
time exposed to vibration and use anti-vibration gloves. Do not operate the tool with hands below a normal
comfortable temperature, as vibration will have a greater effect. Use the figures provided in the specification
relating to vibration to calculate the duration and frequency of operating the tool.
Sound and vibration levels in the specification are determined according to EN60745 or similar international
standards. The figures represent normal use for the tool in normal working conditions. A poorly maintained,
incorrectly assembled, or misused tool, may produce increased levels of noise and vibration. www.osha.
europa.eu provides information on sound and vibration levels in the workplace that may be useful to domestic
users who use tools for long periods of time.
General Safety
WARNING Read all safety warnings and all instructions. Failure to follow the warnings and instructions
may result in electric shock, fire and/or serious injury.
WARNING: This appliance is not intended for use by persons (including children) with reduced,
physical or mental capabilities or lack of experience or knowledge unless they have been given
supervision or instruction concerning use of the appliance by a person responsible for their safety.
Children must be supervised to ensure that they do not play with the appliance.
Save all warnings and instructions for future reference.
The term "power tool" in the warnings refers to your mains-operated (corded) power tool or battery-operated
(cordless) power tool.
1) Work area safety
a) Keep work area clean and well lit. Cluttered or dark areas invite accidents.
b) Do not operate power tools in explosive atmospheres, such as in the presence of flammable
liquids, gases or dust. Power tools create sparks which may ignite the dust or fumes.
c) Keep children and bystanders away while operating a power tool. Distractions can cause you to lose
control.
2) Electrical safety
a) Power tool plugs must match the outlet. Never modify the plug in any way. Do not use any adapter
plugs with earthed (grounded) power tools. Unmodified plugs and matching outlets will reduce risk of
electric shock.
b) Avoid body contact with earthed or grounded surfaces, such as pipes, radiators, ranges and
refrigerators. There is an increased risk of electric shock if your body is earthed or grounded.
c) Do not expose power tools to rain or wet conditions. Water entering a power tool will increase the risk
of electric shock.
d) Do not abuse the cord. Never use the cord for carrying, pulling or unplugging the power tool. Keep
cord away from heat, oil, sharp edges or moving parts. Damaged or entangled cords increase the risk
of electric shock.
e) When operating a power tool outdoors, use an extension cord suitable for outdoor use. Use of a
cord suitable for outdoor use reduces the risk of electric shock.
f) If operating a power tool in a damp location is unavoidable, use a residual current device (RCD)
protected supply. Use of an RCD reduces the risk of electric shock.
3) Personal safety
a) Stay alert, watch what you are doing and use common sense when operatinga power tool. Do
not use a power tool while you are tired or under the influence of drugs, alcohol or medication. A
moment of inattention while operating power tools may result in serious personal injury.
b) Use personal protective equipment. Always wear eye protection. Protective equipment such as dust
mask, non-skid safety shoes, hard hat, or hearing protection used for appropriate conditions will reduce
personal injuries.
c) Prevent unintentional starting. Ensure the switch is in the off-position before connecting to power
source and/or battery pack, picking up or carrying the tool. Carrying power tools with your finger on
the switch or energising power tools that have the switch on invites accidents.
d) Remove any adjusting key or wrench before turning the power tool on. A wrench or a key left
attached to a rotating part of the power tool may result in personal injury.
e) Do not overreach. Keep proper footing and balance at all times. This enables better control of the
power tool in unexpected situations.
f) Dress properly. Do not wear loose clothing or jewellery. Keep your hair, clothing and gloves away
from moving parts. Loose clothes, jewellery or long hair can be caught in moving parts.
g) If devices are provided for the connection of dust extraction and collection facilities, ensure these
are connected and properly used. Use of dust collection can reduce dust-related hazards.
4) Power tool use and care
a) Do not force the power tool. Use the correct power tool for your application. The correct power tool
will do the job better and safer at the rate for which it was designed.
b) Do not use the power tool if the switch does not turn it on and off. Any power tool that cannot be
controlled with the switch is dangerous and must be repaired.
c) Disconnect the plug from the power source and/or the battery pack from the power tool before
making any adjustments, changing accessories, or storing power tools. Such preventive safety
measures reduce the risk of starting the power tool accidentally.
d) Store idle power tools out of the reach of children and do not allow persons unfamiliar with the
power tool or these instructions to operate the power tool. Power tools are dangerous in the hands of
untrained users.
e) Maintain power tools. Check for misalignment or binding of moving parts, breakage of parts and
any other condition that may affect the power tool’s operation. If damaged, have the power tool
repaired before use. Many accidents are caused by poorly maintained power tools.
f) Keep cutting tools sharp and clean. Properly maintained cutting tools with sharp cutting edges are less
likely to bind and are easier to control.
g) Use the power tool, accessories and tool bits etc. in accordance with these instructions, taking
into account the working conditions and the work to be performed. Use of the power tool for
operations different from those intended could result in a hazardous situation.
5) Service
a) Have your power tool serviced by a qualified repair person using only identical replacement parts.
This will ensure that the safety of the power tool is maintained.
WARNING: Before connecting a tool to a power source (mains switch power point receptacle, outlet, etc.) be
sure that the voltage supply is the same as that specified on the nameplate of the tool. A power source with
a voltage greater than that specified for the tool can result in serious injury to the user, and damage to the
tool. If in doubt, do not plug in the tool. Using a power source with a voltage less than the nameplate rating is
harmful to the motor.
Multi-Tool Safety
General safety advice for multi-purpose hand held cordless and corded tools including both rotating and
oscillating types.
WARNING: Contact with electric or gas lines can lead to fire, electric shock and explosions. Penetrating a
water line can result in damage to property and electric shock. Use appropriate detectors to determine if utility
lines are hidden in the work area. Always be extremely careful when making blind and pocket cuts where the
exit point of the blade or accessory at the other side of the material cannot be seen.
WARNING: Asbestos may be in materials and textured coatings in older properties and should be treated
with extreme caution. If you suspect or discover asbestos consult your local health and safety authority
immediately for advice on its removal. It may require the services of a specialist asbestos removal company.
WARNING: If a cutting accessory makes contact with a ‘live’ wire, the exposed metal parts of the power
tool may become ‘live’ and could give the operator an electric shock. Hold the power tool by the insulated
gripping surfaces at all times during use.
WARNING: DO NOT work with damp or wet materials or accessories that require liquid coolants. Liquids
entering the body of the tool is an electrical hazard as well as likely to destroy the tool.
WARNING: The dust produced from working with some materials can be toxic. Beech, oak, mahogany
and teak natural woods, man-made composite woods and some surface treatments including paint with lead
are toxic. Lead based paint is common in buildings pre 1960.Always wear suitable respiratory protection for
example a respirator face mask. Ideally also use a dust extraction system or regularly vacuum the work area
to prevent the build-up of dust and do a final vacuum after the work is completed. Most dust is a fire hazard.
Overhead work surfaces have an increased safety risk for dust.
a) Wear protective, cut-proof gloves when changing blades and accessories. Some blades and
accessories can be very sharp. Scraper blades sharpen as they are used. Blades and accessories shortly
after use can be very hot, allow to cool.
b) Keep your workplace clean. Dusts created from different materials including woods and metals can be
highly flammable. Dust from light alloys including magnesium can burn or explode easily.

c) DO NOT treat the work surface with fluids containing solvents. If such fluids become warm from
scraping, toxic vapours may be produced, or surfaces may catch fire.
WARNING: NEVER fit any blade or accessory with a maximum speed lower than the no load speed of
the power tool.
d) ONLY change accessories and blades or perform maintenance with the tool disconnected from its
power supply, either mains connection or battery. If the tool features a captive battery in a charged
state take extra care not to switch it on accidentally when changing accessories or blades.
e) ALWAYS use accessories or blades that are approved by the manufacturer or meet the
specification of your power tool, this includes being compatible in size and speed. DO NOT try to
cut material thicker than the capacity stated in the specification.
f) ONLY use an adapter for using different accessories or blades if the adapter is specifically
designed and approved by the manufacturer of your power tool.
g) DO NOT modify accessories or blades so they work with power tools they were not intended to
work with or for uses that they were never designed for.
h) DO NOT use accessories or blades that are damaged, bent, chipped, cracked, heavily corroded
or excessively worn. Such accessories can break apart in use causing injury to the operator.ALWAYS
inspect accessories or blades before use and discard immediately if not in good condition. NEVER use
blades that are worn to a dull edge. ALWAYS use sharp blades.
i) ALWAYS ensure all accessories or blades are securely attached to the tool before use and the
securing tool is removed prior to use.
j) DO NOT attempt to free a jammed blade or accessory until the power tool has been disconnected
from power.
k) Inspect the workpiece before use to make sure it is in the correct condition for the fitted
accessory or blade. Remove all nails, staples and other embedded objects prior to starting work.
l) Any freely movable workpieces should be secured with a clamp or vice before starting work.
m) ALWAYS ensure that the lighting is adequate in the work area. Never remove your safety goggles or
glasses to improve your view instead increase the level of lighting or move the lighting so it specifically
illuminates the work area correctly.
n) DO NOT operate the power tool near flammable materials. Be especially careful when cutting wood
and metal. Sparks from metal cutting are a common cause of wood dust fires.
o) Battery chargers are for indoors use only. Ensure that the power supply and charger are protected
against moisture at all times.
p) NEVER start the power tool while the blade or accessory is in contact with the workpiece, and
always allow the power tool to reach its full speed before making contact with the workpiece. Use
the variable speed control of the tool (if fitted) to start the tool at the correct speed for the accessory or
blade fitted.
q) DO NOT exert additional pressure on the body of the tool: allow the blade or accessory to do the
work. By not exerting additional pressure you maintain a safer stronger grip on the power tool when it
breaks through the material, as well as reducing wear on the power tool which will extend the power
tool’s service life. Additional pressure may also bend or twist the accessory or blade which may cause
it to break and cause injury. If the power tool allows for being held with one or two hands hold with two
hands whenever possible. ALWAYS exercise caution when handling this power tool.
r) Sawing, cutting and abrasive actions create heat. This may affect the workpiece and power tool.
ALWAYS monitor the heat level and in the event of excessive heat switch off the power tool and allow to
cool before restarting work. Some power tools depending on design may be more quickly and effectively
cooled by running at high speed without load.
s) The power tool will draw in dust through the vents on its body. Excessive accumulation of powdered
metal may cause an electrical hazard and destroy the tool. ALWAYS ensure the environment dust level is
safe for the tool and ensure the vents are not blocked.
t) For mains-operated power tools, ensure the cable of the power tool is ALWAYS kept behind the
tool and never close to where the accessory or blade is operating.
u) DO NOT reach under the workpiece, rest the workpiece on your body, or hold the workpiece while
working on it, as contact with the blade or accessory protruding from the workpiece can result in
serious injury.
v) Anti-vibration gloves should be worn when operating power tools that produce large amount of
vibration, especially during long-term use.
w) For power tools with a rotating mechanism and accessories ensure the operator is not wearing
clothes or gloves with frayed threads, cords etc. that could be entangled in the rotating
mechanism dragging the operator’s hand into the rotating accessory causing injury. ALWAYS wear
tight fitting work clothes, safety shoes. Remove jewellery and secure long hair. NEVER wear fabric-based
gloves that can produce strands of material when operating this type of power tool.
x) DO NOT allow sanding sheets to wear away on the sanding pad. This will damage the surface of the
pad requiring replacement and may cause parts of the sanding sheet to fly off the pad, causing operator
injury.
y) DO NOT touch the moving sanding sheet.
z) Wire brush bristles are thrown by the brush even during ordinary operation. DO NOT overstress the
wires by applying excessive load to the brush. The wire bristles can easily penetrate light clothing and
skin.
Note: The tool must ONLY be used for its intended purpose. Any use other than those mentioned in this
manual will be considered a case of misuse. The operator, and not the manufacturer, shall be liable for
any damage or injury resulting from such cases of misuse. The manufacturer shall not be liable for any
modifications made to the tool, nor for any damage resulting from such modifications.

Intended Use
Oscillating multi-tool with quick tool change mechanism, designed for cutting and abrasive tasks by fast
oscillation of a blade, file or sanding pad.
Unpacking your Tool
• Carefully unpack and inspect your tool. Fully familiarise yourself with all its features and functions
• Ensure that all parts of the tool are present and in good condition. If any parts are missing or damaged,
have such parts replaced before attempting to use this tool
Before Use
WARNING: Always ensure that the tool is switched off and the plug is removed from the power supply,
before fitting or removing accessories.
WARNING: Always wear suitable gloves when handling blades or other sharp accessories.
Fitting the dust extractor
Note: This Keyless Oscillating Multi-Tool is designed to be connected to a household vacuum cleaner hose or
workshop dust extraction system. This is the preferred and most effective method of dust extraction.
WARNING: ALWAYS ensure that the tool is switched off and disconnected from the power supply before
attaching or removing any accessories.
WARNING: ALWAYS connect the Keyless Oscillating Multi-Tool to a suitable vacuum cleaner or workshop
dust extraction system if the sanding dust contains harmful substances, such as particles from old paint,
varnish, surface coatings etc. ALWAYS dispose of harmful dust according to laws and regulations.
WARNING: Take special care to guard against harmful and toxic dusts when sanding lead-based painted
surfaces, woods and metals, particularly if you are unsure about the exact substances involved. All persons
entering the work area must wear a mask specially designed for protection against the toxic dust and fumes

involved. Children and pregnant women MUST NOT enter the work area. DO NOT eat, drink or smoke in the
work area.
1. Push the tapered end of the Dust Extraction Collar on to the head of the tool so that it ‘clips’ into place
(Image B)
2. Slide the clip, located above the Dust Extraction port (7) into the groove, located below the power cord
(Image C)
3. Push a suitable vacuum hose on to the Dust Extraction Port
• The Dust Extraction Port is designed to fit a standard 32mm diameter hose
• For work in confined spaces, the Dust Extraction Port can easily be removed:
1. Remove any tools installed (see ‘Fitting a blade or scraper’)
2. Push the rear of the Dust Extraction Port (7) sideways to remove
Fitting a blade or scraper
1. Lift the Tool Change Lever (3) and push forward to disengage the clamping mechanism
Note: This requires some strength.
2. Fit a compatible blade or tool under the flange
3. Ensure correct orientation of the blade, so it sits within the locating pins on the flange
4. Tilt the Tool Change Lever into the original, closed position
5. Ensure the blade is securely fastened
Note: Blades or scrapers that are cranked or bent must be mounted on the tool so that the end of the blade
sits facing away from the machine (Image A)
Fitting the sanding pad and sanding sheets
1. Fit the hook and loop sanding pad by following the instructions under ‘Fitting a blade or scraper’
2. Select the required sanding sheet for your intended task (see ‘Selecting the right grade of sanding sheet’
below)
3. The Sanding Pad and sanding sheets use a hook and loop system for attachment. To mount the sheet
carefully line up one corner of the sheet with a corner of the Sanding Pad and gradually push the rest of
the sheet on to the pad, checking alignment as you do so, until the sheet is fitted correctly
Selecting the right grade of sanding sheet
• Sanding sheets are available in a variety of different grades: coarse (60 grit), medium
(120 grit) and fine (240 grit)
• Use a coarse grit to sand down rough finishes, medium grit to smooth the work, and fine grit to finish off
• Always use good quality sanding sheets to maximise the quality of the finished task
• It is advisable to do a trial run on a scrap piece of material to determine the optimum grades of sandpaper
for a particular job. If there are still marks on your work after sanding, try either going back to a coarser
grade and sanding the marks out before recommencing with the original choice of grit, or try using a new
piece of sandpaper to eliminate the unwanted marks before going on to a finer grit and finishing the job
Operation
WARNING: ALWAYS wear adequate personal protection equipment, including eye, hearing and
respiratory protection, when working with this tool.
WARNING: Anti-vibration gloves should be worn when operating this tool, to protect users from the
effects of vibration produced by the tool.
Switching on and off
1. Hold the tool firmly by the Grip (6), with the thumb over the On/Off Switch (4)
2. Slide the On/Off Switch forward until it locks, to switch the tool on
3. Slide the On/Off Switch backwards, to switch the tool off
WARNING: Allow the tool to reach the required speed before making contact with the workpiece.
WARNING: Motor vents allow heat generated from the motor to escape the body of the tool and must
not become blocked. Dust, wood chippings and swarf can block the motor vents and cause the tool to shut
down. Swarf, created when cutting metal, can also cause permanent damage if it enters the tool. Do not allow
dust, wood chippings and swarf to build up. Use a vacuum cleaner to keep the work space clean, especially in
confined areas, and when working with harmful substances.
WARNING: DO NOT inhale dust. Wear adequate breathing protection. Some dusts may be toxic especially
from man-made composite materials.
Adjusting the tool speed
• The oscillating speed of this multi-tool can be adjusted over the Variable Speed Dial (5)
1. Turn the Variable Speed Dial to a higher setting, to increase tool speed
2. Turn the Variable Speed Dial to a lower setting, to decrease tool speed
Note: Adjust tool speed to best suit the work carried out, and to adapt to material requirements. Also refer to
the accessory manufacturer’s instructions, with regards to tool speed selection.
Sawing
• Ensure the saw blade is sharp and in good condition
• DO NOT use saw blades that are damaged or deformed in any way
• When sawing light building materials, follow the recommendations of the material suppliers
• Apply plunge cuts to soft materials ONLY, for example wood, plasterboard etc.
• If using saw blades not designed for cutting metal, ensure there are no nails or screws embedded in the
workpiece. If necessary, remove embedded objects or use metal cutting saw blades instead
Sanding
• The removal rate and the sanding pattern are determined by the type of sanding sheet, the preset
oscillation rate and the applied pressure
• Pay particular attention to applying uniform sanding pressure; this increases the working life of the
sanding sheets
• Intensifying the sanding pressure will not lead to an increase of the sanding capacity, but to increased
wear of the machine and premature wear of the sanding sheet
• For precise on-the-spot sanding of edges, corners and hard-to-reach areas, it is also possible to work
only with the tip or an edge of the sanding plate
• A sanding sheet that has been used for sanding metal should not be used for sanding other materials
• Regularly brush down or vacuum the surface being sanded to ensure the sanding sheet is in direct
contact with the surface
Scraping
• For scraping, select a high speed setting
• On soft surfaces (e.g. wood), work at a flat angle and apply only light pressure so that the scraper does
not cut into the surface
Accessories
• A full range of oscillating multi-tool accessories, including different saw blades, scrapers, grinding and
sanding accessories is available from your GMC stockist
Maintenance
WARNING: ALWAYS disconnect from the power supply before carrying out any maintenance/cleaning.
General inspection
• Regularly check that all the fixing screws are tight. They may vibrate loose over time
• Inspect the supply cord of the tool, prior to each use, for damage or wear. Repairs should be carried out by
an authorised GMC service centre. This advice also applies to extension cords used with this tool
Lubrication
• Lubricate all moving parts with a suitable lubricant spray, at regular intervals
Cleaning
WARNING: ALWAYS wear protective equipment including eye protection and gloves when cleaning this tool.
• Keep your tool clean at all times. Dirt and dust will cause internal parts to wear quickly, and shorten the
device’s service life
• Clean the body of your machine with a soft brush, or dry cloth
• Never use caustic agents to clean plastic parts. If dry cleaning is not sufficient, a mild detergent on a
damp cloth is recommended

• Water must never come into contact with the tool
• Ensure the tool is thoroughly dry before using it
• If available, use clean, dry, compressed air to blow through the ventilation holes (where applicable)
Brushes
• Over time the carbon brushes inside the motor may become worn
• Excessively worn brushes may cause loss of power, intermittent failure, or visible sparking
• If you suspect that the brushes may be worn, have them replaced at an authorised GMC service centre
Note: One pair of spare carbon brushes is included with this tool.
Storage
• Store this tool and its accessories after use in its case, in a dry, secure place out of the reach of children
Disposal
Always adhere to national regulations when disposing of power tools that are no longer functional and are
not viable for repair.
• Do not dispose of power tools, or other waste electrical and electronic equipment (WEEE), with household
waste
• Contact your local waste disposal authority for information on the correct way to dispose of power tools

WAARSCHUWING: Bij een geluidsintensiteit van 85 dB(A) of hoger is het dragen van gehoorbescherming en
het limiteren van de blootstellingstijd vereist. Bij oncomfortabel hoge geluidsniveaus, zelfs met het dragen
van gehoorbescherming, stopt u het gebruik van de machine onmiddellijk. Controleer de pasvorm en het
geluiddempingsniveau van de bescherming.
WAARSCHUWING: Blootstelling aan trilling resulteert mogelijk in gevoelloosheid, tinteling en een vermindert
gripvermogen. Langdurige blootstelling kan leiden tot chronische condities. Limiteer de blootstellingsduur en
draag anti-vibratie handschoenen. Vibratie heeft een grotere invloed op handen met een temperatuur lager
dan een normale, comfortabele temperatuur. Maak gebruik van de informatie in de specificaties voor het
bereken van de gebruiksduur en frequentie van de machine.
Geluid- en trillingsniveaus in de specificatie zijn vastgesteld volgens EN60745 of een gelijksoortige
internationale norm. De waarden gelden voor een normaal gebruik in normale werkomstandigheden. Een
slecht onderhouden, onjuist samengestelde of onjuist gebruikte machine produceert mogelijk hogere geluids-
en trillingsniveaus. www.osha.europa.eu biedt informatie met betrekking tot geluids- en trillingsniveaus op de
werkplek wat mogelijk nuttig is voor regelmatige gebruikers van machines.
Algemene veiligheid voor elektrisch ger-
eedschap
WAARSCHUWING Lees alle bediening- en veiligheidsvoorschriften. Het niet opvolgen van alle
voorschriften die hieronder vermeld staan, kan resulteren in een elektrische schok, brand en/of ernstig letsel.
WAARSCHUWING: De machine is niet geschikt voor gebruik door personen met een verminderde
mentale of fysieke gesteldheid of een gebrek aan ervaring, tenzij de persoon wordt begeleid of
geïnstrueerd door een persoon verantwoordelijk voor de veiligheid
Kinderen mogen niet met de machine spelen
Bewaar deze voorschriften voor toekomstig gebruik.
De term “elektrisch gereedschap” in alle hieronder vermelde waarschuwingen heeft betrekking op uw
elektrische gereedschap dat op de stroom is aangesloten (met een snoer) of met een accu wordt gevoed
(snoerloos).
1) Veiligheid in de werkruimte
a) Houd de werkruimte schoon en zorg voor een goede verlichting. Rommelige en donkere ruimtes
leiden vaak tot ongelukken.
b) Werk niet met elektrisch gereedschap in explosieve omgevingen, bijvoorbeeld in de aanwezigheid
van ontvlambare vloeistoffen, gassen of stof. Elektrisch gereedschap brengt vonken teweeg die stof of
dampen kunnen doen ontbranden.
c) Houd kinderen en omstanders uit de buurt wanneer u elektrisch gereedschap bedient. Door
afleiding kunt u de controle over het gereedschap verliezen.
2) Elektrische veiligheid
a) De stekkers van het elektrische gereedschap moeten passen bij het stopcontact. Pas de stekker
niet aan. Gebruik geen adapterstekkers bij geaard elektrisch gereedschap. Het gebruik van
ongewijzigde stekkers en passende stopcontacten vermindert het risico op een elektrische schok.
b) Vermijd lichamelijk contact met geaarde oppervlakken zoals pijpen, radiatoren, fornuizen en
koelkasten. Het risico op een elektrische schok neemt toe als uw lichaam geaard wordt.
c) Laat elektrisch gereedschap niet nat worden. Wanneer elektrisch gereedschap nat wordt, neemt het
risico op een elektrische schok toe.
d) Beschadig het snoer niet. Gebruik het snoer nooit om het elektrisch gereedschap te dragen, te
trekken of om de stekker uit het stopcontact te trekken. Houd het snoer uit de buurt van hitte, olie,
scherpe randen of bewegende delen. Een beschadigde of in de knoop geraakte snoer verhoogt het risico
op een elektrische schok toe.
e) Wanneer u elektrisch gereedschap buiten gebruikt, maak dan gebruik van een verlengsnoer
dat geschikt is voor gebruik buitenshuis. Gebruik een verlengsnoer dat geschikt is voor gebruik
buitenshuis om het risico op een elektrische schok te verminderen.
f) Indien het onvermijdelijk is elektrisch gereedschap te gebruiken in een vochtige omgeving,
gebruik dan een energiebron met een aardlekschakelaar (Residual Currency Device). Het gebruik
van een RCD vermindert het risico op een elektrische schok.
3) Persoonlijke veiligheid
a) Blijf alert en gebruik uw gezonde verstand wanneer u elektrisch gereedschap bedient. Gebruik
het elektrisch gereedschap niet wanneer u vermoeid bent of onder invloed bent van drugs, alcohol of
medicijnen. Onoplettendheid tijdens het bedienen van elektrisch gereedschap kan leiden tot ernstig letsel.
b) Maak gebruik van persoonlijke bescherming. Draag altijd een veiligheidsbril. Passende
bescherming voor de omstandigheden, zoals een stofmasker, niet-slippende veiligheidsschoenen een
helm of gehoorbescherming, vermindert het risico op persoonlijk letsel.
c) Zorg ervoor dat het apparaat niet per ongeluk wordt gestart. Controleer of de schakelaar in de ‘uit’
stand staat voordat u de stekker in het stopcontact steekt. Het dragen van elektrisch gereedschap
met uw vinger op de schakelaar of het aansluiten op de stroom van elektrisch gereedschap met de
schakelaar ingeschakeld kan tot ongelukken leiden.
d) Verwijder alle stel- of moersleutels voordat u het elektrische gereedschap inschakelt. Een moer- of
stelsleutel die zich op een draaiend onderdeel van het elektrische gereedschap bevindt, kan leiden tot
letsel.
e) Reik niet te ver. Blijf altijd stevig en in balans staan. Zo houdt u meer controle over het elektrische
gereedschap in onverwachte situaties.
f) Draag geschikte kleding. Draag geen loshangende kleding of sieraden. Houd haren, kleding en
handschoenen uit de buurt van bewegende delen. Loshangende kleding, sieraden en los hangende
haren kunnen vast komen te zitten in bewegende delen.
g) Als er onderdelen voor stofafvoer- en stofverzameling worden meegeleverd, sluit deze dan aan en
gebruik deze op de juiste wijze. Het gebruik van deze onderdelen kan het risico op stof gerelateerde
ongelukken verminderen.
4) Gebruik en verzorging van elektrisch gereedschap
a) Forceer elektrisch gereedschap niet. Gebruik elektrisch gereedschap dat geschikt is voor het werk
dat u wilt uitvoeren. Geschikt elektrisch gereedschap werkt beter en veiliger op een passende snelheid.
b) Gebruik het elektrische gereedschap niet als de schakelaar van het apparaat niet in- en
uitschakelt. Elektrisch gereedschap dat niet bediend kan worden met de schakelaar is gevaarlijk en
moet gerepareerd worden.
c) Haal de stekker uit het stopcontact voordat u instellingen aanpast, toebehoren verwisselt of het
elektrische gereedschap opbergt. Dergelijke voorzorgsmaatregelen verminderen het risico op het per
ongeluk starten van het elektrische gereedschap.
d) Berg elektrisch gereedschap dat niet in gebruik is op buiten bereik van kinderen en laat mensen
die niet bekend zijn met het elektrische gereedschap of met deze instructies het elektrische
gereedschap niet bedienen. Elektrisch gereedschap is gevaarlijk in de handen van onervaren
gebruikers.
e) Onderhoud uw elektrisch gereedschap. Controleer op foutieve uitlijning of het vastslaan van
bewegende delen, gebroken onderdelen en elke andere afwijking die de werking van het
elektrische gereedschap zou kunnen beïnvloeden. Indien het elektrische gereedschap beschadigd is,
moet u het laten repareren voordat u het weer gebruikt. Veel ongelukken worden veroorzaakt door slecht
onderhouden elektrisch gereedschap.
f) Houd snijwerktuigen scherp en schoon. Goed onderhouden snijwerktuigen met scherpe messen slaan
minder snel vast en zijn gemakkelijker te bedienen.
g) Gebruik het elektrische gereedschap, de accessoires en onderdelen, etc. volgens deze instructies
en volgens bestemming voor het specifieke type elektrisch gereedschap, en houd daarbij rekening
met de werkomstandigheden en het uit te voeren werk. Gebruik van elektrisch gereedschap voor
werkzaamheden die verschillen van die waarvoor het apparaat bestemd is, kan leiden tot gevaarlijke
situaties.
6) Onderhoud
a) Laat uw elektrische gereedschap onderhouden door een gekwalificeerde vakman en gebruik
alleen identieke vervangstukken. Zo bent u er zeker van dat de veiligheid van het elektrische
gereedschap gewaarborgd blijft.
WAARSCHUWING: Voordat u de machine op de stroombron aansluit controleert u of het voltage van de
stroombron overeenkomt met het voltage op het gegevensplaatje op de machine. Een stroombron met een
hogere spanning kan zorgen voor ernstige verwondingen aan de gebruiken en schade aan de machine.
Een stroombron met een lagere spanning kan de motor beschadigen. Plug de stekker bij twijfel niet in de
stroombron.
Let op: Een aardlekschakelaar wordt ook wel verliesstroomschakelaar of differentieschakelaar genoemd

Veiligheid multifunctionele machines
Algemene veiligheid voor multifunctionele, gesnoerde en snoerloze, roterende en oscillerende handmachines
WAARSCHUWING: Aanraking met elektrische- of gasleidingen resulteert mogelijk in brand, elektrische schok
en explosies. Het doorboren van waterleidingen resulteert mogelijk in eigendom beschadiging en elektrische
schok. Controleer de aanwezigheid van leidingen met behulp van geschikte detectors. Ben voorzichtig bij het
maken van blinde- en invalsneden, waarbij het uitgangspunt van het blad of accessoire niet zichtbaar is
WAARSCHUWING: Sommige materialen en coatings in ouderen gebouwen bevatten mogelijk asbest en
dienen voorzichtig gehanteerd te worden. Wanneer de aanwezigheid van asbest verwacht of ontdekt wordt,
neemt u onmiddellijk contact op met uw plaatselijke gezondheidsdienst voor advies betreft de verwijdering.
De hulp van een specialist is mogelijk vereist
WAARSCHUWING: Wanneer een metalen accessoire in contact komt met een stroomdraad, komen de
metalen onderdelen van de machine mogelijk onder stroom te staan wat de gebruiker een schok kan geven.
Houdt de machine tijdens gebruik te allen tijde bij de geïsoleerde grip vast
WAARSCHUWING: Werk NIET op vochtige/natte materialen en gebruik geen accessoires die vloeibare
koelmiddelen vereisen. Ingaande vloeistoffen veroorzaken een elektrisch gevaar en vernielen de machine
WAARSCHUWING: Stof wat ontstaat bij het gebruik van de machine is mogelijk schadelijk. Beuk, eik, teak,
natuurlijk hout, kunstmatig hout en bepaalde behandelingen als verf en lak zijn giftig. Verf op loodbasis is
gebruikelijk in gebouwen uit het jaar 1960 en eerder. Het dragen van een geschikt stofmasker is verplicht.
Gebruik een stof ontginningssysteem om de ophoping van stof te voorkomen. De meeste stoffen veroorzaken
een brandgevaar
a) Bij het verwisselen van accessoires is het dragen van beschermende handschoenen verplicht.
Sommige bladen en accessoires zijn erg scherp. Geef accessoires na gebruik tijd om af te koelen
b) Houd uw werkplaats schoon. Verschillende materiaalstoffen, als hout en metaal stof, zijn ontvlambaar.
Stof van lichte legeringen, waaronder magnesium, branden of exploderen gemakkelijk
c) Behandel het werkoppervlak niet me oplosmiddel bevattende vloeistoffen. Wanneer deze stoffen
tijdens het gebruik van de machine heet worden, vliegen deze mogelijk in vlam of ontstaan giftige
dampen
WAARSCHUWING: Bevestig geen accessores met een maximale snelheid, lager dan de onbelaste snelheid
van de machine
d) Vervang accessoires of voer onderhoud enkel uit met de machine ontkoppeld van de stroombron.
Ben uiterst voorzichtig wanneer de machine voorzien is van een vaste, geladen accu
e) Gebruik accessoires die aan de specificaties van de machine voldoen. Accessoires dienen
compatibel te zijn in maat en snelheid. Behandel geen dikkere materialen dan de maximale capaciteit van
de machine (zie: ‘Specificaties’)
f) Maak enkel gebruik van een adapter voor afwijkende accessoires of bladen wanneer de adapter
speciaal ontworpen is voor de machine of goedgekeurd is door de fabrikant
g) Pas accessoires NIET aan zodat deze gebruikt kunnen worden voor machine waarvoor de
accessoires niet bedoeld zijn
h) Gebruik geen beschadigde, gebogen, gebroken, verroeste of versleten accessoires. Deze
accessoires kunnen tijdens gebruik verder beschadigden, wat mogelijk resulteert in gebruikersletsel.
Controleer accessoires voor elk gebruik en gooi ze onmiddellijk weg wanneer deze in slechte staat
verkeren. Maak enkel gebruik van scherpe bladen
i) Zorg ervoor dat accessoires juist op de machine bevestigd zijn en dat de
bevestigingshulpmiddelen voor gebruik verwijdert zijn
j) Probeer vastgelopen bladen/accessoires niet te bevrijden voordat de machine ontkoppeld is van
de stroombron
k) Inspecteer het werkstuk voor gebruik of het geschikt is voor het te gebruiken accessoire.
Verwijder spijkers, nietjes en andere bevestigingsmiddelen voordat u het werk start
l) Klem het werkstuk stevig op de werkbank vast
m) Zorg voor een goede verlichting. Wanneer uw zicht op het werkstuk slecht is, versterkt en
verplaatst u de verlichting. Neem uw veiligheidsbril nooit af
n) Gebruik de machine niet in de buurt van ontvlambare materialen. Vonken van metaal snijden
veroorzaken vaak zaagsel brand
o) Wanneer accu’s buiten opgeladen dienen te worden, beschermd u de stroombron en de oplader
tegen slechte weersomstandigheden
p) Start de machine en laat deze op volledige snelheid komen voordat u de machine in contact
brengt met het werkstuk. Pas de snelheid van de machine met behulp van het controlewiel, naar het te
gebruiken accessoire aan
q) Oefen geen overmatige druk op de machine uit. Laat de machine en het accessoire het werk doen.
Zo behoud u een optimale grip op de machine wanneer deze door het materiaal breekt en minimaliseert u
de slijtage wat de levensduur maximaliseert. Een overmatige druk buigt en draait het accessoire mogelijk
wat mogelijk resulteert in breuk en persoonlijk letsel. Houd de machine wanneer mogelijk met twee
handen vast en hanteer de machine voorzichtig
r) Zagen, snijden en schuren produceren warmte. Dit heeft een mogelijk effect op het werkstuk
en de machine. Houd het warmteniveau in de gaten en schakel de machine wanneer nodig uit om de
machine te laten afkoelen voordat u het werk hervat. Sommige machines koelen sneller af door deze op
volle snelheid, onbelast te laten draaien
s) Stof wordt via de ventilatiegaten mogelijk in de machine gezogen, wat kan resulteren in
elektrische gevaren wat de machine vernield. Minimaliseer het stof/zaagsel niveau in de werkplaats
en hout de ventilatiegaten vrij
t) Houdt het stroomsnoer te allen tijde achter de machine en uit de buurt van het bewegende
accessoire
u) Reik niet onder het werkstuk, steun het werkstuk niet op uw lijf en houdt het werkstuk tijdens het
bewerken niet vast. Bladen en accessoires kunnen ernstig letsel veroorzaken
v) Het dragen van trilling bestendige handschoenen is aanbevolen, vooral bij langdurig gebruik
w) Bij het gebruik van machines met roterende delen is het dragen van kleding en/of handschoenen
met rafelige draden en sieraden verboden. Loshangende draden kunnen door de delen gegrepen
worden waardoor uw hand in het accessoire getrokken wordt, wat kan resulteren in ernstig letsel. Draag
strakke werkkleding
x) Laat schuurvellen niet volledig verslijten. Dit beschadigd de schuurschijf waardoor delen mogelijk
van de schijf afvliegen, wat resulteert in persoonlijk letsel
y) Raak bewegende schuurvellen niet aan
z) Draadborstel haren doorboren dunne kleding en huid gemakkelijk. Oefen niet te veel druk op
draadborstels uit
Let op: Gebruik de machine enkel voor doeleinden waarvoor het bedoeld is. Enige andere gebruiksdoelen
worden gezien als misbruik. De gebruiker, niet de fabrikant, is aansprakelijk voor schade en/of letsel

Het uitpakken van uw gereedschap
• Pak uw toestel / gereedschap uit. Inspecteer het en zorg dat u met alle kenmerken en functies vertrouwd
raakt
• Controleer of alle onderdelen aanwezig zijn en in goede staat verkeren. Als er onderdelen ontbreken of
beschadigd zijn, zorg dan dat deze vervangen worden voor u dit toestel / gereedschap gebruikt
Voor gebruik
WAARSCHUWING: Zorg er steeds voor dat het gereedschap is uitgeschakeld en dat de stekker is
verwijderd uit het stopcontact alvorens accessoires aan te brengen of te verwijderen.
WAARSCHUWING: Draag steeds geschikte handschoenen wanneer u bladen of andere scherpe
accessoires manipuleert.
Het aanbrengen van de stofextractor
Opmerking: De Multitool is ontworpen om verbonden te worden met de slang van een huishoudelijke
stofzuiger of met een stofafvoersysteem dat aanwezig is op de werkplek. Dit is de te verkiezen en de meest
efficiënte methode om stof af te voeren.
WAARSCHUWING: Zorg er STEEDS voor dat het gereedschap is uitgeschakeld en dat de stekker is
verwijderd uit het stopcontact alvorens accessoires aan te brengen of te verwijderen.
WAARSCHUWING: Verbind STEEDS de Multitool met een geschikte stofzuiger of met een
stofafvoersysteem indien het schuurstof schadelijke substanties omvat, zoals deeltjes van oude verf, vernis,
coatingen, enzovoort. Voer het schadelijke stof STEEDS af in overeenstemming met de van kracht zijnde
wetgeving en regelgeving.
WAARSCHUWING: Neem speciale voorzorgsmaatregelen tegen schadelijk en toxisch stof wanneer
oppervlakken worden gescheurd die geverfd zijn met verf op loodbasis, houtsoorten en metalen, meer bepaald
indien u niet zeker bent van de werkelijk aanwezige substanties. Alle personen die de werkruimte betreden,
dienen een masker te dragen dat speciaal ontworpen is als bescherming tegen het toxisch stof en tegen de
toxische dampen. Kinderen en zwangere vrouwen mogen de werkruimte NIET betreden. Eet, drink, of rook
NIET in de werkruimte.
1. Duw het tapse uiteinde van de stofafvoerkraag op de kop van het gereedschap, zodat het vastklikt (zie
fbeelding B)
2. Schuif de clip, gelokaliseerd boven de stofafvoeropening (7), in de groef die gelokaliseerd is onder het
snoer (zie afbeelding C)
3. Duw een geschikte stofzuigerbuis op de stofafvoeropening
• De stofafvoeropening is voorzien om te passen op een standaard buis met een diameter van 32mm
• Voor het uitvoeren van werkzaamheden in kleinere ruimten kan de stofafvoeropening gemakkelijk
verwijderd worden:
1. Verwijder alle aangebrachte gereedschappen (zie "aanbrengen van een blad of van een schraper")
2. Duw het achterste einde van de stofafvoeropening (7) zijdelings weg om het te verwijderen.
Het aanbrengen van een blad of schraper
1. Til de gereedschapsvervangingshefboom (3) op en duw deze voorwaarts om het klemmechanisme los te
koppelen
Opmerking: Dit vereist enige kracht.
2. Breng een compatibel blad of gereedschap aan onder de flens
3. Zorg voor een correcte oriëntatie van het blad, op een zodanige wijze dat het op de lokalisatiepennen van
de flens past

Opmerking: Bladen of schrapers die hoekig of gebogen zijn, moeten op een zodanige wijze op het
gereedschap aangebracht worden dat het einde van het blad weg is gericht van de machine (zie afbeelding A)
Het aanbrengen van het schuurkussen en van schuurvellen
1. Breng het schuurkussen met klittenband aan in overeenstemming met de instructies die terug te vinden
zijn onder "Aanbrengen van een blad of schraper"
2. Selecteer het vereiste schuurvel voor uw toepassing (zie "Selecteren van de juiste ruwheid schuurvel")
3. Het schuurkussen en de schuurvellen maken gebruik van een klittenbandsysteem om de onderlinge
verbinding tot stand te brengen. Om het vel aan te brengen, lijnt u een hoek van het vel uit met een hoek
van het schuurkussen, en duwt u geleidelijk aan de rest van het vel op het kussen, terwijl u de uitlijning
controleert, en dit tot het vel correct is aangebracht
Selecteren van de juiste ruwheid schuurvel
• Schuurvellen zijn verkrijgbaar in een aantal ruwheden: ruw (korrelmaat 60), gemiddeld (korrelmaat 120),
en fijn (korrelmaat 240)
• Maak gebruik van de ruwe versie om een ruwe afwerking uit te voeren, van de gemiddelde kwaliteit om
het werk verder af te vlakken, en van de fijne korrelmaat om de uiteindelijke afwerking door te voeren
• Maak steeds gebruik van schuurvellen van goede kwaliteit om de kwaliteit van de uit te voeren taak te
garanderen
• Het is aan te bevelen om het schuren te testen op een stuk afvalmateriaal om de optimale ruwheid van
het schuurpapier te bepalen voor de welbepaalde toepassing. Indien er nog steeds markeringen zichtbaar
zijn op uw werkstuk na het schuren, probeer dan opnieuw te schuren met een grof schuurvel en probeer
de markeringen te verwijderen alvorens opnieuw te starten met de oorspronkelijke selectie van de
ruwheid, of probeer nieuw schuurpapier te gebruiken om de ongewenste markeringen te verwijderen
alvorens over te gaan naar een fijnere ruwheid om het werk af te ronden
Werking
WAARSCHUWING: Draag bij het werken met dit gereedschap STEEDS gepaste persoonlijke
beschermende uitrusting, met inbegrip van oogbescherming, oorbescherming, en ademhalingsbescherming.
WAARSCHUWING: Trillingswerende handschoenen dienen gedragen te worden wanneer u dit
gereedschap gebruikt, teneinde gebruikers te beschermen tegen de effecten van trillingen die door het
gereedschap geproduceerd worden.
In- en uitschakelen
1. Houd het gereedschap stevig bij de greep (6) vast, met de duim over de AAN/UIT-schakelaar (4)
2. Schuif de Aan/Uit-schakelaar voorwaarts tot deze vergrendelt, om het gereedschap in te schakelen
3. Schuif de Aan/Uit-schakelaar achterwaarts om het gereedschap uit te schakelen
WAARSCHUWING: Laat het gereedschap de vereiste snelheid bereiken alvorens contact te maken met
het werkstuk.
WAARSCHUWING: Hitte die gegenereerd wordt door de motor, kan ontsnappen via de ventilatiegaten
om zodoende het lichaam van het gereedschap te verlaten. Deze ventilatiegaten mogen dan ook niet
geblokkeerd worden. Stof en houtsnippers kunnen de ventilatiegaten blokkeren en er de oorzaak van zijn dat
het gereedschap stilvalt. Spanen die gevormd worden bij het snijden in metaal kunnen eveneens permanente
schade veroorzaken indien ze in het gereedschap binnendringen. Zorg ervoor dat stof, snippers, en spanen
niet kunnen accumuleren. Maak gebruik van een stofzuiger om de werkruimte zuiver te houden, in het
bijzonder in kleinere ruimtes en wanneer er gewerkt wordt met schadelijker substanties.
WAARSCHUWING: Adem GEEN stof in. Draag geschikte ademhalingsbescherming. Sommige soorten
stof kunnen toxisch zijn, meer bepaald indien het afkomstig is van kunststof composietmaterialen.
Het aanpassen van de gereedschapsnelheid
• De oscillatiesnelheid van dit multifunctioneel gereedschap kan aangepast worden met behulp van de
variabele snelheidsknop (5)
1. Draai de variabele snelheidsknop naar een hogere positie om de snelheid van het gereedschap op te
voeren
2. Draai de variabele snelheidsknop naar een lagere positie om de snelheid van het gereedschap te verlagen
Opmerking: Pas de snelheid van het gereedschap aan om ze zo goed mogelijk te laten passen bij het uit te
voeren werk en aan de door het materiaal gestelde eisen. Er wordt eveneens verwezen naar de instructies van
de fabrikant van de accessoires, voor wat betreftde selectie van de gereedschapsnelheid.
Zagen
• Zorg ervoor dat het blad scherp is en in een goede toestand verkeert
• Gebruik GEEN zaagbladen die beschadigd of vervormd zijn
• Bij het zagen van lichte bouwmaterialen wordt verwezen naar de aanbevelingen van de leveranciers van
de materialen
• Voer ENKEL invallende sneden uit in zachte materialen, bijvoorbeeld houdt, gipsplaat, enzovoort.
• Indien u gebruik maakt van zaagbladen die niet bedoeld zijn om metaal te zagen, zorg er dan voor dat
er geen spijkers of schroeven in het werkstuk achtergebleven zijn. Verwijder indien nodig ingebedde
voorwerpen of maak anders gebruik van metaalzaagbladen

Schuren
• De verwijdersnelheid en het schuurpatroon worden bepaald door het type schuurvel, door de ingestelde
oscillatiesnelheid, en door de uitgeoefende druk
• Zorg er in het bijzonder voor dat u een uniforme druk uitoefent tijdens het schuren; dit vergroot de
levensduur van de schuurvellen
• Het opvoeren van de schuurdruk zal geen aanleiding geven tot het verbeteren van de schuurcapaciteit,
maar wel tot een hogere slijtage van de machine en tot een vroegtijdige slijtage van de schuurvellen
• Voor het nauwkeurig schuren in hoeken, op randen, en in moeilijk te bereiken zones is het eveneens
mogelijk om enkel te werken met de punt of met een rand van het schuurkussen
• Een schuurvel dat gebruikt werd om metaal te schuren, mag niet gebruikt worden om andere materialen
te schuren
• Borstel of zuig regelmatig het te schuren oppervlak schoon om er zeker van te zijn dat het schuurvel
rechtstreeks in contact staat met het oppervlak
Schrapen
• Voor schraapwerkzaamheden dient u een hogere snelheid in te stellen
• Op zachte oppervlakken (bijvoorbeeld hout) dient u onder een vlakke hoek te werken en slechts een lichte
druk uit te oefenen zodat de schraper niet in het oppervlak bijt
Accessoires
• Verschillende accessoires en verbruiksmiddelen, waaronder zaagbladen en schrapers, zijn verkrijgbaar bij
uw GMC handelaar. Reserve onderdelen zijn verkrijgbaar op toolsparesonline.com
ONDERHOUD
WAARSCHUWING: Koppel het gereedschap STEEDS los van de voeding alvorens onderhoud of
schoonmaakwerkzaamheden uit te voeren.
Algemene inspectie
• Controleer regelmatig of alle bevestigingsmiddelen nog goed vast zitten. Door vibratie kunnen ze na enige
tijd los gaan zitten
• Inspecteer het stroomsnoer voor elk gebruik op slijtage en beschadiging. Reparaties dienen uitgevoerd
worden bij een geautoriseerd GMC service center. Dit geld tevens voor verlengsnoeren, gebruikt met de
machine
Smeren
• Smeer alle bewegende onderdelen regelmatig met een geschikt smeermiddel
Schoonmaak
WAARSCHUWING: Draag STEEDS beschermende uitrusting, met inbegrip van oogbescherming en
handschoenen wanneer u het gereedschap schoonmaakt.
• Houd het gereedschap te allen tijde schoon. Vuil en stof geven aanleiding tot een snelle slijtage van de
interne onderdelen, en verkorten de levensduur van het gereedschap
• Maak het lichaam van het gereedschap schoon met een zachte borstel of met een droog doek
• Gebruik nooit bijtende middelen om plastic onderdelen schoon te maken. Indien een droge schoonmaak
niet voldoende is, verdient een zachte detergent op een vochtig doek de aanbeveling
• Water mag nooit in contact komen met het gereedschap
• Zorg ervoor dat het gereedschap volkomen droog is alvorens het te gebruiken
• Indien aanwezig, maak dan gebruik van droge perslucht om de ventilatiegaten door te blazen (waar van
toepassing)
Koolstofborstels
• Na verloop van tijd zullen de koolborstels in de motor verslijten.
• Bij overmatige slijtage van de borstels verliest de motor mogelijk vermogen, start het niet meer, en/ of
produceert het overmatig vonken.
• Wanneer u vermoedt dat de borstels versleten zijn, laat u deze bij een erkend servicecenter vervangen
Let op: De machine is voorzien van een paar reserve koolstofborstels
Opberging
• Berg de machine op een droge en veilige plek, buiten het bereik van kinderen op
Verwijdering
Bij de verwijdering van elektrische machines neemt u de nationale voorschriften in acht.
• Elektrische en elektronische apparaten en accu’s mogen niet met uw huishoudelijk afval worden
weggegooid

Attention : Toujours porter des protections sonores lorsque le niveau d’intensité est supérieur à 85 dB(A)
et limiter le temps d’exposition si nécessaire. Si l’intensité sonore devient inconfortable, même avec les
protections, arrêter immédiatement d’utiliser l’appareil, vérifier que les protections soient bien mises et
qu’elles soient adéquates avec le niveau sonore produit par l’appareil.
Attention : L’exposition de l’utilisateur aux vibrations peut engendrer une perte du toucher, des

1) Sécurité sur la zone de travail
a) Maintenir une zone de travail propre et bien éclairée. Des zones encombrées et mal éclairées sont
sources d’accidents.
b) Ne pas utiliser d’outils électriques dans des environnements explosifs, tels qu’à proximité de
liquides, de gaz ou de poussières inflammables. Les appareils électriques produisent des étincelles
susceptibles d’enflammer la poussière ou les vapeurs présentes.
c) Eloigner les enfants et les passants pendant l’utilisation d’un appareil électrique. Ceux-ci peuvent
provoquer une perte d’attention et faire perdre la maîtrise de l’appareil.
2) Sécurité électrique
a) La prise d’un appareil électrique doit être adaptée à la prise du secteur. Ne jamais modifier la
prise en aucune façon. Ne jamais utiliser d’adaptateur sur la prise électrique d’appareil mis à la terre.
Des prises non modifiées, adaptées aux boîtiers de prise de courant, réduiront le risque de décharge
électrique.
b) Eviter le contact corporel avec les surfaces mises à la terre telles que tuyaux, radiateurs,
cuisinières et réfrigérateurs. Le risque de décharge électrique est plus important si le corps est mis à la
terre.
c) Ne pas exposer l’appareil électrique à la pluie ou à l’humidité. L’infiltration d’eau dans un appareil
électrique accroît le risque de décharge électrique.
d) Ne pas maltraiter le cordon électrique. Ne jamais utiliser le cordon électrique pour porter, tirer
ou débrancher l’appareil. Protéger le cordon électrique de la chaleur, du contact avec l’essence, des
bords tranchants et pièces rotatives. Un cordon électrique endommagé ou entortillé accroît le risque de
décharge électrique.
e) Lors d’une utilisation de l’appareil électrique en extérieur, se servir d’une rallonge appropriée à
une utilisation en extérieur. Cela réduit le risque de décharge électrique.
f) Si une utilisation de l’appareil électrique dans un environnement humide ne peut être évitée,
utiliser une alimentation protégée par un disjoncteur différentiel. L’utilisation d’un disjoncteur
différentiel réduit le risque de décharge électrique.
3) Sécurité des personnes
a) Rester vigilant et faire preuve de bon sens lors de la manipulation de l’appareil. Ne pas utiliser un
appareil électrique lorsque l’on se trouve dans un état de fatigue, ou sous l’influence de drogues,
d’alcool ou de médicaments. Un moment d’inattention pendant l’utilisation d’un outil électrique peut se
traduire par des blessures graves.
b) Porter un équipement de protection approprié. Toujours porter une protection oculaire. Le port de
masque à poussières, chaussures de sécurité antidérapantes, casque de sécurité et protections antibruit
adaptés aux différentes conditions de travail réduit le risque de blessures corporelles.
c) Eviter tout démarrage accidentel ou intempestif. S’assurer que l’interrupteur marche-arrêt soit en
position d’arrêt avant de brancher l’appareil sur l’alimentation secteur ou d’installer la batterie, de
prendre l’appareil ou de le transporter. Porter un appareil électrique tout en maintenant le doigt posé
sur l’interrupteur ou brancher un appareil électrique dont l’interrupteur est sur la position de marche est
source d’accidents.
d) Enlever toute clé et tout instrument de réglage avant de mettre l’appareil électrique en marche.
Une clé ou un instrument de réglage laissé fixé à un élément en rotation de l’appareil électrique peut
entraîner des blessures physiques.
e) Ne pas essayer d’atteindre une zone hors de portée. Se tenir toujours en position stable permettant
de conserver l’équilibre. Cela permet de mieux contrôler l’appareil électrique dans des situations
inattendues.
f) Porter des vêtements appropriés. Ne pas porter de vêtements amples ou des bijoux pendants.
Eloigner cheveux, vêtements et gants des pièces en mouvement. Les vêtements amples, les bijoux
pendants et cheveux longs peuvent être happés par les pièces en rotation
g) Si l’appareil est pourvu de dispositifs destinés au raccord d’équipements d’extraction et de
récupération de la poussière/sciure, s’assurer qu’ils soient bien fixés et utilisés correctement.
L’utilisation de ces dispositifs peut réduire les risques dus à la poussière.
4) Utilisation et entretien des appareils électriques
a) Ne pas forcer sur l’appareil électrique. Utiliser l’appareil électrique approprié au travail à effectuer.
Un appareil électrique adapté et employé au rythme pour lequel il a été conçu permettra de réaliser un
travail de meilleure qualité et dans de meilleures conditions de sécurité.
b) Ne pas utiliser un appareil électrique dont l’interrupteur marche-arrêt est hors service. Tout
appareil électrique dont la commande ne s’effectue plus par l’interrupteur marche-arrêt est dangereux et
doit être réparé.
c) Débrancher l’appareil électrique ou démonter sa batterie avant d’effectuer tout réglage ou
changement d’accessoire et avant de le ranger. De telles mesures préventives réduiront les risques de
démarrage accidentel.
d) Ranger les appareils électriques inutilisés hors de portée des enfants et ne pas permettre
l’utilisation de cet appareil aux personnes non habituées à son maniement ou n’ayant pas lu
les présentes instructions. Les appareils électriques sont dangereux dans les mains d’utilisateurs
inexpérimentés.
e) Veiller à l’entretien des appareils électriques. Vérifier que les éléments rotatifs soient bien alignés
et non grippés. S’assurer de l’absence de pièces cassées ou endommagées susceptibles de nuire
au bon fonctionnement de l'appareil. Si l’appareil électrique est endommagé, le faire réparer avant
toute utilisation. De nombreux accidents sont dus à l’utilisation d’appareils électriques mal entretenus.
f) Veiller à ce que les outils de coupe soient tenus affûtés et propres. Des outils de coupe bien
entretenus, aux tranchants bien affûtés, sont moins susceptibles de se gripper et sont plus faciles à
contrôler.
g) Utiliser l’appareil électrique, les accessoires et outils à monter conformément à ces instructions,
en tenant compte des conditions de travail et de la tâche à réaliser. Toute utilisation d’un appareil
électrique autre que celle pour laquelle il a été conçu peut entraîner des situations à risque.
ATTENTION : Lorsque utilisé en Australie ou en Nouvelle Zélande, il est recommandé que cet appareil soit
toujours alimenté via un disjoncteur différentiel ayant un courant résiduel de 30 mA ou moins.
5) Révision
a) Ne faire réparer votre appareil électrique que par un réparateur qualifié utilisant uniquement
des pièces de rechange identiques. Cela permet de maintenir la sécurité d’utilisation de l’appareil
électrique.
ATTENTION : Avant de brancher un appareil sur une source d’alimentation (prise secteur, groupe électrogène,
etc.) assurez-vous que la tension fournie soit la même que celle spécifiée sur la plaque de l’appareil. Une
source d’alimentation avec une tension supérieure à celle indiquée sur l’appareil peut engendrer de sérieuses
blessures pour l’utilisateur, et endommager l’appareil. En cas de doute, ne branchez pas l’appareil. Une
source d’alimentation avec une tension inférieure à celle indiquée sur l’appareil est néfaste pour le moteur.

incendies, des chocs électriques et des explosions. Entrer en contact avec une canalisation d’eau peut causer
des dommages matériels et des chocs électriques. Servez-vous de détecteurs adaptés pour déterminer si des
canalisations ou câbles sont dissimulés sur la zone de travail. Faites très attention lorsque vous effectuez des
coupes aveugles ou des « coupes en poche » lorsque le point de sortie de la lame ou de l’accessoire de l’autre
côté du matériau n’est pas visible.
ATTENTION : De l’amiante peut être présent dans les matériaux et les revêtements dans les logements
anciens et doit être traité avec beaucoup de prudence. Si vous soupçonnez ou découvrez la présence
d’amiante, consultez un représentant du comité de santé et de sécurité local immédiatement pour plus de
conseils sur son élimination. Vous devrez peut-être faire recours à un spécialiste de l’enlèvement de l’amiante.
ATTENTION : Si un accessoire de coupe entre en contact avec un fil « sous tension », les parties
métalliques exposées de l’outil peuvent être mises « sous tension » et pourraient donner un choc électrique
à l’utilisateur. Tenez l’outil électrique par ses surfaces de préhension isolées à chaque fois que vous vous
servez de l’outil.
ATTENTION : Ne travaillez pas avec des matériaux mouillés ou humides ou avec des accessoires qui
nécessitent des liquides de refroidissement. Si des liquides entrent dans le corps de l’outil, ceci représente un
risque électrique et pourrait détruire l’outil.
ATTENTION : La poussière produite par le travail sur certains matériaux peut être toxique. Les bois
naturels tels que le hêtre, le chêne, l’acajou et le teck, les bois composites et certains traitements de surface
incluant la peinture à base de plomb, sont toxiques. La peinture à base de plomb est souvent présente dans
les bâtiments construits avant 1960. Portez toujours une protection respiratoire adaptée tel qu’un masque
respiratoire filtrant. Idéalement, servez-vous également d’un système d’extraction des poussières ou bien
aspirez régulièrement la zone de travail pour éviter l’accumulation de poussière et passez l’aspirateur une fois
que vous avez terminé le travail. La plupart des poussières représentent un risque d’incendie. Les surfaces de
travail en hauteur représentent un risque supplémentaire de poussière pour la sécurité des utilisateurs.
• Portez des gants de protection anti-coupures lorsque vous changez les lames et les accessoires.
Certaines lames et accessoires peuvent être très affutées. Les lames de grattoirs s’affutent pendant
l’utilisation. Après utilisation les lames et les accessoires peuvent être très chauds, laissez-les refroidir.
• Gardez votre zone de travail propre. La poussière créée par différents matériaux incluant le bois et les
métaux peut être très inflammable. La poussière créée par des alliages légers incluant le magnésium
peut bruler et exploser facilement.
• Ne traitez pas la surface de travail avec des fluides contenant des solvants. Si ces fluides deviennent
chauds sous l’effet des grattoirs, des vapeurs toxiques peuvent être produites, ou des surfaces peuvent
s ‘enflammer.
ATTENTION : Ne fixez jamais de lames ou d’accessoires dont la vitesse maximale est inférieure à la
vitesse à vide de l’outil.
• Changez uniquement les accessoires et les lames ou entretenez votre machine uniquement lorsque la
machine est débranchée de l’alimentation électrique, soit secteur ou soit batterie. Si l’outil possède une
batterie intégrée chargée, faites particulièrement attention de ne pas l’allumer accidentellement lorsque
vous changez les accessoires ou les lames.
• Utilisez toujours des accessoires ou des lames qui sont approuvées par le fabricant ou qui correspondent
aux spécifications de votre outil électrique, ceci inclut la compatibilité de taille et de vitesse. N’essayez
pas de couper des matériaux plus épais que la capacité indiquée dans les caractéristiques techniques.
• Servez-vous d’un adaptateur pour vous servir de différents accessoires ou lames uniquement si
l’adaptateur est conçu et approuvé par le fabricant de votre outil électrique.
• Ne modifiez pas les accessoires ou les lames pour qu’elles fonctionnent avec des outils électriques
auxquels ils n’étaient pas destinés ou pour des utilisations pour lesquels ils n’ont pas été conçus.
• Ne vous vous servez pas de lames ou d’accessoires qui sont endommagés, pliés, ébréchés, fissurés,
très rouillés ou excessivement usés. Ces accessoires peuvent voler en éclats lors de l’utilisation causant
des blessures à l’utilisateur. Inspectez toujours les accessoires et les lames avant de vous en servir et
jetez les immédiatement s’ils ne sont pas en bon état. Ne vous servez jamais de lames qui sont usées et
émoussées. Servez-vous toujours de lames affutées.
• Assurez-vous toujours que les accessoires et les lames sont fixés de manière sure sur l’outil avant
utilisation et que l’outil dont vous vous êtes servi pour fixer l’accessoire est enlevé avant utilisation
• N’essayez pas de libérer une lame ou un accessoire bloqué avant d’avoir débranché l’outil électrique de
sa source d’alimentation électrique.
• Inspectez la pièce de travail avant utilisation afin de vous assurer qu’elle est dans un état correct pour la
lame ou l’accessoire que vous avez fixé. Enlevez les clous, les agrafes et autres objets incrustés avant de
commencer à travailler.
• Toute pièce de travail qui se déplace librement doit être fixée de manière sure avec un étau ou serre-joint
avant de commencer le travail.
• Assurez-vous toujours que vous disposez d’un éclairage suffisant dans la zone de travail. N’enlevez
jamais vos lunettes de sécurité pour avoir une meilleure visibilité, augmentez plutôt le niveau d’éclairage
ou déplacez la source de lumière afin qu’elle illumine la zone de travail de manière correcte
• N’utilisez pas l’outil électrique près de matériaux inflammables. Faites particulièrement attention lorsque
vous coupez du bois ou du métal. Les étincelles causées par la coupe de métal sont une cause courante
d’incendies de poussière de bois.
• Les chargeurs de batterie sont pour un usage intérieur uniquement. Assurez-vous que la source
d’alimentation électrique et le chargeur sont protégés de l’humidité à tout moment.
• Ne démarrez jamais l’outil électrique lorsque la lame ou l’accessoire est en contact avec la pièce de
travail, et laissez l’outil électrique atteindre sa pleine vitesse avant de le faire entrer en contact avec la
pièce de travail. Servez-vous du variateur de vitesse de votre outil (s’il est installé) pour mettre l’outil en
marche à la vitesse correcte pour l’accessoire ou la lame que vous avez fixé.
• N’exercez pas de pression supplémentaire sur le corps de l’outil : laissez la lame ou l’accessoire faire
le travail. Si vous n’exercez pas de pression supplémentaire vous aurez une meilleure prise sur l’outil
lorsqu’il traverse le matériau, et vous réduirez l’usure de l’outil ce qui prolongera sa durée de service. Une
pression supplémentaire pourrait plier ou tordre l’accessoire ou la lame ce qui pourrait le briser et causer
une blessure. Si l’outil électrique peut être tenu à une main ou à deux tenez-le à deux mains à chaque
fois que possible. Faites toujours très attention lorsque vous manipulez cet outil.
• Les actions de sciage, de coupe et d’abrasion créent de la chaleur. Ceci peut affecter la pièce de travail
et l’outil électrique. Surveillez toujours le niveau de chaleur et en cas de chaleur excessive éteignez l’outil
électrique et laissez-le refroidir avant de recommencer à travailler. Certains outils électriques, en fonction
de leur conception, peuvent être refroidis rapidement et de manière efficace en les faisant tourner à vide
à grande vitesse.
• L’outil électrique aspirera la poussière par les orifices de ventilation sur le corps de l’outil. Une
accumulation excessive de poussière de métal peut causer un risque électrique et détruire l’outil.
Assurez-vous toujours que le niveau de poussière dans votre environnement est sans danger pour votre
outil et assurez-vous que les orifices de ventilation ne sont pas bouchés.
• Pour des outils électriques ayant une alimentation secteur, assurez-vous que le câble d’alimentation se
trouve toujours à l’arrière de l’outil et qu’il ne se trouve jamais à proximité de l’accessoire ou de la lame
en mouvement.
• N’essayez pas de passer la main sous la pièce de travail, de faire reposer la pièce de travail sur votre
corps ou de tenir la pièce de travail lorsque vous travaillez dessus, car tout contact avec la lame ou
l’accessoire qui dépasse de la pièce de travail peut causer des blessures graves.
• Des gants anti-vibration doivent être portés lorsque vous utilisez des outils électriques qui produisent
beaucoup de vibration, surtout pour un usage à long terme.
• Pour les outils électriques ayant un mécanisme et des accessoires rotatifs, assurez-vous que l’utilisateur
ne porte pas des habits ou des gants ayant des bords effilochés, des fils etc. qui pourraient s’emmêler
dans le mécanisme rotatif et entrainer la main de l’utilisateur dans l’accessoire rotatif, causant des
blessures. Ne portez pas de vêtements amples, portez des chaussures de sécurité. Enlevez vos bijoux et
attachez les cheveux longs. Ne portez jamais de gants en tissu qui peuvent produire des fils de matériau
lorsque vous vous servez d’outils électriques de ce type.
• Ne laissez pas les feuilles abrasives s’user sur le patin de ponçage. Ceci pourrait endommager la
surface du patin de ponçage, nécessitant un remplacement et pourrait éjecter des morceaux de feuilles
abrasives, causant des blessures de l’utilisateur.
• Ne touchez pas la feuille abrasive en mouvement.
• Les poils de brosse métallique sont projetés même durant des opérations normales. N’exercez pas
une pression excessive sur la brosse car vous créerez un stress supplémentaire. Les poils métalliques
peuvent facilement pénétrer les habits légers et la peau.
Remarque : L’outil ne doit être utilisé uniquement que pour l’usage auquel il est destiné. Toute autre
utilisation non mentionnée dans ce manuel sera considérée comme une utilisation abusive. L’utilisateur et
non le fabricant sera responsable pour tout dommage ou blessure causée par une telle utilisation abusive. Le

Usage conforme
Outil multifonctions oscillant avec changement d’accessoire rapide conçu pour les opérations de coupes et
abrasives grâce à sa lame, sa lime et son plateau de ponçage à oscillation rapide.
Déballage
• Déballez le produit avec soin. Veillez à retirer tout le matériau d’emballage et familiarisez-vous avec
toutes les caractéristiques du produit
• Vérifiez que tous les pièces sont présentes. Si des pièces sont endommagées ou manquantes, remplacer-
les avant d’utiliser l’appareil.
Avant utilisation
ATTENTION : Assurez-vous que l’outil soit toujours éteint et débranché avant d’installer ou d’enlever
des accessoires.
ATTENTION : Portez toujours des gants adéquats lorsque vous manipulez des lames ou d’autres
accessoires acérés..
Installer une lame ou un grattoir
1. Levez le levier de changement d’accessoires (3) et appuyez-le vers l’avant pour désengager le
mécanisme de serrage.
Remarque : Ceci nécessite de la force.
2. Installez une lame ou un outil compatible sous la bride.
3. Assurez-vous de l’orientation correcte de la lame, afin qu’elle soit installée à l’intérieur des goupilles de
placement dans la bride.
4. Inclinez le levier de changement d’accessoires vers sa position fermée originale.
5. Assurez-vous que la lame soit fixée de manière sure.
Assemblage du plateau de ponçage et des feuilles de ponçage
1. Installez le plateau support auto-agrippant en suivant les instructions dans ‘Installer une lame ou un
grattoir’
2. Choisissez la feuille abrasive adéquate à votre tâche (voir ‘Sélection de la granulométrie de la feuille
abrasive’ ci –dessous).
3. Le plateau de ponçage et les feuilles abrasives ont le système de fixation ‘auto-agrippant’. Pour fixer
la feuille, alignez correctement un des coins de la feuille avec un coin du plateau et posez au fur et à
mesure le reste de la feuille sur le plateau en s’assurant de conserver l’alignement.
Sélection de la granulométrie de la feuille abrasive
• Il existe, dans le commerce, des feuilles abrasives à grains différents : grossier (grain 60), moyen (grains
120) et fin (grain 240).
• Utilisez le grain gros pour les finitions grossières, le grain moyen pour rendre la pièce de travail lisse, et
le grain fin pour la finition.
• Utilisez toujours des feuilles abrasives de bonne qualité pour optimiser la qualité de finition
• Il est recommandé de faire des essais sur des chutes de matériau de la pièce de travail afin de
déterminer le grain adéquat à la tâche. Si des marques sont toujours présentes sur la pièce de travail
après le ponçage, essayez un grain plus grossier pour enlever ces marques et recommencez avec la
feuille abrasive initiale, ou utilisez une nouvelle feuille abrasive pour enlever les marques avant d’utiliser
un grain fin pour la finition.
Extraction des poussières
Remarque : Cet outil multifonctions oscillant est conçu pour être connectée à un tuyau d’aspirateur ou à un
système d’extraction des poussières d’atelier.
Ceci est la méthode la plus efficace pour extraire les poussières.
ATTENTION : Débranchez toujours l’appareil avant de monter ou de retirer un accessoire.
ATTENTION : Connectez toujours l’outil multifonctions oscillant à un tuyau d’aspirateur ou à un système
d’extraction des poussières d’atelier si la poussière de ponçage contient des substances nocives, telles que
des particules de vieille peinture, de vernis, de traitements de surfaces etc. Toujours disposer des poussières
nocives de manière conforme aux lois et aux règles.
ATTENTION : Prenez toutes les mesures de protection possibles vis-à-vis des poussières toxiques ou nocives
lors du ponçage de surfaces ayant reçu de la peinture au plomb, du métal ou de certaines essences de bois,
notamment si vous n’êtes pas sûr des substances en présence. Toute personne pénétrant dans la zone de
travail doit être pourvue d’un masque conçu pour protéger contre les poussières et vapeurs toxiques. Les
enfants et les femmes enceintes ne DOIVENT PAS pénétrer dans la zone de travail. NE PAS manger, boire ni
fumer dans la zone de travail.
• Insérer un tuyau d’aspirateur adéquat dans l’orifice d’extraction de la poussière (7). L’orifice d’extraction
des poussières est conçu pour s’adapter à un tuyau standard de 32 mm de diamètre.
• Pour le travail dans les espaces restreints, l’orifice d’extraction de la poussière peut être enlevé
facilement :
1. Enlevez les outils installés (voir « Installer une lame ou un grattoir »).
2. Poussez l’arrière de l’orifice d’extraction de la poussière(7) vers le coté pour l’enlever.
Instructions d’utilisation
ATTENTION : Portez toujours les équipements de protection personnelle, tel que des protections oculaires,
auditives et respiratoires lorsque vous utilisez cet appareil.
ATTENTION : Des gants anti-vibration doivent être portés lors de l’utilisation de l’appareil, afin de protéger
l’utilisateur des effets vibratoires produits par l’appareil.
Mise en marche/arrêt
1. Tenez l’outil fermement par la poignée (6), avec le pouce sur l’Interrupteur marche-arrêt (4).
2. Glissez l’interrupteur marche-arrêt vers l’avant jusqu’à ce qu’il se bloque pour démarrer l’appareil.
3. Glissez l’interrupteur marche-arrêt vers l’arrière, pour éteindre l’appareil.
ATTENTION : Laissez l’appareil atteindre la vitesse requise avant de le mettre en contact avec la pièce
de travail.
ATTENTION : Les orifices de ventilation du moteur (8) permettent à la chaleur produite par le moteur de
s’échapper du corps de l’appareil et ils ne doivent pas se boucher. La poussière, les copeaux et la sciure
peuvent boucher les évents et provoquer l’arrêt de l’appareil avec le déclenchement de la protection
thermique. Les copeaux produits par la coupe de métal, peuvent engendrer des dommages irréversibles s’ils
rentrent dans l’appareil. Ne laissez pas la poussière, les copeaux de bois et la sciure s’accumuler. Utilisez un
aspirateur pour garder la zone de travail propre surtout dans les endroits confinés et lorsque vous travaillez
avec des substances nocives.
ATTENTION : Ne respirez pas la poussière. Portez des protections respiratoires adéquates. Certaines poussière
peuvent être toxiques, surtout celles des bois composites.
Réglage de la vitesse
• La vitesse d’oscillation de cet outil multifonctions peut se régler avec le variateur de vitesse (5).
1. Tournez le variateur de vitesse vers un réglage élevé pour augmenter la vitesse
2. Tournez le variateur de vitesse vers un réglage bas, pour diminuer la vitesse.
Remarque : Réglez la vitesse en fonction de la tâche à effectuer et du matériau. Référez-vous aux instructions
du fabricant des accessoires en ce qui concerne la vitesse requise.

Sciage
• Assurez-vous que la lame de scie soit aiguisée et en bon état.
• N’utilisez pas de lames de scie endommagées ou déformées de quelque manière que ce soit.
• Au cours du sciage de matériaux de construction légers, suivez les recommandations des fournisseurs
de matériaux.
• Réalisez des coupes plongeantes UNIQUEMENT sur des matériaux tendres, comme le bois, les plaques
de plâtre, etc.
• Si vous utilisez des lames de scie non destinées à la coupe de métal, vérifiez qu’il n’y a aucun clou ou
vis enfoncé dans la pièce de travail. Si nécessaire, retirez ces objets ou utilisez des lames de scie pour
le métal.
Ponçage
• La vitesse d’élimination de matière et la finition du ponçage obtenu sont déterminées par la feuille
abrasive utilisée, le taux d’oscillation préréglé et la pression exercée.
• Veillez à bien exercer une pression de ponçage uniforme ; cela augmente la durée utile des feuilles
abrasives.
• Augmenter la force de pression de ponçage n’entraîne pas d’augmentation de la capacité de ponçage,
mais plutôt une augmentation de l’usure de l’appareil et de la feuille de ponçage.
• Pour un ponçage de précision sur les bords, les coins et les zones difficiles d’accès, il est également
possible de travailler uniquement avec la pointe ou un bord du plateau de ponçage.
• Une feuille abrasive qui a été utilisée pour poncer du métal ne doit pas être utilisée pour poncer d’autres
matériaux.
• Brossez ou aspirez régulièrement la surface de ponçage pour s’assurer que la feuille abrasive soit en
contact direct avec la surface.
Décapage
• Pour le décapage, sélectionnez une vitesse élevée.
• Sur des surfaces tendres (par exemple, le bois), travaillez avec un angle plat et appliquez uniquement une
pression légère de sorte que le grattoir n’entaille pas la surface.
Accessoires
Une grande variété d’accessoires pour les outils multifonctions oscillants est disponible chez votre revendeur
GMC, incluant des lames de scie, des grattoirs et des accessoires de meulage et de ponçage.
Entretien
ATTENTION : Débranchez toujours de l’alimentation électrique avant d’effectuer tout entretien ou nettoyage.
Inspection générale
• Vérifiez régulièrement que toutes les vis de fixation soient bien serrées. Elles peuvent devenir lâches
avec le temps.
• Vérifiez régulièrement le bon état du câble d’alimentation avant chaque utilisation. Toute réparation en
cas d’usure ou d’endommagement doit être effectuée par un centre de réparation GMC agréé. Ce conseil
s’applique également pour les rallonges utilisées avec cet appareil.
Lubrification
Lubrifiez régulièrement les parties mobiles avec un lubrifiant à vaporiser adéquat.
Nettoyage
ATTENTION : Portez toujours un équipement de protection comprenant des lunettes de sécurité et des gants
lorsque vous nettoyez cet outil.
• Gardez l’appareil propre. La poussière et la saleté provoquent l’usure rapide des éléments internes de
l’appareil et réduit sa durabilité.
• Utilisez une brosse souple ou un chiffon sec pour le nettoyage.
• N’utilisez jamais d’agents caustiques sur les parties plastiques. Si un nettoyage sec ne suffit pas, il est
recommandé d’utiliser un détergent doux sur un chiffon humide.
• L’appareil ne doit jamais être mis en contact avec de l’eau.
• Assurez-vous que l’appareil soit complètement sec avant de l’utiliser.
• Si possible, nettoyez les orifices de ventilation à l’air comprimé propre et sec (si applicable).
Remplacement des balais
• Avec le temps, les balais de charbon du moteur s’usent.
• Si les balais sont excessivement usés, le rendement du moteur peut diminuer, la machine peut ne pas
démarrer ou une quantité anormale d’étincelles peut être observée
• Si vous soupçonnez une usure des balais, faites-les remplacer dans un centre d’entretien GMC agréé.
Remarque : Une paire de balais de charbon de rechange est fournie avec l’appareil.
Entreposage
Ranger cet outil dans un endroit sûr, sec et hors de portée des enfants.
Traitement des déchets
Lorsque l’appareil n’est plus en état de fonctionner et qu’il n’est pas réparable, recyclez l’appareil
conformément aux régulations nationales.
• Ne jetez pas les outils électriques et autres équipements électriques ou électroniques (DEEE) avec les
ordures ménagères
• Contactez les autorités locales compétentes en matière de gestion des déchets pour vous informer de la
procédure à suivre pour recycler les outils électriques.
