Device for the ltraon of potable water for human use, drinking and cooking.
We suggest you reading this manual for the correct installation
and usage of the product!
Following the DL 31/01 - respecting the EC directive 98/83 seen the rules of the European Parliament
N. 852/2004 - DM 25 of 02/07/12 emanated by the Ministry of Health.

TECHNICAL DETAILS OF THE GMW DEVICE
GMW J1 products are produced in Italy following high quality standards and are the
technical and structural evoluon of usage of the line Jumbo C1P water ltraon
system.
The GMW J1 device is studied for treang water desned to human usage, therefore
its applicaon on already potable water is suggested.
The ltraon of the J1 device happens through the C1P water ltraon system
technology, a ltraon process dened as macro, micro and ultra ltraon, besides
an absorbing acon with natural products (product tested and approved by the Ita-
lian Health Ministry, classied as “Other-Kind”).
Capacity of the lter cartridge C1P jumbo 1: up to 6500 litres - or max 12 months.
Water ux: approximately 4L/min (in direct usage lter+tap); the ux may diminish
drascally with use (the ltraon process may vary when used on water dierent
from the public supply water).
Use only with cold water: maximum 40°C.
Recommended pressure: 2/2.5 Bar. Not more than 3 Bar

Includes no return valve of ux entrance and regulaon.
According to your type of installaon, a no return output valve is possible to use.
ACCORDING TO THE DM 25/12 WE DECLARE THAT:
The C1P technology suitable for the reducon of undesirable substances present in
“potable” water is able to withhold tenaciously on the inside and without danger of
ceasing phenomena:
Example:
Many types of bacteria;
Mud, sand, rust, phenols, chlorine, hydrocarbons, radioacve parcles, petroleum;
herbicides, pescides, weed killers, etc.

ATTENTION:
This device DOESN’T need a constant periodical maintenance AS REQUESTED BY
OTHER FILTERS ON THE MARKET (acve carbons, osmosis,...) that have to ensure the
potability requirements of the treated potable water and the maintenance of the
improvements declared by the producer.
Following the DM 174/2004 we declare that:
The materials used in the GMW J1 model ltering cartridge when in contact with
the material C1P water ltraon system are cered CE and suitable for water for
human use; recyclable plasc “food contact” and 316 stainless steel inserts.
INSTALLATION AND MAINTENANCE
The installaon of the GMW J1 model can vary according to the applicaon eld,
from the simple usage (IN input - OUT output) with tap, to sll/sparkled water distri-
buon devices, vending machines, coee machines, etc.
APPLICATION FOR USAGE WITH TAP:
We SUGGEST models that are labelled GMW with specic techniques not to vary the
water quality, one/three-way models that are chosen specically for You.
INSTALLATION:
Various posions and applicaons for dierent usages: home, restaurants, fridges,
vending machines, coee machines, ice machines, etc.
Aer idenfying your applicaon eld, proceed inserng the cables in the right way
as suggested by the holes on the front of the outer shell: IN = input, OUT = output.
Please note that it’s possible to use dierent measures of juncons according to your
needs, being careful not to use iron/brass juncons in the OUT part of the lter, in
order not to inuence the quality of the ltered product!

MAINTENANCE
Proceed to change the ltering cartridge J1 C1P in the following cases:
• Drasc reducon in the water ux or in the saturaon;
• Water output lower than 0,5 L/min;
• Bad smelling water;
• Bad tasng water.
Max 12 months.
In case of a non-usage of the lter for more than a month, let the water ow for 2
minutes.
Please note that even in case of bad smelling or bad taste, GMW assures you that the
ltraon is sll perfectly funconing as well as the result of its usage.
SUBSTITUTION GUIDE:
Closing the input implant of the water supply or valve (according to the applicaon of
the device) and let the pressure inside the lter diminish. Unlock the cables of input
IN and output OUT in the following A/B opons: (see picture)

Uphold the containing shells (2)
When needed, press the cartridge through the wholes unl it comes out (2)

Remove the cartridge J1 C1P used and insert a new one.
When applying Your new lter, make sure that the cartridge is perfectly inserted on the
shell: otherwise, press cartridge J1 C1P together with the shell. (4)

Put the containing shells back one on the other again before proceeding and inser-
ng the semi blades.
Insert the semi blade pung the “A part” rst (5); keeping the shells pressed toge-
ther with your hand or placing the lter on a stable surface, insert the A part.

Proceed and insert the rst semi blade along the circumference of the lter, keeping
the two shells pressed together...
Repeat the whole operaon with the second blade, inserng the nal part of the A
part in the B.

Aerwards, proceed with the inclusion of the blade in the rotaon way, always pres-
sing the shells, making sure that the blade is placed correctly along the closing por-
on.

When the J1 C1P cartridge substuon process is completed, insert again the links/
cables IN and OUT being careful not to invert them, place the lter GMW J1 in your
usual applicaon eld.
Let the water ow for 2/3 minutes before normal usage.
This operation is necessary for the correct functioning of your new filter cartridge
J1 C1P.
The materials forming your GMW J1, rst quality plasc food contact and stainless
steel are EC products, of which GMW assures the whole recyclability.
GMW is careful towards nature and its respect, so please throw your cartridge away
in the suitable containers.
Moreover, GMW underlines that it’s acve for their clients the picking-up and dispo-
sal service of used cartridges.
WARNINGS:
The input water pressure must NEVER BE MORE THAN 3 BAR.
In case of higher pressure, please request and/or apply a suitable pressure-reducing
valve.
THE INAPPROPRIATE USAGE CAUSES THE EXCLUSION OF ANY RESPONSIBILITY OF
THE PRODUCER.
DON’T EVER USE NOR TRY THE J1 C1P CARTRIDGE WITHOUT THE SHELLS, THAT ARE
NEEDED FOR A PERFECT FUNCTIONING.
GMW WON’T BE HELD RESPONSIBLE FOR THE LACK OF OBSERVATION AND RESPECT
OF THE USE AND MAINTENANCE INDICATIONS ALREADY MENTIONED.

WARRANTY:
The ltering system GMW J1 is warranted for 2 years starng from the delivery date
(see scal document).
For the lter cartridge J1 C1P the substuon on warranty will happen only in case of
producon errors and through vericaon made by the producer.
The warranty covers the components that present manufacturing errors that will
promptly be substuted.
Damages caused by negligence, wrong usage and/or wrong observaon or usage of
this manual must be excluded from this.
