GENERAL INFORMATION
INSTALLATION/OPERATION
SAFETY
Thank you for choosing a LiFTFORCE LPX
2.0 Lithium Material Handling Baery. This
baery system is completely self-contained
and can be used as a direct replacement
for the most current in-use lead acid and
lithium-ion systems.
Scope of supply
The following parts are included in the
scope of supply:
• LiFTFORCE LPX 2.0 Lithium Material
Handling Baery Documentaon
(installaon and operaon manual)
• External display (oponal)
• GNB Charger (oponal)
Aer unpacking the parts, please examine
them for possible damage. If any damage is
found, please do not use the product; if in
doubt, please contact the manufacturer.
The described product is a Lithium
rechargeable baery system for use in
material handling applicaons.
General Safety Instrucons
Informaon and instrucons aached directly on the LiFTFORCE
LPX 2.0 Lithium Material Handling Baery system must always be
followed. These instrucons contain basic informaon and guid-
ance to be noted and followed during operaon and maintenance
and must be read by all personnel.
The GNB Lithium-ion baery system may not be operated without
precise knowledge of these Installaon and Operang Instrucons
or without strict adherence to all safety instrucons. Knowledge
of the contents of the Installaon and Operang manual is a
fundamental requirement to protect people from danger, to avoid
errors and to operate the system safely and fault-free.
The Installaon and Operang Instrucons must
be accessible to operang and maintenance personnel at all
mes. Each person given the task of operang or maintaining the
system must have read and understood the instrucons.
The health and safety informaon refers to the current direcves
of the European Union. In other countries the relevant laws and

Quick Start Guide
• Check the baery housing, the cables and connectors
for damages.
• Switch the baery on by pressing the ON/ OFF buon for
one second, observe the buon.
• In normal operaon the buon ashes green once in 5
seconds. Flashing red color indicates a warning or failure
state. Please refer to the secon Warning and Alarms in
this case.
• At the delivery state the baery SOC display should
indicate an SOC of 30—50%
• The baery must be fully charged prior to rst usage.
The LiFTFORCE LPX 2.0 Lithium Material Handling Baery
communicates status to the vehicle via the CAN bus or to
the operator via an external GNB display.
Deep Discharge Protecon
When charge level is low, the buzzer pulses steadily. The
baery must be charged immediately. The baery will turn
o if deeply discharged.
WARNING:
Deep discharge should be avoided at all costs as the sudden
cut o of the baery can lead to damage and hazards, such as
spontaneous stop of the vehicle.
The reset buon can be pressed once to get the vehicle to the
charger. Aer that, the baery remains turned o in order to
avoid further damage. The vehicle now has to be towed to the
charge with auxiliary means.
ATTENTION:
If the baery has shut o due to a low discharge level, it must
be charged immediately. Long shelf mes of discharged baer-
ies are to be avoided at all costs! (see Storage) Non-observance
can lead to baery damage.

Storage
Before being placed in storage the baery should be charged to
50 % SOC charged and disconnected from both the vehicle and
the charger. The LiFTFORCE LPX 2.0 Lithium Material Handling
Baery system has a very low self-discharge and can be put into
storage for up to 12 months. It must then be recharged If baer-
ies are taken out of service, they should be stored in a dry and
frost free room. Please nd the minimum and maximum storage
temperature in Table 1.
Display
The display indicates the State of Charge (SOC) of the baery
from 100 to 0%. The LED on the right of the gauge will ash
when SOC is low and will stay on as an indicator to the operator
to charge the baery. If the operator ignores this advice, the
baery will automacally shut down at 0% SOC. The wrench
symbol will ash if there is a baery fault. If this occurs, please
contact a GNB Service Engineer.
The advanced display can be seen in Figures 3, 4, 5, and 6 below.
This display shows more detailed informaon (Voltage, current,
max/ min Temperature, SOC, charge mode) and can be ed
anywhere with a display mount.
