ASSEMBLY, OPERATION, PREVENTITIVE MAINTENANCE
1. FEATURES
Depending on the power cord type this fan heater may be used only inside warehouses and
workshops, building sites or greenhouses. It incorporates a thermostat and a self-resetting
thermal cut-out to control the heating elements. The thermostat feels the air temperature
and controls the surrounding temperature. The fan motor is not controlled by thermostat
and it keeps on working when the thermostat cuts off the heating element. The self-
resetting thermal cut-out will switch off the heater to ensure the safety when overheating.
2. ASSEMBLY
Unpacking: after removing the packing material, make sure the product is in perfect
condition and that there are no visible damaged parts. The packaging materials
(Polyethylene bags, polystyrene etc.), must be disposed of in an appropriate refuse
collection container. Recycle cardboard.
3. BEFORE USE
Prior to each use conduct a visual inspection by checking for abnormal conditions, such as
cracked joins and damaged, loose, or missing parts.
When using the heater for the first time, you may notice a slight emission of smoke. This is
quite normal and it stops after a short time. The heating element is made of stainless steel
and during production the element is coated with an oil protection coat. The oil protection
coat may smoke slightly when first heated.

4. OPERATION
1. Position the fan heater so that it stands upright on a firm level surface and at a safe
distance from wet environments and flammable objects.
2. Connect the fan heater to the 240V mains power.
3. Set the thermostat knob to the MAX setting and let the heater operate with full power.
4. The fan heater will switch on when the heating selector is set to one of the power
settings.
5. Once the room reaches the required temperature, the heating element will dim but
the fan will keep rotating. Once the temperature decreases, the heating element will
illuminate once again. The fan heater now starts and stops automatically and thus
keeps the room temperature constant.
6. Before switching off the heater, ensure the thermostat is set to the MIN position and
turn the switch to fan position, let the appliance cool down for two minutes then turn
off the heater and remove the power cord from the mains power outlet.
5. STORAGE
This 1098T should always be stored in a dust free dry location on a level surface.
6. MAINTENANCE
Disconnect power prior to any maintenance.
The 1098T should always be cleaned with a damp sponge and mild detergent, ensuring no
water/detergent enters the internals of the 1098T. Do Not use solvent to clean the heater.
7. SERVICE & REPAIR
Any 1098T found damaged in any way, or found to be worn or operates abnormally should
be removed from service until repaired by an authorised service agent. Owners and / or
operators should be aware that repair of this product may require specialised equipment
and knowledge. Only authorised parts, labels and decals shall be used on this equipment.
Annual inspection of the 1098T is recommended and can be made by an authorised repair
