About this guide
We’re here to help you get the most from your corded stick
vacuum, so please keep hold of this manual for future use.

THERE ARE, HOWEVER, SOME OPERATIONAL
PRECAUTIONS YOU SHOULD BE AWARE OF.
1. Read all warnings & instructions in this manual to
ensure you get the best out of your product.
2. Don’t use the stick vac for anything other than
its intended use. The appliance is not suitable for
commercial use. This appliance is only for household
domestic indoor use and car cleaning.
3. Do not use if the stick vac, cord or plug is damaged.
4. If the supply cord is damaged, it must be replaced
by the manufacturer, its service agent or similarly
qualified persons in order to avoid hazard.
5. Remove all packaging prior to use. Inspect the product
for any damage before use. If damage is found, notify
ASDA to exchange the product.
6. Before connecting the stick vac to the power, check
the voltage shown on the appliance corresponds with
the voltage in your home. If it doesn’t, contact your
local store.
7. Keep the stick vac away from heat sources or direct
sunlight.
8. WARNING: Keep the appliance dry.
9. T o avoid electric shock or injury, never immerse the
stick vac body, cord or plug in liquid or water.
10. Do not handle the appliance with wet hands.
11. Keep away from harsh or abrasive cleaning agents or
solvents.

12. Ensure you assemble the stick vac correctly before
use.
13. Do not use attachments not recommended by the
manufacturer.
14. Always disconnect the appliance from the power
supply before assembling, disassembling or cleaning.
15. This appliance can be used by children aged from 8
years and above and persons with reduced physical,
sensory or mental capabilities or lack of experience
and knowledge if they have been given supervision or
instruction concerning use of the appliance in a safe
way and understand the hazards involved. Children
shall not play with the appliance.
16. ASDA does not recommend allowing children to
operate this appliance.
17. Cleaning and user maintenance shall not be made by
children without supervision.
18. Only carry the stick vac by the carry handle.
19. DO NOT use the stick vac if it has been dropped,
damaged, left outdoors or dropped into water.
20. Do not pull or carry by the cord, use the cord as a
handle, close a door on the cord, pull the cord around
sharp corners or edges, or expose the cord to heated
surfaces.
21. Ensure fingers and objects are never placed in any part
of the vacuum cleaner. Clothing or hair may become
trapped in the vacuum if used improperly.
22. Keep hair, loose clothing, jewellery, fingers, feet and all
parts of your body away from openings and moving
parts.
23. Keep all air vents clear and free of dust, lint, hair and
anything else that may reduce air flow.
24. Avoid directing the stick vac near naked flames as the
air discharged may extinguish gas fires and pilot lights
or disturb ashes in an open fire.

25. DO NOT use the stick vac to suck up large objects or
objects that are likely to damage the vacuum cleaner.
26. DO NOT attempt to vacuum long hair, string, pieces of
cloth etc., as these may clog the vacuum cleaner.
27. DO NOT vacuum hot items e.g. cigarettes, matches,
ashes.
28. DO NOT vacuum fine dust, such as brick dust, plaster
dust etc. This may damage the vacuum cleaner.
29. DO NOT vacuum hard or metal objects, nails, pins etc.
30. DO NOT pick up toxic or flammable materials or use
in the presence of explosive or toxic dust, liquids or
vapour.
31. DO NOT put objects into openings.
32. Use only on dry indoor surfaces.
33. Never use to suck up water or liquids.
34. DO NOT use without all the filters in place or with any
filter blocked.
35. DO NOT use the stick vac to clean animals.
36. Switch the cleaner off before plugging or unplugging
the vacuum cleaner into the mains supply, and when
attaching or removing accessories.
37. T ake extra care when vacuuming stairs.
38. Keep any attachments away from your face and body.
39. This vacuum has a thermal safety device which cuts off
the power when overheated. If this happens, unplug
the vacuum and allow it to cool down completely
before reusing.
40. Wrap the cord loosely around the handle and dust
canister before storing.
41. The appliance shall not be left unattended while it is
connected to the supply mains.
42. Environmental information: If at anytime in the future
you should need to dispose of this product, please
note that, in the UK, waste electrical products/batteries
should not be disposed of with household waste.

Features
AUTOMATIC THERMAL CUT OUT
A safety thermostat inside the cleaner protects the motor
from overheating if the airways or filters are clogged. If
the stick vac suddenly stops working during operation,
switch off and unplug immediately. Allow the motor to
cool for an hour, empty the dust canister and thoroughly
clean the filters and airways. Plug in the vacuum again and
switch on. The vacuum should now operate normally.
This is a vacuum cleaner for general purpose, of which
measurement and calculation methods used comply with EN
60312-1 & EU regulation No. 666/2013

Assembling/disassembling
and using the stick vac
Before assembling or disassembling
attachments, ensure the stick vac is
not plugged into the mains supply
and is switched off.
1. Align the top of the extension
pole with the bottom of the stick
vac main body and push up until
the extension pole clicks into
place.
2. Push the other end of the
extension pole into the top of the
floor head. Again it should click
into place.
The stick vac is now assembled,
ready for use.
3. Pop the plug into an electrical
socket and turn the power on.

Replacing the attachments
When changing the attachments ensure
the stick vac is switched off.
The floor head and crevice/brush multi-
tool can fit directly onto the main body
for close up vacuuming and low level
dusting and cleaning. For high level
cleaning the crevice/brush multi-tool can
fit on the end of the extension pole.
1. To use the stick vac more as a
handheld vac, remove the extension
pole and replace with the floor head.
Press the release clip on the top of
the extension pole (1) and pull the
extension pole away from the main
body (2).
2. Remove the floor head from the
extension pole in the same way
by pressing the release clip on the
floor head and pulling away the
extension pole.
4. Turn the stick vac on by pushing the
power on/off switch downwards.
5. Move the floor head back and forth
over the surface. Use even strokes.
Don’t press hard; allow the floor head
to suck away the debris.
6. When finished turn off the power on
the vac and to the mains supply.
Note: Lean the stick vac safely against a
wall or surface, or lay the vac down on
the floor when not in use.

3. Align the main body with
the top of the floor head
and push down until it
clicks into place. Turn on
the power.
This set up is useful when
cleaning stairs or sofas.
When finished turn the
power off on the stick vac
and at the mains supply.
Note: Take care when
vacuuming stairs. It is best
to plug in the stick vac at the
bottom of the stairs and work
upwards so the cable isn’t in
the way and doesn’t become a
trip hazard.
4. For low level cleaning
with the crevice/brush
multi-tool, simply slide the
attachment directly onto
the end of the main body.
For high level cleaning,
slide the attachment onto
the end of the extension
pole.
5. To use the brush
attachment on the crevice
tool, pull the top brush
section in the direction of
the arrow until it clicks into
place.
6. To use the crevice tool,
simply push the brush back
to the reverse position.

Removing and emptying
the dust canister
Ensure the stick vac is switched off
before emptying the dust canister.
As a tip, it is easier to remove
the dust canister without any
attachments on the vac.
1. Press the dust canister release
button located underneath the
dust canister (1) and pull away
from the main body, keeping the
dust canister fairly upright (2).
2. Pinch either side of the filter
assembly and pull upwards away
from the dust canister. Empty the
debris from the dust canister into
a household bin.
Note: Do not allow the dust canister
to overfill. Don’t exceed the MAX
level marker. Empty regularly.
Everytime you empty the dust
canister, check the filter assembly
and tap gently over the household
bin to remove any excess dust.
3. Replace the filter assembly
into the dust canister. Hook the
channel on the top of the dust
canister with the lug on the main
body (1). Push the dust canister
back towards the main body until
you hear it click into place (2).
