GODREJ UV CASE OPERATIONAL DESCRIPTION
COMMON INSTRUCTIONS
Connect the Godrej UV Case to a 5 amp AC (alternating current) main supply. Always ensure that you
are using a proper earthed 230 V AC supply.
Before opening the door, it is always recommended to switch OFF the Godrej UV Case using the On/
Off switch.
Do not place things on top of each other.
Do not keep batteries, power banks, and medicines in the Godrej UV Case.
For safety purposes, auto-cut off provision is available. During the UV sanitization process, if someone
opens the door, the UV lamps will switch off automatically.
Switch ON the AC (alternating current) main supply. The On/ Off switch is
provided to operate the Godrej UV Case.
Godrej UV Case has a settable timer which is set to 5 minutes (300 seconds)
(default setting). Press the “+” or “-” button provided on the timer to set your
customized time. (Range of time can be set from a minimum of 180 seconds
to a maximum of 999 seconds).
Rotate the knob anticlockwise to open the door. Put your belongings i.e
mobile, watch, car keys, packaged food, etc. inside the cabinet. Multiple items can be placed at once.
Close the door and rotate the knob clockwise to lock the door. Then, switch ON the power supply of
the Godrej UV Case using the On/ Off switch.
Once the door is locked, UV lamps of the Godrej UV Case will switch ON automatically. As per the
default setting, the timer starts reverse counting from 300 seconds. When the timer reaches “0”
seconds, the timer automatically switches off the Godrej UV Case. The buzzer beep notifies the user
about the successful completion of the sanitization cycle. Now, switch OFF the Godrej UV Case using
the On/ Off switch. This will stop the buzzer from beeping. Open the Godrej UV Case to take out the
sanitized items.

Switch ON the AC (alternating current) main supply. Then, switch ON the
Godrej UV Case using the On/ Off switch provided on the front panel.
Godrej UV Case has a settable timer which is set to 5 minutes (300 seconds)
(default setting). On switching the Godrej UV Case, timer shows 300
seconds over the display. The indicator and the buzzer beep notifies the
user that the UV Case is ready to start the sanitization process. (Range of
time can be set from a minimum of 180 seconds to a maximum of 999
seconds).
Rotate the knob anticlockwise to open the door. Put your belongings i.e mobile, watch, car keys,
packaged food, etc. inside the cabinet. Multiple items can be placed at once.
Close the door and rotate the knob clockwise to lock the door.
Once the door is locked, UV lamps of the Godrej UV Case will switch ON automatically. As per the
default setting, the timer starts reverse counting from 300 seconds. When the timer reaches “0”
seconds, the timer automatically switches off the Godrej UV Case. The buzzer beep notifies the user

It is recommended to keep the Godrej UV Case ON for a minimum of 5 minutes (300 seconds) to get
the best UV sanitization result.

Note:
In this timer, the door knob acts an input switch for the UV Case. Hence, if the door knob is 1st
closed and then the UV Case is powered ON using the On/ Off switch provided on the front panel,
the sanitization cycle will not resume.To start a new cycle it is necessary to keep the power switch
ON. Place your essentials, close the door and rotate the door knob to the closed position for the
cycle to resume.
PROCESS TO SET YOUR CUSTOMIZE TIME
Long press the “SET” button, till the right hand side’s first digit over the display starts to blink. Then,
by using the “^” button change the right hand side’s first digit as per your requirement.
To set the second digit, press the “<” button twice. The second digit over the display will start to blink.
Press the “^” button to change the second digit as per your requirement.
To set the third digit, press “<” button four times. The third digit over the display will start to blink.
Press the “^” button to change the third digit as per your requirement. (Range of time can be set from
a minimum of 180 seconds to a maximum of 999 seconds).
Once all the 3 digits are set, press the “SET” key once or wait for 20 seconds, your customized value
will be displayed. Now, the Godrej UV Case will start working as per the customized time.

INFORMATION ON E-WASTE
HANDLING AND MANAGEMENT
Dear Customer,
The Ministry of Environment and Forests have published the E-waste (Management and Handling)
Rules 2010, which comes in effect from 1st May 2012. E-waste is defined as any electrical or
electronic component of products in whole or in part, or rejects from their manufacturing or repair
process, which are intended to be discarded. These rules apply to every producer, consumer or bulk
consumer involved in the manufacture, sale, and purchase and processing of electrical and
electronic equipment or components as specified in Schedule 1 (please refer to our website
www.godrej.com in the 'Good & Green' section of CSR module for more details). Under these rules,
specific roles and responsibilities are defined for producers, consumers and recyclers handling and
managing e-waste.
E-waste is to be managed in an environmentally sound manner, which means taking steps to
ensure that health and environment are protected from adverse effects of hazardous substance
contained in such wastes. Rule 6 of the E- waste (Management and Handling) Rules 2010 states
that bulk consumers of electrical and electronic equipment shall be responsible for recycling of the
e- waste generated by them. Bulk consumer means bulk users of electronic and electrical
equipment such as Central Government or State Government Departments, public sector
undertakings, banks, educational institutions, multinational organizations, and international
agencies, private companies that are registered under the Factories Act, 1948 and Companies
Act,1956.
The bulk consumers have to ensure that the e-waste generated by them is channelized to
authorized collection center or is taken back by the producers. They shall maintain records of
e-waste generated by them in Form 2 and make such records available for scrutiny by the State
Pollution Control or the Pollution Control Committee concerned. All consumers of electrical and
electronic equipment, irrespective of their status as bulk consumers or not, shall ensure that
e-waste
generated by them is channelized to authorized collection Centre(s) or registered dismantler(s), or
recycler(s) or is returned to the pick-up/take back services provided by the producers. (Please refer

All our products, intended to be recycled under the category of e-waste (as defined above), carry a
label or stamp of the WEEE symbol (A wheelie bin with a cross) , which states that it falls under the
hazardous waste category and is not to be disposed of along with normal garbage. We seek your
support in ensuring environmentally sound management of e-waste and aid us in sustaining our
earth's natural resources and maintaining the earth's green cover intact for the benefit of our future
generations.
