Includes: 12 Volt DC Plug, Alligator Battery Clamps, 9.5ft wire, Solar Panel, and the
three-point stand.
Installation:
Set the solar panel in a secure place angled to face the sun using the adjustable three-
point stand.
Using with the GOLD MAGIC:
To connect the solar charger to the Gold Magic® remove the
“hole plug” that is located on the back of the control box.
Bring the pre-wired connector from inside the control box
through this hole and connect it to the solar charger.
Your solar charger is always charging. The 7 watt charger
will add up to 10 hours per day of running time to the Gold
Magic®. The amount of charge will depend on the amount
of sun light, your latitude, longitude, the time of the year and
whether or not you keep the cell aimed at the sun. This solar
cell will produce some charge even under articial light or
cloudy days.
Other Uses:
The Gold Magic Solar Trickle Charger comes com-
plete with accessory ttings to allow you to charge
other 12 Volt DC batteries. Plug the attachment with
the Cigarette Style Plug into the 12 Volt DC socket
in vehicle to trickle charge your car battery. To use
the Alligator Clamp accessory connect the alligator
clamps correctly by matching the red clamp which is
positive (+) to the positive (+) terminal on your bat-
tery. Connect the black clamp which is Negative (-) to
the Negative (-) terminal on your battery.
WARNING Follow this carefully to not cause any bodily harm. Wrong Connections
may cause sparking or explosion.
Note:
This solar panel has a built in blocking diode to prevent reverse discharge. The use of this
panel is not recommended while vehicle is in use.

What type of batteries does this panel maintain?
All rechargeable 12V batteries like those used in Cars, Boats, RV’s, Motorcycles, and
PWC’s
Can I use this solar panel outdoors?
Yes, this solar panel is water resistant. Light rain will not adversely affect the unit but it
is not designed to work in standing water or heavy rain for an extended period of time.
The weatherproong includes UV protection and protects from weather effects of 35°F to
175°F (-37°C to 79°C)
How long does it take to charge a battery?
This solar panel can generate 7 Watts of power per hour, which is equal to 467mA of cur-
rent under ideal conditions. For example, under ideal conditions, the panel will generate
7 Watts x 7hours x 7 days per week for a total of 343 Watts of power. The Gold Magic
battery will require 8 to 12 hours to fully recharge depending on how far the battery had
been discharged.
Do I need a charge controller?
No, a solar battery charge controller is only needed for panels of 15 Watts or greater
Can I extend the wire?
Without loss of power or voltage the 9.5’ wire may be extended to a maximum length of
25’ with 16 gauge wire. Ensure proper connections
Can I start/drive my vehicle while the unit is connected to the battery?
No, for safety reasons please make sure the panel is not in use while you are using your
vehicle.
How do I know if the panel is working?
To measure the voltage of the panel use a voltmeter. The Voltage reading should be be-
tween 16 and 25 DC Volts in full sun.

Problem:
My panel is not functioning.
Ensure battery is operational
Ensure that the distance of the wire is no longer than 25’ and all connections are secure.

Gold Magic Limited Warranty
The Gold Magic® 7 Watt Solar Trickle Charger is warranted by Gold Magic Inc against
defect in workmanship or materials under normal use for two years after the date of pur-
chase from Gold Magic Inc or to the nal consumer when purchased from an authorized
Gold Magic® dealer.
Any part which is determined by Gold Magic Inc to be defective in material or work-
manship and returned to Gold Magic Inc shipping cost prepaid, will be, as the exclusive
remedy, repaired or replaced at Gold Magic Inc’s option.
