OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS

GENERAL CARE AND SAFETY GUIDE
Please read all instructions carefully before using this appliance and keep
them for future reference.
1. Use only the voltage specified on the rating plate.
2. Do not use this appliance on a wet surface, or where it can fall or be pushed into
water.
3. Do not reach for an appliance that has fallen into water. Switch off at the power
supply and unplug immediately.
4. This chopper is intended for household use only and not for commercial or
industrial use.
5. The motor must always be switched off before the chopper is connected with the
mains supply.
6. Keep hands and utensils out of jug while blending.
7. The chopper is not to be operated while empty (i.e. without solid or liquid foodstuff).
8. Allow any hot liquids to cool to a lukewarm temperature before pouring them into
the blending unit.
9. Do not operate the chopper for more than 2 minutes at any time.
10. Always operate chopper with cover in place.
11. CAUTION: The blades are sharp –handle with care.
12. To reduce the risk of injury never place the blades on the base without the jar
properly attached.
13. Ensure the power cord is not left hanging over the edge of a table or bench top.
14. Avoid contacting moving parts.
15. The use of attachments not recommended or sold by the manufacturer may cause
fire, electrical shock or injury.
16. Do not operate the appliance with a damaged cord, plug or after the appliance
malfunctions or has been dropped or damaged in any manner. Return to a qualified
electrical person for examination, electrical or mechanical adjustment, service or
repair.
17. Do not twist, kink or wrap the cord around the appliance, as this may cause the
insulation to weaken and split.
18. Do not remove plug from power socket until the appliance has been switched off.
19. Do not remove plug from power socket by pulling flex - always grip plug.
20. Do not allow cord to come in contact with heated surfaces during operation.
21. Use this appliance only as described in this manual. Any other use is not
recommended by the manufacturer and may cause electric shock or injury.
22. This appliance is not intended for use by young children or infirm persons unless
they have been adequately supervised by a responsible person to ensure that they
can use the appliance safely.
23. Young children should be supervised to ensure they do not play with this appliance.
24. Do not use abrasive cleaning products on this appliance. Always remove the plug
from the mains supply before cleaning.
25. Do not plug the appliance into the power supply until it is fully assembled and
always unplug before disassembling the appliance or handling the blade.

care, as described in this leaflet, it will give you years of useful service. Please read
these instructions carefully.

OPERATING YOUR CHOPPER
Your Mini Chopper has 2 speeds and a pulse function.
P = Pulse
1 = Low Speed
2 = High Speed
0 = Off
WARNING: The blades of the chopper are extremely sharp DO NOT touch the blades.
Your chopper is fitted with a safety feature that will not allow it to function unless the lid
is fitted correctly. The tab on the lid must be located into the slot in the housing. DO
NOT attempt to override the safety interlock mechanism.
BEFORE FIRST USE
1. Place the motor base on a level work surface
2. Place the chopping bowl on the base and turn it anti clockwise without forcing until
the chopping bowl is locked into place.
3. Taking care not to touch the blade, place the chopping knife onto the chute of the
chopping bowl and press down until the knife is situated approx 2mm above the
bottom of the bowl.
4. Prepare the required food an place into the bowl, ensuring the bowl is not filled to
more than half way.
5. Securely fit the lid ensuring the tab on the lid is located into the slot in the housing
(safety interlock mechanism) otherwise the appliance will not function.
6. Do not operate this appliance for more than 2 minutes without interruption in order to
prevent overheating.After 2 minutes use allow to cool for 1 minute before using
again.
7. The pulse setting is not designed to be used continuously, use for a maximum of 10
seconds at a time.
8. When food has reached its desired consistency, allow the motor to stop, switch off at
the mains then remove the lid.
9. Remove the food from the bowl using a plastic or wooden spoon.
10.Always unplug the unit when not in use.
NOTE: Wait until the blade completely stops before removing the lid.

CARE AND CLEANING
Important: Be sure the chopper is unplugged before cleaning.
1. Remove the chopping blade taking care not to touch the blade.
2. To remove the chopping bowl turn the bowl clockwise and lift off the base unit.
3. Wash the bowl and blade carefully in warm soapy water.
4. Wipe over the outside of the base unit with a dampened cloth and polish with a soft
dry cloth. DO NOT IMMERSE THE BASE UNIT IN WATER
5. DO NOT use scouring agents or abrasive cleaners as these may damage the
surfaces.

Your Goldair product has been inspected and tested and is guaranteed subject to the
following for a period to two years from the date of purchase against defects in
workmanship and materials. During this period, such defects will be rectified by
repair or replacement of the product purchased. Your product contains no user
serviceable components and this warranty becomes invalid if in our opinion the
product has been misused, abused, incorrectly installed, tampered with, connected
to an electrical supply not corresponding with the name plate specification, or
subjected to power surges. The warranty does not include any labour or other
associated expense that may be involved in removal or installation of the product.
Normal wear and tear is expressly excluded.
If your Goldair product fails to operate satisfactorily, please return it to the retailer
from whom it was purchased. To obtain a repair or replacement product under this
warranty, you will need to produce satisfactory evidence of date of purchase. The
completed warranty and purchase receipt must be presented with the product. The
warranty should be filled out at the time of purchase. It is in your interest to make
sure this is done.
If the product is to be replaced (cannot be repaired) then that replacement will be of
the same or similar product or accessory excluding packaging, instruction card etc.
Where a replacement product is supplied, this shall be guaranteed for the balance of
the original warranty period.
Any model that is no longer available will be replaced by a model of a value and with
such features as we consider appropriate in the circumstances. Goldair Ltd is not
responsible for freight forwarding charges, losses or damage in transit.
If service is required after the warranty period has expired, the product should be
returned to a qualified electrical technician. Service outside of the warranty period
will be at your cost.

In accordance with the above act consumers are advised that: The manufacturer
does not undertake that repair facilities and parts are necessarily available for this
product.
If any of the provisions of the foregoing are contrary to any relevant legislation, then
that provision shall be deemed to be excluded from the warranty and the rest of the
provisions will continue to apply.
