Use the EDM only when line of sight with your trolley can be maintained, and
never steer the trolley towards people, or use in conned spaces.
Use free-wheel mode, or power-off mode when around the club house or in
conned spaces.
The EDM is tolerant of light rainfall, however do not use in heavy rain or
submerged.
The EDM is not to be used by or around children, or while operator is under the
inuence of alcohol or drugs.
The EDM must be disconnected from the trolley and powered OFF before

FITTING AND STARTING
ELECTRIC DRIVE MODULE
10
EDM and Remote Control must remain powered OFF until securely installed in
trolley and all three wheels are tted. Refer to Decolt Grand user manual.
Do not insert hands/arms or any body parts through wheels while mounting
onto EDM, or after mounted.
It is recommended that free-wheel mode is used while manoeuvring the trolley
around clubhouse.
Release both main drive wheels slightly outward, and re-lock.
Check wheels turn freely and are disengaged from motors.
Press POWER button and check battery level.
Turn remote control ON.
Check motors turn when commanded.
Turn remote control OFF.
When in open area, engage wheels to full drive mode.
Turn EDM ON, and remote control ON.

OPERATING EDM EQUIPPED TROLLEY
12
Command trolley forward 10, 20, 30 metres – press 10 or 20 or 30 button.
Turn right – press RIGHT button and hold for the time you want to turn right.
Turn left – press LEFT button and hold for the time you want to turn left.
A second press increases reverse speed.
To reverse trolley, press Reverse button.

To increase forward speed press Forward button repeatedly.
Comply with all safety instructions on Page 4.

PAIRING REMOTE CONTROL TO EDM01
14
If the pairing process was unsuccessful (red light is ashing instead of
green light), switch both units OFF, check the USB cable (or change it) and
repeat the above process again.
USB cable and switch the EDM and the remote control OFF.
Once the EDM and remote control are switched back on, the trolley is ready to
use.
If green light comes on, the pairing process was successful. Disconnect
Once green or red light is ashing, release both buttons.
On remote control, press and hold both ON/OFF and STOP buttons until
green or red light comes on.
Switch remote control ON.
Switch electric drive ON.
Connect remote control into the EDM using USB cable.
In the event of loss of communication between remote control and EDM01, or
use of a new remote control with your EDM it may be necessary to “re-pair” the
connection.

CALIBRATION OF GYROSCOPIC
SENSOR
16
If EDM01 tends to turn when commanded forward, it might be necessary to
recalibrate the sensors that control straight movement.
Connect remote control to the EDM using USB cable.
Turn EDM ON.
Turn remote control ON.
Place EDM on level surface.
On the remote control, press and hold ON/OFF button followed by button “10”
until green and red light ash in alternate sequence.
Wait until calibration is conrmed – this is displayed by multiple red or green light
signals.
Once red or green light is ashing, release both buttons.
If green light comes on, the calibration process was successful.
Disconnect USB cable and switch both the EDM01 and the remote control OFF.
When you turn both units back ON, they will be ready for use.
If the calibration process was unsuccessful (red light comes on instead of green),
turn both units OFF, check the USB cable (or change it) and repeat the process.

ELECTRIC DRIVE – ASSEMBLY
18

electric drive – assembly
20
Attach wheels to the electric drive. Wheel lock is in the engaged position.
Wheels will latch into the rst free-wheel position.
Prepare the bag without the front wheel.
Hold the bag with one hand so that you can reach axle lock with your ngers.
Using your other hand, hold the electric drive by inserting 2 ngers in the ope-
ning on the drive unit. Your palm should face GT logo.
Insert the electric drive into the opening for the shaft until you feel that the shaft
touched the pin of the axle lock.
At this moment, unlatch axle lock and keep pushing the electric drive inside while
releasing the lever of the lock.
Continue pushing the electric drive inside until you hear that the lock pin fully
clicks in.
Verify that the electric drive is rmly attached to the bag.

electric drive – assembly
22
Attach the front wheel – see section “Three-wheel version – assembly”.
Now the trolley is still in manual version as the wheels are locked in the
rst free-wheel position and therefore are not connected to the electric
drive. You can use this setup to manually push the trolley and maneuver
in busier areas such as in front of the clubhouse.

electric drive – assembly
24
Once you are ready to use the electric drive, put the wheel lock lever up and
push the wheels further into the electric drive.
Put the wheel lock lever back down and verify, that the wheels are fully latched
in this position.
In order to fully lock them into the drive, you need to turn the wheels slightly
while pushing in.
You will feel with your hand when the connection with the drive is completed.
The trolley is now ready – use the remote control to drive it.

Deep cycle the battery from time to time to prolong capacity.
TECHNICAL DATA AND OPERATING
Safety Features of the EDM01
The EDM01 is tted with an on-board gyroscope to ensure straight line
operation on slopes.
Gyroscope is factory calibrated.
In the event the trolley is not operating in a straight line on sloped surface, it is ne-
cessary to recalibrate the gyroscopic sensor - see instructions on page 9.
If the trolley continues to fail to maintain a straight line on sloped surface even
after repeated calibration process, please refer to our customer service or to your
distributor.
Do not operate at extended distances or outside line-of-sight.
The EDM01 will automatically shutdown if the battery level is too low
or if communication with remote control is lost.
The trolley may be used manually in free-wheel mode.
Transportation
The EDM contains Lithium-Ion batteries exceeding 300Whr capacity.
These batteries, under current regulations may not be carried by air.
Do not attempt to carry as hand luggage or checked luggage on any aircraft,
or dispatch as air freight.
Most road freight carriers have restrictions on carriage of Lithium Ion batteries.
Inform any road freight company of the contents of this product before carriage.
Always remove EDM from trolley, and power OFF prior to transportation.

PROBLEM SOLVING
28
The EDM01 is not responding
to remote control commands.
Power off, wait 30 seconds, power on both remote cont-
rol and EDM01.
Check charge level / recharge both remote control and
EDM01.
Follow Re-Pairing procedure.
EDM01 is in free-wheel mode.
Turn OFF EDM01.
Release wheel lock levers and push both wheels fully in.
Check both engaged with drive shaft and return the
wheellock lever down to locked position.
Turn ON EDM01.
Turn OFF EDM01.
Trolley may be pushed manually with drive mode
engagedand EDM01 turned OFF – or engage free-wheel
mode.Turned OFF – or engage free-wheel mode.
Turn ON EDM01
Check behaviour of trolley on level surface.
If the behaviour persists, recalibration of gyroscope may
be required - see instructios on page 9.
If the problem continues even after repeated successful
re-calibration, please contact your dealer or our help desk.
The EDM01 appears to be
operating, but one or both
wheels do not turn.
The trolley is very hard to
push with EDM01 tted.
The trolley does not maintain
a straight line with EDM01
operating.
