DVD (Digital Versatile Disc) is a digital video medium under
the MPEG IIformat, featuring a variety of revolutionary
entertainment capabilities. The MPEG II video compression
technology provides capacityfor an excellent picture of
minimum 500 linesresolution on screen, up to 8 language
soundtracks, up to9 views from different camera angles and
up to 32language subtitles (provided the DVD disc itself
supports these features).

Each DVD disccontains various features depending
on production ofthe disc. Below are some of the
symbols representing thefeatures:
Regional Code /Video output system
Dolby Digital Surround
DTS Digital Surround
Number ofAudio Tracks
Number of Sub-titles
Some features contained inthis DVD player arerelated to the DVDdisc's
software.
Some features cannot beperformed if the discdoes not support thefeature,
or requires special settings.
Check the features printedon the disc's packingor follow the instructions
of the Disc's onscreen menu.
Care of disc
Hold the discwith fingers. Hold the disc's outer edge
and/or the centerspindle hole. Do not touch the disc
surface.
Do not bendor press the disc. Do NOTexpose the disc
to direct sunlightor heating sources.
Store discs incabinet vertically, in dry condition.
Prevent exposure to:
Direct sunlight
Heat or exhaust from a heating device.
Extreme humidity.
Clean the discsurface with a soft, dry cleaning cloth.
Wipe the discsurface gently, radically, from center
toward the outeredge.
Do not applythinner, alcohol chemical solvent, or sprays
when cleaning. Suchcleaning fluids will permanently
damage the discsurface.
The player has builtin copyright
protection technology that
prevents copying from aDVD
disc to any media.
If a videorecorder is connected to
the player,the video output image
will be distortedduring recording.
