Frame advance
Press the Play/pause button to
pause playback.
Press the Next button. Each time
you press the button, the tape will
advance by one frame.
To resume normal playback, press
the Play/pause button.
Tracking
The VCR is fitted with an automatic tracking
system, however manual tracking adjustment
is provided.
The manual tracking should only be used if:
• The picture is poor in playback.
• There is noise at the top or bottom of the
screen in slow search.
• The paused picture is unstable.
To adjust the tracking, use the VCR
tracking +/- buttons until the
picture is watchable.
Rewind/Fast forward
To rewind a video cassette, press the
Skip reverse button whilst the
VCR is in the stop mode.
To fast forward through a video
cassette, press the Skip forward
button whilst the VCR is in the stop
mode.
To stop Rewind or Fast forward,
press the Stop button.
The rewind/fast forward will stop
automatically when the end of the
tape is reached.
Recording

Most DVDs, compact discs, video cassettes,
television broadcasts contain material which
is the subject of copyright. It is unlawful to
record such material in any form whatsoever,
whether on disc or tape, without the
permission of the copyright owner concerned.
Any person who makes a recording of such
material without the consent of the copyright
owner infringes copyright and may be liable,
to pay substantial damages to the copyright
owner, and in some cases to criminal
prosecution.
To select the VCR, press the VCR
button on the remote control or the
Select button on the front of the
DVD/VCR/CD/MP3 Player. The
VHS LED will illuminate.
Switch on the TV and select the
video channel using the Channel
up or Channel down button on
the front of the DVD/VCR/CD/
MP3 Player.
Insert a blank, recordable video cassette into
the VCR.
If you are recording a program from the TV,
select the channel on the VCR. Confirm the
program is showing on the TV.
If you are recording from an external
input, press the Output button until
the external input appears on the TV
screen.
Select the recording speed (LP - long
play or SP - short play) with the
Speed record/angle button.
Press the Record button on the
front of the DVD/VCR/CD/MP3
Player to start recording. The LCD
will show REC and the program you
are recording.
