Filter Replacement
When to replace your lter
There are a few situations that would indicate it is time to
replace your lter cartridge
1. The ow rate through the lter is reduced to roughly one half the
original ow rate (please make sure the intake hose pre-lter, and
sediment lter disk are not dirty/clogged before replacing the
main lter cartridge).
The lter is becoming clogged and is past its useful life. The lter is
still functioning, but the ow rate is reduced to the point where
the pump is under additional strain.
2. If ltering chlorinated water, and the water still maintains a strong
chlorine taste.
The activated carbon lter has been consumed and the lter
cartrage should be replaced.
3. Water coming from the lter is not clear.
The Alumina lter element has likely been physically damaged
and must be replaced. Please note: The lter cannot remove some
substances, like the pigment in brewed tea, even when fully
functional.
