Before using your Retro Diner Wae Maker for the rst time make sure
that it is thoroughly clean and dry. Refer to the cleaning instructions on
page 5 of this user guide.
Before using your Retro Diner Wae Maker for the rst time make sure
that you:
• Remove the Wae Maker from its packaging.
• Clean the baking plates with a soft damp cloth and then thoroughly dry.
• Completely unwind the mains cable.
• Place the Wae Maker on a dry level heat resistance surface away from any other
appliances or objects.
• Always coat the baking plates with a little oil spray before every use.
• Your Retro Diner Wae Maker is now ready to use.
1. Ensure your Wae Maker is clean and dry.
2. Position your Wae Maker on a at surface or table close to a plug socket.
3. Plug the power lead into a suitable plug socket; this will automatically turn the
machine on.
4. Close your Wae Maker and pre-heat it for a few minutes. The green and red lights
will be illuminated indicating that the machine is preheating. When the green indicator
light switches o the machine is ready to use.
5. Once ready to use make sure that each plate has been coated with an oil spray.
REMEMBER that the baking plates are very hot; DO NOT touch these with your hands.
6. Add one ladle sized amount of wae batter and pour into the centre of the bottom
baking plate, the mixture will gradually move and ll out the remaining cavities.
DO NOT overll each cavity as the mixture will expand and damage the appliance.
7. Carefully close the lid and clip shut the latch and allow your wae to bake for 6-8
minutes
.
8. During cooking the temperature regulating thermostat maintains an even
temperature. You may therefore notice the indicator ickering.
9. Steam will come out of the machine as your waes cook, this is normal.
10. After 8 minutes you can test that the waes are ready by inserting a toothpick into the
middle of one. (If the toothpick comes out clean, your waes are ready).
11. Switch o the machine and leave to cool for a few minutes before removing with a
wooden or plastic utensil.
12. Add any toppings as desired.

Follow these simple steps to clean and maintain your Wae Maker after each use:
1. Turn your Wae Maker ‘OFF’ by unplugging it from the mains.
2. Allow the machine to completely cool down.
3. Clean the top and bottom casing with a soft damp cloth and then dry with a kitchen/
paper towel.
4. Open the Wae Maker and wipe away any excess mixture on the baking plates with
a soft damp cloth and then dry with a kitchen/paper towel. Make sure that both the
top and bottom baking plates are thoroughly cleaned and dried.
5. Once your Wae Maker is clean and dry it is ready to be packed back in its box
ready for the next use.
6. Make sure to NEVER immerse the Wae Maker in water, other liquids or use in a
dishwasher. There is danger to life due to risk of electric shock and will also damage
the appliance.
7. When cleaning NEVER use abrasive cleaning agents or sharp objects (e.g. scrubbing
brush or a knife) for cleaning.
Plain Waes
Ingredients:
• 250g of plain our
• 20g of caster sugar
• 270ml of milk
• 2 eggs
• 25ml of vegetable oil
• 2 teaspoons of baking powder
• 1 teaspoon of salt
The mixture will make approximately 6 large waes or 30 mini heart shaped waes.
Instructions:
1. Place the our, caster sugar, baking powder and salt into a large mixing bowl and mix
thoroughly.
2. In a separate bowl beat together the eggs and milk.
3. Add the egg and milk mixture, as well as the vegetable oil to all of the dry ingredients
and mix together thoroughly until all the lumps have disappeared.
4. Pre-heat your Retro Diner Wae Maker by plugging the power lead in to a mains
socket.
5. Spray both the bottom and top baking plates with a little spray oil. (This eliminated any
chance of the mixture sticking to the plates).
6. Use one ladle of your wae mixture and gently pour to the centre of the bottom
plates. The mixture will spread to the edges itself. DO NOT use more than one ladle of
mixture as it will expand with cooking and will damage the latch if overlled.
7. Close the lid (making sure that the latch is secure).
8. Leave for 6-8 minutes and check to see if your waes are cooked as per the
instructions on page 4. Once you are happy that your waes are cooked switch o
the machine by unplugging the power lead and mains socket and leave to cool down
for a couple of minutes before removing with a wooden or plastic utensil.
9. You can now add your choice of favourite toppings.

listed below must be followed:
1. Read all instructions carefully before using the appliance and retain this user guide
for future reference.
2. This appliance is for household use only.
3. Do not operate this appliance if the base unit, cable or mains plug are showing any
sign of damage.
4 This appliance should not be assembled or operated by children.
5. Never leave this appliance unattended whilst in use.
6. Do not let the cord hang over the edge of a table or come into contact with a hot
surface.
7. If any mixture spills out of the cavities or down the sides of the baking plates always
switch o the machine and let it cool down completely before cleaning.
8. Do not immerse the Wae Maker in water or any other liquid as this may cause
injury due to electric shock and will also damage the appliance.
9. Before cleaning always turn o the power by switching o the mains socket and
unplugging the power lead.
10. Never use harsh or abrasive cleaning uids on this appliance (Refer to the cleaning
instructions on page 6).
11. Always store your Wae Maker in its box in a dry location.
Chocolate Waes
Ingredients:
• 250g of plain our
• 35g of unsweetened cocoa powder
• 20g of caster sugar
• 270ml of milk
• 2 eggs
• 25ml of vegetable oil
• 1 teaspoon of vanilla essence
• 2 teaspoons of baking powder
•½ teaspoon of salt
The mixture will make approximately 6 large waes or 30 mini heart shaped waes.

bowl and mix thoroughly.
2. In a separate bowl beat together the eggs and milk.

• Whipped cream with strawberries
• Maple syrup with sliced bananas
• Warm chocolate sauce
• Whipped cream and chopped nuts

appropriate waste containers
• When this product reaches the end of its useful life do not dispose of it by putting
it in a dustbin; hand it in at a collection point for the rescue of electrical and
electronic equipment.
