IMPORTANT SAFEGUARDS
When using electric appliances, basic safety precautions should always be
followed:
1. Read all instructions.
2. Do not use the appliance on wet or hot surfaces, or near a heat source.
3. To protect against fire, electrical shock or injury, do not immerse the
unit, power cord or plug in water or any other liquid.
4. Unplug the appliance from the outlet when not in use or before
cleaning.
5. To disconnect the appliance, unplug the power cord from the electrical
outlet. Do not disconnect by pulling on the cord.
6. Do not operate the appliance with a damaged power cord or plug. Do
not operate the appliance if it malfunctions or is damaged in any way.
Return the appliance to an authorized service center for examination
and repair.
7. Do not use the appliance for other than intended use.
8. Close supervision is necessary when appliance is being used by or
near children.
9. Do not let the cord hang over the edge of a counter or table.
10. Do not place the appliance on or near a hot burner or heated oven.
11. This appliance can be used by children 8 years and above and persons
with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities - if they have
been given instructions concerning the use of the appliance - and
understand the hazards involved. Cleaning and user maintenance
shall not be made by children without supervision.
12. Only use accessories or attachments that were provided by the
manufacturer for this appliance.

CAUTION HOT SURFACES: This appliance generates heat and escaping
steam during use. Proper precautions must be taken to prevent the risk of
burns, fires, or other injury to persons or damage to property.
1. A person who has not read and understood all operating, toasting, and
safety instructions is not qualified to operate this appliance. All users
of this appliance must read and understand this Instruction Manual
before operating or cleaning this appliance.
2. If this appliance falls or accidentally becomes immersed in water,
unplug it from the wall outlet immediately. Do not reach into the water!
3. When using this appliance, provide adequate air space above and on
all sides for air circulation. Do not operate this appliance while it is
touching or near curtains, wall coverings, clothing, dishtowels or other
flammable materials.

4. To reduce the risk of fire, do not leave this appliance unattended during
use.
5. IF this appliance begins to malfunction during use, immediately press
the CANCEL button and unplug the cord. Do not use or attempt to
repair a malfunctioning appliance!
6. The cord to this appliance should only be plugged into a 120V AC
electrical wall outlet.
7. To reduce the risk of injury to persons or property, never use this
appliance in an unstable position.
8. Use the toaster on a hard, flat surface. Do not place it near a flame or
heat or on a soft surface (such as carpet). Avoid placing it where it may
tip over during use. Dropping the toaster could cause it to malfunction.

WARNING: ELECTRICAL SHOCK HAZARD. Never attempt to dislodge food
inside the toaster while the toaster is plugged in. Doing so could cause an
electrical shock hazard or a risk of fire.
CAUTION: This appliance is hot during operation and retains heat for some
time after turning o. Always use oven mitts when handling hot material
and allow metal parts to cool before cleaning. Do not place anything on top
of the toaster while it is operating or while it is hot.
CAUTION:
DO NOT use toaster pastries with runny fillings or frosting.
DO NOT toast torn slices of bread.
DO NOT place buttered bread or wrapped food into the toaster.
DO NOT toast small-size bread, mini-baguettes, breadsticks, etc.

• A short power-supply cord is provided to reduce risk of becoming
entangled in or tripping over a longer cord.
• Extension cords may be used if care is exercised in their use.
• If an extension cord is used:
a. The marked electrical rating of the extension cord should be at least
equal to the electrical rating of the appliance; and
b.The longer cord should be arranged so that it will not drape over
the countertop or tabletop where it can be pulled on by children or
tripped over.
ELECTRICAL POLARIZED PLUG
This unit has a polarized plug (one
blade is wider than the other). To
reduce the risk of electric shock,
the plug is intended to be used
by inserting it into the electrical
outlet only one way. If the plug
does not fit securely into the outlet,
reverse the plug and re-insert. If it
still does not fit, contact a qualified
electrician for assistance. Do not
modify the plug in any way.

BEFORE USING FOR THE FIRST TIME
1. Remove all packaging materials including those that may be inside
the Toasting Slots or Lever slot.
2. Wipe the exterior with a damp cloth. Dry thoroughly. Do not use
abrasive cleaners.
3. Do not put the toaster, cord or plug in water.
4. Ensure the Crumb Tray is pushed all the way into the back of the
toaster and the Lever is in the raised position.
5. Plug the toaster into an outlet.
6. Turn the Shade Dial to 1. Press the Lever down to lock into place and
use without food inside once or twice to burn o any manufacturing
residue. You may notice a slight amount of smoke; this is normal and
will stop as the heating elements continue to heat.

USING YOUR TOASTER
Note: The Lever will only lock into place when the toaster is plugged in.
1. Ensure there are no objects inside the toaster and place on a flat,
level, heat resistant surface.
2. Plug the toaster into an outlet.
3. Place food into the Toasting Slots.
4. Rotate the Shade Dial to set your desired shade. 1 is light, 7 is dark.
5. Press the Lever down to lock into place.
6. Press the MENU button to set the arrow to desired Function.
Note: Function must be set while arrow blinks and MENU button is lit.
FOR FROZEN ITEMS
Press the FROZEN button to add additional time to defrost.
Note: When set to Wae Function, the FROZEN button is on by default.
Press the FROZEN button to turn it o, if there is no need to defrost.
USING YOUR TOASTER
7. The countdown timer on the Display will show remaining time.
8. Food will pop up when done toasting.
9. Carefully remove food from toaster. Lift the Lever higher for easy
removal.
WARNING:
• Toasted food is hot! Handle with care.
• Never insert your fingers, metal or sharp-edged utensil into Toaster
Slots, this may damage the heating element or cause injury.
Note:
• Press the CANCEL button to stop toasting at any time.
• To prevent a fire hazard, never place food over the Toaster Slots,
always place inside the toaster.
• Unplug the toaster when not in use.

USING YOUR TOASTER
USING +30 SECONDS
When toasting is done, you can add additional time for a darker shade.
1. Press the Lever down to lock back into place.
2. Press the +30sec button.
3. Press the MENU button to set the arrow to desired Function.
USING REHEAT
To reheat cold toast without browning or to warm food without toasting:
1. Rotate the Shade Dial to REHEAT.
2. Press the Lever down to lock food into place.
3. Press the MENU button to set the arrow to desired Function.
TIPS
• Place bagel inside Toasting Slots with cut sides facing the center of
the toaster.
• Only use toaster pastries. Use lighter shades on the Shade Dial for
toaster pastries with a lot of frosting.
CLEANING & MAINTENANCE
WARNING: Never immerse cord, plug, or appliance in water or other
liquid. Do not plug in the appliance or operate with wet hands.
• Always unplug the appliance and let it cool down completely before
cleaning.
• To remove breadcrumbs, slide out the Crumb Tray from the bottom
of the toaster. It is very important to empty the Crumb Tray regularly
as crumbs that have accumulated in the toaster can burn and
become a fire hazard.
• To clean the exterior, wipe with a soft, damp cloth. Never use
abrasive utensils or corrosive products to clean the appliance.

WARRANTY & SERVICE
This Limited Warranty is for one full year from the date
of purchase. It is applicable to the original purchaser
only and is not transferable to a third party user. Repair
or replacement of defective parts is solely at the seller’s
discretion. In the event that repair isn’t possible, the
seller will replace the product/part. If product repair/
replacement won’t suce, the seller has the option of
refunding the cash value of the product or component
returned.
Product defects not covered under the Warranty
provisions include normal wear and damage incurred
from use or accidental negligence, misuse of instruction
specications or repair by unauthorized parties.
The manufacturing company is not liable for any
incidental or consequential damages incurred by such
circumstances.
Only valid within the United States.
STORAGE
• Unplug the appliance and let it cool down.
• Make sure all parts are clean and dry.
• Store the appliance in a clean and dry place.
ENVIRONMENT
Do not throw away the appliance with the normal household waste
at the end of its life, but hand it in at an ocial collection point for
recycling. By doing this, you help to preserve the environment.
