2.StructureFeatures
a. Thetelescopehassystemof erectinternalfocusing whichcanbeusedto obtain
reversedimagebywayofprism.It isofsealedtypetopreventfromdust,water
and steam.
b.Alltheoptical partsarecoatedwithtransmissiveand reflectivefilmsto reduceloss
in luminousenergy.
c.Haircross-spring suspensionprismisusedforthecompensator,andthelabyrinth
damperwillstopthecompensatorwithinshort time to raiseefficiency.
d.Theinstrument matchedwithwarningsetsoit canchecktheworking situationof
compensator andthepropertyofleveling.
e. Friction brakeand thestructureof wholecirclemicro-driveisusedfor instrument
horizontalmicro-motion,whichhastheadvantagesof reliablein structureand easy
in operation.

3.Methodof Operation
3.1Settingand Levelling
a.Toadjusttripod,andlettheflatpartoftripod in alevelingposition,with itsheight
basicallyin the same line ofthetelescope andtheoperator'seyes.
b.Tosettheinstrument on tripod,andtoconnecttheinstrument tothetripod withthe
centralscrew.
c. Withthe help of levelingscrew. Centerthecircularbubbleexactlyattheposition.
3.2Aimingand Focusing
a. Torotateeyepiececover,observethroughtheeyepiece ofthetelescope,and letthe
sight distanceline ingraduatedscaleclear.
b.Toaimthestaff byrough finder,to rotatethefocusing handwheeluntil sight of
staff clear(forward to faraway,andbackwardtonearer),thentorotatethehand
wheelofendless horizontalmicro-motion and letthesight ofstaff on center.

3.3Staff reading
a. Whentheinstrument aimingatthestaff,the
reading ofthecenterlineisthealtitude.(Fig.3)
is1.614m
b. Tohave the readingsrespectivelyforthe upper
lineand thelower,thedistancefromstation
point tothe staffwillbe(upperline
reading-lowerline reading)×100. (Fig.3)is
(1.675–1.550)×100 =12.5m
c.Whenthevertical hairinsight distance lines
aiming atobject A,theindicatinganglein dial
will be ∠AOB = α–β

4.Checkingand adjusting
Beforeleavingthefactory,eachcenterlineisproperlyadjusted,thecenterlineis
properlyadjusted,thecenterlinesmaydeviatefromproperpositionafter
transportation orlongtimeoperation.Sotocheckandadjustthemain centerlines is
necessarybeforemeasuring and surveying isfield work.
4.1 Correcttheparallelismforboth circlebubbleand verticalaxistosetthe
instrument on tripod,andtorotateleveling screwsuntil bubbleiscentered.If to rotate
theinstrument on 180 ,thebubbleremainscentered,bubbleposition iscorrect,
otherwiseif mustbecorrectedin following way.
a.Torotatefootscrew,enablingbubbletomovecentered,andit'smovementwill
behalfdeviationfromthe totalvalue.
b.Toadjustthebubbleadjustingscrew,enablingbubbleto movecentered,andrepeat
until thebubble doesnot movealong with rotatingof theinstrument.

4.2 Checkandadjusting forleveling ofsight
lineof telescope(Checkand adjusting angle)
selectachecklineabout45–60m on aeven
ground, divideiton 3partswith the same
length (Fig.5),staff onpointsB&C.Supposethemeanreading bytheinstrument at
point Aisa1,b1; and themeanreadingbytheinstrument atpoint Disa2,b2,if
=(a2,-b2) (a1-b1)≤±3mm theangleiswithintolerance,otherwisetheinstrument
mustbyreadjustedinthefollowing way:
a. Firstto calculate Δ= (a2,–b2)–(a1–b1) suppose a3=a2–Δ
b.Theinstrument remainedatpoint D,aimingatstaffB,toremovetheeyepiece
coveryouwillsee areticleadjusting screw(Fig.6),removetheadjusting screwon
gradudtedscale carefullywithadjusting needleuntilthegraduatedscalecenter

coincidewith a3,thento close theeyepiececoverandtocheckand adjustin the
same wayagain.
5.Service and maintenance
a.Theinstrument mustbeavoideddirectlyfrom
sunshine atworking time to keepaccuracy.
b.Afterfinishsurveyeachpart of instrument must
be cleanandmount intoinstrument box.
c. Whistoff dustfromopticaleiement bysoft hair
brush,soft paperspeciallyusedfor cleaninggl-
assesand softleather. Do nottouchlensbyhand.
d.Ifthereisanytroubleinworking or theinstrument hasbeenbr–(Fig.6) oken,you
mayreturnittoour factoryorsend ittoqualifieddepartmenttorepair it.Itis
forbiddento dismantletheinstrument randomly.
e. Theinstrument mustbestoredintheroomwith acidclimate,cleanand good
ventilation.
