Mounting
Mount the mains energizer Granit GN3000 inside or outside a building at a
non flammable place at a wall or in an appropriate housing or case. Protect the
energizer from water. Mounting, installation and first operation must only be
performed by a professional electric technician.
Hit a grounding rod deeply into the ground at a humid place directly nearby
your fence. Connect the grounding rod to the ground connector of the energizer
using an appropriate earthing cable (min. width 1,5 qmm). For connections
always use corrosion-resistant grounding cable. Note that the most
performance and output power of your energizer can only be achieved by
best grounding and fence isolation conditions.
Connect your fence and the fence connector of your energizer using high
tension connection cable, isolated to ground, housing and buildings. To prevent
damages from lightning strokes fence connection must be done by using a
lightning protection.
Connect the mains energizer to mains socket 230V AC / 50 Hz. Use no other
tension or mains frequency! The mains socket must be protected by a ground
fault circuit interrupter (ground fault current max. 30mA!).
Should radio or tv interferences appear in spite of correct mounting and
connections of the energizer then a faulty fence (faulty isolators and wire
connections or plants touching the fence) should be the reason. Examine and
check your electric fence in detail.
Fence control and energizer control
The energizer GN3000 has both an integrated fence control and an energizer
function control.
The energizer control LED flashes shortly with each energy impulse and
shows correct working of the energizer.
The fence control LED also flashes shortly with each energy impulse and
shows the output voltage at the fence connector being above 2000 volts
(so that animals can be herded). If the fence control does not flash then
disconnect the fence connection cable from the fence connector of your
energizer. If the fence control LED now flashes then check your fence in
detail. Otherwise your energizer is damaged and has to be returned for
repair.
Safety informations
Not following the safety instructions and an incorrect energizer setup could
lead to hazard and may cause technical malfunction of the energizer. Please
observe strictly following items:
Connect your mains energizer GN3000 only to mains voltage
230V AC / 50 Hz, socket being protected by a ground fault circuit
interrupter (ground fault current max. 30mA!).
Mounting and operating your energizer is only allowed in non flammable
area or places.
Mains protective earth conductor must not be used as fence grounding
conductor!
Fence connections must be established using a lightning protection.
Always use proper fencing material when using flexible fencing wire.
Wire of low quality is not recommended and can cause radio or tv
interferences.
Your energizer GN3000 should not be used for herding sensitive animals
using short fences.
Build up your fence solidly. Avoid your animals from getting tangled in
your electric fence. Check the condition of your fence and your energizer
daily.
