getting those most from your Aspen
1.
give it room to breathe
The Aspen pulls air in from both the front and the back,
so placing it away from any walls will help to maximize
airow. It’s designed to remove inanimate objects in large,
mul-purpose rooms like oces, classrooms, conference
rooms, and open oor plan living rooms.
run it all the time
The Aspen’s automac mode will gently circulate the air
quietly and eciently and will ramp up if it detects any
parculate maer in the environment. No need to ever
turn it o, just set it on auto and enjoy clean air.
UVC, see
The 270nm UVC LED light is designed to last the lifeme
of the machine and does not produce ozone, so there is
no need to ever turn it o. But you can!
keep it well-oiled
Figuravely speaking, of course. The Aspen requires no
maintenance other than a dry wipe down of the front and
back grates, along with regular lter changes every six
months. There is a handy light on the top of the machine
that will let you know when it is me to order a fresh
lter. Be warned: the lter cannot be washed or cleaned
and must be replaced when dirty.

automatic mode
Automac mode is the principal operang mode of the Aspen,
and is the seng you should use to get the most out of your
machine.
When in automac mode, the Aspen will adjust the fan speed
to provide the most ecient air cleaning possible. The Aspen
will gently recirculate the room’s air at whatever minimum fan
speed you select. When the laser parculate sensor or volale
organic compound sensor detects the presence of parculate
maer, the fan speed will increase to maximum to clean the air
as quickly as possible. Aer the parculate maer is no longer
detected, the machine will return to its previous speed and
connue to circulate air.
To engage automac mode, simply press the buon. While
in automac mode, you can change the minimum fan speed
the Aspen uses by pressing the buon. While in automac
mode, the fan icon will dim.
Seng the minimum speed to four would make no sense, but
you are the master of your castle. We won’t judge. Many enjoy
using speed two for a lile white noise. The default is one.
3.

excellent poor very poor
air quality indicator
The Aspen ulizes its two sensors to display the current air
quality in the room via the numerical display and colored ring
on the front. The laser parculate sensor detects parcles in
the 1 μm, 2.5 μm, and 10 μm range. The numerical display al-
ternates between the 2.5 μm parculate reading (PM2.5) and
the volale organic compound (VOC) sensor reading.
When either sensor detects parculate maer, the ring will
change color to indicate the quality of the air. If the Aspen is
in automac mode, the fan speed will increase to clean the air
as quickly as possible. As soon as the inanimate parcles are
reduced, the speed with decrease back to the minimum the
user has selected.
