1. General
When fitted with a protection module, the pump can
be connected directly to a mains switch as it will be
protected by the built-in overload protection at all
three speeds.
The protection module incorporates two indicator
lights, see fig. 1.

Warning
Before removing the terminal box
module, these fitting instructions
should be studied carefully.
The installation and operation should
also be in accordance with local
regulations and accepted codes of
good practice.

Three-phase pumps only:
The pump is operating, but the
direction of rotation is wrong.
Off On The pump has been cut out by
the thermal overload switch.

3. Replacement
1. Switch off the electricity supply to the pump by
means of the external mains switch. The green
indicator light on the terminal box must be off.
2. Remove the terminal box cover.
3. Remove all wires from the terminal block.
4. Replace the existing module in the terminal box
by the new one, see fig. 2.
For removal/fitting of the three screws shown,
use the screwdriver supplied with the module.
5. Replace the wiring diagram in the terminal box
cover by the diagram supplied with the module,
see fig. 3.
6. Connect the supply wires as shown in Fig. A
(at the end of these instructions).
7. Fit the terminal box cover.
8. Switch on the electricity supply. Check correct
connection by means of the indicator lights, see
the table in section 2. Indicator lights.

Warning
Before removing the terminal box
cover, make sure that the electricity
supply has been switched off and that
it cannot be accidentally switched on.

5. Disposal
This product or parts of it must be disposed of in an
environmentally sound way:
1. Use the public or private waste collection service.
2. If this is not possible, contact the nearest
Grundfos company or service workshop.
Subject to alterations.
Warning
Before removing the terminal box cover, make sure that the electricity supply has been
switched off and that it cannot be accidentally switched on.
Fault Cause Remedy
1. The pump does not run.
None of the indicator lights
are on.
a) One fuse in the installation is
blown. Replace the fuse.
b) External mains switch
switched off. Switch on the mains switch.
c) Current-/voltage-operated
earth-leakage circuit breaker
has tripped out.
Repair insulation defects and cut in
the circuit breaker.
2. The pump does not run.
The green indicator light is
on.
a) Rotor blocked, but the pump
has not been cut out by the
thermal overload switch.
Switch off the electricity supply and
clean/repair the pump.
3. The pump does not run.
The red indicator light is on.
The green indicator light is
off.
a) The pump has been cut out
by the thermal overload
switch due to high liquid
temperature or blocked rotor.
Check that the liquid temperature
falls within the specified range.
The pump will restart automatically
when it has cooled to normal
temperature.
b) The speed switch module has
not been fitted.
Switch off the electricity supply by
means of the external mains switch
and fit the speed switch module.
4. The pump is running.
The red indicator light is on.
The green indicator light is
on.
a) The pump is running with
wrong direction of rotation
(only three-phase pumps).
Switch off the electricity supply by
means of the external mains switch
and interchange two phases in the
terminal box.
5. Noise in the system.
The green indicator light is
on.
a) Air in the system. Vent the system.
b) The pump flow is too high. Reduce the pump performance
(change to lower speed).
c) The pressure is too high. Reduce the pump performance
(change to lower speed).
6. Noise in the pump.
The green indicator light is
on.
a) Air in the pump. Vent the pump.
b) The inlet pressure is too low. Increase the inlet pressure and/or
check the air volume in the
expansion tank (if installed).
7. Insufficient heat in some
places in the heating
system.
a) The pump performance is too
low.
Increase the pump performance
(change to higher speed), if possible,
or replace the pump with a pump
with a higher flow.

1. Generelt
Når pumpen er forsynet med et beskyttelsesmodul,
kan den tilsluttes en ekstern afbryder direkte, idet
den indbyggede overophedningsbeskyttelse beskyt-
ter pumpen ved alle tre hastigheder.
Beskyttelsesmodulet er desuden forsynet med to

3. Udskiftning
1. Afbryd forsyningsspændingen med den eksterne
afbryder. Den grønne lampe på klemkassen skal
være slukket.
2. Afmontér klemkassens låg.
3. Fjern alle ledninger i klemrækken.
4. Det eksisterende modul i klemkassen erstattes
med det nye, se fig. 2.
Til at afmontere/montere de tre viste skruer
anvendes den medleverede skruetrækker.
5. Forbindelsesdiagrammet i klemkasselåget erstat-
tes med det medleverede diagram, se fig. 3.
6. Forsyningsledninger tilsluttes som vist på Fig. A
(bagest i vejledningen).
7. Montér klemkassens låg.
8. Tilslut forsyningsspændingen. Kontrollér korrekt
tilslutning ved hjælp af signallamperne, se tabel-
len i afsnit 2. Signallamper.

Advarsel
Ved ethvert indgreb i pumpens klem-
kasse skal forsyningsspændingen
være afbrudt, og det skal sikres, at den
ikke uforvarende kan genindkobles.

4. Fejlfinding
5. Bortskaffelse
Dette produkt eller dele deraf skal bortskaffes på
en miljørigtig måde:
1. Brug de offentlige eller godkendte, private
renovationsordninger.
2. Hvis det ikke er muligt, kontakt nærmeste
Grundfos-selskab eller -serviceværksted.
Ret til ændringer forbeholdes.
Advarsel
Ved ethvert indgreb i pumpens klemkasse skal forsyningsspændingen være afbrudt, og det
skal sikres, at den ikke uforvarende kan genindkobles.
Fejl Årsag Afhjælpning
1. Pumpen kører ikke.
Ingen af signallamperne
lyser.
a) Sikring i installation er brændt. Udskift sikring.
b) Ekstern afbryder er afbrudt. Genindkobl afbryderen.
c) Fejlstrømsafbryder/fejlspæn-
dingsafbryder er udkoblet.
Reparér isolationsfejl og genindkobl
afbryderen.
2. Pumpen kører ikke.
Grøn signallampe lyser.
a) Rotor blokeret, men pumpen er
ikke udkoblet af termoafbryder.
Afbryd forsyningsspændingen og rens/
reparér pumpen.
3. Pumpen kører ikke.
Rød signallampe lyser.
Grøn signallampe lyser
ikke.
a) Pumpen er stoppet af termoaf-
bryder på grund af for høj
medietemperatur eller bloke-
ret rotor.
Kontrollér, om medietemperaturen er
inden for det specificerede område.
Pumpen starter automatisk efter afkø-
ling.
b) Hastighedsomskiftermodulet
ikke isat.
Afbryd forsyningsspændingen med den
eksterne afbryder og sæt hastighedsom-
skiftermodulet på plads.
4. Pumpen kører.

a) Pumpen kører med forkert
omdrejningsretning
(kun 3-fasede pumper).
Afbryd forsyningsspændingen med den
eksterne afbryder og ombyt to faser i
pumpens klemkasse.
5. Støj i anlægget.
Grøn signallampelyser.
a) Luft i anlægget. Udluft anlægget.
b) For stort flow. Reducér pumpeydelsen (skift til lavere
hastighed).
c) For højt tryk. Reducér pumpeydelsen (skift til lavere
hastighed).
6. Støj i pumpen.
Grøn signallampelyser.
a) Luft i pumpen. Udluft pumpen.
b) Tilløbstryk for lavt. Forøg tilløbstrykket og/eller kontrollér
luftvolumen i en evt.
ekspansionsbeholder.
7. Mangel på varme
enkelte steder i
varmeanlægget.
a) For lille pumpeydelse. Forøg pumpeydelsen om muligt (skift til
højere hastighed), eller udskift pumpen
med en pumpe med større ydelse.

1. Allgemeines
Eine Pumpe mit Schutzmodul läßt sich direkt an
einen externen Netzschalter anschließen, da der
eingebaute Überhitzungsschutz die Pumpe bei allen
drei Drehzahlen schützt.
Das Schutzmodul besitzt außerdem zwei
Meldeleuchten, siehe Abb. 1.
