Before beginning installation procedures,
these installation and operating instruc-
tions should be studied carefully. The in-
stallation and operation should also be in
accordance with local regulations and ac-
cepted codes of good practice.
1. Type designation
See pump nameplate.
The key below indicates the meaning of the letters
and figures of the type designation, e.g. GP 14-75-3.
2. Applications
The GRUNDFOS pool pump, type GP, is a horizontal
close-coupled centrifugal pump with self-priming
properties.
The main application of the GP pump is to circulate
water in swimming pools and it is usually installed
before the pool filter. The pump is designed for
pumping pool water being disinfected by chlorine.
The GP pump incorporates a removable filter basket
to filter out leaves and other solids.
3. Technical data
3.1 Ambient temperature

The actual inlet pressure + pressure when the pump
is running against a closed valve must always be
lower than the maximum permissible operating pres-
sure.

4. Installation
The GP pool pump is usually installed between the
skimmer and the pool filter.
The pump is to be mounted on a solid foundation.
The pump must be installed with the shaft horizontal
and with the transparent cover uppermost. It must be
possible to remove the transparent cover so that the
filter basket can be removed for cleaning.

The suction pipe must be at least the same diameter
as the pump suction port. If the suction pipe exceeds
10 metres, the total friction losses in the pipe must
be taken into consideration.
The pump is self-priming down to 2 metres, provided
that the pump has been filled with water.
Install the pipes so that air locks are avoided, espe-
cially on the suction side of the pump.
Correct pipework is shown in fig. 1.

The pipes should be fitted so that any tension
caused by variations in temperature does not affect
the pump.
If the pumps are installed in long pipes, these should
be adequately supported before and after the pump.
If a hose is used for suction pipe, it must be of a non-
collapsible type.
The suction pipe/hose must be as short as possible
to ensure optimum operating conditions.
Isolating valves should be fitted on either side of the
pump.
Note: The pump is not allowed to run against a
closed discharge valve as this will cause an increase
in temperature/formation of steam in the pump which
may cause damage to the pump.
If there is any danger of the pump running against a
closed discharge valve, a minimum liquid flow
through the pump should be ensured by connecting
a bypass/a drain to the discharge pipe.
To minimize possible noise from the pump, it is ad-
visable to fit anti-vibration mountings on either side
of the pump and between foundation and pump.
The pump should be sited in a well-ventilated but
frost-free position, preferably in a closed room. If the
pump is sited outside, it must be protected from the
elements by means of a suitable cover.
5. Electrical connection
The electrical connections should be carried out by
an authorized electrician in accordance with local
regulations.
The operating voltage and frequency are marked on
the pump nameplate. Make sure that the motor is
suitable for the electricity supply on which it will be
used.
The electric motor must be connected to the supply
as shown in the diagram on the inside of the terminal
box cover and in accordance with local regulations.
Use an approved watertight screwed cable entry
when connecting the cable to the terminal box.
5.1 Motor protection
All single-phase versions incorporate motor protec-
tion and require no additional motor protection.
Note: If the motor is overloaded, it will stop automat-
ically. When it has cooled to normal temperature, it
will restart automatically.
The three-phase versions must be connected to an
external motor protection.
The pump must be earthed and the electric installa-
tion must be fitted with an earth leakage circuit
breaker (ELCB).
6. Start-up
Note: Do not start the pump until it has been filled
with water and vented.
The pump has been correctly filled with water when
the water level is just below the transparent cover.
Arrows on the fan cover show the direction of rota-
tion.
To create the maximum suction capacity, when the
pump is first started or after service, close the dis-
charge valve (immediately after the pump), start the
pump and slowly open the discharge valve.
If the pump is not operating satisfactorily after maxi-
mum 5 minutes, stop the pump and check the water
level in the suction pipe and the pump.
Plastic pipes and connections must be
tightened carefully.
According to the IEC publication No. 364,
the pump must be installed at least 2 me-
tres from the edge of the swimming pool.

Before removing the terminal box cover
and before any removal/dismantling of the
pump, make sure that the electricity supply
has been switched off.
The pump must be connected to an exter-
nal mains switch.

7. Cleaning the filter basket
The filter basket incorporated in the pump should be
checked every day and, if necessary, it must be
cleaned. Before removing the transparent cover,
close the isolating valves on either side of the pump.
The pump can then be started.
Note: High-pressure cleaning is not allowed.
8. Frost protection
Pumps which are not being used during periods of
frost should be drained to avoid damage. To drain
the pump, remove the drain plug in the pump hous-
ing. Do not replace the plug until the pump is to be
used again.

9. Maintenance and service
Under normal operating conditions, the pump is
maintenance-free. The motor bearings are lubricated
for life.

11. Disposal
Disposal of this product must be carried out accord-
ing to the following guidelines:
1. Use the local public or private waste collection
service.
2. In case such waste collection service does not
exist or cannot handle the materials used in the
product, please deliver the product or any haz-
ardous materials from it to your nearest GRUND-
FOS company or service workshop.
Before starting work on the pump, make
sure that the electricity supply has been
switched off and that it cannot be acciden-
tally switched on.
After cleaning, the pump must be filled
with water and vented.
The cover must be fitted to the pump.

Fault Cause
Pump runs but gives no water. a) Supply failure or motor protection has tripped out.
b) The pump has not been vented.
c) The pump has not been filled with water.
d) Leakage in suction pipe/hose.
e) The transparent cover has not been fitted correctly.
– Check the filter basket.
– Tighten the screws evenly.
f) Suction lift is too great.
– Maximum permissible suction lift is 3 metres.
g) Total friction losses in the system exceed the capacity of the pump.
– Make a new calculation of the required pressure.
h) Leakage in mechanical shaft seal.
Pump is not operating
satisfactorily. a) Direction of rotation is incorrect (three-phase pumps only). – Reverse the direction of rotation.
b) The filter basket in the pump or in the skimmer is dirty or blocked.
– Clean the baskets.
c) The water level in the swimming pool is too low.
– Increase the water level up to the middle of the skimmer opening.
d) The pipes/hoses are partly blocked by impurities.
– Clean the pipes/hoses.

1. Sicherheitshinweise
1.1 Allgemeines
Diese Montage- und Betriebsanleitung enthält grund-
legende Hinweise, die bei Aufstellung, Betrieb und
Wartung zu beachten sind. Sie ist daher unbedingt
vor Montage und Inbetriebnahme vom Monteur so-
wie dem zuständigen Fachpersonal/Betreiber zu le-
sen. Sie muß ständig am Einsatzort der Anlage
verfügbar sein.
Diese Montage- und Betriebsanleitung bezieht sich
auf den Pumpentyp GP mit GRUNDFOS Motoren
Typ MG. Bei anderen Motorfabrikaten ist darauf zu
achten, daß die aktuellen Motordaten von den in die-
ser Anleitung angeführten Daten abweichen können.
Es sind nicht nur die unter diesem Abschnitt “Sicher-
heitshinweise” aufgeführten, allgemeinen Sicher-
heitshinweise zu beachten, sondern auch die unter
den anderen Abschnitten eingefügten, speziellen Si-
cherheitshinweise.
1.2 Kennzeichnung von Hinweisen
Direkt an der Anlage angebrachte Hinweise wie z.B.
• Drehrichtungspfeil
• Kennzeichnung für Fluidanschlüsse
müssen unbedingt beachtet und in vollständig lesba-
rem Zustand gehalten werden.
1.3 Personalqualifikation und -schulung
Das Personal für Bedienung, Wartung, Inspektion
und Montage muß die entsprechende Qualifikation
für diese Arbeiten aufweisen. Verantwortungsbe-
reich, Zuständigkeit und die Überwachung des Per-
sonals müssen durch den Betreiber genau geregelt
sein.
1.4 Gefahren bei Nichtbeachtung der
Sicherheitshinweise
Die Nichtbeachtung der Sicherheitshinweise kann
sowohl eine Gefährdung für Personen als auch für
die Umwelt und Anlage zur Folge haben. Die Nicht-
beachtung der Sicherheitshinweise kann zum Ver-
lust jeglicher Schadenersatzansprüche führen.
Im einzelnen kann Nichtbeachtung beispielsweise
folgende Gefährdungen nach sich ziehen:
• Versagen wichtiger Funktionen der Anlage
• Versagen vorgeschriebener Methoden zur War-
tung und Instandhaltung
• Gefährdung von Personen durch elektrische und
mechanische Einwirkungen
1.5 Sicherheitsbewußtes Arbeiten
Die in dieser Montage- und Betriebsanleitung aufge-
führten Sicherheitshinweise, die bestehenden natio-
nalen Vorschriften zur Unfallverhütung sowie even-
tuelle interne Arbeits-, Betriebs- und Sicherheitsvor-
schriften des Betreibers, sind zu beachten.
1.6 Sicherheitshinweise für den Betreiber/
Bediener
• Ein vorhandener Berührungsschutz für sich bewe-
gende Teile darf bei sich in Betrieb befindlicher
Anlage nicht entfernt werden.
• Gefährdungen durch elektrische Energie sind aus-
zuschließen (Einzelheiten hierzu siehe z.B. in den
Vorschriften des VDE und der örtlichen Energie-
versorgungsunternehmen).
Die in dieser Montage- und Betriebsan-
leitung enthaltenen Sicherheitshin-
weise, die bei Nichtbeachtung Gefähr-
dungen für Personen hervorrufen kön-
nen, sind mit allgemeinem Gefahren-
symbol “Sicherheitszeichen nach DIN
4844-W9” besonders gekennzeichnet.
Dieses Symbol finden Sie bei Sicher-
heitshinweisen, deren Nichtbeachtung
Gefahren für die Maschine und deren
Funktionen hervorrufen kann.
Hier stehen Ratschläge oder Hinweise,
die das Arbeiten erleichtern und für ei-
nen sicheren Betrieb sorgen.

1.7 Sicherheitshinweise für Wartungs-,
Inspektions- und Montagearbeiten
Der Betreiber hat dafür zu sorgen, daß alle War-
tungs-, Inspektions- und Montagearbeiten von auto-
risiertem und qualifiziertem Fachpersonal ausgeführt
werden, das sich durch eingehendes Studium der
Montage- und Betriebsanleitung ausreichend infor-
miert hat.
Grundsätzlich sind Arbeiten an der Pumpe nur im
Stillstand durchzuführen. Die in der Montage- und
Betriebsanleitung beschriebene Vorgehensweise
zum Stillsetzen der Anlage muß unbedingt eingehal-
ten werden.
Unmittelbar nach Abschluß der Arbeiten müssen alle
Sicherheits- und Schutzeinrichtungen wieder ange-
bracht bzw. in Funktion gesetzt werden.
Vor der Wiederinbetriebnahme sind die im Abschnitt
7. Inbetriebnahme aufgeführten Punkte zu beachten.
1.8 Eigenmächtiger Umbau und
Ersatzteilherstellung
Umbau oder Veränderungen an Pumpen sind nur
nach Absprache mit dem Hersteller zulässig. Origi-
nalersatzteile und vom Hersteller autorisiertes Zube-
hör dienen der Sicherheit. Die Verwendung anderer
Teile kann die Haftung für die daraus entstehenden
Folgen aufheben.
1.9 Unzulässige Betriebsweisen
Die Betriebssicherheit der gelieferten Pumpen ist nur
bei bestimmungsgemäßer Verwendung entspre-
chend Abschnitt 3. Verwendungszweck der Mon-
tage- und Betriebsanleitung gewährleistet. Die in
den technischen Daten angegebenen Grenzwerte
dürfen auf keinen Fall überschritten werden.
2. Typenbezeichnung
Siehe Leistungsschild der Pumpe.
Der hier angeführte Typenschlüssel gibt die Bedeu-
tung der Buchstaben und Zahlen der Typenbezeich-
nung an, z.B. GP 14-75-3.
3. Verwendungszweck
Die GRUNDFOS Poolpumpen der Baureihe GP sind
horizontale Kreiselpumpen mit Normmotoren und mit
Selbstansaug-Eigenschaften.
Das Haupteinsatzgebiet der GP Pumpen ist die Zir-
kulation von Wasser in Swimmingpools. Sie werden
normalerweise vor dem Poolfilter eingebaut. Die
Pumpe ist für die Förderung von chlorhaltigem
Swimmingpool-Wasser geeignet.
Die GP Pumpe besitzt einen abnehmbaren Filterkorb
für das Abfiltern von Blättern und anderen festen Be-
standteilen.

5. Montage
Die GP Pumpe wird normalerweise zwischen dem
“Skimmer” und dem Pool-Filter eingebaut.
Die Pumpe muß auf einem festen Fundament aufge-
stellt werden. Die Pumpe muß mit horizontaler Welle
und mit dem transparenten Deckel nach oben einge-
baut werden. Der transparente Deckel muß abge-
nommen werden können, um das Herausnehmen
des Filterkorbs für Reinigung zu ermöglichen.
Der Durchmesser der Saugleitung muß mindestens
so groß sein wie der Durchmesser des Saugstutzens
an der Pumpe. Falls die Saugleitung mehr als
10 Meter lang ist, müssen die Reibungsverluste in
der Leitung berücksichtigt werden.
Die Pumpe ist selbstansaugend von 2 Meter Tiefe,
vorausgesetzt daß sie vorher mit Wasser gefüllt
wurde.
Rohrleitungen so anordnen, daß sich besonders in
der Saugleitung keine Luft ansammeln kann. Die
korrekte Montage der Rohrleitungen wird grundsätz-
lich in Abb. 1 gezeigt.

Die Pumpe muß so eingebaut werden, daß Span-
nungen, verursacht durch Temperaturschwankun-
gen, nicht die Funktion der Pumpe beeinträchtigen
können.
Beim Einbau in lange Rohrleitungen sind diese vor
und hinter der Pumpe abzufangen.
Als flexible Saugleitung sind verstärkte Schläuche zu
verwenden.
Die Saugleitung/der Saugschlauch muß so kurz wie
möglich sein, um optimale Betriebsverhältnisse si-
cherzustellen.
Es empfiehlt sich, Absperrventile vor und hinter die
Pumpe zu montieren.
Zur Reduzierung von eventuellen Geräuschen emp-
fiehlt es sich, Schwingungsdämpfer auf der Saug-
und Druckseite der Pumpe, sowie auch zwischen
Pumpe und Fundament, anzubringen.
Die Pumpe sollte an einer gut be- und entlüfteten
aber frostfreien Stelle - am besten in einem ge-
schlossenen Raum - aufgestellt werden. Falls die
Pumpe im Freien aufgestellt werden muß, ist sie
durch einen geeigneten Schutz gegen Feuchtigkeit
abzuschirmen.
6. Elektrischer Anschluß
Der elektrische Anschluß muß von einem Fachmann
in Übereinstimmung mit den örtlichen Vorschriften
des EVU bzw. VDE vorgenommen werden.
Es ist darauf zu achten, daß die auf dem Leistungs-
schild angegebenen elektrischen Daten mit der vor-
handenen Stromversorgung übereinstimmen.
Der elektrische Anschluß ist nach dem im Klemmen-
kastendeckel befindlichen Schaltbild vorzunehmen.
Beim Anschluß des Kabels an den Klemmenkasten
ist eine wasserdichte Kabelverschraubung zu ver-
wenden.
Kunststoffrohre und -verbindungen
müssen mit Vorsicht angezogen wer-
den.

Achtung
Die Pumpe darf nicht gegen ein ge-
schlossenes Absperrventil in der
Druckleitung arbeiten, denn eine dar-
aus folgende Temperatursteigerung/
Dampfentwicklung führt zur Beschädi-
gung der Pumpe.
Zur Vermeidung dieser Gefahr muß ein
Mindest-Förderstrom durch die Pumpe
fließen. Das wird dadurch sicherge-
stellt, daß ein Bypass oder ein Ablauf
zu einer Ablaufleitung auf der Druck-
seite der Pumpe installiert wird.
Gemäß IEC Publikation Nr. 364 muß die
Pumpe mindestens 2 Meter vom Rande
des Swimmingpools aufgestellt werden.
Vor dem Entfernen des Klemmenka-
stendeckels und vor jeder Demontage
der Pumpe muß die Versorgungsspan-
nung unbedingt allpolig abgeschaltet
sein.
Die Pumpe muß bauseits abgesichert
werden und sollte an einen externen
Netzschalter angeschlossen werden.

6.1 Motorschutz
Einphasenmotoren besitzen einen eingebauten
Thermoschalter und benötigen keinen weiteren Mo-
torschutz.
Drehstrommotoren müssen durch einen Motor-
schutzschalter geschützt werden.
7. Inbetriebnahme
Bei korrekter Auffüllung muß die Pumpe bis zum
transparenten Deckel gefüllt sein.
Die richtige Drehrichtung ist durch Pfeile auf der Lüf-
terhaube vorgegeben.
Bei der Erstinbetriebnahme oder nach Servicearbei-
ten wird die maximale Saugleistung wie folgt er-
reicht:
• Druckventil (kurz nach der Pumpe) schließen.
• Pumpe einschalten und Druckventil langsam öff-
nen.
Falls die Pumpe nach 5 Minuten nicht korrekt läuft,
ist die Pumpe auszuschalten und der Wasserstand
in der Saugleitung und in der Pumpe zu überprüfen.
8. Reinigung des Filterkorbs
Der Filterkorb in der Pumpe sollte jeden Tag geprüft
und, wenn nötig, gereinigt werden. Vor dem Entfer-
nen des transparenten Deckels müssen die Absperr-
ventile vor und hinter der Pumpe geschlossen wer-
den.
Die Pumpe kann jetzt eingeschaltet werden.
9. Frostsicherung
Bei Frostgefahr muß die Pumpe zur Vermeidung von
Beschädigungen entleert werden. Um die Pumpe zu
entleeren, den Entleerungsstopfen im Pumpenge-
häuse entfernen. Den Entleerungsstopfen erst dann
montieren, wenn die Pumpe wieder in Betrieb ge-
nommen wird.

10. Wartung und Service
Bei normalen Betriebsverhältnissen ist die Pumpe
wartungsfrei. Die Motorlager sind dauergeschmiert.
Bei Überlastung des Motors schaltet
der Thermoschalter den Motor automa-
tisch aus. Nach ausreichender Abküh-
lung schaltet der Motor automatisch
wieder ein.
Die Pumpe muß geerdet werden, und
die elektrische Installation muß durch
FI-Schutzschalter geschützt sein.
Vor der Inbetriebnahme muß die Pumpe
unbedingt mit dem Fördermedium auf-
gefüllt und entlüftet sein.
Vor Beginn der Arbeit an der Pumpe
muß die Versorgungsspannung unbe-
dingt abgeschaltet werden. Es muß
sichergestellt werden, daß diese nicht
versehentlich wieder eingeschaltet wer-
den kann.
Ausführung nur durch Fachpersonal!
Nach der Reinigung muß die Pumpe
wieder mit Wasser aufgefüllt und entlüf-
tet werden.
Den Deckel wieder montieren.
Hochdruck-Reinigung der Pumpe ist
nicht zulässig.

11. Störungsübersicht

Dieses Produkt sowie Teile davon müssen umwelt-
gerecht entsorgt werden:
1. Hierfür sollten die örtlichen öffentlichen oder pri-
vaten Entsorgungsgesellschaften in Anspruch
genommen werden.
2. Falls eine solche Organisation nicht vorhanden
ist, oder die Annahme der im Produkt verwende-
ten Werkstoffe verweigert wird, kann das Produkt
oder eventuelle umweltgefährdende Werkstoffe
an die nächste GRUNDFOS Gesellschaft oder
Werkstatt geliefert werden.
Vor dem Entfernen des Klemmenkastendeckels und vor jeder Demontage der Pumpe muß die
Versorgungsspannung unbedingt allpolig abgeschaltet sein. Es muß sichergestellt werden,
daß diese nicht versehentlich wieder eingeschaltet werden kann.
Störung Ursache
Pumpe läuft, fördert aber kein
Wasser. a) Keine Stromzufuhr am Motor oder der Motorschutz hat ausgelöst. b) Die Pumpe wurde nicht entlüftet.
c) Die Pumpe wurde nicht mit Wasser aufgefüllt.
d) Undichtheit in der Saugleitung oder dem Saugschlauch.
e) Der transparente Deckel wurde nicht korrekt montiert.
– Den Filterkorb überprüfen.
– Die Schrauben gleichmäßig anziehen.
f) Die Saughöhe ist zu hoch.
– Die maximale Saughöhe beträgt 3 Meter.
g) Die Gesamtreibungsverluste im System übersteigen die
Pumpenleistung.
– Den erforderlichen Druck neu berechnen.
h) Undichtheit in der Wellenabdichtung.
Die Pumpe läuft nicht
zufriedenstellend. a) Die Drehrichtung ist falsch (nur bei Drehstrommotoren). – Die Drehrichtung wechseln.
b) Der Filterkorb in der Pumpe oder im “Skimmer” ist schmutzig oder
blockiert.
– Den Korb reinigen.
c) Der Wasserstand im Swimmingpool ist zu niedrig.

Avant de commencer les procédures d’ins-
tallation, cette notice d’installation et d’en-
tretien doit être lue avec attention.
L’installation et le fonctionnement doivent
être en accord avec les réglementations lo-
cales et faire l’objet d’une bonne pratique.

2. Applications
La pompe GRUNDFOS pour piscines, type GP, est
une pompe centrifuge horizontale auto-amorçante.
Le moteur est directement accouplé à la pompe.
La principale application de la pompe GP est la cir-
culation de l’eau dans les installations de piscines; la
GP est habituellement installée avant le filtre de la
piscine. Ce type de pompe est conçu pour l’eau de
piscines désinfectée par le chlore.
La pompe GP est équipée d’un panier de préfiltre
démontable afin d’empêcher l’entrée de matières so-
lides ou autres dans la pompe.

4. Installation
La pompe GP est habituellement placée entre le
skimmer et le filtre de la piscine.
La pompe doit être montée sur un support solide.
Elle doit être installée avec l’arbre moteur horizontal
et avec le couvercle transparent dirigé vers le haut. Il
faut absolument que le couvercle transparent soit
accessible afin de pouvoir nettoyer le panier de pré-
filtre.

La tuyauterie d’aspiration doit être du même diamè-
tre que l’orifice d’aspiration de la pompe. Si la lon-
gueur de la tuyauterie d’aspiration dépasse
10 mètres, les pertes de charges dans la tuyauterie
doivent être prises en compte.
La pompe est auto-amorçante jusqu’à une hauteur
d’aspiration de 2 mètres; pour une hauteur supé-
rieure, la pompe doit être remplie de liquide.
Installer les tuyauteries de façon à ce que les poches
d’air soient évitées, spécialement du côté aspiration
de la pompe.
Le positionnement correct de la tuyauterie est mon-
tré fig. 1.

Les tuyauteries doivent toujours être montées de fa-
çon à ce qu’aucune tension, causée par des varia-
tions de température, n’affectent la pompe.
Si les pompes sont installées sur de longues tuyau-
teries, faire en sorte que celles-ci soient convenable-
ment supportées avant et après la pompe.
Si un tuyau flexible est utilisé à l’aspiration, celui-ci
doit absolument être renforcé.
La tuyauterie d’aspiration doit être d’une longueur la
plus petite possible afin d’assurer des conditions de
fonctionnement optimales.
Des vannes d’isolement doivent être placées de cha-
que côté de la pompe.
Nota: La pompe ne doit pas fonctionner à vanne fer-
mée côté refoulement; ceci causerait un phénomène
de cavitation qui endommagerait la pompe.
Si la pompe, dans un cas exceptionnel, débite à
vanne fermée côté refoulement, la circulation d’une
quantité mini de liquide est assurée en raccordant un
by-pass ou un dispositif de vidange sur la tuyauterie
de refoulement.
Pour réduire les possibles bruits de la pompe, il est
recommandé de monter des manchons anti-vibrati-
les de chaque côté de la pompe et entre la fondation
et la pompe.
La pompe doit être placée dans un endroit bien ven-
tilé mais protégé contre le gel, de préférence dans
un local fermé. Si la pompe est placée dehors, celle-
ci doit être protégée par un couvercle ou dispositif si-
milaire.
5. Branchement électrique
Les branchements électriques doivent être effectués
par un électricien en accord avec les réglementa-
tions locales.
La tension et la fréquence sont indiquées sur la pla-
que signalétique de la pompe. S’assurer que le mo-
teur soit conçu pour la tension d’alimentation à la-
quelle il sera utilisé.
Le moteur électrique doit être connecté à l’alimenta-
tion comme indiqué à l’intérieur du couvercle de la
boîte à bornes et en accord avec les réglementations
locales.
Pour la connexion du câble à la boîte à bornes, utili-
ser une entrée de câble filetée et étanche.
5.1 Protection moteur
Toutes les versions monophasées incorporent une
protection moteur et ne nécessitent pas de protec-
tion supplémentaire.
Nota: Si le moteur est en surcharge, il s’arrêtera
automatiquement. Lorsque celui-ci refroidit jusqu’à
température normale, il redémarrera automatique-
ment.
Les versions triphasées doivent être raccordées à
une protection moteur externe.
La pompe doit être reliée à la terre et l’installation
électrique doit être équipée d’un disjoncteur pour dé-
faut à la terre (ELCB).
6. Démarrage
Nota: Ne pas mettre en marche la pompe avant que
celle-ci n’ait été remplie de liquide et purgée.
La pompe a été correctement remplie lorsque le ni-
veau d’eau se situe juste dessous le couvercle trans-
parent.
Les flèches situées sur le couvercle du ventilateur in-
diquent le sens de rotation de la pompe.
Pour obtenir une capacité maxi d’aspiration, lorsque
la pompe est mise en marche pour la première fois
ou après une intervention, fermer la vanne au refou-
lement (immédiatement après la pompe), puis dé-
marrer la pompe et ouvrir lentement la vanne au
refoulement.
Si la pompe ne fonctionne pas normalement après
5 minutes maxi, arrêter la pompe et contrôler le ni-
veau d’eau dans la tuyauterie d’aspiration et dans la
pompe.
Les tuyaux et pièces de raccordement
plastiques doivent être fixés avec atten-
tion.
En accord avec la norme IEC No. 364, la
pompe doit être installée à au moins 2 mè-
tres du bord de la piscine.

Avant de déposer le couvercle de la boîte
à bornes et avant tout démontage ou re-
montage de la pompe, s’assurer que l’ali-
mentation électrique ait été coupée.
La pompe doit être raccordée à un inter-
rupteur principal externe.

7. Nettoyage du panier de préfiltre
Le panier de préfiltre, incorporé dans la pompe, doit
être contrôlé tous les jours, et nettoyé si nécessaire.
Avant de déposer le couvercle transparent, fermer
les vannes d’isolement de chaque côté de la pompe.
La pompe peut ensuite être mise en marche.
Nota: Le nettoyage de la pompe à haute pression
n’est pas autorisé.
8. Protection contre le gel
Les pompes qui ne sont pas utilisées pendant les
périodes de gel, doivent être vidangées afin d’éviter
des dommages. Pour vidanger la pompe, déposer le
bouchon de vidange situé sur le corps de la pompe.
Ne pas replacer le bouchon avant que la pompe ne
soit utilisée à nouveau.

9. Maintenance et service
Sous des conditions normales de fonctionnement, la
pompe ne nécessite pas d’entretien. Les paliers du
moteur sont lubrifiés à vie.
10. Tableau de recherche des pannes
Avant de commencer n’importe quel travail
sur la pompe, s’assurer que l’alimentation
électrique ait été coupée et qu’elle ne peut
pas se remettre en marche accidentelle-
ment.
Après le nettoyage, la pompe doit être
remplie d’eau et purgée.
Le couvercle doit être monté sur la pompe.
Avant de commencer n’importe quel travail
sur la pompe, s’assurer que l’alimentation
électrique ait été coupée et qu’elle ne peut
pas se remettre en marche accidentelle-
ment.

pompe, s’assurer que l’alimentation électrique ait été coupée et qu’elle ne peut pas se remettre en
marche accidentellement.
Panne Cause
La pompe fonctionne mais ne dé-
bite pas d’eau. a) Défaut d’alimentation ou la protection moteur a déclenché. b) La pompe n’a pas été purgée.
c) La pompe n’a pas été remplie d’eau.
d) Fuite dans la tuyauterie d’aspiration.
e) Le couvercle transparent n’a pas été monté correctement.
– Contrôler le panier de préfiltre.
– Serrer les vis d’une manière égale.
f) La hauteur d’aspiration est trop grande.
– La hauteur d’aspiration maxi permise est de 3 mètres.
g) Les pertes de charge dans l’installation sont supérieures à la
capacité de la pompe.
– Redéterminer la pompe.
h) Fuite de la garniture mécanique.
La pompe ne fonctionne pas avec
satisfaction. a) Le sens de rotation est incorrect (pompes triphasées seulement). – Inverser le sens de rotation.
b) Le panier de préfiltre dans la pompe ou le skimmer est sâle ou
bloqué.
– Nettoyer le panier ou le skimmer.
c) Le niveau d’eau dans la piscine est trop bas.
– Augmenter le niveau d’eau jusqu’à la moitié de l’orifice du skimmer.
d) La tuyauterie est partiellement bouchée par des impuretés.
– Nettoyer la tuyauterie.

2. Applicazioni
La pompa per piscina GRUNDFOS, tipo GP, è una
pompa centrifuga orizzontale autoadescante.
La principale applicazione della pompa GP è far cir-
colare l’acqua nelle piscine ed è solitamente installa-
ta prima del filtro. La pompa è progettata per pompa-
re acqua disinfettata dal cloro.
La pompa GP incorpora un filtro a cestino rimovibile
per bloccare rifiuti e corpi solidi.

4. Installazione
La pompa per piscina GP è solitamente installata fra
lo schiumatore ed il filtro della piscina.
La pompa deve essere montata su un solido sotto-
fondo. La pompa deve essere installata con l’albero
orizzontale e con la copertina trasparente verso
l’alto. Deve essere possibile poter rimuovere la co-

L’aspirazione del tubo deve essere almeno dello
stesso diametro della pompa all’aspirazione. Se il
tubo d’aspirazione eccede i 10 metri di lunghezza, le
perdite di carico totali nel tubo devono essere con-
teggiate.
La pompa è autoadescante fino ai 2 metri, dopo es-
sere stata riempita con acqua.
Installate le tubazioni evitando sacche d’aria special-
mente sul lato aspirazione.
I collegamenti corretti sono indicati in fig. 1.

L’installazione dei tubi deve prevedere che eventuali
tensioni dovute a pressione o ad aumento della tem-
peratura non danneggino la pompa.
Se le pompe sono installate su lunghe tubazioni,
queste dovranno essere supportate opportuna-
mente, prima e dopo la pompa.
Se il tubo di aspirazione è flessibile dovrà essere del
tipo spiralato antischiacciamento.
Il tubo d’aspirazione rigido/flessibile deve essere il
più corto possibile per assicurare ottimali condizioni
di funzionamento.
Le valvole di intercettazione devono essere montate
sui due lati della pompa.
Nota: La pompa non deve operare con saracinesca
di mandata chiusa dato che, in queste condizioni, si
ha un aumento della temperatura del liquido e forma-
zione di vapore all’interno della pompa con conse-
guenti danni meccanici.
Se esiste la possibilità che la pompa funzioni con sa-
racinesca di mandata chiusa, installate un circuito di
by-pass o uno scarico che faccia capo ad un serba-
toio di recupero del liquido.
Per ridurre al minimo il rumore si consiglia di mon-
tare antivibranti sull’aspirazione, sulla mandata oltre
che fra la pompa e la fondazione.
La pompa dovrebbe essere posizionata in un luogo
ben ventilato ma non troppo freddo, preferibilmente
in un locale chiuso. Se la pompa è posizionata
all’esterno, deve essere protetta dagli agenti atmo-
sferici per mezzo di un’adatta tettoia.
5. Collegamenti elettrici
I collegamenti elettrici dovranno essere effettuati da
un elettricista secondo la vigente normativa.
Tensione e frequenza di lavoro sono in targhetta mo-
tore. Verificate la loro corrispondenza con i valori di
rete.
Il motore elettrico deve essere collegato all’alimenta-
zione come mostrato nel diagramma all’interno della
copertina della testa ed in accordo con le leggi locali.
Usare in entrata un cavo approvato, avvitato e a te-
nuta d’acqua quanto si connette il cavo alla testa.
5.1 Protezione motore
Tutte le versioni monofase hanno incorporato una
protezione motore e non richiedono protezioni addi-
zionali.
Nota: Se il motore è sovraccarico, si fermerà auto-
maticamente. Una volta raffreddato ripartirà automa-
ticamente.
Le versioni trifase devono essere collegate ad una
protezione motore.
La pompa deve avere la messa a terra e l’installa-
zione elettrica deve essere collegata con un ELCB,
interruttore del circuito di messa a terra.
6. Avviamento
Nota: Non avviate la pompa senza averla perfetta-
mente riempita di liquido e sfiatato l’aria.
Le pompe sono state correttamente adescate con
acqua quando il livello dell’acqua e appena sotto la
copertina trasparente.
Le frecce sulla copertura della ventola mostrano il
senso di rotazione.
Per assicurare la massima capacità d’aspirazione,
quando la pompa non è ancora partita o dopo il ser-
vizio, chiudere la valvola di scarico (situata subito
dopo la pompa), far partire la pompa e aprire lenta-
mente la valvola di scarico.
Se la pompa non raggiunge un livello operativo otti-
male dopo 5 minuti al massimo, fermare la pompa e
controllare il livello dell’acqua nel tubo d’aspirazione
e la pompa.
I tubi plastici e i collegamenti devono es-
sere serrati con attenzione.
In accordo con la pubblicazione IEC n°
364, la pompa deve essere installata ad
almeno 2 metri dal bordo della piscina.

Prima di togliere il coperchio della morset-
tiera di qualsiasi asportazione/smontaggio
della pompa, accertare che la tensione sia
stata tolta.
La pompa deve essere collegata ad un in-
terruttore generale esterno.

7. Pulizia del cesto
Il cesto incorporato nella pompa dovrebbe essere
controllato ogni giorno e, se necessario, deve essere
pulito. Prima di rimuovere la copertina trasparente,
chiudere le saracinesche su ciascun lato della
pompa.
La pompa può essere rimessa in funzione.
Nota: La pulizia in alta pressione non può essere tol-
lerata.
8. Protezione antigelo
Per evitare danni da gelo, le pompe inattive nel peri-
odo di gelo devono essere svuotate. Per scaricare la
pompa, rimuovere il tappo di spurgo nella testa
pompa. Non posizionare il tappo fino al momento in
cui la pompa dovrà essere riutilizzata.

9. Manutenzione e assistenza
Sotto normali condizioni operative, la pompa è
esente da manutenzione. I cuscinetti del motore
hanno una lubrificazione permanente.
10. Tabella ricerca guasti
Prima di iniziare a lavorare sulla pompa,
verificare che la corrente sia disinserita e
che non possa venire accidentalmente in-
serita.
Dopo la pulizia, la pompa deve essere
adescata con acqua e disareata.
La copertina deve essere montata sulla
pompa.

Prima di togliere il coperchio della morsettiera di qualsiasi asportazione/smontaggio della pompa,
accertare che la tensione sia stata tolta e che non possa essere accidentalmente attivata.

g) Le perdite di carico nel sistema sono superiori alla capacità della
pompa.
– Fare un nuovo calcolo della pressione richiesta.
h) Perdita nella tenuta meccanica dell’albero.
La pompa non funziona
soddisfacentemente. a) Senso di rotazione non corretto (solo per le trifase). – Cambiare il senso di rotazione.
b) Il cesto del filtro nella pompa o nello schiumatore è sporco o
bloccato.
– Pulire i cesti.
c) Il livello dell’acqua nella piscina è troppo basso.
– Incrementare il livello dell’acqua fin sopra la meta dell’apertura
– dello schiumatore.
d) I tubi flessibili sono parzialmente bloccati da impurità.
– Pulire i tubi flessibili.

11. Smaltimento
Lo smaltimento di questo prodotto, o di parte di esso,
deve essere effettuato secondo le seguenti regole
generali:
1. Usare i sistemi locali, pubblici o privati, di rac-
colta dei rifiuti.
2. In caso che tali sistemi non esistano o non pos-
sano smaltire tale materiale, allora inviare il ri-
fiuto alla più vicina GRUNDFOS o officina di
assistenza autorizzata.

Antes de empezar con el procedimiento de
instalación, deben estudiarse cuidadosa-
mente estas instrucciones de instalación y
funcionamiento. La instalación y funciona-
miento deben estar también de acuerdo
con las normativas locales y códigos acep-
tados de buena práctica.
1. Designación de tipo
Ver placa de datos de la bomba.
El diagrama inferior indica el significado de las siglas
de la designación del tipo, por ejemplo GP 14-75-3.
2. Aplicaciones
La bomba de piscina GRUNDFOS, tipo GP, es una
bomba centrífuga horizontal con propiedades auto-
cebantes.
La aplicación principal de la bomba GP es la circula-
ción de agua en piscinas y normalmente se instala
antes que el filtro de la piscina. La bomba está dise-
ñada para el bombeo de agua de piscina desinfec-
tada por cloro.
La bomba GP incorpora una cesta-filtro extraible
para filtrar hojas y otros sólidos.
3. Datos técnicos

4. Instalación
La bomba de piscina GP se instala normalmente en-
tre los squimmers y el filtro de la piscina.
La bomba debe montarse sobre una base sólida. La
bomba debe instalarse con el eje en posición hori-
zontal y con la cubierta transparente en la parte más
alta. Debe ser posible retirar la cubierta transparente
de forma que la cesta-filtro pueda quitarse para su
limpieza.
