Preparation
Caution
7First utilisation: Run the appliance at least 4
times without adding coffee.
7Please follow the steps 1 and 6 - 11 in the
“Brewing Coffee” section.
1 Remove all packaging and stickers and dis-
pose of them according to applicable legal
regulations.
2 Before using the appliance for the first time,
clean all parts carefully which come into con-
tact with water. Please see full details in the
“Cleaning and Care” section.
3 Make sure that the appliance is placed in an
upright position and on a stable, flat, clean,
dry, and non-slip surface.
Brewing Coffee
1 Open the water tank cover A and use the
glass jug E to fill the water tank B with the
required amount of water, but do not fill over
the “max” mark. The brewed amount of coffee
will be 10 % less than the filled water, because
it is absorbed by the coffee grounds and the fil-
ter. The scale on the glass jug is marked in cof-
fee cups, e.g. 4 = 4 cups. For the good coffee
taste it is suggested to operate the appliance
with at least 4 cups coffee serving.
Notes
7Use only clean, cold, and fresh drinking
water.
7There is a drip hole on the back of the water
reservoir to prevent exceeding the capacity of
the coffee maker. If you add too much water,
it will drip out from the back of the appliance.
2 Pull out the filter basket J.
3 Take a suitable paper filter (1 x 4) and insert
the paper filter into the filter basket J.
Note
7Use only one paper filter at each time. Make
sure that the paper filter does not bend or
fold.
4 Fill the filter with the desired amount of ground
coffee.
5 Insert the filter basket J back into the housing
and close the cover A.
6 Place the glass jug E on the warming plate I.
Caution
7If cover A is not closed or the filter
basket J and the glass jug E are not placed
accurately, the drip-stop function will not func-
tion properly. It could cause hot water or hot
coffee to overflow.
7 Connect the plug to the wall socket.
8 Turn the appliance on by pushing the On/Off
switch F.
The On/Off indicator H illuminates and the
brewing process begins.
Notes
7The brewing process can be stopped at any
time by pressing the On/Off switch F to posi-
tion >>0<<.
7The appliance is equipped with a drip-stop D
located underneath the filter basket J and

from the filter. Extremely hot water or coffee
can spill out from the filter basket and cause
injury.
7If water / coffee is not draining from the filter
basket J after several seconds although the
glass jug has been affixed correctly, then
unplug the appliance immediately and wait
10 minutes before opening and checking the
filter
basket J.
7When the brewing process ends and the
water tank C is empty, there will still be hot
liquid in the filter basket J. Wait a few min-

tween each brewing process.

7Use softened or filtered water to prevent lime
build-up.
7Store unused coffee in a cool, dry place. After
opening a package of coffee reseal it tightly
to maintain its freshness.
7Do not reuse the coffee sediment in the filter
since this will reduce the flavour.
