Safety instructions
WARNING!
Before using the fixture, read the latest version of the product user manual, paying particular attention
to the safety instructions. Please check www.gtd-lighting.com for the latest revision/update of the user
manual. The manufacture of this fixture, are not responsible for damages, resulting from misuse of this
fixture, due to the disregard of the information printed in this user manual.

INDOORS USE ONLY!
Do not expose fixture for rain and moisture.
It’s essential that the fixture is properly grounded. Only qualified personnel should perform electrical
connections.
WARNING!
The antenna of the fixture must be installed in a correct way. Be sure to keep the minimum safe
distance of 20cm (7.9 in) with the personnel.
Only qualified and certified personnel should perform installation of this fixture and only the original rigging parts
(brackets) included with this fixture should be used for installation.
Before applying power to the fixture, check that the source voltage matches the fixture's requirement. Every fixture
must be earthed (grounded) and installed in accordance with local electricity regulations. Do not connect it to a
dimmer system.

General guidelines
Never open this fixture while in use.
The fixture should be kept clean. DO NOT operate the fixture in extreme heat or dusty environments. Avoid contact
with chemical liquid.
This fixture is a professional light effect designed for INDOOR / DRY LOCATIONS ONLY on stage, in nightclubs,
theatres, etc.
Maximum temp of the external surface 140˚F (60˚C).
Maximum ambient temperature 113˚F (45˚C).
Minimum distance of inflammable materials from the surface 1.6 feet (0.5m).
Disconnect the fixture from power before changing any parts or accessories.
The fixture is only intended for installation, operation and maintenance by qualified professional. Instructions
stated in the manual must be complied.
Broken or damaged cables can only be fixed or changed by certified technicians, certified local distributors or the
manufacturer to ensure operational safety.
Do not modify the fixture or install other than GTD manufactured parts.

Packing and shipping
Unpacking
Notes
All products are quality controlled and checked for any faults before they are dispatched to customers. If the fixture is
damaged during delivery, the customer must notify the shipper and manufacturer to file a damage insurance claim.
Photographic evidence of the damage must be provided.
Cardboard box
Size: 55 x 40 x 10.5cm, 1 pc/box
Open the box and take out the whole set of packaging foam which contains both the fixture and its accessories. Remove
the foam from the top, put away the accessories, and then take out the fixture wrapped in the plastic bag.
Packing after use
1. Switch off the fixture and wait for at least 5 minutes before disconnecting it from AC power. Cool down the fixture for
at least 5 minutes before packing.
2. Cardboard box: Wrap the fixture in plastic bags. Put it in the packaging foam along with all the accessories. Place the
other set of packaging foam on top then carefully put it inside the cardboard box.

Panel description
LED indicators:
Power LED: When power is applied to the fixture, the Red power LED indicator will come on.
DMX LED: When the fixture is receiving a DMX signal, the DMX output indicators of each way will come on in
Green.
Functions description
Input: DMX512 signal
Output: DMX512 signals of 4 ways are non-interference, capable of shaping signals for long-distance transmission.
Interface type: 5 or 3 pins XLR can be selected.
Signal isolation: DMX512 signal input, DMX signal output, power and signal are isolated.
Distance for wireless signal communication: radius of 250m (in open space).
Wireless antenna must be pointing upwards when in use (see below).
Wireless W512TX-4 function description
Device:
DMX512 console, wireless transmitter and lighting equipments installed with wireless receiver.
Description of information revealed by the indicators
Wireless transmitter
When ERROR indicator (red) is on continuously, it means the transmitter is not in transmit mode and you need to
make the following settings: (Disconnect the power and after 5s or longer, press FUNCTION button and connect the
power in simultaneously, making sure the red and green indicator is off continuously).
When ERROR indicator (red) is off continuously, it means the transmitter is in transmit mode for normal use.
When MODE indicator (green) flashes fast ( on 100ms/off 100ms=trying to
connect to a receiver), it means the transmitter is searching for all receivers waiting to be received.
When MODE indicator (green) flashes slowly ( on 900ms/off 100ms=no DMX
signal), it means the transmitter has no DMX signal.
When MODE indicator (green) flashes slowly ( on 500ms/off 500ms=ending the
connection with all revivers), it means the transmitter is ending connection with all receivers.
When MODE indicator (green) is on continuously ( on continuously=there is a DMX signal),
it means the transmitter has DMX signal input.

When ERROR indicator (red) and MODE indicator (green) flash slowly, it means the transmitter enters the receiving
mode then you need to make the following settings (Disconnect the power and after 5s or longer, press FUNCTION
button and connect the power in simultaneously, making sure the red and green indicator is off continuously).
Wireless receiver (lamp installed with receiver)
When indicator flashes fast in red and green, it means transmitter is searching for a receiver and means
transmitter and receiver are searching for each other.
When indicator flashes slowly in red and green, it means transmitter and receiver have normal wireless
communication, but there is no DMX signal.
When indicator turns green, it means the device is receiving DMX signal sent out by the transmitter.
When indicator turns red, it means there is no communication memory for the built-in receiver with transmitter
when it can establish communication with any transmitter.
Description of Wireless Dev function on lamp menu
Wireless ON
The lamp searches for DMX signal source automatically, where DMX512 console will be chosen first.
Wireless Trans
The lamp is controlled by the console of wireless transmitter and sends out signals at the same time.
Wireless Off
The lamp is controlled only by the DMX512 console.
Wireless Reset
Reset WDMX memory of the lamp to establish connection with other transmitters.
Wireless communication system setup
Wireless transmitter connects to DMX console.
Establish communication between the transmitter (T1) and the lamp installed with wireless receiver.
First, wireless receiving indicator of the lamp installed with receiver should be red.
Then press the FUNCTION button on the transmitter (<3s).
After communication is established, the communication memory with the transmitter will be kept in the lamp
and it can only be connected to the original transmitter (T1) even it is powered-on again.
Use DMX512 console to control the lamp.
Application of multiple transmitters
For example: use 4 transmitters to control 4 sets of lamps (set1: 1-10; set 2: 11-20; set 3: 21-30; set 4: 31-40)
The first transmitter controls the first set of lamps
After the lamps (1-10) are powered on and reset, the display screens on the lamps flash unremittingly, meaning
there is no signal.
Connect No. 1 transmitter to the console after powered on when MODE indicator turns green. Press FUNCTION
button to send out signal along with the indicator flashing ceaselessly. The indicator on the lamp turns green after
searching, meaning signal is received and the console can be used to control.
After searching the signal, the lamp won’t be found by another transmitter and it won’t interfere either.

The second transmitter controls the second set of lamps
After the lamps (11-20) are powered on and reset, the display screens on the lamps flash unremittingly,
meaning there is no signal and they are waiting for receiving signal.
Connect No. 2 transmitter to the console after powered on when MODE indicator turns green. Press FUNCTION
button to send out signal along with the indicator flashing ceaselessly. The indicator on the lamp turns green
after searching, meaning signal is received and the console can be used to control.
Use the same method for the third and the fourth transmitter.
Switch on the power on the set of lamps which need to be controlled.
Method of erasing the connection with the original wireless transmitter (T1) and reconnecting to a new
one (T2)
Method 1
Enter the menu and erase the communication memory of the lamp with the original receiver (T1).
The wireless indicator of the lamp turns red.
Press FUNCTION button on the transmitter (T2) (<3s) and the lamp will establish communication with the
transmitter (T2).
Method 2
Press FUNCTION button on the transmitter (T1) (≥5s) to erase communication memories of the transmitter
with all lamps controlled by it.
The wireless indicator of the lamp turns red.
Press FUNCTION button on the transmitter (T2) (<3s) and the lamp will establish communication with the
transmitter (T2).
Notes
Should erase wireless memories of the lamp after every use in case users use a different transmitter next time.
