Programming the Keypad
Before you begin programming, the keypad must be in the inactive mode (number keys must be unlit).
Program Entry Transmitter DIP Switch settings into the Digital Keypad (Wireless Installations)
1. Open the Entry Transmitter to find the DIP switches. Each of the nine
DIP switches has a setting of (+), (0), or (-).You will program these
settings into the Digital Keypad by using the keys 1, 4, and 7.
2. Press the programming button.
3. Press keys 1, 2, 3, 4.
4. Press the programming button.
5. Press 0.
6. Press the programming button.
7. Enter the nine dip switch settings into the keypad.
For example: if dip switch settings are:
0, -, +, 0,-, 0, +, 0, +;
then you would press keys:
4, 7, 1, 4, 7, 4, 1, 4, 1on the keypad.
8. Press the programming button.
After you have programmed Entry Transmitter DIP switch
settings into the keypad, test the operation of your keypad by
using the factory code “1234.”
Programming your Personal Master Code (Wired and Wireless Installations)
The Factory Code is “1234.” For enhanced security, we strongly recommend changing the factory code to your own Personal
Master Code.You will use your Personal Master Code to program other entry codes. The more digits in your code,
the more secure it will be.
1. Press the programming button.
2. Press keys 1, 2, 3, 4.
3. Press the programming button.
4. Press 1.
5. Press the programming button.
6. Enter your Personal Master Code (3 to 6 digits).
7. Press the programming button.
Programming your Entry Codes. (Wired and Wireless Installations)
You can program up to fifteen different entry codes.
1. Press the programming button.
2. Enter your Personal Master Code
3. Press the programming button.
4. Press 2(press 3for the third entry code, etc.).
5. Press the programming button.
6. Enter your second code (1 to 6 digits).
7. Press the programming button.
Erase keypad codes (Wired and Wireless Installations)
Erasing the keypad codes will reset the keypad to the factory code “1234.”
1. Disconnect one of the batteries.
2. Simultaneously press the 3, 6, and 9keys.
3. Replace the battery.
4. Release the 3, 6, and 9keys.
Program the Entry Transmitter DIP switch
settings into the Digital Keypad using the
keys #1, #4, and #7.
To enter a dip switch setting of (+), press #1.
To enter a dip switch setting of (0), press #4.
To enter a dip switch setting of (-), press #7.
Open Transmitter to
find internal DIP
switches.
Transmitter DIP Switches
Step 1: Mount the keypad cover using the large screws provided. Slide the keypad face
into the cover and secure with the small screws at the bottom of the keypad face. For
wireless applications, the distance from the keypad to the receiver(s) should not exceed 50
ft. Always test the keypad range before permanently mounting it.
Step 2: If you have not changed your Entry Transmitter’s (included with your gate opener
system) DIP switch settings, test the operation of the keypad and its range using the
keypad factory code “1234.” If you have changed your Entry Transmitter dip switch
setting from the factory settings, you will need to program Entry Transmitter’s dip switch
settings into the keypad. Once you have programmed the Entry Transmitter dip switch
settings into the keypad, program your Personal Master Code and additional entry codes.

Step 5:
Attach the keypad to the Control Board terminal blocks as shown below.
Step 6:
Tighten the strain relief screw, replace the control box cover and turn the
power switch ON. Test the keypad by entering 1 2 3 4.
Step 7:
Program your Personal Master Code and any additional entry codes (for a
total of 15 entry codes) you wish. See Programming the Keypad on Page 4.
