Gundermann VIDEOWALL 2010
7
2 Technical description
2.2 Principle function
The LEDWALL Optimizer HQ_P2 device supports digital videosignals
(HDMI/DVI) with max. XGA-resolution (1024x768). An unscaled signal-line
has to exist at the LEDWall-system (e.g. between DVI receiver and
transmitter).
The LEDWALL Optimizer HQ_P2 device is connected between
videosource and videowall, that the transmitted picture signal will be
influenced that way, that after the camera alignment all LEDs are shining in
the same brightness and a homogenous picture will be presented.
Advices and steps whilst setting up the device:
►The LEDWALL Optimizer HQ_P2 device with presaved pixel
coefficients has to be integrated in a DVI-line (see Chapter: 4.1
„Installation of HQ_P2-device“).
►The function of the LEDWALL Optimizer HQ_P2 device can be
checked with the „Test“-button (Fig.: 2.1 Pos. 2). With a short push of
the button the pixel coefficients will be inactive, that the original
(uncorrected) signal will appear on the LEDWALL. Letting go of the
button the pixel coefficients are active again and the videosignal will be
changed accordingly.
►The LEDWALL Optimizer HQ_P2 device has an integrated colour
generator, that the individual basic colours (red, green, blue and white)
can be easily generated. Press the “Test”-Button (Fig.: 2.1 Pos. 2)
longer (approx. 2 seconds). If you press the button longer the colour
will change according above listing. If you press the button shortly
during a primary colour the picture will appear without pixel correction.
