Introduction
The C3-LP's light weight, ompat size and ease of op eration make it an ideal eld
harger, seond harger or harger for p eople who are just getting into the exiting
world of lip oly battery paks
As always, we strongly reommend that p eople who have never used lipoly paks
obtain help or advie from fellow enthusiasts in their area.
The information provided in this manual is provided in good faith but do es not ome

Technical Specifications

Compatible Battery: 2S (7.4V) or 3S (11.1V) Lithium-Polymer battery
• Charging Rate: 0mA to 1000mA, fully adjustable
• Input Power: DC 12V to 20V (either from AC to DC onverter or 12V SLA /
lead-aid battery). 13.8V minimum input reommended if harging 3S lip os.

Operating Procedure
•
Connet input p ower to the DC input so ket
◦ Red Power-On LED should b e illuminated
• Adjust harge rate knob (2) to desired urrent rate
◦ To determine the orret knob p osition, selet battery apaity in mAh on
the graph and read o the knob p osition from the graph line (See graph on
the following page)
◦ eg, for harging a 450mA lipo, we would selet a dial p osition of between 3
and 3.5 (it's ideal to harge lip os at less than 1C, preferably at ~0.8C as this
improves their life).
◦ For batteries with a apaity over 1000mAh the harge seletion knob dial
an b e set to maximum (10).
• Connet balaning plug of battery to the orret harger output terminal (3 pin
for 2S or 4 pin for 3S).
◦ After approximately 5 seonds the Blue harge LED should illuminate to
indiate that harging has ommened
◦ When the ell voltages have reahed approximately 4.17V the Blue harge
LED will start to blink
◦ When the ell voltages have reahed 4.20V the Blue harge LED will be
ompletely turned o
◦ Remove the battery balaning plug from the C3-LP harger

Cautions
•
Connet only ONE battery at a time to the C3-LP harger. You annot harge
b oth 2S and 3S paks simultaneously
• ALWAYS hek the voltages of eah ell with a multimeter to ensure that they are
within 0.02V of eah other.
• If the blue harge LED is weakly illuminated it an mean;
◦ the harge rate dial is very near zero (0)
◦ there is insuient voltage from the DC INPUT to orretly harge the lipo
(ie, only 12V input when attempting to harge a 3S lipo)
