tothe power circuitcapacityof the heatpump.(Install
inaccordance with localtechnicalstandard for electrical
equipment.)
Donot extend thepowercord.
Performwiring work inaccordancewith standards sothat
theair conditioner canbeoperated safely andpositively.
Installa leakage specialbranchcircuit breaker inaccordance
withthe related lawsandregulations and electriccompany
standards.

Itis highly recommendedthatyou do notopenor close the
stopvalves when theoutdoortemperature is below-5°F
(-21°C)as this maycauserefrigerant leakage.
Makesure power isturnedon for atleast12 hours
afterperiods of beingpowereddown in an32°F (0° C)
environmentor lower.
Donot touch thefinsof the coil.Touchingthe coil fins
couldresult in damagetothe fins orpersonalinjury such as
skinrupture.
Ensurethe power circuitcapacityis adequate forallloads
connectedto the electricalservicepanel. Increase the
conductorand panel capacityifthe total electricalloads
exceedthe power sourcecapacity.
Contactthe power utilityifthe power providedisbelow
equipmentrating plate requirements.
Besure to installabreaker of thespecifiedcapacity.
Regulationof cables andbreakerdiffers from eachlocality,
referin accordance withlocalrules.
Donot use existingrefrigerantlines.
Userefrigerant tubing thatisclean and freeofany
contaminationwhich may causedamageto the system
includingsulfur, copper oxide,dust,metal chips, powder,oil
orwater.
Avoidbrazing lines together.Usea continuous lengthof
coppertubing as oxidesformedduring improper brazing
techniquescan damage theequipment.
Do not usecopperpipes that haveacollapsed, deformed,
ordiscolored portion (especiallyonthe interior surface).
Otherwise,the expansion valveorcapillary tube may
becomeblocked with contaminants.
Improperline sizing willdegradeperformance. Peak
pressureof R410A ismuchhigher than R22.Usecopper
tubingwith adequate wallthickness.
Toprevent breaking ofthepipe, avoid sharpbends.Bend
thepipe with aradiusof curvature of4in. (100 mm)or
more.
Ifthe pipe isbentrepeatedly at thesameplace, it willbreak.

Important Informaton:
•MRV series multizoneair conditioning systemscanoperate multiple indoorunitsinheating or cooling.
•For the heatpumpunit, only unitssetto cool modewillrunwhen mode issetin cooling; thesamelogic applies for
heating.For the heatrecoveryunit, units canrunas the settingmode,nomatter what themodeis running in.
•The power mustbeturned on for12hours prior tostart-uptoallow the crankcaseheatadequate time toprotectthe
compressor.
•All indoor unitsonthe same refrigerationsystemshould have acommonbreakerto ensure thatallindoor units areall
poweredon during systemoperation.
•This indoor units can be controlled by wired controller and remote controller, but the unit have to connect a signal
receiver(RE-02) to use the remote controller.

Filter Maintenance:
Cleaningthe air filter&air inlet/outlet grilles.
•Don't remove theairfilter except forcleaningor faults couldoccur.
•Clean the airfilteron a regularbasis(generally once everytwoweeks)when the airconditioneris operating inadusty
environment.
Cleaning the air inlet/outlet grilles:
•Wipe grilles withasoft dry cloth.
•Water or neutraldrycleaner is recommendedifthe dust cannotberemoved.
Cleaning the air filter:
(A)Brush off dirtandvacuum.
(B)Wash with softclothand mild detergent.
(C)Shake water offandallow the filtertofully air drybeforereinstalling.

Installation information:
1.The distance betweenairoutlet and thegroundshould
notbe more than8.8ft(2.7m).
2.Select appropriate placesforinstallation where the
airflowcan be spreadevenlythroughout the house.
Arrangeproper locations forconnectingpipes and lines
aswell as thedrainpipeto the outdoor.
3.Ceiling construction mustbesturdy enough toholdthe
weightof the unit.
4.Make sure thattheconnecting pipe, thedrainpipe and
connectingrefrigerant lines canbeput through the
outsidewalls to connecttheoutdoor units.
5.Make the connectingpipebetween the outdoorand
indoorunits and thedrainpipeas short aspossible.
6.Please read theattachedinstallation instructions for
outdoorunit refrigerant charginginstructions.
7.The connecting flangeshouldbe checked byusers.
8. Electricalappliances such astelevision,instruments,
devices,artwork, piano, wirelessequipmentand other valuablesshouldnot be placedundertheindoor unit toavoid
possiblecondensate from drippingontothem and causingdamage.
The following steps can be taken after selecting the installation place:
1.Cut a holeinthe wall andinsertconnection pipe andconnectingwiresthrough a field
suppliedPVC pipe. Theholeshould be inclinedslightlydownward with aninclinationof
atleast 1/100.
2.Before cutting theopening;ensure no pipeorrebar is placedbehindthecutting
position.Avoid cutting theopeningnear wires orconnectionpipes.
3.Hang the unitona horizontal andfirmroof. If theunitbaseis not stable,itmay cause
noise,vibration or leakage.
4.Support the unitfirmlyand shape theconnectionpipe, connecting wiresanddrainpipe to allowthemtoeasily get
throughthe opening.
WARNING
Protectthe machine fromwindsor earthquake andinstallaccording to regulations.Improperinstallationwill cause
accidentsdue to unitcomingloose and falling.
CAUTION
•Choose a suitableinstallationlocation.
•Avoid places withhighsalinity (salt water)andhigh sulfur gas.Unitwillcorrode and damagewillnot be covered

Bodyinstallation:

2.Ceiling removal: Fordifferentbuilding structures, pleaseconsultwith building personnelaboutactualconditions.
a.Ceiling reinforcement: Ensuretheceiling is horizontalandwill not shake.Theceilingbase frame mustbereinforced.
b.Cut off andremovethe ceiling baseframe.
c.Reinforce the facesleftwhen the ceilingisremoved and furtherreinforcethebase frame thatfixboth ends ofthe
ceiling.
d.After the unitinstallationis complete, itistime to installpipesandwires. Choose asuitableinstallation position
anddetermine the outgoingdirectionof pipes beforeinstallation.Please pull refrigeranttubing,drainhose, indoor
andoutdoor connecting wires,controlwires to theirconnectionpositions prior tohangingthemachine when
aceiling exists.

Duct Installation of Indoor Units:
1.Installation of theductwork: With asquaresupply duct; theboreshouldn'tbe less thanthesizes of airoutletduct.
2.Installation of theairreturn duct: Connectoneside of theairreturnduct to theairreturn of theindoorunits with rivets,
withthe other sideconnectedto air returnshutter,as shown inFig.1.
3.Insulating Supply Ducts:Supplyand return airductsshould be insulated.
Selection of Fan Outlet:
Thismachine uses aDCmotor. Multiple ESPadjustmentsare available. Thefactorydefaultis standard ESP.TheESP &
Silentmode can besetaccording to thestaticpressure and thenoiserequirement.
Settingranges are asfollows:
Operation:
YR-E17wired controller: Withthedisplay on, pressFAN + SET keysfor 5s toenterstaticpressure set mode.Thestatic
pressureicon will flashandcurrent static pressurewilldisplay. Press key tochangestaticpressure grade, thenpressthe
Setkey to confirm.Note:These are mediumESPducted units soallthesettings above mustbedone through awired
controller.
Installation of Drain Hose:
Connectionof indoor drainhose
1.Please use theaccessorydrain hose toconnectindoor unit's condensateoutletandPVC pipe. Usesnaprings to tighten
themas shown inthefigure on thenextpage.
2.Please use rigidPVCadhesive for connectionofother pipes andensurethereis no leakage.
3.Drain hose mustbewrapped with insulationsleeveand tightened withastrapto prevent airleakagefrom producing
condensate.
4.Drain hose shoulddeclineto the drainagesidewith an inclinationofabove1/100 to preventwaterflowing back intoair
conditionerwhen the unitstopsrunning. Drain hoseexpansionor water accumulationshouldbeprevented, or elseit
willcause abnormal noise.
5.Do not pullonthe drain hosewhenmaking the connectionstoavoidthe pipe connectionsfromgetting loose or
disconnected.Drain hose shouldnotbe pulled outlaterallyfor more than8in(200mm)and should besupportedevery
31-39in(0.8-1.0m) to avoidbending.

6.The end ofdrainhose should bemorethan 2in(50mm) awayfromtheground or thebottomof drainage tank.Itshould
notbe put inwater.To directly draincondensateinto a drainline;thedrain hose mustbetrapped (U-shaped) toavoid
sewersmell from enteringthroughthe hose intoroom.
Drainage Test:
Ensurethe drain hoseisclear and allconnectionsare tightly sealedbeforetesting.
Performthe drainage testasfollows:
1.Add about 0.132gal(500ml)of water intothedrain pan throughwaterinjectionport.
2.Switch on thepowerand operate theunitin cooling mode.Checkthatthe water outletdrainswater normally andthat
thereare no leakagesatthe connections. Afterthedrainage test iscomplete,replacethe water injectionportplug. For
theposition of waterinjectionport; see thefigure:

Wire Connections
1.Connect using circularcrimpterminals:

itthrough the ringatthe end ofthelead and tightenitdown.
2.Connect using straightterminals:
Themethod of usingstraightterminals is shownasfollows: loosen thescrewbeforeputting the wireintothe terminal
block,tighten the screwandconfirm it hasbeentightened by pullingthelinegently.
3.Clamp the wires:
Securethe wires withclipswhich should pressonthe insulation ofthewires.

•There are threewaysof connecting thelinecontrol and indoorunits:
A.One wired controllertocontrol multiple units,i.e.2-9 indoor units,asshownin the figureatthe top ofpage18,(1-3
indoorunits). The indoorunit3 is thewirecontrolled main unitandothersare the wiredcontrolledsub units. Thewired
controllerand the mainunit(directly connected totheindoor unit ofwiredcontroller)are connected viathreewires
withpolarity. Other indoorunitsand the mainunitare connected viathreelineswith polarity. SW01onthe main unitof
wiredcontrol is setto0 while SW01onother sub unitsofwiredcontrol are setto1, 2 andsoon in turn. (Pleasereferto
thecode setting Aatpage 14)
B.One wired controllercontrolsone indoor unit,asshown in thefigureatthe bottom ofpage18 (indoor unit4-8).The
indoorunits and thewiredcontroller are connectedviathree lines withpolarity.

•Signal lines shouldnotexceed 3280ft (1000m).
