This device is new and has never been used. Any cutting remnants
may come from test runs performed for quality assurance during pro-

Youmay not shred: Staples, magnetic strip and chip cards, CDs,
DVDs and Blu-ray Discs, continuous stationery,adhesive labels, Ilm,
newsprint, cardboard, paper clips, laminates or plastic (with the excep-
tion of the aforementioned items).

This instruction manual is part of the shredder ÞY 6É (hereinafter
referred to as unit) giving you important information on the intended
use, safety,connection as well as operation of the unit.
The instruction manual has to be kept near the unit at all times. It has
to be read and applied by all persons who use this unit or remove any
faults of the unit.
Keep this instruction manual in asafe place and pass it on with the unit
to any future owners.

Protect the unit against humidity and penetration of liquids and/or
objects. In case of contact with liquids disconnect the unit from the

Do not insert paper clips into the feed shaft.

Keep clothing away from feed shaft.

Do not use any aerosol products on or near the device.
Do not feed CDs/DVDsinto the feed shaft.

ge of the unit.

sRemove all packagingmaterials from the device.
sDo not place the device in ahot, wet or very humid environment.
sPlace the device on alevel, horizontal surface so that it is stable.
sThe socket must be easily accessiblesothat the power supply can
be disconnected quickly in case of an emergency.
sBefore you connect the device, compare the connection data for
the device (voltage and frequency) on the type plate with that of
your mains power supply.This data must match to avoid damage
to the device.
sKeep the connection cable away from hot surfaces and sharp
edges.
sLay all cables so that they do not pose atrippinghazard.
sDo not bend or crush the cable.

sObserve that the thickness of the paper increases when folded,
thus possibly exceeding the maximum page capacity.
sAlways wait for ashredding process to Inish before starting anew
one.
sNever use the unit for longer than 2minutes in permanent opera-
tion.

sSlide the operating switch (2) to the “Auto” position. The device is
ready for use.

sInsert the paper into the centre of the feed shaft (4). The cutting
rollers are switched on automatically.
sLet go of the paper.The device switches back to standby mode
after shredding is completed.

lEmpty the bin frequently in order to prevent damage to the
device.

lThese modes serve to remove any blockages in the cutter
system.
sSlide the operating switch (2) to the “Rev” position. The rollers of
the paper cutting system rotate in the opposite direction.
sSlide the operating switch (2) to the “Auto” position.
sSwitch approximately three times successivelybetween the posi-
tions “Rev” and “Auto”.
sSwitch offthe device and remove the jammed paper or plastic card
from the feed shaft (4).

sTo switch the device off, slide the operating switch (2) to the “Off”
position.
sLift the Document shredder attachment (1) ff of the waste bin (7).
sEmpty the bin.
sPut the Document shredder attachment (1) back on the waste bin
(7).

sSlide the operating switch (2) to the “Off” position.

Clean the unit with adry cloth. In case of heavy soiling, the cloth may
be moistened abit.

uDie Steckdose muss leicht zugänglich sein, so dass die Netzverbin-
dung notfalls schnell getrennt werden kann.
uVergleichen Sie vor dem Anschließen des Gerätes die Anschluss-
daten des Gerätes (Spannung und Frequenz) auf dem Typenschild
mit denen Ihres Elektronetzes. Diese Daten müssen übereinstim-
men, damit keine Schäden am Gerät auftreten.
uSchützen Sie die Anschlussleitung vor heißen OberPächen und
scharfen Kanten.
uVerlegen Sie alle Kabel so, dass sie keine Stolpergefahr darstellen.

trieb.

uFühren Sie das Papier mittig in den Einzugsschacht (4) ein. Die
Schneidewalzen werden automatisch eingeschaltet.
uLassen Sie das Papier los. Nach Beendigung des Schneidevor-
ganges schaltet sich das Gerät wieder aus.

nEntleeren Sie den Behälter regelmäßig um eine Beschädi-
gung desGerätes zu vermeiden.

nDiese Betriebsart dient dazu, eine Blockierung
des Schneidewerks wieder zu lösen.
uSchieben Sie den Bedienschalter (2) auf die Position „Rev“. Die
Walzen des Papier-Schneidwerks drehen sich in umgekehrter
Richtung.
uSchieben Sie den Bedienschalter (2) auf die Position „On/Auto“.
uWechseln Sie ca. drei Mal hintereinander zwischen den Positionen
„Rev“ und „On/Auto“.
uSchalten Sie das Gerät aus und entfernen Sie das gestaute
Schnittgut aus dem Einzugsschacht (4).

uSchalten Sie das Gerät durch schieben des Bedienschalters (2)
auf die Position „Off“ aus.
uHeben Sie den Aktenvernichteraufsatz (1) vom Abfallbehälter (7)
ab.
uEntleeren Sie den Behälter.
uSetzen Sie den Aktenvernichteraufsatz (1) wieder auf den Abfall-
behälter (7) auf.
