1/ Introduction
This document aims at helping the technician to carry out repairs. Please read the entire document
carefully before handling the product.
1.1 Objectives of the After Sales Service
Improve the communication between your company and Handpresso.
Optimize Handpresso’s devices.
Use simple guidelines to reduce the time repairing the product.
1.2 Procedure
Spot the problem.
Repair the device.
Send information concerning the repaired device to Handpresso for continuous improvement.
SAFETY INSTRUCTION
NEVER CHANGE THE WATER TANK OR THE PORTA-FILTER
ALONE! ALWAYS CHANGE THE WHOLE INFUSION
CHAMBER.
ALWAYS USE WATER AT ROOM TEMPERATURE FOR ALL THE
TESTS IN THIS DOCUMENT. IN THAT CASE NOTE THAT THE
INFUSION TIME IS REDUCED.
ALWAYS RELEASE THE PRESSURE BEFORE DISMANTLING
THE DEVICE.

3/ Maintenance of the pump and valve control
In order to work perfectly, your espresso machine Handpresso Wild should be greased regularly with cooking
oil (Sunflower, Rapeseed…). Only one or two drops are necessary.

4/ Problems you can have with the Handpresso Wild
4.1 When you pump, the pressure doesn’t increase
You have a problem with the pump sub assembly
2 solutions:
-change the pump sub assembly (page 7)
-fix the actual pump (page 10)
4.2 You have pumped, but the pressure doesn’t remain
Make a test to find the location of the problem:
-Put the infusion valve in pumping position (stop button pushed)
-Plunge the product into water (be careful that the air tank cap is not completely immersed into water –> no
water must enter in the pump system).
-Pump the device
-Look where the bubbles are coming out
1. Bubbles come from the bottom of the pump
You have a problem with the pump sub assembly
2 solutions:
-change the pump sub assembly (page 7)
-fix the actual pump (page 10)
2. Bubbles come from the manometer
You have a problem with the manometer sub assembly
-change the manometer sub assembly (page 14)

4.3 You push on the infusion valve, but no pressure comes out
You have a problem with the manometer
-change the manometer sub assembly (page 14)
The aluminium body is dirty inside
-Change the machine
4.4 You push on the infusion valve, the pressure comes out but not the water
You have a problem with the water tank (little crack between 2 screws)
-Change the infusion chamber (page 18)
4.5 There is a water leakage by the infusion shaft
You have a sealing problem in the infusion chamber
2 solutions:
-Change the infusion chamber (page 18)
-Change the pod holder (page 21)
4.6 There are splashes between the portafilter and the water tank
You have a sealing problem
-Change the 50mm o-ring
Is the pod holder going out easily?
2 solutions:
-Change the infusion chamber (page 18)
- Change the pod holder (page 21)
4.7 The pod holder fall out
2 solutions:
-Change the infusion chamber (page 18)
-Change the pod holder (page 21)
4.8 The knob is broken
-Change the infusion shaft (page 23)

5.1 Pump system

How to fix
Change the pump assembly
A. Make sure that there is no more pressure
inside the air tank
Press the infusion valve
B. Lock the handle on the air tank cap.
Then unscrew (1) the handle to release the
pump.
Finally pull (2) the pump system out of the
metallic body.

C. The old pump system is separated.

Put the new pump system in the
aluminium body
E. The new pump assembly is mounted on
the device.
Check the new pump system:
Press the infusion valve up
Pump until you reach the upper limit of the green area on the
manometer.
Wait 1 min, the pressure must stay in the green area

Fix the actual pump
A. Make sure
that there is no more
pressure inside the air tank
Press the infusion valve
B. Lock the handle on the air tank cap.
Then unscrew (1) the handle to release the
pump.
Finally pull (2) the pump system out of the
metallic body.

D. Separate the pump tube from the piston

H. Remount the piston inside the pump tube
I. If the one way valve is gone out the pump
tube, be careful of the assembly way.

J. The pump system is fixed
