Features:
The color monitor described in this Data Sheet is an industrialized version of a
high quality CTX based monitor. The monitor allows you to display professional
applications with clarity and enhanced color and image quality. The monitor
provides you with automatic compatibility with multiple upgrading platforms and
a vast array of graphics standards allowing resolution upgrades without upgrading
the monitor.
The monitor is tested according to the maritime standard EN60945 (IEC945).

OPERATION Product: JH 15C06 CTX
POWER SWITCH:
Power ON: To turn the monitor on, press the power switch in the upper area marked “1”
The power light indicator (Power LED)will turn green.
Note: If no VGA signal sync is present, it will turn orange after 10 seconds and the
message “NO SIGNAL INPUT”will be shown in the display.
Power OFF: To turn the monitor off, press the power switch in the lower area marked “0”.
MONITOR ADJUSTMENT CONTROLS:
This CRT monitor has a 100% dimmable image, which means it is capable of displaying a
completely black image when the brightness knob is turned fully to the left.
CONTRAST - Adjust the image brightness in relation to the background using the knob
marked “CONT”.
BRIGHTNESS - Adjust the overall image and background screen brightness using the knob
marked “BRIGHT”
DEGAUSS - To manually degauss the picture press this button. This function will remove any
color impuritites that may be visible in the picture.
Note: - This function is also available on the OSD / STATUS osd menu. See page 5.
The monitor degausses itself during intital power up. Wait at least 10 minutes
before repeating this function.

USER CONTROLS PANEL Product: JH 15C06 CTX
USER CONTROLS:
The On Screen Manager (OSD Menu) controls are located under the metal hatch on the left side of the
monitor. To begin understanding the menu and its usage, just follow these steps for a quick start.
1: Press the “MENU”button. The OSD Menu will show all the available functions you
can adjust or control. Press the “MENU”button again to navigate / scroll down on available
menus.
2: Use the “UP”, “DOWN”, ”-”or “+”buttons to activate the sub-menu with it’s functions and
The function line will turn yellow indicating that the function is selected.
3: Use the “-”and “+”buttons to modify values.
4: To exit from the sub-menus press the “MENU”button.
NOTE: All menus including sub-menus will automatically disappear after 8 seconds of inactivity.
All settings modified will also be saved in the user preset.
BRIGHTNESS & CONTRAST:
These can be adjusted by pressing the “UP”and “DOWN”buttons to decrease / increase brightness.
Press the “-”and “+”buttons to decrease / increase contrast of the picture.
An icon will appear on the screen with the current value for the selected function.
Please note that these adjustments is independent from the manual knobs of the right side of the monitor. See page 3.
LED INTENSITY ADJUST:
The LED intensity of the Power Light Indicator can be manually adjusted using the Power LED Adjust
screw located on the leftmost side of the monitor under the metal hatch.

STATUS MENU: (Sub-Menu)
This sub-menu displays the technical information, such as the current video mode resolution, horizontal
and vertical frequency.
RECALL
Press the “+”button to recall the factory preset for position, size and geometry.
A requester will appear to confirm your choice. Pressing “+”will answer “YES”and restores the factory
preset for the current video mode. Pressing “-”will answer “NO”and exits the operation, and leaves the
user preset intact.
DEGAUSS
Press the “-”button to degauss the picture. This will remove any color impurities that may be visible.
Note: The degauss function can also be activated by using the “DEGAUSS”button. See page 3.
POSITION MENU: (Sub-Menu)
This sub-menu will enable the user to adjust H-position and V-position of the display area.
HORIZONTAL POSITION
Position the display area to the left or right by using the “-”or “+”buttons.
VERTICAL POSITION
Position the display area up or down by using the “UP”or “DOWN”buttons.

SIZE MENU: (Sub-Menu)
This sub-menu will enable the user to adjust Horizontal Size and Vertical Size of the display area.
HORIZONTAL SIZE
Expand the display area left or right. Decrease or increase by using “-”or “+”buttons.
VERTICAL SIZE
Expand the display area up or down. Decrease or increase by using the “UP”or “DOWN”buttons.
GEOMETRY MENU: (Sub-Menu)
This sub-menu will enable the user to adjust Trapezoid, Pincushion, Parallel or Rotation geometry of
the display area.
TRAPEZOID
Curves the left and right sides of the display area inwards or outwards.
Decrease or increase the curves by using the “-”and “+”buttons.
PINCUSHION
Shrinks or expands the top and bottom sides of the display area inwards or outwards.
Decrease or increase the curves by using the “-”and “+”buttons.
PARALLEL
Bends the top side of the display area left or right. Decrease or increase by using the “-”and “+”buttons.
ROTATION
Rotates the display area clockwise or anti-clockwise.
Decrease or increase the rotation by using the “-”and “+”buttons

COLOR MENU: (Sub-Menu)
This sub-menu will enable the user to adjust the Red, Green and Blue saturation (RGB) of the picture.
Mode 1 and 2 are fixed factory preset and can not be modifed. Mode 3 is user adjustable.
Use the “DOWN”button to select mode 1,2 or 3. Mode 3 can be selected by pressing the “UP”button.
The RGB values can be adjusted using the “-”and “+”buttons to decrease or increase the color saturation.
The settings will be automatically saved after 8 seconds, or by pressing the “MENU”button again.
LANGUAGE MENU: (Sub-Menu)
This sub-menu will enable the user to select OSD Menu languages. Available languages are:
English, German, French, Spanish or Italian.
Use the “UP”or “DOWN”buttons to select language for all OSD menu, messages and its sub-menus.

POWER TERMINAL:
Make sure the monitor is turned off before connecting. Insert the powercable into the 220 VDC
power terminal.You may secure the cable further by mounting it to the base mounted cable tie clamp.
TOUCHSCREEN: (optional)
Connect the RS-232 cable to the D-SUB 9P Connector (female) on the rear side of the monitor.
Connect the other end to your COM port of your computer. Install the nesscessary software needed to
operate it.

TROUBLESHOOTING Product: JH 15C06 CTX
COMMON ERRORS:
If for some reason there should be something wrong with the picture quality or no picture present, check
the symptoms carefully and try to cure it with the hints below:
NO PICTURE / LED BEHAVIOUR:
Power Switch and computer power switch should be in the ON position. The signal cable should be
completely connected to the video card/computer. Check the connector for bent or pushed-in pins. If the
LED in front is red, no external VGA signal is present. If there is no light at all in the LED, no power is
present to the unit. Check your external power source. A lack of image is most likely to be caused by
incorrect connection, lack of power, failure to provide a signal or incorrect graphic card settings.
SCROLLING / UNSTABLE IMAGE:
Signal cable may not be completely connected to computer or CRT monitor.
Check the pin assignments and signal timings of the display and your video card with respect to
recommended timing and pin assignments. Make sure that the video card is compatible and that it is
properly seated / installed on the computer.
DISPLAY AREA IS NOT CENTERED / SIZED CORRECTLY:
Make sure that a supported video mode has been selected on the display, or on the video card / system.
If it is impossible to position the image correctly, ie the image adjustment controls will not move the image
far enough, then test it again using another graphics card for the PC system. This situation can occur
with a custom graphics card that is not close to standard timings or if something is in the graphics line
that may be affecting the signal, such as a signal splitter (please note that normally a signal splitter will
not have any adverse effect).
IMAGE APPERANCE:
A faulty CRT tube can have black lines, failed sections, flickering or flashing image.
Incorrect graphics card refresh rate, resolution or interlaced mode will probably cause the image to be
the wrong size, it may scroll, flicker badly or possibly even no image is present. Sparkling on the display
may be a faulty CRT tube signal cable.
CONTINUED FAILURE:
If unit after unit keeps failing, consider and investigate whether you are short circuiting the equipment or
doing something else seriously wrong.

POWER SAVE:
This monitor is equipped with automatic power-saving cicuitry design which will work with any
computer unit following the VESA DPMS detection format, and it meets ENERGY STAR low power state
definition. When power and input signal are present into the monitor, the power save function remains
inactive. The function will then be triggered when the input signal is cut off by the computer itself, or
loss of signal input afterwards.
