Applications
The 6 Foot Folding Utility Ramp is designed to be used in applications that do not require a high weight
capacity or a large lift requirement. The Utility Loading Ramp can convert into a single load ramp or
two single load ramps by removing the hinges. Never exceed the 600 Lb. maximum weight capacity
for this ramp. This ramp should not be used as a wheelchair or walker access ramp.

Safety Warnings and Precautions
WARNING: When using product, basic safety precautions should always be followed to
reduce the risk of personal injury and damage to equipment.
Read all instructions before using this product!
1. Keep work area clean. Cluttered areas invite injuries.
2. Observe work area conditions. Keep work area well lighted.
3. Store idle equipment. When not in use, the Ramp must be stored in a safe and clean location.
Always lock up products and keep out of reach of children.
4. Use the right product for the job. There are certain applications for which the Utility Ramp
was designed. Do not modify the Utility Ramp and do not use the Utility Ramp for a purpose for
which it was not intended.
5. Check for damaged parts. Before using any product, any part that appears damaged should
be carefully checked to determine that it will operate properly and perform its intended function.
Check for any broken or damaged parts and any other conditions that may affect its operation.
Replace or repair damaged or worn parts immediately. Dents or other imperfections in the
Utility Ramp may lead to a weakening of the structural strength of this product; do not use this
ramp if this type of damage is noted.
6. Replacement parts and accessories. When servicing, use only identical replacement parts.
Use of any other parts will void the warranty.

7. Do not operate product if under the influence of alcohol or drugs. Read warning labels on
prescriptions to determine if your judgment or reflexes are impaired while taking drugs. If there
is any doubt, do not operate the product.
8. Use eye protection. Always wear ANSI approved impact safety goggles during assembly.
9. Only use firm and dry plywood with the Ramp Kit. Thin or poor quality material will reduce
the weight capacity of the Ramp Kit.
10. Do not exceed the product’s maximum load capacity of 600 Lb.
11. Do not exceed the 18” maximum lift angle of approach.
12. Make proper ground contact. Only use on a flat, solid, dry surface capable of supporting
the Ramp and its maximum capacity load of 600 Lb.
13. Dress properly. Do not wear loose clothing or jewelry as they can be caught in moving parts.
Non-Skid footwear is recommended when assembling and when using the Utility Ramp. Wear
restrictive hair covering to contain long hair.
14. Do not force this product. Do not use inappropriate attachments in an attempt to exceed the
ramp’s capacity.
15. Keep children away. Children must never be allowed in the work area.
16. Keep the Ramp clean. Prior to each use, clean dirt, oil, or any debris off the ramp.
17. Make certain that no persons or pets are under the Ramp during loading.
18. Be aware of dynamic loading! If a weight drops onto or bounces on the Utility Ramp, it
will create, for a brief instant, an excess load, which may result in damage to the Ramp and
possible personal injury.
19. Stay alert. Watch what you are doing, use common sense. Do not set up and use the Ramp
when you are tired.
20. Avoid working alone. If an accident happens, an assistant can bring help.
21. Always wear gloves when handling the ramps.
22. Always make sure that the loading ramp support fingers completely overlap the lifting
surface. The top of the ramp must be secured to prevent it from slipping or falling. Have an
assistant check the top edge of the Ramp to make sure no slipping occurs.
23. Inspect the ramp before each use. Tighten any loose hardware, replace any worn or
damaged parts. Proper care and maintenance of the ramp is essential to safety.
22. Carefully roll or winch equipment up or down the ramp. Never drive or ride equipment
while loading or unloading.
23. Use the right Ramp for the job. Do not attempt to force a small Ramp to do the work of a
larger industrial Ramp. There are certain applications for which this Ramp was designed. Do
not modify this Ramp and do not use this product for a purpose for which it was not intended.
This ramp is not designed for permanent installations.
25. Maintenance. For your safety, maintenance should be performed regularly by a qualified
technician.

Assembly Instructions
Required tools:

• Electric drill with 1/4” drill bit.
• 7/16” and 9/16” socket with extension.
• Two 9/16” wrenches, 7/16” wrench.
Step One: Cut the deck to the required size. Cut two pieces of 3/4” thick plywood to a length of 36”.
The width of the deck may be from 12” to 48” wide. Thin or poor quality decking material will reduce
the weight capacity of the ramp.
Step Two: Attach joint plates to the end of the Main Beam. Use the 3/8” Bolt, 3/8” Nut and the 3/8”
Washer to attach one Joint Plate to the end of each main beam as shown in figure 1 below.

Step Three: Attach Main Beams to deck. Attach the Main Beam to the edge of the decking
material using 1/4” Hex Head Bolts, 1/4” Nuts and 1/4” Washers as shown in figure 2 below. Drill
and bolt the middle holes first, then continue with the rest of the holes along the edge. Doing this
will keep the deck in place while you drill the other holes. Make sure that the Joint Plates are on the
same end of the deck so that the two ramps sections can be connected.

Step Four: Attach the red Support Fingers using the 1/4” Carriage Bolt and 1/4” Nuts as shown in
figure 3.

Step Five: Connect the Ramp sections. Attach them using 3/8” Bolts, 3/8” Washers and 3/8” Nuts
as shown in figure 4 below.

Step Six: To improve the traction on the deck, adhesive grip tape or a layer of grip coating may be
used (not included). When you are finished using the Ramp, it can be folded for easy storage (as
shown below).
Installation Instructions:
The Ramp must be used on a flat, dry, and level surface. To prevent the Fingers from slipping off the
loading surface, you can drill a hole at the end of each Support Finger, then bolt or screw it down to
the loading surface. Always make sure the loading surface is solid, dry and secure.
