INSTALLATION
WARNING: The trailer tongue must be square or rectangular in profile for this Jack to mount
properly. A rounded tongue will allow the Jack to rotate to the side causing the trailer to fall
suddenly, causing potentially serious personal or property injury.
NOTE: Do not drill holes or otherwise damage the trailer tongue when installing this Jack. Failure
of the trailer tongue may result.
NOTE: Installing this Jack is most easily done with the Trailer mounted on the towing vehicle hitch.
1. Measure thetrailertongue for thebest location tomount the Jack.Remember that theJackmust not
interferewith theVehicleortrailer when turningorpassingover speedbumps,boatramps, etc.
2. Adjust theSwivelPlate so theJackis in thelowered position.
3. Hold theJackagainst the trailertongue, and usingthe Jack Handle(#9), lower theInnerTube (#6)
andCaster Wheel(#7) to the ground.
4. Using the(4) Hardware sets (#2) and(2) MountingBars (#5),attach the Jack to thetrailer tongue.
TheMountingBarsmustrun across (perpendicular) tothetrailertongue.NOTE:Youmay wish to
usesomeremovable thread lockingcompoundon theboltthreads to helpsecurethem.
5. Testthe operationoftheTrailer Jack.Makeadjustments if necessary.
6. Tightenthemountinghardwarefirmly.
OPERATION
Dismounting the trailer from the towing vehicle.
WARNING: Before dismounting, make sure the trailer wheels are properly chocked to prevent the
trailer from rolling.
1. Withthe trailer onthehitch,pull the SwivelHandle(#8),allowingthe Jack torotatedownwards.
WARNING: Keep your fingers away from the Swivel Plate area, and do not allow the caster to
strike your foot, as the Jack rotates downward.
2. Assure thattheSwivelHandle pins are inplace,lockingthe Jack intotheloweredposition.
3. Rotate theJack Handle (#9)counterclockwise tolower the Caster Wheel Assembly(#7) tothe
ground.Continuetocrankjust enough fortheTrailerJack to taketheweightofthe trailer.Thiswill
makeiteasiertodisengagethetrailerhitch.
4. Disengagethetrailerhitch.Remembertodisengage any safety chains,electricalconnectionsand
otherconnectionsbetweenthevehicleandthe trailer.
5. When thevehicleiscompletely clear, and it issafetodo so, drivethevehicleaway from thetrailer.
WARNING: Be sure to have a spoter watch this operation to be sure the trailer is clear of the
vehicle, and that the trailer does not roll away.
Using the Jack to mount the trailer to the towing vehicle.
WARNING: Do not attempt to lift the trailer tongue if it is too heavy for you.
NOTE: You may need assistance for some parts of this operation.
1. If thetrailertongueisrestingontheground,pulltheSwivelHandle(#8) allowing theTrailerJackto
rotate downward. Keep your fingers clear.
2. If youareable,liftthe trailer tongue,whiletheJack rotates intotheloweredposition.
3. Pull theSwivelHandleout,thenre-engage the pins, lockingtheJackintothelowered position.
4. Rotate theJackHandle(#9) clockwise toraisethetrailer to thelevelof the towingvehicle’shitch.
5. Have anassistantspot for youas you movethe vehicle closetothe trailer.Or, if onsmooth ground,
rollthetrailertothevehicle.
6. Mountthetrailerontothe towingvehicle’shitch.
7. TurntheJackHandlecounterclockwisetoraisetheJackslightly,transferringthetrailerweight
ontothetowingvehicle.
8. Pull outtheSwivelHandle,and rotate theJackintoitsupright position. Be surethattheSwivel
Handlelockingpinsare fullyengagedbeforedrivingaway.
