Congratulations! You have just purchased a HealthTeam Paraffin
Heat System from Graham-Field Health Products. Please read the
following information carefully as it is designed to help provide opti-
mum heat therapy.

WARNING: Always unplug the unit from the electrical outlet imme-
diately after using.
WARNING: Do not operate this product if it has a damaged cord

WARNING: This device is equipped with a three-prong (ground-
ing) plug for protection against possible shock hazard. Plug only
into a properly grounded three-prong wall receptacle.
WARNING: Always place this unit in a location where the electri-
cal cord will not be stepped on, tripped over, or otherwise sub-
jected to damage or stress. Do not use this unit with an extension
cord.

body are wet.
WARNING: Do not heat parafn wax in microwave, stove or using
any method other than the HealthTeam Parafn Heat System.

Filling the Parafn Heat System
1. Ensure that the unit is on a level, at, sturdy, heat resistant sur-
face.
2. Remove the lid and all plastic packaging inside the unit.
3. Open the one lb. parafn wax pellets or blocks and place half
of the contents in the unit. Add the remaining when these have
melted. Do not overll the unit. Do not ll the system past the
maximum ll line indicated.
4. Plug the unit into a properly grounded, 120 volt, 60 cycle single
phase power outlet. The red light will illuminate to indicate that
power is being transferred to the unit and that the system is in
the ON position.
5. Place the lid back onto the unit to retain heat.

6. It will take approximately 50 - 60 minutes to see the wax begin
to melt. To melt six pounds of wax requires approximately 4 - 6
hours.
Heating System Overview
The illuminated light indicates the unit is on and operating. The
heating element of this unit heats the parafn wax to approximately
122 - 131 degrees Fahrenheit and will shut off automatically if the
thermostat malfunctions.
Using the Parafn Heating System: For Hands, Feet, or Elbows
1. Remove all jewelry. Wash and dry hands, feet or elbows thor-
oughly.
2. Remove lid from the unit. Test the temperature of the wax by
lightly touching the melted wax with the inside of the wrist. DO
NOT place any part of the body into the wax if the wax is too hot
when tested on the inside of the wrist. If the temperature is too

hot, contact your Graham-Field equip-
ment provider for assistance.
3. If the temperature of the wax was ac-
ceptable when tested on the inside of
the wrist, place the desired hand, elbow
or foot into the wax. For hands, start by
opening the desired hand and spreading
the ngers apart as shown in the picture
at above right. Slowly immerse the hand,
foot or elbow into the parafn wax and
then immediately remove it. Wait 3-5
seconds and re-dip. Waiting 3-5 seconds
allows the parafn wax to set. Repeat this
process two or three times to create more
wax layers. The parafn usually takes
12 - 15 minutes to completely harden.

WARNING: Use with caution if skin is sensitive. Discontinue use
immediately if any pain, irritation or discomfort is experienced.
Note: To retain heat, place the hand or foot which has been immersed
in a plastic liner and cover with the bootie or mitt provided, shown at
right, for fifteen minutes for longer to obtain
the desired heat therapy.
4. After heat therapy is nished, peel the
hardened wax from the hand, elbow or
foot. For hand: begin with the wrist and
work in a downward motion, removing all
of the parafn wax. Make sure that all of
the wax is removed.
5. To maintain softness, massage oil or
lotion of your choice onto the hands,
elbows or feet.

6. Discard the hard wax as it may contain cell build-up from the
skin. DO NOT PUT PARAFFIN RESIDUE BACK INTO THE UNIT.
CLEAninG THE UniT AnD rEPLACinG WAX
Clean the unit when the parafn wax becomes dry or discolored, or
when there is a build-up of skin on the bottom of the unit.
1. Unplug the unit. Allow the parafn to solidify, which can take sev-
eral hours.
2. After the parafn is solid, plug the unit in for a few minutes to
loosen the wax from the bottom and sides of the unit. Then un-
plug the unit.
WARNING: Do not leave the unit plugged in; it could get exces-
sively hot and result in personal injury and/or damage to the unit.
3. Remove the parafn and wipe the inside of the unit with a paper
towel.

4. Make sure that the unit is unplugged and cool before cleaning.
Clean the unit with an all-purpose cleaner (DO NOT USE CHLO-
RINE OR BLEACH) and wipe dry.
5. The unit is then ready for new parafn wax for next use. Store the
Parafn Heat System in a cool, dry place. *

GF Health Products, Inc. warrants the HealthTeam Model PA2293 Par-
afn Heat System for a period of six months for defects in workman-
ship and materials. During the warranty period, defective items will
be repaired or replaced at manufacturer's option at no charge.

Llenando el Sistema de Parana
1. Asegure que el sistema está en un supercie nivel y resistente al
calor.
2. Retire la tapa y todo el embalaje plástico adentro del sistema.
3. Abre la bolsa de 1 libra de cera y utilice la mitad de los contenidos
en el sistema. Añade lo restante después cuando ha derretido.
4. Enchufe el sistema en el enchufe de pared correcto de 120 voltio,
fase de 60 ciclos; la luz se iluminara.
5. Ponga la tapa en el sistema para retener calor.
6. Va tomar aproximadamente 50-60 minutos para que la cera empieza
a derretir. Para derretir seis libras de cera requerirá aproximada-
mente 4-6 horas.

Calentando el Sistema
La luz iluminada indica que el sistema está prendido y funcione. El
elemento que calienta el sistema caliente la cera a aproximadamente
122 - 131 grados de Fahrenheit y se apaga solo automáticamente si el
termostato no funcione.
Para Las Manos
1. Retire su joyería. Lave y seca sus manos
completamente.
2. Retire la tapa del sistema y cuidadosa-
mente pruebe la temperatura de la cera

3. Abre su mano y extiende sus dedos y
sumergiré su mano lentamente en la cera
de parana (como se enseña en la foto a
la derecha).

Con cuidado, inmediatamente retire su mano. Esto permite que la
parana se queda en su mano. Repite este proceso tres o cuatro
veces para crear más capas de cera. La parana usualmente toma
12-15 minutos para ponerse duro completamente.
AVISO: Usa con precaución si la piel es
sensitiva. Interrumpir el uso inmediatamen-
te si experiencia dolor, irritación o incomo-
didad.
Nota: Para retener el calor, cubre su mano con
una funda de plástico y cubre la mano con el
manopla de mano proveído por 15 minutos
para prolongar la terapia con calor (o Para los
Pies: El calcetín enseñado en la bajo derecha).
