INSTRUCTION MANUAL

We hope you enjoy your new PRIMO Positioning System,
this booklet will help you to use, clean & adjust your system.
PRIMO Positioning System has many features including;
Symmetrikit Postural Care have been supplying Night Time
Positioning Solutions for over 20 years.
PRIMO has been designed to provide a versatile positioning system for
Early Years support, to aid Clinicians in prescribing a Positioning System
to Families that’s easy to use and one which can be used Day or Night.
The PRIMO complies with the following British Standards:

CLEANING
In order to keep your PRIMO looking its best
please see the washing and care details below.
Base Mattress Wipe clean with a damp cloth and mild
detergent. Do not use Bleach or biological
cleaners.
Velcro sheet Machine wash at 40°C or less with a mild
detergent. Do not iron, tumble dry or
bleach.
CoolOver sheet Machine wash at 75°C or less with mild
detergents. Low tumble. Do not Iron or
dry clean.

Including the Head Pillow, D wedges, Crumb
& Solid rolls, Horseshoes and Kneecosy:
Wipe clean with a damp cloth and mild
detergent. Do not use Bleach or biological
cleaners.
Machine wash at 40°C or less with mild
detergents. Low tumble. Do not Iron or dry
clean.
Machine wash at 75°C or less with mild
detergents. Low tumble. Do not Iron or dry
clean.

To set your system up:
1: The Velcro sheet is attached by pop studs to the Base Unit.
2: The CoolOver Oversheet is attached by pop studs to the Velcro sheet.
NOTE: The CoolOver Oversheet is larger than the Base Unit and Velcro sheet to allow
the supports to be fully applied and covered.
SECURING STRAPS
Should the PRIMO system be used in
a crib, cot or bed, securing straps are
supplied and are available in
1.5m or 2m lengths.
Apply each Velcro end of the strap to the edge of the Velcro sheet and pull
through excess webbing strap to secure. The straps may be left in place
and unsecured using the magnetic buckle or removed completely by
reversing the application process.
SAFETY NOTE: Please ensure excess webbing is tucked safely away under the mattress.
SET UP
SAFETY NOTE: Please do not use your PRIMO without guidance from
a Qualied Health Professional and agree review dates as advised.

SET UP EXAMPLES
There are many ways the PRIMO can be set up to provide postural support
and comfort and be adjusted to suit changing needs;
SAFETY NOTE: Please consult with your Qualied Health Professional
for conrmation of use.
ACCESSORIES
CoolOver covers are optional
for all the cushions and pillows.
The Head Pillow comes with a
CoolOver cover as standard
Most of the cushions and pillows
are designed to be used UNDER
the CoolOver top sheet, but the
Large Solid Foam Roll, Segmented
Horseshoe, Head Pillow and
Kneecosy can also be used on
TOP of the CoolOver Oversheet
depending on individual
requirements.
SAFETY NOTE: Once all positioning supports are in place,
tuck away excess CoolOver Oversheets under the Base Unit.
