Water and Moisture
The apparatus should be protected from moisture and rain and can not be used

near water; for example near a bathtub, a kitchen sink, a swimming pool, etc.
Heat
The apparatus should be located away from heat sources such as radiators, stoves
or other appliances that produce heat.
Ventilation
Do not block areas of ventilation opening. Failure to do could result in re. Always
install according to the manufacturer’s instructions.
Object and Liquid Entry
Objects do not fall into and liquids are not spilled into the inside of the apparatus
for safety.
Cleaning
Clean only with a dry cloth. Do not use any solvents such as benzene or alcohol.
Servicing
Do not implement any servicing other than those means described in the manual.
Refer all servicing to qualied service personnel only. Only use accessories/attach-
ments or parts recommended by the manufacturer.
Warning
Please remember the high sound pressure do not only temporarily damage your
sense of hearing, but can also cause permanent damage. Be careful to select a
suitable volume.
2 .1 . Unpacking
Thank you for purchasing your ESTRO Series speakers. All units have been rigor-
ously tested before leaving the factory. Carefully unpack the carton and check the
contents to ensure that all parts are present and in good conditions:

If anything damaged during transport, notify the shipper immediately and keep
packing material for inspection. Again, please save its carton and all packing
materials. If the unit must be returned to the manufacturer, it is important that
the unit is returned in the original manufacturer’s packing. Please do not take any

3. PRODUCT OVERVIEW
ESTRO Passive Series speakers are part of a wider range of HELVIA product line. It
oers 5 models, from 6.5” to 15”. These speakers have been designed to be light-

weight, reliable and oer high-level sound in both xed installation and portable
applications. Powers ranging from 130W to 350W RMS, selected transducers,
advanced housing material are the ingredients wisely combined to oer the best
to installers and musicians. ESTRO speakers can be suspended through specic
brackets (not included), with eye-bolts (not supplied) and the M8 suspension
points, or placed on a speaker stand using the D36mm hole on the bottom.

4.2. Rear Panel - Electric Connection
ESTRO Passive Series loudspeakers have two connectors, the use of which you
have to understand.
WARNING: To avoid electric shocks, ensure that your amplifier is
switched off when you plug in the loudspeaker. Before turning on the
loudspeaker, be sure that the connections are correct to avoid short
circuits or wrong connections.
Input - Output Connections
Connection panel at the back of the loudspeaker fea-
tures two 2-pole Speakon connectors.
The two connectors are in parallel, meaning that the
internal wiring connections are the same, and you can
use them both as input or output socket.
The picture below shows how to connect the speaker
to a standard 4-poles Speakon, which has same size
of 2-pole model but, of course, contains two more
contacts. You have always use the rst two as shown
below:

5. INSTALLATION
Read these instructions carefully before installing and using the product.
• When the speaker is installed in a wall, check that the wall structure is reliable
and that the speaker is rmly attached.
• Do not install the speakers in ne wood or soft wall material because the
screws can get loose, causing the crash or breakdown of the speakers and
personal injury. Do not use nails, adhesives or other unauthorized devices.
Long-term use and vibrations may cause it to fall easily.

• Do not listen to sound at a very high level when you are changing the input
source (for example, from FM Tuner to CD player). Please be sure the power
amplier is turned o or master volume is at lower level.
• Do not attempt to clean the speakers with chemical solvents as this may
damage the paint surface. Clean with a dry cloth.

ESTRO 10P WALL-MOUNT BRACKET
As you can see by checking the drawings above, these brackets allow various
angles of inclination according to each speaker model. The set consists of a
C-bracket (a), a cylinder (b) to be inserted into the hole for pole on the bottom of
the speaker, and three screws (c) for xing the parts. Follow the steps below for
correct installation of the bracket and speaker.
1. Draw marks on the wall corresponding to the two or three holes on the
C-bracket, and drill the wall using proper tools for the type of wall.
2. Secure the C-bracket to the wall using wall plugs and screws of adequate size
to support the weight of the speaker.
3. Remove the rubber caps (4a, 4b) located on the top and bottom of the
speaker.

4. Insert the cylinder into the 36mm hole on the bottom of the speaker.

5. Place the speaker into the C-bracket and lock with 6a, 6b, 6c screws.

6. Adjust the position of 6c screw according to the 5 or 7 holes on the lower
part of the bracket, and move the speaker so that the selected hole corre-
sponds to the thread on the cylinder. This way you can adjust the inclination
of the speaker.

5.2. Wall-Mount Speaker Stand
All ESTRO series loudspeakers can be xed to walls in horizontal position by using
the SOUNDSATION WSS-08 wall-mount speaker stand.
This accessory (optional) uses the 36mm pole hole on the bottom of the ESTRO
speakers and allows a horizontal inclination of +/- 90 °, and 3-position vertical
inclination at 0 °, -20 °, -40 °. Maximum load is 50kg.

5.3. Hanging with Eye-bolts
ESTRO speakers come with four M8 xing points
(one on each side) for suspended use.
Remove the rubber plugs that normally cover these
holes, and use high-quality safety wires (like the
ones listed below. Hang the speaker to stable struc-
tures, and bes ure they can bear at least 10 times
the weight of the speaker.

For safety reasons, do not place one loudspeaker on top of another without prop-
er fastening systems. If you use the loudspeakers outdoors avoid places that are
exposed to bad weather or saltiness.
WARNING: Never use the handles to hang the speaker!
Estro Series speakers, in addition to the wall-mount xing and the hanging with
eye-bolts described in the previous sections, has the following mounting options:
yFloor or stacked use as normal speaker in vertical;
yStand-mount (tripod or pole through the Ø36mm hole on bottom);
yFloor use as stage monitor in horizontal with 30° o 45° angles).

6. WARRANTY AND SERVICE
All HELVIA® products are covered by warranty according to European regulations (2 years
in the case of purchase by private person - B2C; 1 year in the case of purchase by company
- B2B). The warranty is valid from the date of purchase by the end user (private individual
or company), indicated in the purchase document (receipt in the case of private person;
invoice in the case of company). The following cases / components are not covered by the
above warranty:
yAll accessories supplied with the product;
yImproper use;
yFailure due to wear and tear;
yAny unauthorized modication of the product by the user or third parties.
HELVIA must meet the warranty obligations due to any non-compliant materials or manu-
facturing defects, by remedying free of charge at HELVIA’s discretion by either repairing or
replacing specic parts or the entire equipment. Any defective parts removed by a product
in the event of a warranty claim become property of HELVIA.
During the warranty period, defective products can be returned to HELVIA retailer or
installer with proof of original purchase (receipt or invoice). To avoid damage during trans-
port, please use the original packaging, if available. For more information, visit the website

7. WARNING
READ CAREFULLY - only for EU and EEA (Norway, Iceland and Liechtenstein).
This symbol indicates that the product must not be disposed of with household waste,
according to the WEEE directive (2202/96/EC and subsequent amendments) and national
legislation.
The product must be delivered to a designated waste collection center (e.g. on an autho-
rized one-for-one basis when you buy a new similar product, or to an authorized collection
site for recycling waste electrical and electronic equipment).
Improper handling of this type of waste can have a negative impact on the environment
and human health due to potentially dangerous substances that are generally associated
with electrical and electronic equipment. At the same time, your cooperation in the proper
disposal of this product will contribute to the eective use of natural resources.

Acqua / Umidità
L’apparecchio deve essere protetto dall’umidità e dalla pioggia, non può essere
usato in prossimità di acqua; ad esempio nei pressi di una vasca da bagno, di un
lavandino, di una piscina, etc.
Calore
L’apparecchio deve essere posto lontano da fonti di calore come radiatori, stufe o
altri apparecchi che producono calore.
Ventilazione
Non ostruite le prese d’aria per la ventilazione: ciò potrebbe provocare incendi.
Installate sempre l’unità secondo le istruzioni del produttore.
Introduzione di Oggetti e Liquidi
Non introdurre oggetti o versare liquidi all’interno dell’apparato per ragioni di
sicurezza.
Pulizia
Pulite solo con un panno asciutto. Non utilizzate solventi come benzolo o alcol.
Manutenzione

I diusori della serie passiva ESTRO fanno parte di una gamma più ampia della
linea di prodotti HELVIA. La linea ore 5 modelli con woofer da 6.5 ”a 15”. Questi
diusori sono stati progettati per orire leggerezza, adabilità e un suono di alto
livello sia in installazioni sse che in applicazioni portable. Potenze comprese tra
130W e 350W RMS, trasduttori selezionati, materiale di alloggiamento avanzato
sono gli ingredienti sapientemente combinati per orire il meglio ad installatori e

3.2. Pannello Posteriore - Connessioni Elettriche
Gli diusori della serie ESTRO hanno due connettori, il cui utilizzo è necessario
comprendere.
ATTENZIONE: per evitare scosse elettriche, assicurarsi che l’ampli-
ficatore sia spento quando si collega il diffusore. Prima di accendere
il sistema, assicurarsi che i collegamenti siano corretti per evitare
cortocircuiti o collegamenti errati.
Connessioni di ingresso e uscita
Il pannello di connessione sul retro dell’altoparlante è dotato di due connettori
Speakon a 2 poli.
I due connettori sono in parallelo, il che signica che
i collegamenti del cablaggio interno sono gli stessi e i
connettori possono essere utilizzati sia come presa di
ingresso che di uscita.
L’immagine sotto mostra come collegare il diusore
a uno Speakon standard a 4 poli, che ha le stesse
dimensioni del modello a 2 poli ma, ovviamente, con-
tiene altri due contatti. Usare solo i primi due come
mostrato di seguito:
