HH Cricket User manual

Active transfer: Sit to Stand
The Cricket is designed to enable quick and easy seated transfers and freewheeling around the home, school, community or hospital
care setting for clients who can weight bear for a short period. Transfers using the Cricket typically only requires one carer.
To transfer a client out of the Cricket, reverse the above procedure.
7
Instructions For Transfers
Move the Cricket from in front or behind
to freewheel to desired location.
Tip: Lead with the large castors,
particularly over door thresholds. The
small castors make it much easier to
move on thick carpets.
Guide the client to sit back down in the
seat. Once they are comfortable and
secure, release the brakes.
5
Whilst the client is standing, hook the
the back bars into position behind the
client. Ensure the seat is secure.
4
RX05240 Issue 13
With the client holding on to either the
side or front bars, support the client as
they stand on the footplate.
32
Move the Cricket under the client as far
as possible, placing feet on the footplate.
Apply brakes. Please see separate guide
on height adjustment.
Start with the back bars pointing
outwards and the seat hooked on one
side only.

The Cricket should be inspected before use in
accordance with the safety check list on page 3.
